The host is a lovely person and he goes out of his way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The location is great and everything in within a walking distance.

The room was a quite small and a bit basic.

The owner was incredibly welcoming - I arrived a little early with a plan to just leave my bag and come back later, but he checked me in immediately and gave valuable tips about the hanok village area. Staying at this place is like staying at a friend's home - the toiletries don't match, takes a few minutes to figure out the shower, borrowed slippers too large for your feet - the "imperfections" are completely charming and make you feel like a real guest, while your "friend" fusses around, trying to make everything perfect. Overall, the room was functional more than comfortable: the "bed" is a traditional style very thin mat on the floor - just think of camping, but with better linens (he seemed very concerned that the bed would not be comfortable enough) - and it did take some effort and creativity to get comfortable enough to sleep, but this was a choice I made (vs a hotel) to have a more authentic experience. The room was small, but perfectly fine for one. The bathroom was wet room style. I was out exploring (and eating) most of the time so none of this was a problem. The location is exceptional with the hanok village outside your door and 90% within a 13 min walk. I love the garden, which is flowing with gorgeous plants, flowers and butterflies! I sat outside a few times just watching the monarches flutter around.

My only complaint (and something the owner mentioned when I checked in) is that the walls are very thin, so you can literally hear everything, including your neighbours using the bathroom or people talking as they walk nearby. I always carry earplugs, so it wasn't a big problem, but not ideal either.

An extremely helpful host who took plenty of time to answer all of our questions and accommodate our requests. A traditional stay with clean rooms in a quiet and beautiful location.

We spent one night in this beautiful traditional Korean house, and it was the highlight of our trip. The room perfectly blended traditional charm with modern comfort, featuring excellent air conditioning and all the essential amenities, including complimentary water. Our host was incredibly hospitable. He provided us with a detailed map of Jeonju's attractions and food recommendations written in English,, which made exploring the traditional village so easy. To top it all off, he kindly ordered a taxi when we checked out. Thank you for everything! Highly recommended for an authentic experience in Jeonju!

This Hanok was in the traditional Hanok Village and therefore close to markets, museum and restaurants. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was one of 4 or 5 so it was quiet and the garden was very pleasant. This was a fairly minimalist experience but the owner was very obliging when we asked for extra bedding to support our big westerner bones!

This is a 'good to know before you go' rather than negatives. The futons aren't the same thickness or material as in Japan or Australia - think of the thickness of a doona or comforter or sleeping on a yoga mat. The room was small by western hotel standards but is fine if you don't have a lot of baggage. There also isn't a fridge or kettle - fine if you are only staying one night but we were there for 2.

The location was great, within walking distance to all major locations, shops, restaurants, but in a side street so it was calm and quiet. The house and its surroundings are all beautiful, traditional buildings. I also enjoyed sleeping on the floor, despite warning it may be uncomfortable it was great for my back. The host was also super helpful and friendly :)

Una experiencia maravillosa y totalmente recomendable para pasar una o dos noches en Jeonju. Alojarse en una casa tradicional hanok ha sido una experiencia muy especial y una forma perfecta de conocer un poco mejor la cultura coreana. La ubicación es excelente, en pleno barrio Hanok de Jeonju, por lo que se puede recorrer fácilmente a pie toda la zona y visitar sus principales lugares de interés. El anfitrión fue muy atento y amable. Nos explicó qué lugares merecía la pena visitar y también nos dio recomendaciones para probar especialidades típicas de Jeonju, como el bibimbap y el famoso choco pie. Además, viajábamos en coche y nos facilitó mucho el aparcamiento, algo que agradecimos especialmente. En definitiva, una estancia estupenda, muy bien ubicada y con el encanto añadido de dormir en un auténtico hanok. ¡Una experiencia que merece mucho la pena!

Le stanze sono troppo piccole per ospitare famiglie. Si dorme a terra sugli Yo tradizionali ma non è tanto questo il problema quanto gli spazi angusti. Non c'è macchinetta da caffè, non c'è lavanderia. Insomma è giusta solo per una notte se proprio non trovi nulla di simile in zona. Infine, fate attenzione perché l'host accetta solo contanti quindi siamo dovuti andare a prelevare per fare il check in

This hanok was super sweet and my family loved it! The owners are so kind and very helpful, providing a clear map of where to find everything in the hanok village, suggestions for good meals, and also helping us book a taxi when we left. The room had great air conditioning and was perfect for the three of us.

We liked everything! But something to share with people unfamiliar with Korean hanoks: since sleeping on the floor is tradition, be prepared for that. You will not be sleeping on a thick and fluffy mattress! Also, Korean bathrooms, similar to many German and Danish ones from our experience, do not have walls or curtains separating the shower from the rest of the bathroom. This is totally normal, clean, and everyone provides slippers to use in the bathroom because of this reality. Finally, bring cash to pay for your stay. We thought this hanok was great and so well located in an incredibly charming part of Jeonju. Highly recommend!

한옥마을이 별로 안커서 숙소 위치는 한옥마을 안에만 있다면 다 좋습니다. 아담한 한옥이고 옥상에 올라가면 주변 집들 정원이 보입니다. 옥상과 정원에 테이블과 의자가 있어서 간식 먹으면서 맥주한잔 커피한잔 하기 좋습니다. 방은 사진보다 크기는 작지만 두사람 자는데는 문제 없습니다. 화장실도 방마다 하나씩 있어서 필요한 것이 다 갖추어져 있습니다. 저렴하게 한옥마을에서 하룻밤 묵기에 좋았습니다.

This is the place where I stayed with my friends during our trip to Jeonju. The room was a bit small, but it was clean, comfortable, and had a wonderful atmosphere. The owner was incredibly kind, and since it was located inside Hanok Village, it was very convenient to walk around and explore. I highly recommend this place, and if I visit Jeonju again, I will definitely stay here again! 😊

The owners were very welcoming and friendly giving us lots of information where to go and what to see. They were also very accommodating on our last day by storing our bags until later in the afternoon and they called a taxi to the train station for us. The Hanok has a very beautiful garden. Our room was just like I expected with everything we needed (e.g. plug sockets, hair dryer, coat stand) and an en-suit bathroom with the traditional shower. The bedding was soft but I struggled a little in the early morning hours and opted to sleep on top of the duvet to double up the cushioning. All in all, it was a great choice for our 2-day trip to explore Jeonju.

Das Hanok Dream ist mitten im Hanok-Viertel Jeonju und alle Sehenswürdigkeiten kann man zu Fuß erreichen. Mein Zimmer hatte alles was ich brauchte, es war sehr sauber, aber das I-Tüpfelchen ist der wunderschöne Garten. Die Inhaber achten wirklich auf die Kleinigkeiten, sind immer ansprechbar. Gleich zu Beginn hat mir der Gastgeber die wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten und besten Restauranttips im Stadtplan gezeigt, von denen ich auch 2gleich ausprobiert hab. Ich fühlte mich sehr gut aufgehoben und kann das Hanok nur weuterempfehlen.

Die Lage ist genauso hervorrangend wie der Gastgeber. Wenn man mit dem Auto ankommt, sollte man vorher bescheid sagen, da der Gastgeber einen guten Parkplatz freihalten kann.

If you've ever dreamed of sleeping on the ground in an old Korean house, this is the place. Takes you back in time and at the same time uses the comforts of the present. The kindest host we have ever met. He takes care of you from the first to the last moment of your stay and makes you feel like his personal guests and friends. All places to see and eat in the old town are within a 5-10 minute walk from the house

We loved our stay at Hanok Dream! The hosts were attentive, thoughtful, caring, kind, helpful, and generous. For example, he gave us a map with notes and recommendations of places to visit and how far of a walk they were. He was waiting when we arrived and helped get the bags from the taxi. Their garden was beautiful. It was an honor to stay in their home. Highly recommend!

Sleeping on the floor was a shock to my back the first night, but I slept very well the next two nights.

Everyone writes about the owner, and the reviews are right. He’s kind and attentive, he’ll greet you, guide you, and see you off when you leave. The Hanok itself is small and cozy, the rooms are clean, and the garden is beautiful. You’re also within five minutes of the centre of the culture village, which makes it easy to drop things off or head back for a quick rest during the day.

Die Unterkunft ist sehr zentral gelegen und bietet alles, was man für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt braucht. Die Besitzer waren ausgesprochen freundlich und haben uns zu Beginn alle wichtigen Informationen gegeben, die wir während unseres Aufenthalts benötigt haben. Wir haben uns von Anfang an sehr willkommen gefühlt und können die Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen.

The host was very welcoming and helpful with local recommendations, and we could communicate with him in English. He also assisted us to book a taxi to leave the accommocation for the bus terminal. The hanok is well-located near the Hanok Village and Nambu market (the 2 main attractions for which we visited Jeonju).

A reminder that hanoks are not soundproof and you would have to consciously keep your volume down so as to disturb other guests. Fortunately for us, the other guests were quiet. The bedding was too thin for us and made our stay slightly uncomfortable.

We really like this place. It is a Hanok not a hotel, but we experienced exactly what we expected. It is located in a touristic area but in a really quit place. The host is very helpful. Explained us averething we should see in the city and orderd a taxi for us. It is a limited traffic zone so you can't just click uber app.

Everything was exceptional. Owner was very kind, accomodating, and very helpful. Even before we arrived, he messaged us for the instruction on how to get to his place and he greeted us warmly when we got of the taxi. He even gave us a map and highlighted the famous places to visit and what to eat here in Jeonju. The place was clean, smells good was in the center of everything, making it accessible to restaurants and famous tourist spots. Rating HANOK DREAM a 10/10. This is a must stay accomodation! The property is well located. The room was small but big enough for me. A lovely garden area. The host was extremely helpful. He provided a map and personally talked about the location of various sites. He and his wife were very welcoming. This traditional hanok stay is small yet beautifully maintained, offering a serene and refined atmosphere. The tiled roof, peaceful courtyard, stepping stones, and traditional jars create a quiet and picturesque setting under the open blue sky. Most importantly, everything—from the bedding to the room and bathroom—was exceptionally clean and well cared for. One of the highlights was the seamless blend of tradition and modern comfort. The bathroom is located inside the room and designed in a contemporary style, yet it harmonizes perfectly with the wooden beams and classic hanok architecture. Sitting on the wooden porch in the warm sunlight was a rare and calming experience that you cannot easily find in the city. The owner was incredibly helpful, offering local restaurant recommendations and even discounts at nearby hanbok rental shops. The location is excellent—most attractions within Hanok Village are within a 15-minute walk, making it easy to balance sightseeing and relaxation with the accommodation as your base. Parking may be slightly challenging on weekends, so arriving early is recommended. Take your time strolling through the quiet alleys and fully immerse yourself in the charm of the hanok village. It was a peaceful and memorable stay that added warmth to our trip.

The host was really nice. He let us check-in early, as the room was available, recommended many food places as well as attractions around the city as well as ordered us a taxi for when we were leaving. The localisation was perfect, it was right in the middle of the old village. It was very clean and well equipped. I highly recommend it for people who want to experience the old, traditional style of accommodation.

I wouldn’t say I didn’t like it but you shroud be aware that you sleep on the floor on the traditional ’mattresses’ and that the sound isolation is not perfect as the house retains the traditional doors and windows which are not soundproof. Again, for me it was not a problem at all since it was all clearly satiated on the website when we booked it.

I highly recommend this place. I wished I stayed longer. It is really a dream, quiet, peaceful and beautiful. I felt like I wanted to stay there forever. A perfect getaway retreat from a busy life. The host is really sweet and hospitable. Thanks to him, my time there has been so much enjoyable especially for a first time solo traveler like me. He recommended local food places, showed me how to get to the next city in my itinerary and helped me call a taxi. If I need any help, he responds very quickly to my messages. In the garden, there is a stair to the rooftop to chill out there. The view was beautiful. The property is in walking distance to all attractions and restaurants in the village.

Consigliatissimo se si vuole provare l'esperienza di dormire in un hanok!

Die Lage der Unterkunft im Hanok-Dorf ist ideal. Zentral, aber ruhig. Das Zimmer ist sehr sauber und es gibt auch eine kleine Dachterasse. Das Schlafen am Boden ist natürlich ungewohnt, aber eine interessante Erfahrung. Das Gastgeber-Ehepaar kümmert sich sehr herzlich um seine Gäste. Wir haben uns wirklich sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Gastgeber gibt viele nützliche Tipps für die Erkundung des Hanok-Dorfes und kümmert sich auch um das Taxi bei der Abreise.

La struttura è carina e semplice, comoda per arrivare a piedi in poco tempo in tutte le parti principali della città. Il pezzo forte, come detto in tutte le precedenti recensioni, è l’host. Si conferma essere una persona attenta a qualsiasi cosa e disponibilissima, dandoti le dritte giuste per esplorare la città!

Die Lage inmitten des Hanok Dorfes ist perfekt. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber, gut gepflegt und mit einer Klimaanlage gekühlt. Es war immer ruhig. Der Gastgeber ist super freundlich! Er gibt Tipps für Sehenswürdigkeiten, Restaurants und kann jede Frage beantworten, er ist sehr hilfsbereit. und hat uns sogar seine Handy Nummer gegeben falls wir Hilfe brauchen. Es spricht gut Englisch. Jeden Tag gab es gekühltes Wasser am Zimmer.

Our 5-day experience at Hanok Dream has been wonderful and enriching. It felt like being transported to a different era, to the time when people needed less in order to leave. Mr Choi and his wife were kind and friendly, always ready to help at all times, always watching out to provide anything we needed. Their explanations and advice made exploring both the village and nearby places easier and exciting. Everything was really clean and the beautiful garden full of flowers and butterflies was definitely the highlight!! 10/10, honestly. Meeting them and staying at their hanok is definitely worth it. Neither I nor the rest of my family will forget them in a really long time!!!

Que éramos 3 en la habitación y cuando extendíamos los futones no cabía nada más en la habitación. Pero realmente no es importante.

El trato del dueño, inmejorable. Nos ayudó en todo para ver el pueblo, mejoró nuestro confort y estuvo muy pendiente de todo.

It’s pretty rough sleeping on the floor (if you have no experience with this) for 4 nights. An extra pillow would’ve been nice to put under your knees to sleep better.

우선 한옥마을 내부에 위치해서 한옥마을 어디든 둘러보기 좋고, 오목대, 경기전 등 명소랑 가까워서 좋았어요! 호스트님이 너무 친절하셔서 체크인 전부터 이것저것 챙겨주셔서 주차도 잘하고, 알려주신 맛집 가서 너무 맛있게 먹고 올 수 있었습니다. 그리고 한옥마을에서도 꿈스테이 인근 분위기가 더 차분하면서도 전주 분위기를 잘 느낄 수 있어 더 좋았습니다. 다음에 전주에 와도 숙박할 것 같아요♥ First of all, the location inside Hanok Village made it so convenient to explore anywhere within the village, and it was great being close to famous landmarks like Omokdae and Gyeonggijeon. The host was so kind and thoughtful, taking care of many things even before check-in, which made parking easy and allowed me to enjoy a delicious meal at the restaurant he recommended. I especially loved that the atmosphere around Kkum Hanok Stay was calmer than other parts of the village, while still capturing the authentic charm of Jeonju. I’d definitely love to stay here again the next time I visit Jeonju!

L'accueil du propriétaire est au top, bonnes explications, nous donne une carte pour nous diriger et ne pas louper les monuments, serviable, souriant, une belle rencontre. Le Hanok est propre, il y a tout le nécessaire essentiel. Il est très bien situé. Dormir au sol est une expérience, nous ne regrettons pas de l'avoir faite pour 2 nuits.

Hanok Dream is a wonderful place to stay — clean, quiet, and full of charm, with a lovely little garden that makes it even more special. It offers the perfect opportunity to experience life in a traditional hanok. The owner welcomed us as if we were part of his family, taking the time to show us a detailed map with all the places he, as a local, recommended we should visit. This was key in helping us make the most of our short stay in Jeonju. The adorable couple who manage this hanok are the perfect example of Korean kindness — warm, generous, and truly caring. Honestly, a 10/10 experience!
