Our stay with Heidi Korea was absolutely amazing! Mr Lee is the most lovely & friendly host we have ever experienced! We arrived and he straight away greeted us and showed us around. He then offered to take us to the supermarket to get food & even help us make a BBQ but we had had a long day so had an early night instead. The next day he took us to the ski rental shop and waited with us to get kitted out. The ski shop he used was also great as they offered complimentary transfer to and from the ski resort. When we returned from our day on the slopes, Mr Lee was there waiting for us to take us into town to find dinner! It was one of our birthdays so after dinner, he made us a drink in the Heidi Cafe and we sat and chatted for hours! He also gave us a lift to the bus stop on our departure day and waited with us for the bus! We miss Heidi already and really hope we can return in the near future! Thank you again Mr Lee :))

객실은 매우 깨끗하고 정돈이 잘 되어 있으며 바닥 난방이 있어 겨울에도 실내가 따뜻했습니다. 샤워 시 뜨거운 물도 충분히 나와서 매우 편안했습니다. 호스트이신 할아버지께서 정말 친절하고 따뜻하게 대해 주셨고, Heidi Village 주변의 풍경을 함께 둘러보며 식물들에 대해서도 자세히 설명해 주셨습니다. 체크아웃 후에는 비발디 스키장까지 직접 태워다 주셔서 진심으로 감사드립니다.

Top quality stay at Heidi Korea. Really appreciated the quaint location, and the hospitality from the hosts. The icing on the cake were great, insightful conversations with Mr Lee, about the Korean peninsula, food, travel, healthy lifestyle and life in general. Great recommendations about cost-effective travel to and from Seoul, ski rentals and more. Refreshing break from the usual hotels, into true, Korean family-style living. Spacious rooms, fantastic views, and especially loved the comfortable beds. Highly recommend it, if you are planning a getaway around Vivaldi Park. Thank you Mr and Mrs Lee!

The place is very well taken care of care of. We enjoyed Mr Lee’s hospitality. He is very nice to fetch us to the ski rental and to lunch and dinner places.

We had an enjoyable stay at Heidi Korea and truly enjoyed the experience. The in-house barbecue was fantastic. For the charcoal BBQ, we paid Mr Lee a small fee to prepare the charcoal, which was very convenient. He also kindly sent us to a nearby supermarket where we could buy our own BBQ ingredients. Cooking our own food over charcoal was a great experience, and the kids especially loved it. The surrounding nature is beautiful, quiet, and peaceful, making it a perfect place to relax away from the city. The owner, Mr Lee, was extremely friendly and helpful. He made a real effort to communicate with us, offered recommendations for nearby places to visit, and helped us communicate with taxi drivers. His hospitality made our stay much more comfortable and stress-free. Due to the winter season, we did not get the chance to try the vegetables that Mr Lee grows on his small farm, which would have been a lovely experience in warmer months. We visited Morning Calm and Petite France, just so-so, and the cold winter weather made it difficult to walk around for long. For skiing, Mr Lee recommended a discounted ski-rental shop, which helped us save money on equipment rentals, which we really appreciated.

I booked Heidi due to the wonderful reviews and they did not disappoint. Mr & Mrs Lee have a beautiful property and make sure guests are very well looked after. My kids have a new honorary halmoni (grandma) and harabeoji (grandpa) with my daughter especially fond of Mrs Lee. The good times started before we’d even arrived in Korea, with Mr Lee kindly arranging our Big Van transfers from Seoul and back again. We took the BBQ option on night one and had a delicious meal after Mrs Lee took us on quick trip to the supermarket. The next day Mr Lee drove us too and picked us up from Vivaldi and on the last day, helped us arrange a day out at the Rail Park and Nami Island. Mr Lee’s hand drawn map was invaluable. I highly recommend Heidi and we will be back!

The location was great, the heating was exceptional along with the presence of snow making it a very good place to stay, the owner was very friendly and would tell us about his experiences with other tourists that stayed here.

The Heidi house is located in nature and in a quiet peaceful location. The room was clean and comfortable. Our host welcomed us and even gave us a yummy Korean pizza.

Set in the lap of nature, Heidi Korea is a beautiful pension surrounded by mountains and just in walking distance runs a river where one can fish and swim. Thus, the location of the pension is really good if you are looking to stay in a scenic place. It is also very close to vivaldi Ocean World, which is around a 10-minute drive from the pension. There is also a bus service from near the pension to the ocean world. Though the location was great for us, the icing on the cake were definitely the owners, Mr. and Mrs. Lee. Both of them are so kind and treated us just like family. We were greeted in the morning of our checkin with such warm and smiling faces. Though we reached early, there was a provision to store our luggage there. As we missed our bus to Vivaldi, Mr Lee himself drove us to the place and even guided us to it. The next day, he also drew us a clear map to visit the Rail bike and Nami Island. Not only has he traveled to many countries, but he is also well read and great to have a conversation with. We almost felt like we were with family. They are one of the most kindest people I have met. Even on the last day of our visit, we were able to store our luggage in the pension and spend some time at the nearby river and even on the last day Mr. Lee really helped us. He is not only kind but can also converse in English, so it is a boon for foreigners choosing Heidi. There is a barbecue place beside the pension, where one can enjoy a hearty barbecue. There is also a beautiful viewpoint from the pension where Mr. Lee took us personally. On the whole, it was a lovely trip because of the kindness and warmth of the owners and the scenic location of the pension. It is a must visit for all foreigners who want to be treated like family miles away from their homes and enjoy the ambiance of the place.

The hosts were fantastic! As a solo traveler, they went above and beyond to make me feel at home including driving me to the ski rental place and making sure I was outfitted. The hostess brought me up some food when I got back from skiing which was great. They go above and beyond to look after their guests.

It is like a villa type and very close to vivaldi with Mr Lee always helping us to go anywhere, also introducing us to a local ski rental story that provides discounts :) Not to mention the lovely fire for bbq at new years eve. Thank you Mr and Mrs Lee...all the best!

Heidi is on top of a hill with its own amazing look out point and backed by larger mountains. There are several comfortable and spacious Danish styled units around a big central garden. Although it was Winter, the accommodation was very warm. We experienced a delicious barbecue and beautiful campfire during our short stay. Heidi is owned by Mr.& Mrs. Lee, a lovely and sincere couple who run Heidi with a lot of care and pride. We felt very welcomed and looked after. Mr. Lee answered our many queries with helpful information and suggestions and Mrs. Lee's culinary treats were always happily received :)). On the day of our arrival, Mr. Lee actually kindly picked us up from Vivaldi Ski Resort. Vivaldi is also accessible by bus 800 from the Tourist Site Bus Stop down the hill. This bus also goes to Chuncheon city and train station. It takes about half an hour both ways. You can use your travel cards from Seoul.

We should have stayed longer to enjoy the area more !

The Vivaldi ski resort apparently doesn't allow non Koreans to book and as such are obliged to look for accomodation elsewhere. Luckily Heidi was far better and way more value for money.

This is my first time to Korea with my family and my elder parents, i share with Heidi the place i planning to go in the area, and they suggested us the timing and routing. They also went for the extend to help us book the friendly and cheaper taxi to help us get around the places we went.

We stayed for 1 night at Heidi Korea and we wish we stayed longer!! We arrived a bit late and hadn’t had time for dinner yet, the owners (a beautiful married couple) were outside waiting for us and immediately asked if we had eaten yet, they kindly drove us to a supermarket so we could buy things to BBQ for dinner, they then set up the bbq area for us with coals they had been heating all day just incase we wanted to bbq! They picked vegetables from their garden for us to have and even spoiled us with some Makgoli! The accomodation itself was well kept and the beds comfortable and larger than standard hotel beds. But the host definitely make this stay worthy of its high ranking, 100% recommended to everyone and will be coming back to stay in future! 사장님 정말 감사합니다! 최고의 시간을 보냈습니다!

스위스 마이엔펠트 하이디마을에 다시 온 느낌이 들 만큼 숙소와 주변 경치가 매우 훌륭했습니다. 부부 사장님께서 친절하게 대해 주셔서 숙소에 머무는 동안 더욱 힐링이 되었습니다. 숙소에서 구입한 와인은 맛있고 시원해서 바비큐와 잘 어울렸고, 모닥불 앞에서 불멍하며 호사롭게 힐링했습니다. 사장님께서 밭에서 난 유기농 채소도 듬뿍 제공해 주셔서 고향에 온 듯한 따뜻함도 느꼈습니다. 조만간 애들 데리고 또 가겠습니다~! 감사합니다^^

이국적인 분위기가 나는 곳에서 깔끔하게 하루 잘 지냈습니다. 계곡도 차로 5분거리고.. 오션월드도 가깝고.. 좋았어용^^

Excellent location, Excellent host, Cozy and Beautiful place to stay. We wanna stay long, so it was so pity that we had to stay only one night. Very spacious place and very friendly & Good english-speaking host will make visitors, particularly foreign vistors.

Considering the large garden area, there are not many flowering/interesting garden plants, so there are pretty things including garden to be further improved to make this place more fantastic and lovely.

따뜻하고 친절한 사장님, 깨끗하고 포근한 침구, 세심한 배려가 느껴지는 객실 상태, 잘 정돈된 잔디와 조경 그리고 아름다운 산책길까지. 자연 속에서 편안한 하룻밤 잘 보내고 왔습니다. 가족끼리 친구끼리 혹은 혼자서도 평온하고 행복한 시간을 보낼 수 있는 곳! 조만간 다시 갈 듯.

Lovely serene location, and the hosts make an unbelievable effort to make you as comfortable as possible. They even drove us to several local activities, as we didn’t have a car ourselves.

While not too far from local attractions and activities, bus transport is difficult. Guests should ideally have a car of their own.

The owner is one of the kindest and most generous people that we have ever come across. He went out of his way to tell us about the area and was truly a gentleman. The location is stunning and very well run! Great value for money and in a very pretty part of South Korea. We highly recommend this place ❤️

Very friendly and helpful host. Close by to a stunning mountain with hikes and a lovely village with great restaurant options, including Honam.

The location of the accommodation was perfect, as it was not far from Vivaldi Park. Also, the host picked us up anytime on our way to Vivaldi. They do have a ski rental shop that gives discounts and pick-up service to the guests of this accommodation. They have a place for BBQ and a view point on the side of the accommodation, which was amazing.

Friendly hosts and very helpful with coordination of stay. Helped us arrange transport back to Seoul. Sent us to the nearby supermarket to get foodstuff. BBQ facility was a bonus and added to the joy of staying in Heidi. Facilities are basic but comfortable.

The Host John and his wife was fantastic! They helped shuttle all the guests to the Vivaldi Ski Resort and to the restaurant for meal time. The is a communal dinning area which guests could gather to make our own family BBQ (with a fee) with what you may buy from the local grocery store. It was nice to meet other guests and John was always there to ensure that his guests were comfortable.

We booked two rooms for 2 adults and 3 kids. We were not aware that there a per head cost exceeding 2 per room which means there was additional charge for our kid who was 11 year old.

We headed to Heidi for a night stay after 2 days of snow activities at Vivaldi Park . It was very nice of Mr Lee to pick us from our Vivaldi Park accommodation to Heidi. However, due to the extreme snowfall on that particular day, the typical 20 min to-and-fro drive became 3 hours in total for Mr Lee but he was patient and at all smiles throughout. Mr Lee also sent us to a nearby supermarket later in the day to buy some food for our BBQ. Heidi itself is a lodge-like accommodation which provided urbanites like us a whole different experience . The room was clean, spacious, warmly heated with a little kitchenette. We especially enjoyed the warm hospitality of the owners (Mr and Mrs Lee), the BBQ over brick-stove and charcoal as well as having our meals in the naturally firewood heated dining place . Thank you for sharing with us your lovely homemade Kimchi and drinks , roasted sweet potatoes, tangerine , etc. Got acquainted with a friendly couple from HK too! Happy New Year and we hope to be back to Heidi again !

Great place to stay if you want to be closer to nature. Beautiful houses and great mountains view. John and his wife are great hosts.

Mr Lee and wife are super friendly , and their dog Chu Rong was cute , the room are spacious and warm cozy cottage and the view and environment are good ,y kids love the infront of the cottage and we love the camp fire at the night …will recommend friends to Heidi K Haus 🥰

The host personally arranged an airport transfer for our family. It is a very nice and cosy environment as we are able to mingle with other families and get to know other guests. Mr John did his very best to accommodate to every request our family needed. He went the extra mile and we had fun bbq-ing in the winter. Very nice experience for kids who are used to city life.

We had to carry our 4 big luggage (with winter clothes) up to our room on the 2nd level as there are no elevator.

I like the scenery at the place. Its so beautiful. Furthermore, it is near to attractions like nami island, alpaca world, legoland and vivaldi park. Mr. John and his wife are nice person and although i have some language barrier, they try their best to understand our needs. Their friendliness and hospitality are world class service.

Language barrier is an issue but i suggest to download papago apps to moderate the barrier.

The room is clean and big, also there’s heat under the floor so the whole room is warm and comfortable in winter time. There is a kitchen inside the room, so you can cook by yourself. The overall experience about the room is nice and comfortable even during freezing winter time. If you’re foreigner who doesn’t have car and doesn’t know how to speak Korean like me, don’t worry about it! The host is nice and friendly. He helped me with the transportation between ski resorts, ski rental shop and Heidi. He also recommended me the ski rentals shop and the shuttle bus between Seoul and Vivaldi ski resort. He speaks English so don’t worry about the communication.

Our hosts Mr and Mrs Lee are friendly and hospitable. They are also very accomodating to our requests. We love their home; very clean and cozy. Definitely one of our highlight for our trip for our first time in Korea.

Everything was perfect!

Room and facilities are really clean e.g. fresh smelling beds and pillows, with a clean toilet with good flushing system. Over and above the beautiful surroundings and scenaries that Heidi has offered, they also had their own hill top that offered a superb viewpoint off the nearby mountains river! They have a cosy reception room that has a fire place which we enjoyed toasting marshmallows and has conversations with other guests! The place also allow you to buy your own ingredients to do bbq either inside or outside. We did not do our own bbq due to lack of time. He went the extra mile for us by driving and picking us up to nearby destinations and good food. Not just that but also helped us booked a bus from Vivaldi going to Seoul. All of these extra mile services were at no charge.

Nothing much in particular. The hot water is inconsistent, but this isnt any problem at all.

Very homely feeling. Host John conversant in English and very friendly. Host help us get ride to supermarket to buy BBQ food and snacks.

I didn't feel it was easy to get around myself without own transport, but host John helpfulness filled the gap.

We stayed four nights, with day trips to the Gangchon Rail Park, Alpaca World, and Nami Island. This place was recommended by friends and I'm so glad we decided to stay here. John and his wife were really kind and took very good care of us. Rooms were clean and neat. Hot water flowed freely during bathtime and we drank cold water straight from the tap. For the most part, we felt like we were visiting grandparents who kept feeding us. We skipped the Vivaldi Ski Park only to discover Pallbong-san was closed for the winter, but John got us four gimbap, brought us to a nearby service road up a small peak, and sent us on a short hike (that incline!). We still got to muck around in the mud and leaves on the way up. Our sons (9 and 7) enjoyed the outdoors, helping John build campfires, playing with his wife's dog, and generally just running around the property screeching like banshees and dipping into John's store of firewood and kindling as he looked on indulgently (city kids don't get campfires much). The charcoal barbecue most reviews mention was a highlight, as was (for me anyway!!) cooking kimchi ramyeon with actual kimchi in a pot on a stove in a proper pension in the Korean countryside. I saved the receipt from our trip to the mart to buy ingredients too, it's going into my journal. Thank you John and Mrs Lee for your hospitality, we will not forget it. p/s For runners, there's a short out and back - just follow the pavement that starts at one of the roads in front of the property (the road after the tunnel, you'll see when you get there) to the end. A round trip took us about 40+ minutes? We called it 6plus-7km. A pleasant enough route.

The host of the property is exceptional.

It is house with at least two rooms for rent. The rooms are on the first floor, the hosts live at the bottom. The rooms have no common walls with other rooms and you cannot hear anything through the floor so the place is very quiet. The house is o a glade, surrounded by trees, protected by a thick layer of trees from the road, so there is really peace and quiet. There is lots of space to park. There is a river and a hill really close - we didn't visit them, but they looked really nice. The rooms are very nice. We had two really big and comfortable beds, a refrigerator, a thing to heat up food, a bathroom with shampoo, gel, toothpaste. There is floor heating and AC, the floor heating is enough to heat up the room. The WiFi works very well. The hosts are super friendly, the host made us feel like we are family - showed us where he travelled, organized a barbecue, told very interesting stories and even gave us some kimbap when we left. We really felt at home, it was a great atmosphere. Even before we arrived the host offered us help with anything we needed. We were also offered slippers. We would definitely return to Heidi if we one day come back to Korea.

It is not that easy to find the place on e.g. Naver. You can find it on Google Maps without problems, but we had a car and Google Maps does not work in Korea for driving. In the end I think we wrote "Haidi" on Naver and it worked. Alternately you can find on one phone on Google Maps and then find the location on Naver on the other phone.

I have lived in Korea for 20 years and this is the first pension to live up to what it offers. The interior and exterior were so clean. The garden area is so well kept. The owners are extremely helpful, friendly. To be honest went beyond. I think that the price is also very attractive. It is truly a ‘little Switzerland’ if anyone has been to Switzerland. If you want some action there are sufficient things to do and then come back to have a great barbecue in a beautiful setting. The view of the mountain is soothing. I loved the quietness of Heidi K. Thank you to you both!!

We loved the location of the property in the mountains, you have a fantastic view. We enjoyed the BBQ that we had and the staff are so lovely and always willing to help you if they can. The beds are amazing and very comfortable.

Although, the owner was very kindly willing to give us a lift to places close by, the property itself is not within walking distance of certain attractions like hiking which we wanted to do. The location didn’t allow for much independence in where you wanted to go, unless you have a car.

Like vacationing with your grandpa who just wants to make you happy. The owners are a lovely couple. Great location, close to many things to do. Beautiful scenery.

펜션 들어서는 입구는 처음인 사람은 찾기가 어려웠습니다. 갑작스럽게 입구가 나타나는 느낌이랄까요. 미리 안내 표지판이 하나 있으면 좋겠다 싶었습니다. 펜션은 정말 깔끔했습니다. 방이 넓진 않지만... 필요한건 다 있고...사장님이 펜션을 얼마나 사랑하고 가꾸시는지 알겠더라구요. 전망도 너무 좋아서 다른 계절에도 또 가고 싶을 정도입니다. 여름이고 산속이라 모기가 많을까 걱정했는데 바베큐하고 불멍하는 동안 큰 아이만 한번 물리고 아무도 물리지 않았습니다. 편션 주위에 심어놓으신 모기가 싫어한다는 나무를 심어놓으셨다고 했는데 그 덕인거 같아요. 진짜 효과짱이었습니다. 후기에서도 봤었지만...사장님 정말 친절하시더라구요... 바베큐 준비해주시면서 따주신 야채는...정말 너무 맛있었습니다. 너무 맛있게 먹어서 인지 다음날 챙겨주셨는데...넘 맛있어서 염치불구하고 많이 얻어왔습니다. 전망대까지 가면서 나무, 꽃 등 설명해주시는데 그런데 관심없던 초등 6 아들이 재밌었는지 진지하게 듣더라구요...뜻하지 않은 생태교육까지 해주셔서 감사합니다. 너무 오랜만에 한 가족여행인데 덕분에 좋은 추억을 많이 남기고 왔습니다. 항상 건강하시고 오래 펜션 유지해주셨으면 좋겠습니다.

하룻밤 잘 쉬었다 갑니다. 저녁에 체크인 하는 바람에 주변 풍광을 잘 보지 못했는데 참 아름다운 곳입니다. 주변의 홍천강 관광단지 까지 걸어서 10분 정도 밤 12시에 침실 전등 불 끄려고 전화해서 미안합니다. ^^ 커틴에 가려져서 스위치를 못 찾았어요.ㅠㅠ

Very beautiful surroundings and rather cklose to restaurants etc. A nice garden which you were allowed to use. The host very helpful. Spacious rooms with the most of what you need.

아주 편안하고 조용하고 앞에 홍천강이 흐르고 눈앞에 팔봉산이 보이는 너무도 맑고 깨끗한 하루를 보내고 왔네요 친구들과 편하게 놀다 왔습니다. 사장님 부부께 감사하단 말씀 다시 드리고 싶습니다. 너무 친절하셔서... 다시한번 가족여행 가고 싶네요

자연속에서 편하게 쉴 수 있는 곳이었습니다. 담에 또 오고 싶은 곳이네요.

오랜만의 여행이였는데 정말 힐링하고 왔습니다 넓은 마당과 바로앞의 팔봉산이 있어 경치가 좋았고 바베큐도 실내에서 해서 따뜻하게 먹을수 있었습니다 다음에도 또 가고싶은 펜션이였습니다!
