Great and very warm hosts! The self catering unit was spotless. The breakfast was lovely, considering my dietary restrictions which the hosts were not aware prior to my arrival, however, Bernadene made sure my needs were catered for.

Nothing much really, rather I would suggest that the hosts should consider an Air fryer and a larger fridge in the Self-catering apartment(s). Other than that, everything was great.

We would highly recommend this accommodation! Everything was clean, and we felt completely safe and comfortable throughout our stay. The breakfast was absolutely amazing and prepared with so much care and attention to detail. The owner is incredibly kind and welcoming, and she gave us some wonderful tips and recommendations for the area. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

Comfortable and well appointed accommodation. Lovely breakfast.

The rooms were beautifully decorated and Linda was amazing. She told us where to go and what to see and arranged discounts for us at the popular attractions. The Karoopot she recommended for dinner was a delight and the breakfast at Die Akker was something special. Highly recommended!

There was nothing that I did not like

Le petit déjeuner L’attention de Linda

Breakfast was most delicious and hostess was so accommodating with any preferences and making sure my child the breakfast the way she likes it. Accommodation was really clean and also close to town. The accommodation was safe and had everything one would need for a holiday. I would definitely book with The Akker again.

We like everything.

Friendly, welcoming staff. Very good location, central.

Slightly small room.

We only stayed one night but it was a very cute guesthouse, felt safe, the rooms and bathrooms were spacious. The staff that helped us were super helpful and sweet! In the early morning, we had an excursion and arrived about 5 mins before breakfast would end but they accommodated us and still provided us a delicious breakfast.

Everything! We had an exceptionally great stay, thank you!

Nothing whatsoever... GREAT STAY!

Sehr gutes Frühstück. Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter.

Vriendelijke host, goede locatie.

Friendly staff, great location, comfy room, great breakfast

Everything! Cannot fault anything. Linda and her team is fantastic at hosting.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The room was spotless clean with everything we needed and so much more. The staff was friendly and made us feel so welcome. Breakfast was delicious, and the location is just a jump away from the KKNK festival, which makes it a bonus.

Nothing.

breakfast eceptional. made to order!

Staff were superb. Location really good. Very secure. Lovely linen on beds. Breakfast fantastic.

Bathroom door - sliding door with no runners to keep in place so not very private.

Fri and Sun b/fast very tasty.

Front door lock in room 7 sticky.

Kind staff, good location, attention to detail

Tout

Rien

Best personal I ever saw. Very helpful and friendly

Very functional place in a central location for an overnight stay in Oudtshoorn. Great value for money.

Warm welcome. Everything was exactly as promised.

Nothing

Very spacious room, excellent location and super friendly and helpful staff.

The room with bunk beds was a hit with kids. Such a well equipped spacious family room. Breakfast was lovely. Kids loved swimming pool. Very knowledgeable and welcoming host. We really enjoyed our overnight stay. Thank you

Nothing

Located in a great area, this guest house truly surprised us. The room was very spacious, had a kitchen with all the utensils we needed, and the bathroom was very clean. There was secure parking as well. The host, Linda, was kind and even adjusted the breakfast to match our dietary preferences. Overall, an excellent stay!

The staff were very welcoming, and accomodating to our last minute needs. They offered discounts for local activities and breakfast.

Neat tidy clean and quiet. Warm welcome and fabulous breakfast. Huge comfortable bed. Walking distance to restaurant for dinner.

Lage, freundliches Personal

Great guesthouse for the families. Good location, super friendly host at reception, great communication before arriving. Very good breakfast, comfy beds.

Nothing.

We had the most amazing, relaxed night at De Akker. Luxurious rooms, set up with such attention to detail. The splash pool and pool area was exactly what we needed after a long, hot drive. Breakfast was lovely. The hostess went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and was kind enough to give us some advice on best places to visit in the area.

Nothing to dislike - it was the best stay out of all the places we stopped at over our 7 day trip.

Staff were so friendly! Clean, comfortable, and very beautiful accommodation.

Nothing!

Clean, neat and tidy and catered for all amenities

The warmth, the welcome, the breakfast, the staff

Not staying longer

Sehr freundliches Personal, leckeres Frühstück, Zimmer sehr sauber, Kühlschrank im Zimmer, guter Parkplatz, fußläufig von mehreren Restaurants entfernt. Sehr empfehlenswert!

We liked the location, the breakfast, the bed and Bernadine was very helpful.

Nothing

no flexibility on cancellation. regardless of reason.

Vriendelijke ontvangst, waarbij we veel nuttige info kregen. Lekker ontbijt.

Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Linda. The accommodation is in a perfect location, and all the tips we received were great. The room was spacious and clean.

Unfortunately, we can’t give a rating of 11, because that’s what the accommodation and Linda truly deserve!!!!

The house is very charming and well laid out. the location was perfect, close to all the restaurants and amenities. The room was very large, modern and comfortable and there was nothing missing. there was a lovely splash pool in the yard, which was a welcome escape from the afternoon heat. We had a lovely stay. We will return again.

Nette Gastgeberin, schönes und geräumiges Zimmer, toller Garten, sehr leckeres Frühstück, mehrere Restaurants in Laufnähe

We were surprised to meet Linda on arrival. How warm was the reception. The rooms exceeded our expectations. The breakfast was superb. It was a beautiful location and the campus of the property is nicely decorated.

Nothing I can remember.

They serve an amazing breakfast. The staff members are all wonderful. My daughter loved the garden and pool area.

I have no complaints.

Klein aber fein. Sehr sauber, super Lage, herzliche Gastgeberin und leckeres Frühstück.

Etwas mehr Spielsachen für Kinder.

Friendly manager, who gave lots of information on the area

Nothing

Central location to shops/restaurants. Secure car parking. Decorations nice and all in good condition. Very clean.

Noisy neighbours/staff at 7am. No choices at breakfast and not asked if we were vegetarian, just given bacon regardless. No light above in mirror in bathroom for shaving. While all boxes were technically ticked, it was generally below what we have come to expect from South African guesthouses we have experienced over the last 2 weeks.

Excellent guesthouse for a family. Location is perfect with east access to restaurants and shops. Friendly host at reception.

Everything xxx

Nothing

Cosy, well equipped room & an amazing breakfast. A lovely host who shares a lot of good advice for the region.

Super helpful hostess

Zelmari (?) at reception was really great.

Nothing

Great location, welcome drink, nice room, friendly staff, secure property.

Can't really complain about anything.

Lovely breakfast, good coffee. Friendly staff, beds comfortable. Walking distance from restaurants. Clean and comfortable room

Would prefer a harder cushion

Safe parking.

All the pillows had a strong, unpleasant odor, smelling of body oils and sweat, to the point that I had to cover them with a towel. Despite my requests, they were not replaced. Additionally, I received strong electric shocks when using the shower controls to turn the water on and off.
