The location to the cabot trail was good

The room as old bed and was not super clean

Booked based on comments, and this was beyond dated as most people wrote. Would have accepted if it was dated, but it’s more patched up which makes it look unclean, even though it is not. Advertised that there was coffee, nope, coffee machine broke over a week and never replaced, not on.

East access but noisy on a busy highway.

Lots of construction debris and broken furniture in the fire pits outside. No microwave or coffee maker in room.

Limited facilities, no kettle or microwave in some rooms. Buildings were tired externally, possibly in the process of refurbishment so may improve soon! WiFi was a bit hit and miss.

The location was very convenient for the ferry to NFLD.

There was no breakfast or food service at all. I had to pay extra at check for having a Dog, even though I had already paid extra for the pet friendly room. The room was excessively air conditioned, it was 60 degrees F in the room when we opened the door.

Disappointed no breakfast as per offered on site, also no coffee makers in rooms, this is a must 🤔or none @ main office

They were under renovation but they were very friendly and honest about the renovations and challenges and the price reflected those things

The location of motel / Inn, was fairly close to the Cabot Trail Scenic entrance drive and there was some restaurant about 20 to 40 minutes away.

I did not like they did not have regular satellite program, Television from, either Bell , Roger, etc to watch movies or sports. Also, did like that , they did not have a microwave in the room or a set of dark curtains in the bathroom , there was no curtains in the Bathroom windows at all and they need a rubber no- slip mat in their showers. There needs to be a extra step platform stair, to the main porch, balcony, so a person would not fall stepping up or down from the deck.

It did have a decent bed, air-conditioning, refrigerator and tv. Manager was very nice.

Very dated. Attempted to appear upgraded but poorly done. No coffee maker nor coffee offered in the lobby. Bathroom very dated. Odd shower valve. Water smelled strongly of rotten eggs so assume it's on a well. Might be ok for a quick one nighter if you're passing thru but not for extended stays.

The price is acceptable. On one evening, there was no hot water. The owner had the issue fixed in 15 minutes.

There were crumbs in the bed, and all the towels were stained. The floor was sticky. Bath curtain was gross.

The location was great! It was on budget,was even able to book an extra night with no issue. Beds were comfy and clean. This is a budget motel, so therefore if you are expecting the best do not stay here. If you are looking for budget, this is the place! The employees are always around working. The man at the desk was helpful, and when he did see me is asked if everything was ok.

The only thing I did not like was the toilet was clean, but the faucets although older and watermarked should still have been polished, the mirror had spots on it but easy wipe off. The one lamp could have been dusted!

Rooms still under renovation. Fresh paint smell. Electricity poor. Bed OK. Staff really apologetic for room condition. We're still fixing up rooms.

The location was fine. I typically wouldn't have booked at this location,, but it was a last minute trip and there was no where available closer to where I was visiting.

The wi-fi was so weak that it was non-existent. This was an issue as there was no cell service in the location either. The TV didn't work. The room itself was dingy. There was so little toilet paper that we rationed.

The garbage spewed all over the lawns in the back including mattresses. Disgusting. The door did not seal had to put room towels around it. The rooms were not cleaned properly, sand, dirt, walls. I have many photos but can only upload a few

Bedding was stained. Bathroom was dirty. Used towels hanging used bar of soap left in shower. Room was not clean. We stepped out for the day came back from was not tidied up. Thought they would change out towels after we used them nope. We asked them to bring us new towels never did. Bathroom door wouldn't open and close properly. Needless to say we didn't stay for the full stay.

The Bed was good although it cost me an extra $25 a night for what they call a deluxe room.

The room was only partially made when we arrived. They started and quit before finishing. When I brought this to their attention, they offered me another "deluxe" room that was garbage. There were three bags of dog poop by the entrance that were left by the previous occupants and not removed by staff. The door had the paint peeling off and the window was filthy and steamed up. We refused it and they finished making up the original room that we were offered. Apparently the maid had not been to work in 3 days. If I hadn't already paid Booking.Com, I would have demanded my money back and left! Booking.com needs to check these place out before offering them. The pictures were deceiving.

The location was convenient.

First of, I had two dogs and they charged me twice the dog fees, which I NEVER had this happened before. We had only one towel each AND IT WAS NOT WASHED!!! DIRTY!!! The floors are dirty (keep your shoes on), the pillows are TERRIBLE. No coffee!!!! The walls are cement blocks so it feels like jail. Hot water so cold you only use hot water for your shower. Rotten wood chairs everywhere in the yard. Two buildings have been abandoned. This place is run down.

No curtains on windows. Only blinds that let in light from the sides and direct light from the big light over the Parking across from office. When raised it exposed the room to those below. Also childsize toilet like those in a daycare l worked at. Not suitable for adults. No glasses or soap.

The view was great.

The room was dirty, I requested new towels and garbage collection on day 3 and no one came to the room.

This was a bare bones, nice view, older motel with no extras. The rooms seemed clean enough for a side of the road older motel. No breakfast or coffee machine but for the price was decent.

Wasn't expecting much for the price but good hot fresh coffee at least at the office would have been nice.

We didn’t go to breakfast, but we wish we had.

The location was beautiful!

Unfortunately, it was not clean. The bathroom was mediocre. It was full of construction debris, and we were in a building that was in a shambles! I personally would not have rented it out! The toilet paper was gross. It was like it had fallen in the toilet and smeared with crap! I went to ask for another roll, and he kind of gave me attitude and asked, WHY? HE SAID There is some there for you to use! Overall, score out 5, I would give them a 1.

the location is wonderful the room was large with two beds in it that was nice.. the tv worked good internet worked good the gentleman who greeted us was very pleasant and changed the room for us when the smoke detector was going off so we did not hear the beep all night long the Motel has a gorgeous view of Kellys mountain

the Motel seems like it needs more renovations its a bit run down in spots. the bathroom when I took a shower had hair on the show walls it was NOT mine. under the heat pump in the room there was insulation showing it should have been covered with gyprock one of the chairs had stains on it just little things that could be fixed would make us come back to stay however we will not stay there again we will go up the road a bit farther next time to more updated rooms

The room was not very clean, the bedside lamps didn’t work, and there was an abandoned pool with construction debris next to the room. The whole place felt poorly maintained and in a neglected condition. Additionally, the property refuses to provide any documentation or invoice for the stay, which is unacceptable.

First thing we saw was a room full of laundry piled up in front of the window. . Was this a Reno or was it the laundry room. Dust dust and dust on all the furniture surfaces and legs and baseboards. Didn’t like being told to not take breakfast to the room.

The location was near an event we were attending.

Left-over food and garbage left in the refrigerator. Not enough towels or paper products. No coffee in room. VERY noisy pipes and shower failed during use. Skipped breakfast just to get out of the place.

No breakfast as advertised. No coffee No tea No glasses. Fridge made noise all night and could not turn on the heater (dead batteries in remote perhaps) place is a mess in the daylight. Absolute dump. Never staying there again. Should have read reviews as they were spot on.

It was nice location and good view

Staff couldn’t figure out what room give to us. Tv didn’t work, sockets didn’t work as well. Room was under renovation still but they decided to move us in. Feels like its under new management.

First they offer very dirty room. I requested another room then give me good room. But heater not working. My suggestion it need to improve to compare with above average motels.

I’m not typically a critical person. This is the first negative room I’ve ever posted.The room was dirty and the bathroom was worse. It clearly had not been cleaned. Previous guest’s soap left in the shower, soap scum/residue from bar soap on shower shelf and on sink. Toilet not clean either. Spilled something on top of the mini fridge. The room had a smell we think was bug spray. Our room had a cheap doorknob know that didn’t feel secure at all. We pushed furniture in front of the door to alert us if someone tried to come in. We had other people in our group and the two other rooms occupied by them weren’t better. One couple skipped showering because the bathtub didn’t look clean. I would not stay there again and wouldn’t recommend it to others.

Questionable electrical and holes in the wall with insulation showing. Didn’t enjoy the stay. Breakfast was unappealing.

The reviews here lead me to believe that this was a decent hotel. I spent time and money killing about a dozen flies and ladybugs in the hotel before I stayed. The tables were all dusty and clearly the areas under them are not cleaned regularly. I'm glad I didn't get bed bugs which is why I gave them 2/5

This is basic accommodation. Its an older motel that's had a few upgrades and some poorly applied cosmetics. When it comes to shelter, a bed and bathroom, it functions.

Loved the lake view. A nice clean quiet place to stay right off the ferry! Would definitely stay again!

We were very happy with the place! The location was great, and we especially loved the park right outside our room with a beautiful view. This was incredibly convenient since we were traveling with our dog. While the hotel has a noticeable vintage charm, it was well-maintained and felt cozy. A small issue came up when the mini-fridge in our room wasn't working, but we mentioned it at the front desk, and they promptly replaced it with a new one, which we appreciated. Finally, the breakfast was homemade and quite good. We definitely recommend this spot!

The bathroom sink hot water tap banged if the cold water wasn’t turned on first and then there was no hot water. The tub mat was mouldy so awful. The white towels were actually brown and stained. This was their deluxe king room. It was disgusting !

First On the website it was said pay at property my credit was charged before we got they I was going to use cash! Second The beds were like sleeping on a board! Hard very uncomfortable! The grounds of the hotel not cleaned. The blankets had human waste on it! Find it after the slept it in! No coffee machine, the value is not worth it at all! Not again!

No bath towels… breakfast was a joke! - bottled water in room because of the stench of the tap water - hard to even shower in the water, lamps on tables but didn’t work because there was no place to plug them in… had to unplug TV to plug in my cell phone … and I paid extra to have a king bed! The sheets seemed clean - very disappointing! Would NOT recommend. Lake view? There is a lake down the hill on other side of buildings, across the road, down the bank…

This was a handy man fix it room there was caulking smeared on top of the baseboards that could have been finished better and then painted the room was old and needed to be painted and large furniture was pushed to the walls the tv didn’t work ,there was hardly any hot water the white towels looked grubby the only thing nice about the room was the bed was comfortable I would not stay here again.

Gorgeous views, great location which was very near to the ferry to go to the Cabot trail, room was spacious, queen sized beds, hot breakfast, owner was very accommodating, price was of good value.

Rooms were clean Bed was brutal. Too hard and uncomfortable. I barely slept and could barely walk out of there. We left long before breakfast was offered.

We arrived at approx 3:30PM on Sep 23rd for 2 nights. After being shown to our room by someone that worked there but didn't know anything about the place whom couldn't even get TV running we were left to wait for more than 45 mins before someone else arrived at the premises to assist us. Our first room was #8..... the walls had holes in them, the air conditioner installation wasn't complete, the fridge had stains in it, the washroom taps were gross. The toilet height was not of standard height. My 81 year old mother couldn't crouch down low enough to sit on the toilet. He then offered room #17 in which we declined due to height of the toilet. We left this motel in search for another and did not stay for either night booked. I am seeking full reimbursement for both nights. Roadside motel quality

Big room with gorgeous views at a very affordable price. . The hot breakfast even how simple it was, was always a treat for travellers.

This facility appears to be in a remodel stage. The lighting was poor in the room. I slept well and it has agood breakfast. It certainly filled our need for just an overnight stay.
