Das Frühstück war mega... jeden Tag selbstgemachten Saft, frisch gebackene Brötchen/Croissants und selbstgemachte Marmeladen. Viel Auswahl und tolle Heißgetränke. Zimmer und Bad waren mega komfortabel mit Zugang zur Terrasse und Pool

I loved the woman who greeted us and made us breakfast.She was warm and helpful. I loved the dogs...they were delightful. Loved the bath and the fuschia pink wall on the balcony. The views were amazing. The breakfast was delicious, great coffee with the requested plant milk,crisp baguettes, home made jams, fruit salad. The proximity to the penguins was terrific.

Superbe Guesthouse, personnel très disponible, superbe petit déjeuner avec produits faits maison. Excellente situation, calme et très belle vue.

Very special location, absolutely stunning view, very excellent breakfast served by very friendly staff (eggs, fruit salad with fresh and extraordinary fruits like dragonfruit), delicious cheese and ham, and the best bread we had on our whole trip in South Africa.

Breakfast was amazing, staff were 5 star and engaging. It was our weddings anniversary and we asked for flowers and champagne as an addition. Flowers were so fresh they lasted 3 weeks 🌷

Such a warm welcome from the wonderful staff gave our holiday the best start possible. Fabulous location for doing the Cape. Quiet and very peaceful yet close to everything. And fantastic food to top it all off. If you get the chance to have dinner here, take it!

Die gesamte Einrichtung und auch die offene Küche , der Wohnraum, der Essplatz alles fein gestaltet. Frische Blumen haben das Interieur abgerundet. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön ausgestattet und haben einen tollen Blick Richtung Meer. Der Besitz war sehr freundlich und herzlich. Alles zusammen sehr empfehlenswert.

The rooms and house are beautiful and comfortable. The staff is lovely and food is also great. Views will not disappoint either

Das Frühstück war fantastisch! Das Personal war sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Wegen der Mädels war es ein toller Aufenthalt! Jeden Tag gab es frische Küchlein / französische Spezialitäten. Die Möglichkeit, sich beim Frühstück am großen Tisch mit anderen Gästen zu unterhalten.

Unser Zimmer (lag nach hinten und) war total überladen und plüschig. Das Essen, das vom unfreundlichen Besitzer zubereitet wurde, war überteuert.

Die Lage und die Aussicht ist einmalig. Super Service mit ausschließlich freundlichen und sehr engagierten Menschen. Das Highlight war das Dinner von William - wir haben auf der ganzen Reise in Südafrika nur gut gegessen, aber William hat alles getopt. Fantastisch.

William’s hospitality with crew is exceptional. The house is very well decorated. You have a super view when you open your eyes in the morning from your room. We’re very happy to experience dinner cooked by grand chef William.

Beautiful house with stunning views. Gorgeous room. William couldn’t have been more helpful. It was very unfortunate that we both arrived here with a stomach virus so couldn’t enjoy the wonderful food! That was why we had booked! But William did everything he could for us to make our stay enjoyable, bringing us a beautiful cheeseboard as he knew we couldn’t go out. It’s a beautiful b and b and we want to return when we are well and enjoy the food!

Exquisite meal cooked for fabulous evening. Felt like we were in a luxury villa and absolutely spoilt by the beautiful staff. Superb views, peaceful. Staff and William could not be more helpful. An ideal spot to relax or stop off on way somewhere else. Great chance to meet many other visitors from multi countries.

La décoration de l'ensemble de la résidence et particulèrement les chambres : tout est fait avec beaucoup de gout et tout est très cosy et confortable : on s'y sent super bien. L'accueil de William et de son équipe + les petites attentions. Le diner préparé par William : on s'est régalés, on sent le passioné ! La magnifique piscine face à l'océan. Un seul regret : Ne pas être restés plus longtemps.

Approach was steep but to be expected for such a great view. It was manageable and should not keep people away.

The steep drive was a bit off putting but once inside it was absolutely beautiful. Fabulous location, walking distance to Boulders beach and short drive to Cape of Good Hope

We booked this as previous guests had reviewed the perfection and skill of the owners culinary skills. However when we asked if we could have dinner there we were told that William does not cook on a Wednesday! There were other guests who had stayed for the last 3 years and they were served dinner. The price was expensive at £160 for the night. Breakfast was served at the large dining table and again we were not offered a cooked breakfast where the afore-mentioned guests were!

Alles!!!!!! Der Aufenthalt bei William war unbeschreiblich. Die Zimmer sind so stillvoll eingerichtet, das Frühstück habe ich so noch nie erlebt. Alles ist frisch und von gehobener Qualität!!!! Wir haben uns sehr über den Pool gefreut und darüber, dass alles jederzeit tadellos sauber war. Wir konnten unser Auto sicher direkt vor dem Haus abstellen.

William the owner has such an exquisite taste for the decorations n how each room has its own theme. he makes it so homely. he pays so much attention to details. my BEST accomdation so far.

William and staff are superb! The breakfast was delicious and all the food is made from scratch. William's cooking is world class. The view is out of this world too...And, every day you get home made cookies! I'm definitely going back!

Twice, I had to ask for the soap and shampoo dispenser to be refilled. Not the end of the world, as the staff are VERY obliging and friendly. I loved all three ladies very much

This place is a slice of paradise! From the moment we walked in, it felt less like an hotel but more like you’re visiting a friend with a beautiful villa in Cape Peninsula. The set up of the B&B made it feel very much home-like, bright, airy and with beautiful quiet lounge music playing on. We arrived after a long flight and this was the perfect place to relax, with its stunning view & pool. We were staying in the Queen Room with Garden which was very spacious, extremely clean and with a generous bathroom with both shower & bath. The staff was fantastic, making you feel welcome from the first moment and being super helpful, thank you so much! We also appreciated having breakfast included which was absolutely excellent and very varied (along with a cappuccino made by the staff!) and the chance to get bottled water from the fridge in the kitchen. We did not have any drinks but you have the option to purchase a bottle of wine and enjoy it while looking at the view which I think it’s a brilliant idea. My only regret is that we did not stay longer. If ever in Cape Town area we will definitely be back & tell family and friends about it!

The place was absolutely excellent. Very minor things - we did not have a bin in the room - so this would be a small adjustment that would make a nice difference. Additionally, we were traveling by taxi/Uber and did not find anyone to bring us back from Simon’s Town after dinner. Absolutely not the accommodation’s fault but would recommend having you own car if you want to stay here!

Best accomodation in the entire Simon's town area. We've stayed three times at Residence William French and we'll be back again - when there's an open spot!

Unser Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel war hervorragend. Vom ersten Moment an haben wir uns sehr willkommen gefühlt. Das Personal war durchweg freundlich, aufmerksam und mega hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer waren modern, sehr sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet, mit einem bequemen Bett und allem, was man für einen entspannten Aufenthalt braucht. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das Frühstück: große Auswahl, frische Produkte und sehr lecker, alles was das Herz begehrt. Auch die Lage der Residence William ist ideal – ruhig, aber doch mit dem Auto sehr gut zu erreichen. Hervorzuheben ist ausserdem noch der spezielle Dinner, welcher von William angeboten wird und sehr zu empfehlen ist.

Pool konnte wegen tiefer Wassertemperatur (ca. 19°C) nur bedingt genutzt werden.

Alles in diesem Haus ist unglaublich. Von außen wirkt es eher schlicht. aber wenn man die Unterkunft betritt, ist man fasziniert von all den Dingen, die geschmackvoll miteinander kombiniert werden. Die Zimmer sind wunderschön mit einem grandiosen Ausblick. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück mit frischem, selbst gemachten Brot, frischem Granola und Früchten ist eine Gaumenfreude. Außerdem sollte man unbedingt das Abendessen dort genießen, das ebenso frisch und kreativ von William zubereitet wird. Allein der gedeckte Tisch ist ein Traum. Wir waren mit unseren 4 Kindern dort, sie sind zwischen 20 und 30 und sie waren genau so begeistert wie wir! Wir wollen alle bald wieder dorthin!

The property is beautifully designed. It really feels like a home and the views are stunning. The room and the bathroom felt luxurious. The hosts were really accommodating with our requests and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable - thank you team.

The breakfast was lovely but very continental and had been sitting out for a while. It is also worth noting that the property is up a very steep hill which can be a struggle with suitcases. Thankfully the staff kindly helped us!

Eine sehr spezielle Atmosphäre aber wir waren begeistert. Die Personal war super nett, dass Frühstück phänomenal, die Zimmer in einem speziellen Stil eingerichtet und der Wohnbereich gemütlich.

Wenn man keine Hunde mag ist dies der falsche Ort.

Sehr gut ausgestattete und mit Liebe zum Detail und zur Individualität eingerichtete Zimmer, die uns sehr gut gefallen haben. Der Sundowner über dem Meer von der Poolterrasse wird uns lange in Erinnerung bleiben. Das Frühstück überzeugte mit selbstgemachten Marmeladen und einem erstklassigen Kaffee und Obstsalat. Diese Unterkunft unbedingt buchen!

William and his crew were very welcoming and we loved the dogs! The driveway is a bit steep and there is no signage, so we were kind of confused when we first pulled in but the directions were on point. Beautiful home and view. We left before breakfast but were given delicious croissants to take with us. Would stay here again.

The location and home are fantastic, comfortable and beautiful. The dinners provided are also excellent and personal preferences are thoughtfully accommodated. You may never want to leave the comfort and exquisite pool with lovely staff and catering but it’s an excellent base for Cape Point, snorkeling in nearby kelp forests and visiting penguins.

It’s worth considering your mobility and if you have difficulty with stairs staying on a lower level. But if it isn’t a concern a private balcony is a lovely upgrade.

The absolutely best Place I‘ve ever been South of North Pole! Besitzes very friendly, the owner and its personnel are also extremely good in cooking.
