The view of Erhai from the hotel is beautiful. We managed to catch sunrise from our room balcony. The staff is very friendly and attentive to our request. The gym and swimming pool at rooftop offers great view of the lake as well.

Shops & resturants surrounding the hotel is out of business or under renovation. The hotel is not near any tourist attractions but is a short cab ride to the train station.

국제적인 호텔임에도 불구하고 직원들과의 영어 소통이 매우 원활하지 않았습니다. 총 2주간의 장기 투숙 예약이었음에도 불구하고, 객실 배정 시 동일 건물 내에서 공사가 진행 중이라는 사실에 대해 사전에 아무런 안내를 받지 못했으며, 그로 인해 오후 6시까지 공사 소음이 상당히 심했습니다. 해당 사항을 호텔 측에 전달했을 때에도 별다른 조치나 설명 없이 객실을 다시 변경하라는 안내만 받았습니다. 또한 조식은 호텔의 높은 가격과 등급을 고려했을 때 매우 기대에 못 미치는 수준이었습니다. 사용된 재료나 음식의 전반적인 품질이 저렴하게 느껴졌고, 맛 또한 평범했습니다. 더불어 예약 변경을 요청했을 때에도 호텔 측에서는 별도의 안내나 적극적인 도움 없이 계속해서 Booking.com에만 연락하라고 안내했습니다. 이러한 이유들로 인해 전반적인 숙박 경험에 큰 실망을 느꼈으며, 결국 중도에 투숙을 종료하고 근처 다른 호텔로 이동하였습니다.

Hotel reception area was nice and welcoming. The room was modern and well equipped. Staff were very helpful and friendly, esp the receptionists and lounge staff (Mary, Lison). Breakfast spread was wonderful. Overall experience was great, and will definitely come back again on our next visit.

Enjoyed the breakfast and tea time at 4pm. The rooms are quite big. Easily able to walk to the pier. The concierge was very helpful in booking boat tickets.

10/10! Location, facility, staff... evening is beyond expectations. We stayed three times, and really appreciate the late check out and early check in offered by the staff on two occasions respectively. Will certainly go back again!

The overall experience at Hotel Indigo Dali Erhai was quite positive, though there were a few shortcomings worth mentioning. Two days before our arrival, the hotel's guest service manager proactively sent a text message informing us about the weather forecast and notifying us of a complimentary room upgrade, while also inquiring about our expected arrival time - a thoughtful touch that set a good tone for our stay. During breakfast, when restaurant manager Aimee learned we had an early flight and limited time to eat, she kindly prepared a package of rose-flavored pastries (a local specialty) for us to enjoy on our journey. This level of attentiveness was truly heartwarming. However, there were some drawbacks. The air conditioning system seemed to malfunction, and despite the engineering department's inspection and attempted repairs, the issue wasn't fully resolved. This resulted in uncomfortably high temperatures in our room at night, even waking us up due to the heat. Additionally, while the hotel is beautifully situated by Erhai Lake, the surrounding area lacks convenient public transportation. I would strongly recommend renting a vehicle in advance to better enjoy your trip around Dali. Overall, the hotel has great potential with its beautiful location and attentive staff, but some operational issues need addressing to ensure a completely satisfying experience.

Location is a bit far from sightseeing spot as the hotel is located at the new township. Room quite stuffy and we will need to keep the window open all the time

We arrived at around 3 pm but we were told that our room was not yet ready. We had to wait for more than one hour can get into our room. Such thing should not happen in a 5 star hotel.

The staff were very helpful, especially the front desk. Room was clean with a beautiful view. Overall we had a very nice experience.

Excellent. Well worth paying a bit more for the lake view. Everything that we expected of a 5 star hotel and nice touches like a Dyson hairdryer. We had amazing New Year’s Eve fireworks display outside our window and it was a treat!

Wow… beautiful hotel, beautiful location overlooking the Ehai lake. Keep coming down to Kunmming from Lijiang city. We stoped here for a night. My room is facing to the lake .. so The view just great. I had an exceptional stay at Indigo Dali Erhai From the moment I arrived, the service was top-notch. Hasley Wang warmly welcomed me during late evening check-in and generously upgraded my room to a stunning sea-view accommodation. The breakfast restaurant staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, making every morning a delight. Special thanks to Restaurant Manager Rita Zhao and Aimee for their outstanding hospitality and impeccable service. Highly recommended!"

The location is not near to the old town, it takes around 15 mins by taxi to it. However its view of this hotel is fantastic, I really enjoyed the sunset view from my balcony.

You have to book for the Erhai view rooms it were fantastic. The room were well designed, renovated and come with a balcony. It is right beside Erhai with great views and fresh air. It were close by the main train station as well which is ~20 min drive. The neighborhood were relaxing and great for a walk nearby. Hotel staff are well trained and friendly. The mini bar were free and refilled daily. If you are IHG member there is a complimentary drink at hotel bar (didn’t get to enjoy as waited a bit long and we had appointment afterwards, but the view at the bar is great).

It were quite a distance from most of the main attractions, which could take 30mins to >an hour to get to. But if you want a relaxing vacation, you won’t regret it.

Our stay was delightful, with a splendid view, although it was regrettable that we were placed in a smoke-infested room (627) on our first day. Nonetheless, the manager on duty that night promptly addressed our concern and relocated us to a non-smoking room. He even arranged for an additional bed for my child and assisted with our luggage transfer at 2 am. Despite this hiccup, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and the breakfast was simply delightful. I also like that the staff helped us with our luggage upon reaching the hotel with our transport.

We enjoyed staying at this beautiful boutique hotel on lake Erhai. The room was great w a nice view of the lake, comfortable bed and great shower. Breakfast buffet was excellent. The staff was very nice. Would definitely come here again.

Great location, just 10mins drive from train station and 20mins to airport, a good place if you do transfer / short stay in Dali, because it is a bit far from all the sightseeing place except Erhai Lake. My room is well equipted and has beautiful lake view, which is quite beautiful. Staff is friendly.

The room is really comfortable, cosy and spacious. Having a bathtub is a big plus. Gym was excellent.

Service was decent but rigid. We asked for some help to make some booking but was rejected. Concierge at the drive through is good.

Room layout and size

The location was excellent. The hotel is located right next to Erhai and is walking distance to many awesome restaurants. I forgot my glasses at the hotel and the staff worked tirelessly to ship my glasses to where I stayed after leaving Dali.

We had a great time at this hotel. The entire staff are well trained and very helpful, they are caring and want their guests to feel at home. The restaurant at the hotel is best in town, food is delicious. Great selection for breakfast and dinner. And I would like to mention food and beverage manager Angela Luo, she is exceptional at her work, caring and helpful, very service oriented. Her smile made us feel warm in our heart.
