Amazing boutique hotel on the west bank of Luxor, far from the hustle and bustle, and very authentic. Very nice refreshing pool in the shade.

I chose Embrace Hotel mainly because I was attracted by its beautiful courtyard and architecture, and I stayed there with a group of women while organizing a women’s retreat.

Unfortunately, the actual experience came with a number of very unpleasant surprises. First of all, the breakfast was more of a snack than an actual breakfast, and unfortunately, it was not good at all. The positive side is that the hotel cats certainly enjoyed it. As for the restaurant, being in Egypt, I expected to have the opportunity to discover some traditional Egyptian food. Instead, the menu consisted mostly of standard dishes that you can find almost anywhere. On top of that, it took approximately one hour for an order to arrive, and even the coffee was not good. However, the most serious issue had nothing to do with the food or the service, but with my personal safety inside the hotel. I had an extremely uncomfortable experience with the owner’s eldest son, Kareem, who repeatedly made unwanted advances towards me and gave me personal compliments that went far beyond what I considered appropriate in an interaction between hotel staff or management and a guest. I made it very clear that I was not interested and also told him that I am in a relationship. Despite this, he did not respect that boundary and continued to approach me and insist. His behavior made me feel harassed and, most importantly, unsafe. The situation became uncomfortable enough that the women participating in the retreat I was organizing began accompanying me whenever I moved around the hotel because they were concerned about me being approached by him again when I was alone. Even in my own room, in order to feel safe enough to sleep, I made sure that my door was locked twice and that the balcony door was securely closed. I believe that the fact that a guest feels the need to take these kinds of precautions inside a hotel says enough about the seriousness of the experience. Another disappointing aspect was the complete lack of flexibility. Even though the hotel was almost empty, I asked whether I could extend my check-out time by just two hours, but my request was refused.

Muy amplio el baño, de la ducha sale buena cantidad de agua. La cama comoda. El lugar tiene una buena pileta y un jardin bellisimo.

The interior of the hotel is good.

No wifi in the room. And the location is not safe at all. Specifically for Solo woman travellers.

We loved Embrace Hotel, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool and meditation room were particular highlights. The style of the building and gardens was beautiful and lovely to relax in.

Sadly there was no wifi as advertised. We asked about this and were told it worked in the lobby but that also didn't work, unfortunately. The room was spacious and clean however, the sheets were pretty old and rough.

Een oase in de chaos van Egypte. Heerlijk fris en schoon zwembad. Het ontbijt was ook goed. Er werden verse eieren en pannekoeken voor je gebakken.

Wunderschöner Garten und tolles palastähnliches Gebäude. Sehr authentisch! Es gab einen wunderschönen Yoga-Raum. Das Zimmer ist einzigartig und geräumig. Es gibt einen großen Kühlschrank.

Frühstück war eher klein, aber man findet was. Die Zimmer waren durch die typisch ägyptische Bauweise sehr hellhörig. Ich empfehle Oropax :) Die im Hotel angebotenen Preise für die Fahrten zu den Tempeln oder dem Tal der Könige sind mit 25 € schon etwas hoch. Lieber vor Ort ein Tuk Tuk oder ein Taxi nehmen.

Tolles Hotel am Westufer, nettes Personal und wunderschöner Garten mit Pool.

Très joli hôtel aménagé avec goût. Les chambres sont grandes et confortables. Choisir celles avec vue sur la montagne qui ont une terrasse. Grande salle de bains. Jolie piscine où l'eau est filtrée naturellement sans produits chimiques, jardin fleuri bien agréable et service attentionné. L'hôtel peut vous proposer des chauffeurs pour les visites (indispensable). L'emplacement au sein du village permet de s'imprégner de la vie égyptienne tout en étant au calme. Bon restaurant, service de bar en continu.

It was very clean and comfortable

It is located inside the village with no paved roads and no quaint businesses around, so you can feel a bit confused (like we did as we arrived late at night) Breakfast could be a bit more varied, we ate the same thing for 4 days.

The view from the rooftop is amazing especially at sunrise/sunset. Nice breakfast and good food in general. The swimming pool and the garden are definitely a big +. On the west side of the Nile so good to visit the kings valley.

Stunning hotel, staff were really friendly and the breakfast was really good.

All was excellent, just that we couldn't use the pool as it was too cold for this the time of year.

L'éclairage de la chambre était insuffisant. Pas de WIFI dans la chambre. Pas d'eau dans la chambre, il faut l'acheter au bar au prix fort.

De serene sfeer en het uiterst vriendelijke personeel. Je zit aan de andere kant van de Nijl, maar het is een leuke wandeling en niet zo ver, met het bootje kan je naar de overzijde om daar de Luxor tempel te bezoeken.

Bij aankomst zag je niet gelijk het hotel liggen, het ligt aan een zandweg waardoor je bij aankomst echt twijfelt of het hotel nog wel bestaat. Maar eenmaal binnen is het prachtig!

Staff unprofessional Location sketchy I couldn't sleep there because of the location: no lights and didn't feel safe as a woman traveling solo. The pictures are deceiving: you will NOT see what it shows on Booking. I'm requesting a full refund: they don't want to. So I am still disputing the case with them and with Booking to get my money for something I was deceived by.

Un hotel increíble!!! Estuvimos 5 días alojados y fueron fantásticos. Gracias a Karim y a todo el equipo del hotel, las personas pendientes del desayuno y de limpieza eran super amables y atentos. Ah! Y este lado del río es mil veces mejor, más tranquilo, restaurantes estupendos y mil maravillas x ver. Con el barco público cruzas rápido a la otra zona.

The hotel staff were extremely courteous and accommodating. After two days of delays, I was given a flight that didn't arrive until 2am in the morning! The staff communicated with me, throughout my delays, and arranged to meet me at that ungodly hour without hesitation. My room was spacious and inviting. Once I awoke, I discovered a serene oasis that made the wait worth the while. Having breakfast outside in the beautiful garden, lounging at the covered pool and talking with staff, who were super helpful with suggestions and assistance, was a truly magical experience! The view of the city was spectacular - affording me the ability to see the balloons over the Valley of the Kings each morning. Also, I loved all the secluded benches around the hotel, which allowed one to relax in various places and undisturbed. I cannot wait to go back!

There was a strange knocking noise on the other side of my bed a couple of days, which woke me up a couple of times. Other than that, no complaints.

The rooms aren’t ultra modern, but everything else is truly amazing. From the garden to the breakfast, the food, the staff, the location, the building, the smiles, and the service… it’s absolutely perfect for a two-night stay in Luxor. 🤍✨

Embrace Hotel was quite literally perfect. From the aesthetics, the food, the pleasant staff to how serene the area is, I’d highly recommend it.

This was an oasis in the desert! The garden and pool area are beautiful and very relaxing. The hotel facilities were gorgeous. It was very pleasant to have the breakfast buffet in the garden. It is very quiet and your neighbor is a farm. There is a great restaurant down the road called “wolf” that I would recommend. It was also easy for the hotel to set up pickups for you. The room is really big and the bathroom is excellent. It’s a little far from the main area of Luxor but still easy to get everywhere but be prepared to travel on dirt roads.

The bed itself is not very comfortable even though the room is very nice.

A beautiful, clean and comfortable hotel in the true heart of the West Bank. Just 10 minutes walk to the ferry and boat crossings. The area is full of locals going about their day - not full of tourists - so expect sandy streets and a few motorbikes buzzing around, not polished infrastructure! Fantastic breakfast and very kind staff. We also organised some drives to local sites and did our washing - both very easy to arrange.

Such a beautiful property. Wonderful staff. The soap was very nice, I wish I’d bought some. It was so nice to sit out in the courtyard in the evening. We had dinner one evening and it was really good. I had grilled sea bass and my husband had tangine with perfect spices.

Some areas were still under construction. They charged for water but didn’t tell us until the end of our stay. The mattress was more of a futon. Still, the room and facility were beautiful.

I booked Embrace Hotel Luxor expecting a comfortable and relaxing experience, but it turned out to be one of the most disappointing stays I’ve had. The room was not properly cleaned — there was dust on the furniture, and the bathroom needed better maintenance. The air conditioning was noisy and barely worked, which made it hard to sleep at night. The Wi-Fi was terrible. It was extremely slow and kept disconnecting every few minutes. I couldn’t even load a simple webpage or make a video call. When I asked the staff for help, they just shrugged and said it was a “common problem.” The staff were generally polite but disorganized. Check-in took a long time, and communication was confusing. Breakfast was poor — very few options, most of the food cold, and nothing fresh. The location was one of the worst parts. It’s far from the main attractions and impossible to reach without a taxi. The surrounding area felt run-down and uncomfortable to walk around, not even after dark. It definitely doesn’t feel like a safe or convenient area for tourists. Another issue was price fluctuation — the room rate changed significantly from the day I booked to the day we stayed, and I felt the value didn’t match the quality of the stay. For what I paid, I expected a much higher level of comfort and service. Overall, this hotel didn’t meet expectations in any way. Poor maintenance, bad Wi-Fi, weak breakfast, and an inconvenient location — I would not stay here again or recommend it to others. I was surprised with general rating of this facility.

I was acclimatising ready to join a group. Settling into the cultural differences can be headspinning. The hotel started building work which added to the increased ambient noise. I found the noise difficult to get used to.

There is a systemic use of pesticides across Egypt. To keep the fly population down this impacts on pollinators. The charge for late checkout was excessive in comparison to the room rate. $20 for 2 hours. The narrative regarding tips annoyed my companions.
