Sehr schöne Unterkunft nettem Service und tollem Essen. Die Landschaft ist atemberaubend und man kann direkt von der Unterkunft loswandern. Wir waren mit Kind, Teenager und Hund unterwegs und alle haben sich Wohlgefühlt.

Ein zünftiges Quartier im Hüttenstiel in herrlicher Lage an einem einsamen See. Einfache, aber freundliche und saubere Ferienwohnung. Entsprechende Gemeinschaftsräume. Sehr freundliches Betreiberehepaar. Gutes Frühstücksbuffet (extra) und sehr gutes Dinner (wenn auch nicht günstig).

Frukosten var okej, bra att det gick att köpa till då vi bara stannade en natt. Lite dyrt dock. Fantastisk utsikt och i lägenheten var allting fräscht.

Astounding! This was just a stopover night for us but we couldn't have been more pleased. The accommodations were simple, clean, and comfortable. The food and view were the biggest surprises! Of course there are gorgeous views everywhere, but the view from the dining room was above and beyond. And the food! Some of the best food we've had in Norway. We weren't expecting anything fancy, but were thoroughly impressed! The staff were so courteous and helpful and friendly, showing us the games to help entertain the children and offering us plenty of flexibility. Even the host kitty was delightful.

Vores hytte virkede lidt slidt. Opvaskemaskinen virkede ikke og køkkenet var sparsomt udstyret. Der er lagt op til, at man spiser på stedets restaurant. Dyreste overnatning på vores rundtur i Norge, men bestemt ikke den bedste. Umiddelbart ikke value for money.

The view from the room could have been better.

The hotel is located around 1000 meters above sealevel, so hiking to the top of any mountains is very simple. The view is spectacular with a lake and surrounded white and green mountains. The main road continues past the hotel in both directions to some rough looking nature making the way to the hotel spectacular. We came via the Aurland Fjellet, which is part of a scenic routes, famous for its views.

Anne and Tore, the owners, were wonderful, making us feel so comfortable, the food was absolutely delicious and the location was incredible. It’s a very special place that I fully intend to return to.

The hotel is in a unique and beautiful position; the views are incredible. The room was spotless, cosy and a great size. The homecooked food was exceptional and the host was super friendly and helpful; we wish we could have stayed longer.

Einzigartige Umgebung mitten im Fjell, nicht ganz billig, Frühstück gut, Zimmer neu renoviert schön eingerichtet, das Abendessen ist selbst für norwegische Verhältnisse deutlich zu teuer.

The roaming sheep damaged the cars. Left scratches most of the way down the cars. Owner not interested in resolving.

Beautiful lakeside setting we wish we could have enjoyed longer. Staff member reached out to us when we were running late from a mountain hike and made arrival easy for us. Friendly cat brought us a "gift" after we arrived and kept the vermin away while we slept. Most excellent breakfast in the morning was a classic spread of Scandinavian "bread," which is bread, eggs, cheeses, meats, fresh fruit, cereal, and much more, all serviced in the dining room with a view of the lake.

De locatie is prachtig, met uitzicht over het meer. De gastvrouw is uiterst vriendelijk en er heerst een ontspannen sfeer, met een prachtig uitzicht in het restaurant. Erg gezellig. Verder was alles tijdens het verblijf in orde, en de bedden zijn heerlijk.

An unassuming property that shined once you stepped in. The room was spacious and comfortable. The reception, library lounge, and restaurant exuded Norwegian charm.

Lovely location, convenient for our road trip, had its own restaurant

Booked a room for 3 but discovered at 5am that there were only 2 cups, 2 glasses so had to share. We had to report for dinner at 7pm, soup was served immediately then we waited 40 minutes for our (mediocre) meal to be delivered. No vegetarian/pescatarian option - “we ran out of fish at lunch time”.

Location was great!

I would have like better bread at breakfast and unsweetened, natural yoghurt.

Really friendly staff, a sauna, a jacuzzi and a view! I would really recommend this hotel!

The location up in the mountains was great. The room had two sitting chairs and 3 (we needed 2) beds. Bathroom etc. was good. The common lounge area was comfortable and had wi-fi. There was a small set menu as a "cafe" which we chose, and later there was a dinner (which needed reservation) with the plate of the day. Excellent breakfast.

No wi-fi in the room (we knew that, but it was the only place we have stayed at recently where this was true). The view, considering the location could have been better - they should have built the rooms a little higher than the parking and reception area!

Superb location with views of the mountains. Facilities such as sauna. Wonderful dinners. Pleasant and always helpful staff. Easy access from the road. Hiking trails starting just outside of the hotel.

Vi ble møtt med 14 grader på rommet, siden termostaten på rommet var skrudd ned. Bare en pute å velge mellom og den passet ikke meg. Frokost kl 8 og middag kl 19. Ikke noe valg der i gården. Maten måtte vi selv rydde av bordet og vi ble anmodet om selv å ta av sengetøyet når vi dro (pga covid...). Minnet mer om en leirskole enn et hotell. Skuffende til den prisen. På den positive siden: hyggelig betjening og søte hotellkatter.

Flott beliggenhet, godt stort rom. Mat trekker ned. Vi bestilte en fastsatt 3 retters middag. Denne bar preg av å ha blitt laget en god stund tidligere og varmet opp. Dressing med tørr kant og kjøtt som ikke var ordentlig varm. Servitør snakket meget dårlig engelsk og missforsto det meste vi spurte om. Dette er ikke det vi forventet av en slik fjellstue/fjellhotell.

Finn beliggenhet og god stand på leiligheten.

Meget hyggelig og serviceinnstilt betjening. Særdeles god middag ! 3. gangen vi er der og kommer gjerne igjen.

This is a beautiful location. The landscape is spectacular and keeps surprising with its beauty as the light changes. Make sure you take a walk down to the water front in the evening. This is perfect spot if you are driving from Oslo to Flam wanted to enjoy Norwegian landscape. Leave early in the morning to Flam you will love the drive there are may tunnel on the way to Flam and narrow roads but the view is spectacular. Watch out for those Sheep its their country so respect their space and don't Honk!!! One of the Tunnel is very narrow so watch out for the red signal and wait till it turns green before proceeding. Cant wait to get back here.
