I understand it is a budget hotel so it was what you would expect from a budget hotel. Basic but clean enough. There were little geckos in our room which were a surprise but they probably accounted for the absence of any bugs in the room. The staff were lovely and very attentive.

Had everything you need for a comfortable stay.

I had to cancel my stay at this hotel due to a personal matter. I initially requested a room change, which they kindly accommodated. However, my circumstances changed again, and I asked to be moved to a different hotel entirely. I was incredibly grateful when they not only voided my payment but also went out of their way to ensure I had everything I needed. Their hospitality was exceptional; they were very understanding and even helped me arrange transportation when I was leaving. I truly appreciate their kindness and outstanding service.

I booked this hotel expecting a comfortable and clean stay, but unfortunately it was far from that. The room I received did not match the photos or description online. The floor was visibly dirty, the bed sheets had stains, and the air conditioner was broken, making the room uncomfortably hot. When I brought these issues to the staff’s attention, they were unhelpful and did not offer any solutions. Overall, I was extremely dissatisfied with both the condition of the room and the service. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend it to others.

We booked our stay at Hotel J Unawatuna through Booking.com and were very pleased with our experience. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel provided safe parking facilities, which was a great plus. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and room service was prompt and efficient. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a pleasant and convenient stay

Room was nice but bathroom could use some maintenance. Staff were friendly and stay was satisfactory.

The location was good

We presumed that the quality and the service of the hotel to be good as it was a part of Jetwing Hotels, but we were absolutely wrong. The room didn’t have at least a tea/coffee station. Not at least a bottle of water, we bought one from the hotel and they charged us Rs 500 when the retail price was Rs 130. The towels were stained. No house keeping was done for the two nights we stayed. The bathroom door was broken, the air conditioner was not working properly. On top of that, the room had a glass strip facing the pool which gave us no privacy.

Firstly, the food was outstanding which was quite a surprise - the Sri Lankan breakfasts were some of the best meals we’ve had in the 2 weeks we’ve been travelling around SL. The bed was really comfortable, the room nice and light with plenty of storage, the shower powerful and the staff lovely. Unbelievably good value for money. The pool was sparkling clean. Supermarket opposite and the beach 20 minute walk (or 500 rupee tuk tuk) away. We liked it so much here that we extended our stay!

Really smelly room and very old facilities. Front desk sneakily charging you before showing you the room. I had to ask for refund once I saw the room and look for another accommodation. Not recommended at all! There are plenty home stays that are cheaper and way cleaner than this place.

the location is perfect, its right off the main Galle- matara road and very close to the highway entrance / exit. this is much better than most budget hotels, or even hostels. the service by the staff and the food/ drink options are very much high. It even has a pool which i dont think many places offer. The staff was exceptional too. Specialyl Janod who was available during my stay. He was well trained and incredibly courteous. Overall such a pleasant stay

The room, though very comfortable, could be a bit cleaner , to be very specific . the bathroom had a pungent smell from the lines- I was barely in the room so the little bit of time i was around it was hard , as the lines seem to have got messed up due to the rains. I think the bathroom could be sanitized a bit better too. I think this has to do with the high maintainance requirement too- as the peopel staying arent the most careful with the property etc. If possible- a bit of maintenance would help but it wasn't the biggest deal.

Foods:Thay have tasty dishes. Staff: Friendly and polite. Very helpfull

Facilities provided: No iron, heater and facilities to prepare hot drinks like coffee or tea in the room.

The room we got was clean, and had a place to eat and also a sink to clean anything you need to, there wasn't a kettle to heat some water so that was a small thing I did miss, although i'm sure if I asked for one, I'd have gotten it. Over all it's a great place for a quick nights rest.

Not much to say here but there is this one issue with the pools location that bugged me so I never used it, that is the pool is located close to the place people will eat, so eyes will be on you as you are swimming.

There’s nothing special about this property. Operated by reputed hotel chain ‘Jetwing’ in SL. But they fail to provide even basic amenities. No one gets water in the room and we had to buy them separately from the cafe. We’ve been to budget range hotels before and at least they provide all basic amenities. (We’ve chosen this because of the name Jetwing as we’ve been to many Jetwing hotels before. But never had a experience like this) We wanted to use the pool but it wasn’t that clean. Don’t get fooled by the photos. The property doesn’t maintain standards.

Just the location

The food was oily and for the prices we paid it was not worth. The manager of the property tried to unlock our room door whilst we were in the room and said he didn’t know it was occupied. When questioned none of the staff were able to answer as to what had gone wrong

The hotel was nice with cozy reception and dinning area, lovely pool and the dorms were good. My dorm had a nice and practical bathroom. Really good for the price.

The dorms, and the beds especially wasn’t very clean. The sheets had stains and it looked like the bed frame hadn’t been washed it a long time. The first day of my stay I came back to the dorms and saw ants all over my bed, and when I asked the staff to come sort it out, change the sheets and stuff, they did a very half hearted job and seems quite annoyed that I asked

Small issue was with the bath towels. After once you wipe they smell very odd/ stinky. And is dark blue colour which usually I don't like. White is white you can see if is patches or is very old. Next time i will take my own towel.
