Excellent value hotel. Rooms were big and exceptionally clean with nice bathrooms. Ahmed and his son were really nice and really helped us with everything- we went on about 3 boat trips with Bassem his son which were fantastic- mantas!!! Bassem was very organised and always kept us updated about the forthcoming trips etc. Plus going with Bassem and his brother on the trips always felt very safe-with lots of info etc. They really tried to give us the best experience. Anmol from India who served breakfast and lunch etc and cleaned rooms was also very professional and very nice. The island is very small so easy to walk to bikini beaches (5-10 mins tops) and the harbour from the Inn.. They also organised our transport from and to Male and onward to next island and Ahmed kindly met us at the airport and then took us back at the end of our stay. Would highly recommend. Oh- and breakfast and meals were very tasty!

Everything was great. The only slight drawback was that the boat trips costs were slightly more than they advertised on their website- but we were told about this immediately and that it was because they hadn't got round to updating it.

Staff was great! Friendly, always trying to give you the best service from the moment I arrived on the island. They are also connected to the manta-call network and diveshop. They also have a speedboat for excursions and fast actions.

Nada, que el WiFi medio funcionaba bien y el aire también.

It sucked, no one else in the place, not possible to do excursions with them, had to plan and organize everything with other inns. Literally had to go knocking on doors and explaining to see if they would allow me to join their groups. Mosquitos and ants everywhere, things worked but their attitude sucked, I would have lost the ferry if i didn’t leave on my own and waited for the manager or owner who knows th only thing he cared about was getting the green tax money. I only saw him when I arrived and when he came full speed to the harbour to get his money. I literally would have missed the boat if I waited for him and if I wouldn’t have texted him before leaving letting him know he wouldn’t been able to get the money that’s how late he was running. Go to violet inn or probably any other one.

Cudowny pobyt. Jeden z najlepszych hoteli jakie mieliśmy. Fajne wycieczki. Czysto. Z dachu hotelu mozna podziwiać zachód słońca. Mogliśmy w każdej chwilii zrobić sobie pranie.Czuliśmy się zaopiekowani przez Baasima 24/7. Bardzo dobre śniadania. Na osobny akapit zasługuje Anmol, który jest najwspanialszym człowiekiem jakiego spotkaliśmy w całym swoim życiu. Jest to najbardziej miła, empatyczna i troskliwa osoba jaką znany. Bardzo tęsknimy za pobytem na wyspie i w tym hotelu.

We had such an amazing time at Hanifaru Transit Inn! The owner, Ahmed, was super kind and helpful – he told us everything we needed to know about the island. When we arrived, we were welcomed with a fresh coconut, which was such a nice touch. The room was very clean and smelled really nice. The bed was huge, and we slept so well! The breakfast was Maldivian and honestly the best breakfast we had on any of the islands we visited! We got both sweet and savory options and could try everything. It was always so filling, and I looked forward to it every morning. The rest of the staff were always smiling and happy to help, answering all our questions and taking great care of us. One of the big perks was the fridge downstairs with unlimited bottles of water that we could grab anytime during the day. It was perfect because we didn’t have to look for shops just to buy water. We could also make coffee or tea whenever we wanted. The room was cleaned every day, and the towels were changed every second day. Communication with Ahmed on WhatsApp was quick and easy. I really recommend this place, and I hope we’ll be back someday!

Alojarse en el Hanifaru Transit Inn es toda una experiencia. Ya en el aeropuerto nos vinieron a recoger y llevarnos el equipaje, super amables. Es un hotel familiar y nos recibió el dueño para enseñarnos las instalaciones, ofreciéndonos agua de coco fresquita. Las habitaciones son amplias y tienen de todo. Las camas son cómodas. El hotel proporciona botellas de agua frías sin límite que puedes ir cogiendo tú mismo del frigorífico. El desayuno era delicioso (huevos, una pasta de atún con coco riquísima, pan, pancakes, algo de fruta, café, té, salchicas..). Desde el hotel organizan excursiones de día entero o medio día con actividades de snorkel, visitas a bancos de arena o islas desiertas, ver el atardecer con delfines, nadar con mantas.. Basaam, el hijo del dueño, es un gran entendido del mar y sabe dónde encontrar lo que el cliente busca (tiburones, tortugas, etc). Con ellos hicimos 3 excursiones que fueron super bonitas y nos dejaron toallas, aletas, tubos, etc sin gasto alguno. Sin duda, un lugar muy recomendable en el que alojarse y para repetir. Un saludo a todos!

Nice family run hotel. Very helpfull personell. They will take good care of you here! Highly recommended. They have also a boat so you can do excursions with them. Bikini beach is 5 min walking. They have also a great cook.

Breakfast could be more variated.

Everything was great! The accommodation was very nice and well kept, breakfast was good, and we really enjoyed all of the excursions we booked with the hotel. Highly recommend!

Everything. We stayed for 4 nights in September. The hotel is very pretty, rooms are spacious and clean. Rooms are cleaned daily. Nice and quiet, easy to walk around the island. We got a lift to and from the harbour with our big bags. We were welcomed to the hotel with coconut drinks. We used the dive centre recommended by the hotel (Mantastic Divers) and were very happy with them. We also organised a manta snorkelling trip, and 2 point snorkelling with sandbank excursion through the hotel. Both of these were great. Prices were very good and we saw 50+ mantas and a whale shark! The snokelling points and sandbank were also beautiful. There are free bottles of water in the fridge plus tea and coffee all day. Breakfast was tasty with a wide selection. If you are doing excursions or have early flight/boat they were happy to provide breakfast earlier. There is a roof terrace to dry clothes and a washing machine for use, if required. The owners and all the staff were kind and helpful. We would definitely stay again if visiting Dharavandhoo.

I had an amazing stay at this property. The place is very spacious, beautifully designed, and fully equipped, yet still offers a high level of privacy and peace. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the breakfasts were absolutely delicious – thoughtfully prepared to suit my vegetarian diet. Both the owner and the person taking care of the property were incredibly kind, helpful, and attentive. Their warm and welcoming attitude truly made me feel at home. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for comfort, privacy, and outstanding hospitality.

Estoy super contenta con este alojamiento. Nos organizaron el traslado con el speedboat, nos recibieron con mucha amabilidad y nos llevaron las mochilas a la habitación. Nos ofrecieron un zumo de bienvenida muy bueno. Una vez allí, nos recibió Bassam y nos dio toda la información de la isla y excursiones. Muy buena persona y nos ayudó en todo lo que necesitabamos y podiamos contactar con el por Whatsapp muy rápido. La habitación está muy limpia y es muy espaciosa, cama muy cómoda. El desayuno muy variado y buenísimo. Nos llevaron a Hanifaru Bay y tuvimos la suerte de ver 3 tiburones ballena y muchísimas mantas raya, además hicimos la excursión solos. Al dia siguiente nos organizaron otra excursión también solos con un pack que ofrecen de 2 snorkeling points + sand bank con Basshar y Husen, muy agradecidos con ellos y pudimos ver tiburones de arrecife, tortugas y un coral precioso. Nos hicieron fotos y videos con su gopro. En conclusión, estoy muy agradecida con el trato y el servicio, volvería sin dudarlo.

Tout était parfait ! Nous avons pris la demi pension, le dîner était différent tous les soirs, excellent et cuisiné à la perfection. La chambre était très propre, confortable, le personnel très attentionné et l’hôtel a 5 min à pieds de tout !! Le petit déjeuner buffet changeait tous les matins et était excellent.

Everything! We got a nice welcome coconut drink on their outdoor terrace. The owner Ahmed and the whole staff are amazing, they always went out of the way to make our stay perfect, they organized our trips with their boat, they made sure we were the first to come to the spot where the mantas and the whale sharks were and also to the sand bank. We could rent a Gopro and got the videos. We could use the washing machine for free as much as we needed and dry the laundry on their roof terrace. Breakfast was delicious and plenty, also different almost every day, a great combination of Maldivian and western foods, including peanut butter and chocolate spread! They offer complimentary tea and cofee 24 hours, and you can take water bottles from the fridge any time. The room and the ensuite bathroom are spacious and spotlessly clean, it's cleaned every day. The place is small and feels homely. We felt treated like family. If we could, we would rate the guesthouse 15 out of 10! We recommend the place 100% ! Thank you for your amazing work!

Les horaires du petit déjeuner: parfait pour une activité le matin mais trop tôt pour une journée de détente à la plage. L'eau de la douche n'était pas très chaude.

Das gemütliche, herzliche Hanifaru war mein zweites Zuhause. Das kleine Hotel liegt zentral und verfügt über alles, was man als Gast benötigt. Die Zimmer sind groß und sauber. Ich habe im Hotel sehr lecker im kleinen Garten zu Abend gegessen. Der Koch schaute immer persönlich vorbei und sorgte auch für das gute Frühstück. Es gibt kostenfreies Wasser, Tee und Kaffee und die Waschmaschine stand mir auch zur Verfügung. Ich wurde vom Flughafen abgeholt und hingebracht. Die privaten Liegestühle stehen am schönsten Strandabschnitt der Insel. Das Haus von Ahmed und seiner Familie legt viel Wert darauf, dass man sich als Gast wohlfühlt und alles hat, was man benötigt. Mein besonderes Dankeschön gilt Ahmol, der sich ganz herzlich um mich gekümmert hat, sei es beim Essen oder bei einer Willkommenstour über die Insel. Er ist ein freundlicher, führsorglicher Gastgeber und war stets bereit zu helfen oder etwas Gutes zu tun. Ich kann das schöne Hanifaru und seine lieben Menschen nur empfehlen.

Beautiful and peaceful spot which is very well cared for place by the family who runs it. My baggage didn't arrive with me and they were exceptionally helpful in getting it sorted for me, by calling the airline and tracking it down. They were always very responsive and helpful. I arrived on my birthday and they prepared a couple of little birthday treats for me which was much appreciated. The meals are served in the lush garden. Everything is prepared with great care and the wait staff are gentle and welcoming. Overall it was a little slice of the luxury Maldives experience, without the high ticket prices of the Maldives.

My room description included a balcony, which I'd been looking forward to using. However, my room was on the main floor, so I had no balcony. The balconies of the property opposite had an excellent view into my room, which meant keeping the curtains closed the whole time. Overall a couple of minor inconveniences which did not blemish the excellent experience I had there.

Ahmed, the owner, was the perfect host, providing a very warm welcome and always on hand to answer questions. The other staff were also excellent. The bedroom was lovely, the bed was comfy and the buffet breakfasts were great..

The staff were all super friendly and very helpful with anything we needed. They were so kind taking us out on their boat to see the mantas and trying to see the whale sharks. The breakfast was also delicious. They let us borrow snorkelling equipment for swimming off the beach. They also helped us arrange the speedboats and met us from the jetty and gave us a tour of the island which was lovely.

We had a wonderful days on the island thanks to Ahmed and his team. Ahmed met us at the airport, shared information about the island and showed us where everything was. The room was large, everything was clean. The breakfasts were excellent. Ahmed organised several tours for us at very nice prices. Everything was incredible. We swam with mantas, sharks, rays and even went night snorkelling with a whale shark. We recommend staying at this guest house, you will be very satisfied. We will definitely come back!

The staff were friendly and helpful.The food for breakfast was a mixture of local Madivian food and western food- all very delicious and well presented.I especially liked the Maldivian Tuna salad. Ahmed the owner, went over and above his duty of just running the accommodation .He personally took on the responsibilty of taking his guests out in his boat to find mantas.

They changed towels and sheets every other day that was a nice treat. Staff nice. Owner very helpful and kind

Great place. Very well run guest house. Professional and friendly. Best food. We did full board and loved all the variety of food we were served. The staff takes pride in their work and they are happy to do it. What a bargain this place is. The tours are super reasonably priced so we went to see the Manta Rays in Hanifaru bay, went on sunset dolphin cruise, and went night fishing. We experienced the mantas in their feeding time and it was incredible. We saw countless dolphins and they would come right up to our boat. And we caught lots of fish.

Exceptionally friendly, caring staff. We took into account all the wishes and even more. They found us on the beach to warn us about the postponement of the flight to an earlier time. Clean cozy hotel, good food, 5 min walk to the beach.

very nice stay. The owner is very nice, honest and helpful in everything. The chef is very good and the food is very tasty. Everyone is very nice and it is very pleasant to stay there. The trip to Hanifaru bay was totaly highlight.

I could receive the box of sandwiches and banana for breakfast before diving early in the morning. I could save my lunch everyday. Also I could use hot shower and they provide beach towel and normal use. Air conditioning worked well perfect 24h.

It takes 10min to the restaurant area but I think the cheapest accommodation in this island. It was well cleaning and perfect.

Ahmed the host was friendly, patient and professional. He provides snorkeling activities but not pushy at all. we are well taken care of and we are satisfied with the dinner as delicious local foods were served.

Our stay was amazing from the beginning till the end. Guesthouse vibe with hotel level service, loved it. Our hosts did their best to help us with everything, really flexible, kind and helpful. The bed is huge and confortable, room had lots of space and was really clean, amazing breakfast! Would love to stay here again, the value for money is best we’ve seen so far.

Great place to stay. Local flights were arranged for me from/to Male and I was met at the airport by a taxi. The Inn is less than 10 minute's drive from the airport and less than 10 minute's walk to the beach. Its set in a quiet area. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable. There was loads of amazing food (half board was great value for money). The team were really friendly and helpful. I was able to see manta rays in Hanifaru Bay which was amazing. Mr Ahmed called when he'd heard there were 15 of them in the bay so I could return from the beach to see them, rather than visiting on days when there were only 3. Highly recommended.

My stay at the hotel was incredible, the owner and all staff are very helpful with helping book domestic flights and picking you up at the airport. All food was brilliant and tasty, huge portions and they're attentive to food allergies which is re-assuring. The trips to see Manta Ray and other reefs were great, surrounding marine life and the closeby beach were lovely. All trips booked at ease with the hotel and you go out on their boat! Internet worked well and was able to work when needed.

We have been to the Maldives for the first time. We have been eyeing manta rays for a long time and finally we stayed at Dharavandho Island for 12 nights. The Gasthouse Hanifaru Transit Inn is not big, but has everything you need. The room ist modern and comfortably furnished, very clean, quality mattresses, excellent pillows, snow-white linen and towels. The food is not very varied, but always fresh, always fruit and dessert, barbecue once a week. A pleasant surprise awaited us on our birthday - delicious fish, a cake and congratulations from the whole family. All agreements with the Gasthouse Owner Mr. Ahmed were carried out very cordially, punctually, always in a good mood. Bikini beach is 5 min. leisurely walk. On the beach there are sun loungers, you can put in the shade under the trees. Every day in the morning (before lunch) a large flock of dolphins swims very close several times (they play very beautifully and jump out of the water). Great trips to turtle reef, sunset with dolphins, swam with manta rays and whale sharks twice. There are a lot of positive impressions. We can fully recommend the island and the guest house.

the inn was excellent. large airy room, exceptionally clean and new bedding and towels every x2 days. Fantastic staff and wonderful food. cannot rate highly enough.

Everything was just perfect. Ahmed the host was amazing. Everything was very well organized. we even got picked up at the peer by a taxi. We were asked everyday at what time we would like breakfast and dinner to be served and the food was very delicious!!! The whole family and staff were more than friendly, always smiling and very kind. I would definitely come back anytime. Thanks again for the unforgettable stay!!!!
