The bathroom was dirty, there was no shower and no view as shown in their pictures. I immediately walked out the room, took the keys to the reception and left while finding accommodation elsewhere

Reviewed Sep 7, 2026Beautiful view of Noordhoek beach from our unit.. room and bathroom had space for everything, and very comfortable in cottage style decor. Staff were generally welcoming. Delicious food and menu had wide variety for lunch and breakfast. Awesome salmon, cottage cheese and caper open sandwich for lunch (we were out for dinner elsewhere) Great variety for breakfast, cold and hot. Eggs Benedict for breakfast were delicious. Loved the fact that they had almond and soya milk on offer with your tea and variety of breakfast cereals
Carpet shabby, stained and burnt, definitely needs replacing, no parking outside our unit so we had a long uphill walk to the unit from reception below. No plug for basin, bath plug too large so was difficult to wash my make up off. Just a suggestion - sometimes guests enjoy a cup of coffee in the room on arrival and again when waking in the morning. We could only have one on arrival and no sugar or milk for a morning wake up cuppa. I expect we could have asked for additional.

Poor lighting in the chalet we stayed in. The LED bulbs were very dim and we had to use flashlights to read notices or see whether taps were hot or cold, etc! Other than that, all was good.

There was a leakage in the kitchen from the top bathroom 😒 and 2 couches were bit hard not comfortable at all but the other one was comfortable but it was only one had to change for comfort.

Reviewed Aug 19, 2026The view from the deck of Noordhoek beach is incredible, and the slow pulse of the Slangklip lighthouse across the bay is mesmerising at night. Since I last stayed, there have been some upgrades, and the internet connection is now a lot better, and there is a good smart TV in the room. Staff were lovely and helpful and being able to order firewood from reception was very convenient. I was so happy here.
Some of the kitchen equipment, like pots and pans, is old, and scratched non-stick should be replaced with stainless steel. One of the external lights didn't work. Although the rooms are serviced every day, I would have preferred cleaning materials in the room so we could clean up after ourselves. The children's playground needs to be repaired.

Struttura datata. Camera buia e fredda, pavimento sporco e soprattutto 2 giorni con un terribile odore di fogna in bagno, insopportabile, non si poteva resistere. L'acqua calda difficile da regolare. Bagno gelato, freddo per lavarsi il mattino. Cena al ristorante piuttosto basica. Pertanto il soggiorno non è stato confortevole ed è un peccato perché il luogo è meraviglioso e spettacolare.

Even though they provided a bag of wood and 1x fire lighter. It’s really challenging to start a fire with no kindling/ smaller wood pieces. Not very user friendly.

المياه البانيو صفراء هذا امر مخيف موظفه الاستقبال ذات الظفائر سيئه التعامل لحقت بي بالغرفه تطلب مني مزيدا من المال بسبب اسباب غير صحيحه قالت تغير ااتورايخ مع ان الحجز كان مرنا قالت بسبب ترقيته الغرفه ( كاذبه ) قالت بسبب منظر البحر ( مع ان حجزي كان متضمن منظر البحر ) وعندما رفضت طلبت مني الخروج من الغرفه والتوجه للاستقبال فرفضت لاني متعبه اايوم الثاني ذهبت للاستقبال ووضعت الورقه امام وجهي فرفضت الدفع لست حمقاء وقلت لها سوف اقدم شكوى لتطببق بوكينغ فصرخت تنادي باعلى صوتها لرجل الاخر المحترم ان يتفاهم معي وكان ذالك قمه في الوقاحه عموما الرجل تفهم كلامي جيدا وكان مودب لكن الموظفه يجب ان تتعلم ادب التعامل مع العملاء موظفي المطعم ( المحاسبه ) يضعوا اكراميات بدون اختيار او اذن مسبق مني فرفضت ذلك وطلبت الغائها فورا والغوها

The restaurant is lovely, with live music in the evening and that beautiful romantic atmosphere, we had amazing mussels, one of the best we have had in a long time. The view is absolutely incredible, we would definitely stay again.

Bei extremer Hitze draussen ist die Hitze auch drinnen, man kann das Holzhaus nicht abkühlen. Mücken und keine Insektennetze.

Sehr veraltet, braucht unbedingt Renovierung, Ein Gecko ist während wir geschlafen haben von der Decke auf meinen Freund gefallen. Es hat sehr modrig gerochen. Spinnweben an der Decke. Haben in der Decke ein Nest gefunden, sah aus wie ein rießiges Nest für Spinnen.

Our 3 bed chalet was up in the trees, affording stunning view of the Nordhoek area.The food in the restaurant on the whole was excellent with the mussels and the steak being the standout. The team, including the owner Judy and the GM Nick were incredibly friendly and welcoming.
It’s a fairly basic set up but if you approach it with realistic expectations you will have a fantastic stay. The swimming pool has nowhere to sun bathe.

The interior was tired, with chips in the sink, stains on the worktops etc. We would have appreciated nicer soaps, and a coffee press! Disappointed that the pool by the restaurant was more for decoration than swimming.
