The best part of the Dar was the staff. Hanen/Hanin was very helpful with me and answered all my questions promptly visa WhatsApp, and everyone else from the staff at the dinner to the housekeeping staff were very friendly and gave me everything I needed. I was so impressed by how promptly they attended to my request and how kind they were in explaining the property. The rooms and hotel were decorated exquisitely, extremely stylish and very pleasant to stay in. It gave off amazing Tunisian charms. The location of the Dar was great as it was right by one of the doors leading out of the Medina, so it was very easy to leave the area if you choose to. The facilities were great and the dinner at the Dar's restaurant was splendid.

Très/trop cher pour le niveau de confort. Nous avions séjourné à Dar Evelyne à Mahdia la veille pour 2 fois moins cher et pour une prestation quasi équivalente. La chambre n’a de suite que le nom. C’est exigu, on ne peut quasiment pas ouvrir sa valise, la « garde robe » annoncée est minuscule et ne permet de suspendre que des vêtements courts. La salle de bain est exiguë et la robinetterie mériterait d’être remplacée. Les sols et sanitaires sont propres mais le tissu de la banquette et du fauteuil est taché et à pris une teinte grisâtre peu engageante. Les peintures des murs sont tachés par endroits. L’”espace piscine” est au mieux un jacuzzi. Nous sommes arrivés un lundi, jour de congé du personnel du restaurant. Aucune boisson offerte à l’arrivée et nous n’avons pas trouvé d’eau dans la chambre. Nous n’avons pu avoir une bouteille d’eau que tard dans la soirée et nous avons dû la payer. Enfin, c’est la première fois qu’on nous donne une heure limite pour arriver, à savoir au plus tard à 16 h…….

Wir (2 Paare) haben uns im Dar Antonia sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Service im Zimmer und beim Frühstück war tadellos. Es gab ein leckeres tunesisches Frühstück mit täglich wechselnden Backwaren, Ei und Früchten. Als sich jemand aus unserer Gruppe nicht wohl gefühlt hat, haben sich die Damen mit Kräutertee aufmerksam gekümmert. Vielen Dank dafür! Das Haus ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und verfügt über zwei Dachterrassen. Das Restaurant im Haus mit tunesisch-französischer Küche ist absolut zu empfehlen und bietet ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Die Zimmer im Nebengebäude sind teilweise sehr klein und bieten kaum Platz, um zwei Erwachsene und das Gepäck unterzubringen. Das Zimmer mit der Treppe zu einer Art Mezzanine würden wir nicht mehr buchen.

O staff era mesmo muito prestável e simpático. Mesmo após um pequeno percalço alheio à sua vontade, com o nosso quarto, foram extremamente rápidos a resolver a situação. O ambiente em geral do alojamento é muito relaxante e acolhedor. O espaço interior e exterior correspondem às fotografias. O rooftop é uma zona muito boa para descontrair e até refrescar na pequena piscina. Os quartos eram limpos e muito acolhedores. O pequeno almoço é servido à mesa e é tradicional, mas de grande qualidade.

A localização é excelente para visitar a medina, porém longe das praias.

J’ai aimé le personnel au p’tit soin surtout Rahma et sa collègue qui ont tout fait pour que je me sente bien. La déco était parfaite

Il faisait très chaud et il n’y avait pas de climatisation dans les parties communes. Le petit-déj’ n’était pas assez varié, mais ce qui était proposé était quand même bon mais j’ai mangé la même chose toute la semaine. Ma chambre était en longueur et très petite une fois les valises installées par terre , je n’avais plus de place pour bouger, Dans ma chambre, pas de porte pour les toilettes, pas de porte pour la douche, ça doit être très sympa pour un couple mais quand on est avec son ado de 15 ans c’est compliqué. Il a fallu que j’aille dans les parties communes pendant qu’il prenait sa douche. Et bien sûr pas de clim. Je n’ai pas pu profiter du restaurant sur la terrasse quand on est arrivé, le serveur nous a presque dit oui? . Que voulez-vous ? comme si on dérangeait. Et biensur le prix trop cher pour le type de prestation.

Acceuil mais surtout un super service, toujours inquiet de notre bien être, un grand merci au personnel Rahma et les autres... je recommande fortement.!!

The location and the ckeaness. The staff of breakfast was very good.

They dont have swiming pool to enter. It is in the restaurant therefore it can not be used. The description of the room was not true. They don't accept the resposanbility. They said that the problem was in booking.

No late checkout is accepted staff was little bit straightforward. Toilets in the room should have Bern better separated from the room as privacy needed.

We stayed at three places in Tunisia and this was by far the best! Beautiful spaces and decoration. The staff was hospitable and kind. Thank you!

We felt very comfortable at the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Everything was clean. We didn’t have a room in the main building, so we had to walk to another building for breakfast and to get to the rooftop pool, but that building was only about 5 meters away. On the other hand, our room was quiet, and nothing disturbed us. The rooftop pool was really nice and warm. We also had dinner at the hotel, which was excellent.

The prices for dinner and also for drinks were higher. The internet connection in the room was very weak. There was no door on the bathroom.

Bravo lieu exceptionnel dans la Medina de Sousse. Tout etait au top et un grand merci tout particulier à Rahma et toute l équipe qui s est occupé de nous comme des rois on ne peut pas mieux esperer. BarakAllahOufikom!

C’è un bel ristorante tranquillo e romantico sul rooftop, ma non offre piatti tipici. (Quindi è ottimo per chi vuole mangiare italiano)

Super séjour à Dar Antonia. Excellent petit déjeuner typique avec œuf, viennoiseries, beurre maison, confiture de figue, pain tunisien, melon frais, pâte de sésame, citronnade et café. Chambre très propre, ménage quotidien et climatisation efficace. Nous avons dîné un soir au restaurant du rooftop, dans un cadre très agréable, c'était absolument délicieux, même si les prix nous ont semblé un peu élevés malgré la qualité. Le personnel fut aux petits soins durant tout le séjour. Mention très spéciale pour Rahma, d'une gentillesse incroyable, toujours souriante et attentionnée. Merci également à l'adorable serveur polyglotte, très chaleureux et sympathique, dont nous n'avons malheureusement pas le prénom. Mille mercis.

Restau un peu cher malgré l’excellente cuisine

The staff; the lady on reservations and the maitre d at breakfast were charming and very helpful. Dar Antonia is two historic medina houses joined by internal stairs. The architecture and colour palette were beautiful and the location is convenient for the medina and Susse landmarks.

We arrived for our 3 night stay in 2 rooms in 40°to find our rooms did not have a shower, only a huge sunken bath. Not very refreshing in the extreme heat! I asked whether we could have a room with a shower- the owner, on the phone, told me quite brusquely that the hotwl is full and it would not be possible- it was my fault as I I had booked the wrong room and should have seen that id booked a room with a bath. Fortunately, the lovely lady on reservations went to the tfouble of arranging with another guest to chanfe rooms and we got a room with a very good walk in shower for 2 of the three days. On our last evening, we had been at El Jem and Kairouan all day, we were told the pool (not a pool, but a jacuzzi, was closed and the roof terrzce as there was a party booked. A DJ arrived and set up and played loud music until 1.30, keeping us awake with the music and the loud oarty-goers. It was exhausting and felt disrespectful to guests hoping for a peaceful few nights in Sousse. I would not recommend Dar Antonia for these reasons. In great contrast Dar Said in Sidi Bou Said where we stayed the following thrree nights was faultless; there was a party booked in the gardens for the saturday evening . The management left letter to invite us for a complimentary dinner for 4 in the very good hotwl restaurant , and the party was over by 11pm, the jazz band kept to a very soft level , all

Deuxième fois dans cet hôtel. La chambre est propre, le personnel est professionnel et sympathique. La restauration (petit déjeuner et dîner) sont excellents.

The room was clean, the air conditioning worked well, and the bed was comfortable. The lady who greeted us was very helpful.

Breakfast wasn't very good. It was very noisy because the restaurant is on the rooftop. This noise continued until 2:30 AM, and guests were shouting in front of our room as they left the restaurant, so we couldn't sleep. They told us we would have a great experience at the restaurant, but despite the very high prices, the meat we ordered arrived cold, and we didn't like the service at all. Definitely don't go to this restaurant and don't waste your money.

We had a room in the ground floor that looked out to the courtyard. The room was beautifully styled and clean. A special mention to Rahma who looked after us and served lovely breakfasts.

The wifi in our room was very weak. However the lady in charge was very helpful by calling the technician and telling us where the signal was strongest. She offered us another room but we were happy to stay in our original.

I cannot express how beautiful this “house” is. It is completely renovated and the decor is outstanding. Our room was gorgeous. We lived the breakfast and especially the staff which was exceedingly attentive. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. I wish I remembered all their names, but I can only remember Aliah (sp?) who served breakfast with a radiant smile. Do not miss staying here.

I loved everything. I only wish we had not stayed on a Monday because their restaurant was closed and I feel we might have missed on a fabulous meal.

Beautiful decor throughout the property and the ladies who work there are so kind and helpful. Amazing breakfast with homemade items, and a gorgeous rooftop! Felt very safe and cozy, and appreciated the lovely amenities like the neroli shower products and welcome cookies.

Sitio maravilloso recomendable al 100% para tu estancia en Sousse, todo el personal es muy amable y muy atento, en especial Rahma que se ha encargado de que estuviésemos cómodos en todo momento. Las habitaciones muy bonitas y limpias. Con una zona de terraza con piscina perfecta para desconectar. Volvería seguro.

Très belle chambre d'hôte, confortable, propre et avec un personnel accueillant. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Le restaurant est agréable, mais les portions sont plutôt adaptées à de petits mangeurs. Si vous avez bon appétit, il faut le savoir..

En revanche, un point important concernant les allergies alimentaires : j'avais signalé lors de la réservation que j'étais allergique au gluten et on m'avait confirmé que l'information était notée. Malgré cela, on m'a servi un plat contenant du boulghour (blé), que j'ai commencé à manger avant de m'en rendre compte. L'équipe a immédiatement reconnu son erreur, remplacé le plat et nous a offert un verre de vin, ce que j'ai apprécié. J'espère simplement qu'ils renforceront la transmission des informations sur les allergies, car cela peut avoir des conséquences importantes

L’emplacement est super, en plein milieu de la médina ! Ce qui peut être un avantage comme un inconvénient car nous sommes en plein centre mais il faut marcher jusqu’à l’hôtel car il n’est pas accessible en voiture (sous la chaleur tunisienne cela fait transpirer) et la nuit que nous avons passée a été chamboulé par une fête voisine qui a fini par cessée vers minuit.

L’accessibilité et le bruit car c’est le charme de l’ancien rénové donc mal isolé et on entend les bruits de dehors.

Beautifully modernised traditional homes whilst maintaining the original vibe in the Medina. Very comfortable room and elegant facilities. Fabulously warm, attentive and caring staff. The two lovely ladies who run things are a delight.

Les différents bâtiments sont décorés avec beaucoup de goût, c est aéré. On a eu la chance d être seul don encore plus de tranquillité. Merci pour tout le personnel sympathique et à l écoute

La place de parking gratuite n est pas claire.on a opté pour payer pour que notre voiture soit surveillé mais le prix est correct

Welcoming staff - Mrs Ramah and Mrs Nahia - very eager to help and respond to our questions, truly helpful. The dar is easy to find, it’s well located near the markets (souk) and cafe/ restaurants. The decoration is wonderful, the most beautiful dar we’ve seen during our trip. Breakfast was delicious, many local flavours!

Since we are inside the Medina, it can be a little loud at night, as we found with other Dars. We would come back anyway.

Dar Antonia is one of the most pleasant maison d’hotes we have ever experienced. The staff is extremely kind, polite and truly make you feel like you’re home. Do not look further: this is where you want to stay when you visit Sousse, and want to stay away from the all-inclusive resorts! If I could give 100 stars, I would do this. Until the future. All the best from the Netherlands.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le logement et le faites que ce soit traditionnel, le personnel très accueillant, chaleureux, au top ! Un grand merci au cuisinière très attentionné et chaleureuse.

Nous avons moins aimé le faites que le restaurant ne propose pas de repas traditionnel. La chambre manquait de luminosité car étant au rez de chaussée nous avons fermé les volets. Et l’isolation laisse à désiré nous entendions tout ce qu’il se passer dans les rues.

Le personnel est particulièrement aimable et attentif. La décoration très soignée et le restaurant de l’hôtel très bon (petit déjeuner et dîner). Nous recommandons fortement cet hôtel.

As a single traveler my room was a little pokey, but comfortable enough.

The host was so nice. He recommended us nice places ro eat. The location of the hotel was great and we could just walk to the medina and felt so safe.

Un accueil exceptionnel dès l’arrivée, tout de suite on se sent très bien. Très beau, lumineux, coloré, plein de charme. La salle à manger est chaleureuse, le personnel avenant et souriant. La nourriture très bonne (mais un peu chère). Trop tôt pour profiter de la terrasse, mais on a bien hâte de revenir pour profiter du « roof top ».

A wonderful member of staff in NABIHA, the house person at dar Antonia, our rooms were kept beautifully clean, and the delicious breakfast, she makes, she made us feel so at home, all our request met, and her knowledge of SOUSSE, helped us to have a great holiday, thankyou NABIHA, Ramha, ALIA, xxx

What fantastic staff, in Nabiha, Rhama and Alia, they made our stay memorable and very happy, seeing to our every need and request, keeping our rooms beautifully clean, and making a lovely breakfast every morning, even looking after me when I was sick, and full of advice on were to go and what to see, a gem of a hotel, and wonderful staff,!!!!, so impressed shall be booking for next year.

Calme, propre, bien situé et personnel attentionné. 1ere nuit depuis 5j en Tunisie où j’ai dormi sans masque sur les yeux et sans boules quies et j’ai très bien dormi sans aucun Bruit ! Petit déjeuner de qualité (peut être plus de choix de protéines car très très sucré et carbs friendly ;)

Pas d’accès à une cuisine d’appoint Le prix je trouve est un peu élevé pour la qualité vendue : les chambres sont très petites Attention les douches sont ouvertes sans privacy (rideau)

While we stayed at the property they were doing renovation projects (repainting the windows bars). There was a strong smell of paint which came from all sides so doesn’t matter if we opened the doors or the window, the smell wouldn’t go away and the situation wouldn’t get better. We were out most of the daytime however so that made it bearable however on our last day, while we were having breakfast downstairs, they allowed the handymen in our room to pain our window bars. When we got back to our room the smell of paint was UNBEARABLE. We were going to check out in a couple of hours only, so could they really not wait for couple of more hours? I understand it is low season and they do these reparations during such times however they could have at least used some common sense and do this during day time while people are out and about visiting. Very disappointing for such a high scale place.

Beautifully designed guesthouse, great food, in a perfect location just inside the medina. Beautiful bathroom and bathtub. Best meals we had in Tunisia.

Everything was excellent, nothing we didn’t like, the only small point is the picnic breakfast we requested for our early trip to the airport was basic.

Dar Antonia is een zalig kleinschalig verblijf in het hart van de medina waar je je meteen thuis voelt. De kamers zijn gezellig en comfortabel en het dakterras is zalig om tussendoor wat te relaxen. Wat het helemaal af maakte, was de vriendelijkheid van het personeel (en de lieve Rahma in het bijzonder). Het eten in het restaurant is naar Tunesische normen eerder aan de dure kant maar wel kwalitatief hoogstaand. Ook de ligging is handig, op wandelafstand van alle bezienswaardigheden zoals de moskee, de ribat en het archeologisch museum en vlakbij het station Bab Jedid. Wij namen de trein vanaf de luchthaven in Monastir en stonden in een half uurtje in Sousse.

Het bed was wat aan de kleine kant en een kapstokje in de kamer om wat kledij aan te hangen zou erg handig zijn.

Les employés sont d'une extrême gentillesse. Le lieu en lui même est une magnifique maison traditionnelle et authentique. L'emplacement, quant à lui est en plein coeur de la Médina à seulement quelques pas du souk tout en restant calme. Cela permet une immersion totale. Et c'est sans parler de l'excellent petit déjeuner qui nous était servi tous les matins. Bref, je recommande et je remercie chaleureusement l'équipe de Dar Antonia !

Tout était très bien, ma seule suggestion serait de mettre des oreillers plus moelleux. Mais c'est vraiment le seul élément que je vois à améliorer pour atteindre la perfection.

From the moment we arrived Rahma was so welcoming and helpful. The owner also spoke to us and gave us lots of information about the history of the property and pragmatic information about the area which was great! The breakfast was delicious and any requests we had were catered to by all lf the staff working there, who always great you with a smile! The rooftop area was also great, allowing you to sun bathe, read or just relax. Thank you for such an enjoyable stay, and particularly to Rahma for going above and beyond and being exceptional in every way.

Everything was absolutely excellent, but the staff truly stood out: incredibly friendly, helpful, and always cheerful. The restaurant is without a doubt the best in town. The breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety of dishes to choose from.

Dans notre chambre, la salle de bain (y compris le cabinet de toilette …) sont ouverts sur le reste de la chambre. Pas catastrophique mais pas top. Cependant ce n’est pas le cas des autres chambres que nous avons vues par la suite

- the room had a separate toilet and shower, neither of which had a door on! So if you’re not in a couple just be aware of this! - could have done with a couple of extra pillows

The property is beautiful, very clean, and peaceful, with a lovely rooftop and great attention to detail. The staff were extremely kind and helpful, always making us feel welcome. The location is excellent and breakfast was fresh and delicious every morning.

Super accueil de la part de Hanen et Rahma. La maison d'hôte ainsi que la chambre sont d’une beauté !!! Le petit-déjeuner est copié et très bon. La maison d'hôte est située en plein coeur de la médina et est facile d’accès.

L’assiette de fruits offerte, les produits miniature qui sentent bon le neroli et la chambre est propre. Bon climatiseur dans la chambre. La dame qui nous sert est gentille. Le petit déjeuner est moins copieux que dans les autres maison d’hôtes, très simple mais il est bon.

Cet établissement ressemble plus a une auberge de jeunesse qu’à une maison d’hôte. C’est la 1ere fois que nous allons ds une maison d’hôte gérée entièrement par du personnel plus comme dans un hôtel et que nous ne voyons pas les propriétaires. Accueil rapide et expéditif qui n’a rien a voir avec l’accueil téléphonique en amont. Le paiement total est débité avant l’arrivée et on comprend vite pourquoi. Situé dans un quartier populaire et non secure de la Medina , stationnement loin dans une station-service. Il faut porter ses bagages seuls et marcher 5 minutes a travers la Medina, les commerçants et la foule de passants. Personne n’a aidé mon mari a monter les bagages jusqu’à la chambre alors qu’il y avait 4 employés dans le hall. Personne ne nous dit Bonjour. Pas de senteur agréable. Pas de plage a proximité, 15 minutes a pieds nous dit-on (1,6km sur Google maps). Piscine sur le toit nous dit-on mais c’est un petit bassin avec des assises pour 4 personne max de la taille d’un jacuzzi sans en être un et mal entretenu. L’eau est verte alors que la mosaïque est blanche et sent fort le chlore et il y a des insectes qui flottent. L’intérieur du hall est un four. On ne sent pas la climatisation dans les parties communes. Chambre très petite, mansardée étroite en longueur, 2,30 de largeur. La base du lit est un bloc de ciment et on se cogne les pieds dedans. Heureusement le matelas est de qualité. Pas de frigo ni de télé. Les fenêtres donnent sur le couloir et on ne peut pas les ouvrir car il n’y a pas de rideaux. Aucune vue extérieure ni de balcon. Évacuation de la douche bouchée. Chambre pas du tout insonorisée on entends tt la musique sur le toit jusqu’à minuit puis le bruit des déplacements des sièges en fer sur le toit et des casseroles et vaisselle en bas. Franchement ne vaut pas le prix ni le qualificatif d’une maison d’hôte tunisienne. Nous sommes très déçus du standing auquel nous sommes habitués pour ce prix-là

From the first hello to goodbye it was such an incredible experience and everyone was so nice and helpful with everything! They made everything you asked for possible and were always available to help and coordinate.

Super Lage, Parken bei der nahegelegenen Tankstelle hat auch gut geklappt. Restaurant sehr gut, zu empfehlen.

Wie immer in Tunesien, schwer zu finden. Ohne Google maps geht gar nichts. Unser Zimmer war im Trackt vom Restaurant, daher sehr laut während dessen Betrieb, aber nicht so tragisch.

Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal sehr gute Lage. Schöne Dachterrasse. Sehr geschmackvollen Ambiente. Wir waren über Silvester dort und haben im Restaurant ein vorzügliches 6 Gänge-Menü genossen.

Belle emplacement au cœur de Sousse dans la Médina, l’intérieur est très agréable et propre. Le petit-déjeuner me plaisait beaucoup. Surtout, un grand merci à l’équipe qui a fait tout ce qui était en son pouvoir pour rendre mon séjour agréable !
