Beautiful location with a good view of the lake. Lot of options for breakfast. Friendly staff and lot of utilities. We forgot something when checking out and the staff quickly informed us about it so we could get it back.

The AC in our room didn’t seem to work well. I let the staff know about this and they sent a technician but even after that it didn’t seem to have improved.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel, made even more memorable by the exceptional service from Lily. She went above and beyond to ensure our trip went smoothly. As we had to leave very early in the morning for our train, she kindly arranged our transportation to the railway station and thoughtfully prepared takeaway breakfast bags for us since the restaurant had not yet opened. After we had checked out, I realized that I had accidentally left my jacket in the room. Lily promptly helped arrange a local courier service to deliver it to our next hotel in another city, which saved me a great deal of worry and inconvenience. She is a real credit to the hotel, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

It’s literally the worst “5 star” property I’ve ever stayed at. It’s shabby, not well kept, understaffed and while I was there, some lifts and internet didn’t work. Out of the 3, 1 restaurant was closed. Ordered steak for dinner, its was like a piece of rubber. While having breakfast, you’ve to get staffs attention or they won’t care - tables won’t have cutlery, or mats. It’s quite amazing just how bad this property is. I was booked for 4 days and I checked out first thing after first night.

Be careful when you are a family with children. The booking system brought me to the king suite, one of most expensive type of room because we're family of 4. However , there was only 1 king bed which is meant tobe shared between 2 people ( adults ) There was a sofa in the room but it's not a sofa bed. The staff i had a chat with on WeChat pre check in did tell us that we, 4 of us are expected to share 1 bed. It's not acceptable. We paid the stay clearly for 2 adults and 2 children, they wanted us to share 1 bed. Why not just give us 2 smaller basic rooms for 2 people each, to accommodate sleeping arrangement decently. After all the fuss, they gave 1 extra single bed. Meaning some people will still have to share bed together. I chose this hotel tobe safe for international standards in rural area. But they failed it.

We were totally impressed by the view outside our hotel room and facilities of the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had great mulled wine at the lobby bar. Breakfast is amazing. Kudos to the team! I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hilton Dali Resort, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience from start to finish. This isn't just a hotel; it's a destination in itself. First and foremost, the views are spectacularly beautiful. Waking up to the breathtaking panorama of Erhai Lake and Cangshan Mountain from my room was worth the trip alone. The serene and picturesque setting creates a perfect sense of tranquility. The facilities are of exceptionally high quality. Everything from the spacious, impeccably clean room with a comfortable bed to the well-equipped gym and the stunning infinity pool reflects the Hilton standard of excellence. It felt luxurious yet welcoming. However, what truly set this stay apart was the outstanding service. The staff went above and beyond at every turn. A special shout-out to the Concierge team! They kindly received and securely held my pre-arrived packages. Furthermore, upon my request, they helped orchestrate a beautiful room surprise decoration for a special occasion. Their attention to detail and genuine willingness to help was heartwarming and made the celebration extra special. The breakfast buffet was incredibly extensive and delicious, offering a fantastic mix of local Yunnan specialties and international favorites – a perfect way to start the day. As a guest with executive lounge access, I thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary afternoon tea and evening happy hour. The snacks, drinks, and again, the superb views from the lounge, added tremendous value and relaxation to my stay. Considering the overall experience – the world-class brand, the pristine facilities, the unparalleled service, the amazing F&B offerings – the price point represents exceptional value for money in Dali. Many local boutique guesthouses charge similar rates but simply cannot compare to the consistent quality, space, amenities, and professional service that Hilton delivers here.

The location was spectacular at the top of the hill overlooking the lake and the Cangshan mountains to the back. For a hotel in this price bracket there could have been a few more generous touches for example a fruit basket and minibar. Basic dining utensils such as a plate and fruit knife in the rooms would’ve been helpful as one cannot travel with a knife due the security checks on the High Speed Rail Wine glasses in the rooms would’ve been also helpful as the rooms were built with these storage facilities. Obviously different occupants have different expectations as family oriented and couple oriented have different requirements

If this is considered a 5 star hotel then it’s pretty disappointing, there is no water in the gym until I asked for a refill. Toilets in the common area need significant improvement and more frequent cleaning. The view in the lobby is great, but the view from the so-called ‘lake view room’ is just a side view of the lake.

Hilton never disappoints me. Everything was superb. Magnificient view of Erhai Lake.

Beautiful hotel and pleasant staff. I requested for interconnecting rooms as we were travelling with old mother. The hotel upgraded us to one accessible room as well. The breakfast is nice. The air is good at the hotel and it's near 感通寺. The staff just needs more training when there's a big breakfast crowd due to an event.

Located at a hilltop right next to Er Hai, Dali Hilton provided us beautiful view. The hotel is quite large with good swimming pool, excellent kids play area, co-share working space and delicious buffet breakfast. We upgraded our room and was granted access to the executive lounge. We enjoyed the happy hour drinks and light meals there as well as having the view from high up.

It was a great 1N stay at this lovely property. Location wise, it's is located at the foot of Cangshan mountain which offers a very good landscape view of Dali city and lake. Erhai lake can be easily accessed by taxi or Didi around 6-8km away. It is recommended to opt for lake view room as guest can enjoy nice lake view from balcony. Overall room is spacious with super comfortable bed and high end amenities. Executive room comes with executive lounge access which is great as they offer afternoon tea and evening cocktails. Thanks to all executive lounge staff especially Anna for helping me settling my cash deposit during checkout. It such a smooth check in and checkout experience. I will definitely revisit this amazing property in the future.

The hotel location is excellent near the foot of Cangshan. The property is 10 years old. Looks grand from the photo. However the room is dated. The TV didn't work, even after the engineer came to reset it. The breakfast is mediocre and service lousy. The pool area didn't look clean and the air smelled stale. The front desk receptionists were slow and not customer oriented. We were rejected entry by the restaurant receptionist for breakfast on the second day. The front desk didn't have our room numbers down on their list. After i went up to the front desk to show my reservations, they apologized for the error. Will never go back to another Hilton again.

Went Dali 2nd time for a more relaxed break Choose to stayed in Hilton to try out International 5star to see how things are. The location is a little further in from main road, so you would need a transport to get out and get food. The room we got is also further away from main lobby and entrance, so if you order delivery you need to come out from your room. Get to lobby, then to main entrance to pickup your orders/ delivery. Room is comfortable, spacious with bathtub and Crabtree toiletries The balcony we got is a view of Er hai（ 洱海）& Mountain View.

View from room was great. Room’s quality is amazing. You’ll get what you expect in Hilton. “BUT” Just two things, it’s hard to communicate in English even checking in. Checking trouble hold us like an hour, and no explanation given. (I had to make an hour international call to Expedia to know there was no issue.)

A classy property, with great interiors keeping the local culture in mind. The hospitality of the staff is also commendable. Even though they can’t converse fluently in English, they will try their best to serve you. We also thoroughly enjoyed the food served in the executive lounge & breakfast buffet. The Bailu Dali Shilton Hotel is one of the most disgusting hotels, without a doubt (because the stay was so bad that I didn't even bother taking a picture, here's a screenshot of my hotel reservation to prove that I actually stayed there). 1: I saw a lot of bad reviews before booking, thinking that after all, it's a traditional five-star hotel, it can't be too bad, but I was shocked by their operations, they really are disgusting. 2: A disposable bathtub cover is actually charged! InterContinental and Marriott systems have always provided them for free. It rained in Dali in the afternoon and I got wet, so I wanted to take a bath, but I found that the bathtub was dirty, so I asked the front desk for a bathtub cover, but was told that it would be charged! Totally unacceptable! 3: The lock core of the hotel room door is broken and doesn't lock. 4: To save electricity, the lobby doesn't have air conditioning, it's freezing cold when you enter. 5: The edge of the stool at the end of the bed is too sharp and has no chamfering, it directly bruises the leg, and there's still a big bruise on my leg now. 6: The facilities are old (of course, this is no longer a big deal). In short, don't come to this hotel if you're traveling to Dali. Avoid it like the plague!

The hotel was tested of their care towards guests and professionalism when things happened. My 77 year old fell when she walked out of the lift. She could be light-headed due to the altitude or could be just an accident. She fell on her head and she couldn't get up from the position. The hotel duty manager came immediately and came with a wheelchair on standby. However, my mum had to be on the lying position as she was unable to shift herself due to the pain. She has a big swell on the back of the head too. We had to go to the hospital as my mum started to vomit due to the hit and the hotel manager swiftly assigned one staff at the Concierge to accompany us to the hospital. The assigned staff was as professional as his manager. His name is Chao Yang and he was there for us every step of the way in the emergency unit of a local hospital. Besides the beautiful hotel that they offer, what our family most apprecaite was really the help that rendered when called for. Kudos to the team at Hilton Dali and we are grateful for the team. Thanks for going all out for my mum and my family.

The location and facility are good. BUT front desk staff Lucky LI (Xiaoting Li)’s service was terrible, I was shocked and I never met such a case. My train departs at 4pm so I requested 2 pm check out which was approved after I talked with room service line, my 4 years daughter stayed with me and my 70 aged parents stayed in another room, we all booked executive sea view rooms for better service. BUT when we come back a little bit after 12 pm we can not open the doors for both rooms so I had to walk to front desk to validate the key, unfortunately after I tried again after validation, the door still couldn’t be opened. We were too tired so we requested to send a staff to help to open, but nothing happened after we waited for a while, then I had to call again to ask the front desk to open for us, due to we tried 3 times already, finally after half an hour waiting outside, we were able to enter into two executive rooms we booked. In addition, before 2pm we received a call front front desk to push us to check out quickly. I can not bear it due to the I am traveling with my 4 years daughter and aged parents, it disturbed all my day. I wish the hotel could understand how bad I feel after I met such a service, especially with my daughter and aged parents waited long time for opening the door.

Stay away from this dumb place, very stingy and cheap, they don’t care about customer service, they only care about money, very far from places and incompetent service, don’t bother this place, don’t get fooled by their photos, this place is very run down, paint chipping and peeling everywhere, no cleaning at all, with all these people here in China they can’t afford to keep window and walls clean, sounds like money hungry management trying to save money and pocket the money, what a corrupt place, always lying and shut you up

Be ware of wifi, there is a trap of select so call high speed wifi, charged rmb45 per mobile, refuse to waive due to my father ols man doesn't know the digital clearly. We want to change to double bed room due to my bad booked large bed room, charged rmb300. And the reception can't give clear instructions of credit card charges deposit while not holding.

For the big amount of money we have paid for the stay we are very disappointed. Your hotel is not in good order and no maintenance is done since it was built. The jacuzzi didn’t work, the kids club is dirty and many things are broken. Mini golf not working, air condition in the room not working. No one spoke a word English despite this is supposed to be a 5 star international hotel.

Beautiful setting overlooking Erhai Lake. Spacious rooms with large balconies. Great gym and indoor pool. The hotel is set on a large campus with a front garden that has space for lounging. The breakfast buffet is extensive with fresh juices, local Chinese specialties and Western items as well. Service is very good as the staff responded quickly to needs.

We booked 5 rooms. The room are nice, staff are helpful and friendly. However, one of our room the tv remote was not working, and there is a day where one of the twin beds not made. One of the room the cleaner did not removed some dirty tissues paper. We need to walk about 10 minutes to find food outside the hotel. However, these are just some minor issues, our overall stay in the hotel is still excellent.

Hotel was beautiful, with amazing views of the town and Erhai Lake. Staff were friendly, very helpful and professional. Room was huge, and the buffet dinner at Spices restaurant was amazing.

The property is in a delightful location, easily accessible from both Dali railway station and airport, very handy for Dali Old Town, and is a joy in itself in terms of guestrooms, restaurants, public areas, and grounds.

We had a fabulous stay at the beautiful Dali Resort and Spa. Service was friendly and extremely helpful throughout. Scott Yu in F&B made our time especially enjoyable. We also had a gorgeous lake view from our room. Overall, extremely satisfied.

All in aĺl, the 2 nigt stay was very enjoyable. The room is quite large and well appointed. The large hotel has a fine vista of the Dali lake from its elevated position. This hotel was a little bit isolated so one was dependant upon the hotel's facilities. They were however quite good so no complaints. Room service is a bit weak on selection but food good. Breakfast is excellent with a wide selection. The hotel picked us up at the railway station effeciently and at a reasonable price. The free shuttle bus to the delightful old town was relaible. The heated swimming pool and gym was clean, tidy and complete. As I said a fine hotel.

One of the greatest hotel experiences. Hilton Dali has great service, beautiful setting, and a fantastic Chinese restaurant. The restaurant was so good that we changed our plans just to eat every meal there. The location is peaceful and quite but is a bit of a drive from the urban center. I don't mind that since the taxi ride is only about $4-5 USD. Both the hotel and the Dali area are highly recommended.

A nice relaxing stay at a quiet resort hotel. Rooms are comfortable and service is good. The breakfast buffet is decent. The restaurants were good although a little expensibe which is to be expected of such restaurant hotels. The main downside is the semi-remote location. It is not convenient to get to shops or restaurants outside the hotel. A shuttle bus is available at regular times to take guests to the ancient tian of Dali and pick them up.

Manager and concierge are particularly helpful whenever we contact them for something. Every other staff who works pass us will greet us politely. It really makes us feel welcomed as honoured guests. The hotel has a car service (RMB$30) to head into the city, however, the service is outsourced to individual drivers (with their own car), resulting in drivers being pushy. Our driver wants us to call him directly for pick up from the city and when I refused (and use hotel's hotline to call for pick us instead), it just so happen that the same driver was sent out to us and we received a call from that driver, claiming that his tyres have gone flat and will not come to pick us up. He later organized for another driver to pick us up. Facilities are pretty standard with the pool a bit worn down. The interior of the rooms (twin lake view room) are well polished but the outdoor corridors that lead to our building and rooms are below 5star standard in design, it feels like a cheaper Chinese 5 star version rather than of international standard.

The hotel is absolutely stunning! Great interior, new, overlooking Erhai! Only down point is that you need to take a cab going to places and restaurant, but it’s very affordable.
