Noel and Gill were very welcoming. The cottage was in a lovely set up private and surrounded by trees. Lovely little touches like home made baking on the bench when we arrived. They have thought of every little detail.

Wunderschöner, liebevoll gestalteter Garten. Heimeliger Sitzplatz im Freien und ein toller, perfekt platzierter Grill. Wir wurden sehr nett in Empfang genommen trotz frühzeitiger Ankunft. Die selbstgebackenen Kekse waren nicht zu toppen :-) Vielen herzlichen Dank für diesen Aufenthalt!

Peaceful setting on outskirts of Cromwell. Lovely retreat. Lives up to it's name. Great base for vineyard tours, walking or biking trails. Excellent facilities with all the amenities.

My stay at Burn Cottage far exceeded my expectations. The location is so close to Cromwell yet rural, very peaceful and private in the most beautiful surroundings. Gill went above and beyond, it is clear every detail is thought of and the house keeping was just immaculate. I could live here! I travel to Cromwell quite often and this will definitely be my home away from home.

The location was excellent. Cabins are nestled in a beautifully maintained park like setting. It was a pleasure to explore the gardens. We were greeted by the host personally and received a tour of our accommodation. The place was exceptional, clean and well laid out. Absolutely deserving of a 10 rating that we are giving and we would not hesitate to go back anytime.

There was nothing not to like, Burn Cottage Retreat was the best stay during our 6 day visit to NZ

The breakfast was generous and delicious! The granola was full of goodness which went beautifully with the vanilla yoghurt and stewed apricots. They provided a quality coffee making machine with pods.

It was very hot when we were in Cromwell and there was no air conditioning. However, with screen covered windows windows and a floor fan the cottage was kept comfortable.

Burn Cottage Retreat is an epic place and we enjoyed every single minute there. The garden is absolutely stunning and the cottage is beautiful and soooooo clean. It is equiped with all you need! Never seen such neat drawers in my entire life :). Gill and Noel are lovely and kind hosts. They put all their heart, soul and hard work into this epic place to share it with travellers like us. We feel blessed that we had the opportunity to stay there for a few days. We where spoilt every day with treats from Gill's kitchen, which we really enjoyed. I want to thank Gill once again for helping and assisting me in a medical issue while I was there. It is much appreciated. Definately the most beautiful place we stay at in NZ!

このコテージの名前にもあるように「リトゥリート＝retreat（現実から離れた空間）で過ごす」といった意味が本当に相応しいくらい、のどかで落ち着いた別荘のように感じられる施設でした。もちろん、この施設を利用するにはレンタカーがないとこの場所には行けません。町はCromwelという地名のところにあり、クイーンズタウンとワナカ湖との間にある町です。大型スーパーは、NEW WORLD 1店とFRESH MARt 1店があります。ハイシーズンに行かれるなら夕方以降にこの大型スーパーに行ってもパンなどがほとんど売り切れている状況なので注意してください。オーナーのNoel &Gillさんがとても暖かく受け入れてくれます。絶対に宿泊すべきです。また泊まりたいと思っています。

Lovely location, cottage perfect for a getaway for a few days or longer for activities around Queenstown and Wanaka. Noel & Gill were fantastic hosts.

Much better than the heart desires! The most welcoming hosts, all amenities, and a cozy fireplace, as if all the rest was not warm enough :)

It was all perfect. The unit was exceptionally clean and comfortable, and had everything we needed. A very relaxing location. The bed was comfortable, and the garden surroundings were restful.

The service and little touches, like the fire burning, the fresh baking on arrival, the treats and the walnuts, made our stay feel that much more special. The gardens were lovely to explore and the laundry room was a welcome surprise.

A retreat it is! This is one of if not the best self-catering places I’ve been at. Cozy, comfortable, clean and has everything one needs. Even, home-made cookies. I had a wonderful welcome by Gill and Noel and they were happy to help with everything. The surroundings are wonderful, don’t miss their garden, it’s wonderful. I did not want to leave the place. I wish I could have stayed more than the two nights booked.

This cottage is made good maintenance. And also have great atmosphere.

The property is beautiful, many varied gardens to explore/ relax in. Gill and Noel provided many thoughtful touches to elevate the comfort of our stay, including home baking, walnuts from the property, daily cleaning service and even the offer to drive us to a local restaurant. The property is on a lifestyle block that has friendly sheep and great views of the sunrise/sunset from the hill through the gate. We highly recommend this accommodation.

The special Breakfast Basket filled with local goodies was delicious and abundant. The location was so and charming! A little piece of heaven. Gill and Noel were friendly and so helpful answering questions and taking care of every detail to make our stay special!! Highly recommend staying a few days at this retreat.

Cottage was a delight and above expectations with wonderful hosts. Set among a beautiful garden and nestled in a walnut grove we had a most enjoyable stay. Tranquil living very close to centre. Just keep doing what you are doing.

There really is nothing that you can do to improve the experience. An exceptional stay.

We were greeted with home baking on arrival at this beautiful cottage which was well received, located in an immaculate garden setting being very peaceful. Hosts are very helpful, we chose to have the continental breakfast which was delivered prior evening, home made Jams,Muesli, local fruits, breads croissant and hosts delicious yoghurt. Everything you could want for on a break away. Highly rate Burn Cottage.

A beautiful green oasis set in a grove of walnut trees and cared for gardens. We stayed for ten nights in our well equipped, comfortable and sunny cottage. Tucked well away from the highway but very close to Cromwell. Gill and Noel were such friendly, generous and helpful hosts.

The location is well signposted from the road. My wife and I easily found it. The 3 cottages are modern, luxurious and well placed to provide privacy to all their guests. Our hosts were very friendly and provided home baking on arrival. Would have stayed there longer but we had to leave earlier than expected. Our hosts offered to refund us the unused stay and as added extra provided a packed lunch for our trip back home. Would recommend Burn Cottage Retreat to anyone whether it is for a quiet relaxing time or as a base for exploring the local district.

Super stay! This place is idyllic, very private, clean & comfortable. Even a grill of our own! The hosts were exceptionally friendly & gave us good tips about the area. Great 4 nights, would stay again.

I booked this for my parents as part of an anniversary trip and they loved their stay here. they said the couple who owned the cottages were lovely, they thought the cottage was really cosy, they loved the farm animals and the walk up the hill. thank you so much for making this a great stay for them

The cottage, the gardens, the location and the care and attention of the hosts was of extremely high quality for a self-catering property pitched to the independent traveller. It is a peaceful spot punctuated only by the sound of walnuts dropping to the gravel driveway, inquisitive sheep peering at their new visitors through the fence, or industrious Californian quail passing through on the hunt for insects in the lawn. A delightful spot in a beautiful part of Central Otago.

Burn Cottage Retreat is set in an amazing garden and there are a large number of birds in the garden. We even saw a Tui. The cottages are extremely comfortable and we had a fantastic relaxing time before heading off to a crazy wedding in Wanaka.

This property has just changed hands, but the new owners Jill and Noel were amazing and super helpful. We had a wonderful 4 days staying here - so relaxing and the perfect place to use as a base to get to see Wanaka, Clyde, Arrow Town and the Cromwell area. The accommodation was so relaxing, with a laundry on site to. Wonderful tea and coffee amenities and the place was just wo comfy and perfect. Would have loved to stay all year :) We will definitely be back. Honestly we can't say enough good things, but the warmth of the wonderful hosts was the icing on the cake.

The garden in which the cottages are set is beautiful. Cecilia is a wonderful host. She drove us to our dinner venue one night without us asking. When we were there an orphan lamb followed her everywhere she went. Burn Cottage was a lovely and relaxing place to stay. The space inside the cottages is welcome if you’ve been staying in hotel rooms.

Quiet, secluded, top condition, superb welcoming and helpful hosts. We shall return without hesitation.

Everything at Burn Cottage is exactly as described. It is five star luxury with every possible detail considered, from bathroom toiletries through to kitchen utensils. The bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in and the cottage was wonderfully peaceful. Thank you Cecilia and Darryl for letting us stay - please can we come back? 😉
