Het hostel was super gehorig. Het is een oud familie huis en absoluut niet geschikt voor een hostel. Er is enorm veel geluid want alles is met elkaar verbonden. Maar het allerergste geluid was van dichtklappende deuren van de kamers. Dat galmde keihard door het huis en heeft mij echt wakker gehouden en geïrriteerd. Echt niet te doen. Verder hoor je ook alle andere geluiden en voornamelijk de keuken.

Close to the sea, centre and transport. Ok dining area. Nice to have your own terrace, but there is a catch (see below).

Noisy place, thin walls. Impossible to sleep without ear plugs. The room with terrace is small, stale and has no windows. Only a door to the terrace which iis connected to shared area. It has to be opened all the time to keep you breathing, but other visitors happen to walk into your terrace sometimes. Also privacy concern. The place could be managed better: we stayed for a week and the soap and paper napkins were not re-filled when ended in the shared areas at least for days. Most kitchen utensils need an update. Pans are old and scratched. Sauce pans smell bad when you boil water in them. And there is no kettle. There are no kitchen towels. The bathroom needs some cleaning. Mold on walls and even bath curtain. Price is to high for the space and quality of the living. About 86 euros per night in August. We found later 4 star hotel nearby for the same price..

Leider bräuchte diese Unterkunft dringend eine Renovierung. Es ist schon alles etwas runtergekommen und daher ist der Preis absolut nicht gerechtfertigt

La ubicación

No tiene mesillas, no tiene lámparas de mesa , solo había una cama y un armario empotrado sin puertas. No se puede leer no hay luces individuales Muy caro para tener baño compartido. La terraza no cerraba por dentro, puede entrar cualquiera en la habitación desde fuera, se comunicaba con la cocina por unas escaleras.

The location was great and central

The room looks nice and has an good size. Towels are included.

After the electronic/ online check-in it isn't really clear how you get into your room and the facilities and if you could leave your things somewhere in case you arrive early. There is no one to show and explain you the facilities. The breakfast was at another WOT facility which I just find out in the morning when finally a real person and not the chat bot answered my question abou the breakfast in WhatsApp.

Very comfortable rooms. Great water pressure and hot water. Excellent location. Great communication from staff

The kitchen facilities were old and you need a coffee percolator and a toaster. I like to cook so I found the kitchen could be better equipped.

As camas eram bastante confortáveis e o quarto era muito bonito. Todo o alojamento local era muito bonito e de fácil acesso. De certeza que iremos voltar, visto que tem uma ótima relação qualidade preço.

O quarto era um pouco frio, visto que não apresentava aquecedor, por isso talvez era uma boa opção colocar umas mantas nas épocas mais frias. Outra coisa é que o quarto tinha alguma iluminação mas não era muito forte, o que por vezes era insuficiente.

Just wish there had been a tv in the room but there was a communal tv downstairs!

Die Betreuung bei der Ankunft durch den Nachtportier Asif. Sehr höflich und zuvorkommend!

Bij aankomst geen toiletpapier, heb ik zelf om moeten vragen. Miste een paar knoppen/haken op de badkamer om even je handdoek/badjas op te hangen.

Do meu quarto não ter casa de banho, mas porque não reparei que tinha feito a reserva assim. E já não havia disponibilidade de quartos com casa de banho.

el apartamento para 4 personas es maravilloso, tiene balcón, además hay una azotea comunitaria con vistas bonitas, nos hicieron las camas por la mañana

el check in no se hace en el mismo sitio que el alojamiento (no es un gran problema porque está cerca, puedes ir andando) aún avisando a la hora a la que llegábamos nos hicieron esperar 40 minutos porque la habitación no estaba lista, cuando por fin pudimos ir a la habitación la llave no funcionaba, tuvimos que esperar a que viniesen a abrirnos, por suerte si tienes algún problema contestan con rapidez a los mensajes

The room was nice and simple

The reception and breakfast are in a different location, so you have to walk across town to check in, then walk back to find your room, then walk back again to get breakfast.

Mobília um bocado antiga e na zona exterior tinha até mobília partida

Localização muito central, funcionária do check in muito amável, a varanda e páteo à porta, as camas confortáveis, o mini frigorífico no quarto, a cozinha com tudo para podermos cozinhar e a sala comum muito agradável.

A falta de iluminação nas escadas de acesso ao quarto e algumas lâmpadas fundidas no quarto.

Fine for the night we stayed. No soap in any of the dispensers

die lage hat uns gefallen. ebenso die kleine dachterrasse. dank der netten praktikantin ela am empfang konnte das schlüsselproblem (öffnete die türen nicht), nach etwas verzögertem rückruf, telefonisch gelöst werden. blickdichte vorhänge und fensterläden haben straßengeräusche und licht ausreichend gefiltert.

bilder bei booking.com entsprachen nicht der realität. die hauptadresse (rezeption) machte einen besseren eindruck. von dort stammten evtl. auch die fotos. diese haben mit der lodge aber nichts zu tun ! mindestens erwartbar im zimmer wären eine ablage oder schreibtisch mit stuhl. wir hatten keine wahl, außer unsere kleidung im koffer auf dem boden zu lassen. verletzungsgefahr auf terrasse durch herausschauende schrauben, meine tochter zog sich eine blutige schramme zu, die im weiteren urlaubsverlauf weiter behandelt werden musste!!! kein aufzug. eine klimaanlage hätte das schlafen erleichtert. wären wir länger als 3 nächte geblieben, hätte ich reklamiert und ein anderes zimmer verlangt!

Nous sommes arrivés au lodge, là il y a un mot sur la porte qui nous indique que l’on doit traverser la ville pour aller chercher les clés, donc nous avons dû nous séparer, il y en a qui sont restés avec les valises… été soir quand nous sommes rentrés nos bips ne fonctionnaient plus pour rentrer dans l’établissement. J’ai essayé de contacter la personne de l’hôtel, qui m’avait donné un numéro à appeler en cas de problème… mais elle ne m’a pas répondu… donc nous avons dû réveiller mes parents qui dormaient… mais heureusement que nous étions plusieurs, sinon je ne sais pas comment nous aurions fait pour rentrer dans le lodge… nous aurions dû re traverser la ville pour aller à l’hôtel… mais sur les 4 bips sur nous avions ( pour 4 chambres) seulement 1 fonctionnait le soir en rentrant du restaurant… tout ça sans compter que nous avons payé environs 140€ la nuit alors que pour moi ça ne veut pas plus de 60€ la nuit par chambre…

The location of the property was perfect. The view from the property room was outstanding. The room however lacked basic facilities and could have done with more furnishings for more convenience

Could be a bit cleaner, but that is what you get from a hostel, the cleanliness of the kitchen and bathroom depends mostly on the guests rather than the hostel

Central location

Overpriced hostel. No soap in the bathroom, only one key for three people to share. Old and tired hand and bath towels. Not particularly clean room. Not what I expected considering the price.

The location was amazing sith a nice terrace to enjoy the sun.

The facilities were outdated and could some new appliances.

The interior design is very beautiful, the house is charming

I am not the target group for this accomodation: I need peace, quiet, sleep. The room was towards a busy street, the house itself poorly soundproofed and you can hear every noise in the next room or when someone opens a door in the house, the matress was hard. Also, there was no Wifi. I was lucky: After one night I was able to change to the hotel. I was able to sleep there and had working Wifi. Happy end.

Location

Place wasnt like in photos what is on Booking. Its absolutly different and price is to expensive for room laike that. There even no kettle to get hot water and oven is not working. The pictures showed that there was a beautiful seating area on the balcony , but in reality its looks terrible and not like in pictures. And every noise its possible hear over walls. Thats why think twice if you reserve that place. 85 € is to much for room for one person, for such a place at most 35€ and no more

It was very cool inside and the linen was fresh and clean. Super comfy pillows.

Excelent value for money! Amazing little guest house with a cozy vibe and right on the center of ericeira. Walking distance from the beach and all the bars and restaurants around! Awesome experience. Easy to check in and friendly staff that clarifies everything and gives you tips to enjoy the night life and surf spots all around. Found some secret jams and locals are also really friendly. I Will get back soon.

This place is a scam. They sold us a twin room (double room with 2 separate beds) which they don’t even have a room like this but they have the photos and the option on Booking.com

BEDBUGS! This place is filled with bedbugs. There is no hygiene. There has been blood stains all over the cushion of the chair. They claim to clean the bathrooms 2 times a day, during the unfortunate 48 hrs we have spent, no one has ever cleaned anything. I know this because we kept track of certain p*bic hairs present all around. The reception is also 8 mins walk way and they always say they couldn’t reach the manager as a reason.

The location was fantastic as it’s right near the main square and the sea. The staff were helpful in upgrading us when we had issues with noise.

The hostel is very noisy and we didn’t get much sleep. Late at night and early in the morning, loud noises can be heard. We also had issues with our fob key getting into the main door and the room itself, having to ring reception in the hotel multiple times to sort this issue. The fob keys would randomly stop working and it was a bit of an inconvenience. Although the rooms are bright and the decor is nice, the rooms are a tad dirty, with hairs and stains on the pillows.

Very cute decor, comfortable stay and decent facilities. Staff were friendly.

Had to check in at a different location, difficult to find the entrance to the lodge with 3 different doors, room was on 3rd floor which I usually don’t mind but this felt like a maze. Common areas pretty dark.

A bit dirty. The room was a bit not 100% renovated, but comfortable in the end.

Centrally located

The apartment was too small for a family of four. The shower drain was blocked as well as the outside stairwell, which caused flooding. Lack of important details.like bathmats and space to keep toiletries.

Place was great, very nice facilities and style!

I booked a room with a double bed but was given one with two singles. No option for changing as the place was fully booked. Apparently this is booking.coms fault not WOT Ericeira Lodge though.

This hotel is basically a hostel and was just ok. The room we booked was on the third level and there was no air conditioning and it was very very hot. It was a short walk to our "guest house" along cobble stone streets but finding the check in counter at another location was difficult for our driver. Room was very bare bones but ok in cleanliness. When moving the side tables to find an outlet to plug in the lights there were some bugs but the windows needed to be open because it was so hot. I think the price was a bit high for what we got but it was one of the last places available and it was a very busy time in the little beach town so it is understandable.

Great location good price.

There are a lot of narrow stairs so may not be suitable for older guests or those with mobility issues. There was no air conditioning in my room unfortunately.

The lodge is right in the centre of Ericeira, everything is within easy walking distance. The rooms are lovingly furnished. The staff are super helpful and always there when you need someone.

The door to the apartment did not lock even after changing the key. The water barely drained and the water was cold.

Peee-yoo !!! Great location very walkable but very stinky inside. No AC as advertised cools off at night with windows open. Smells of damp and mildew.

The staff was nice and helpful and the rooms were and shared bathrooms were tidy and clean.

The kitchen was almost every day a complete mess and pretty dirty. The common areas are pretty rundown and neglected. There is not really an outdoor area where you can sit and hang out.

The location is great, the staff is super helpful, especially Felipe the housekeeper in the Lodge.

The check inn is in other location, 5min walk away.

The location was amazing, central to all the great places in Ericeira.

Someone kept stealing food in the communal fridge. There was no cleaning service for my room offered. The wi-fi wasn't always consistent, and in my room on the 2nd floor I'd have to sometimes fall back on using my data. The person who works there also lives/spends a lot of time on-site which makes it very awkward. Toaster is broken, no dish washer tablets, and not enough utensils.

Close to the center, with easy access. Comfortable bed.

Check in was complicated and took a while, due to the code on the door that was not working. Rooms are not sound proof.
