The rooms were clean & functional, the food was delicious.

The breakfast tables were not cleaned and reset, we were getting side plates and cutlery off other tables. Also the hot food was luke warm at breakfast.

The location was amazing (I'm an ex student) and the room was very clean, but the jacuzzi bath was the best part

The room was very outdated, with a TV that didn't work well (but I'm sure it's not the same for every room and we weren't really there to watch TV) and from the pictures I was expecting a nicer room. If i go again, will request a seafront room next time!

The painted cupboard in the corner was a bit dodgy - but the rest of the room - with a view of the water and a nice sea breeze made up for it.

Wedding going on at the hotel, very noisy particularly because the wedding guests thought they were the only ones there. This wasn't the hotels fault, but they should maybe put all the wedding guests together so they don't disturb others.

The hotel is right on the promenade and very central.

We paid £280 for 2 nights to have a double room. When we arrived at the property the staff told us we could check in. However, when we approached the room there was a plumber in the room and in fact we could not check in. We later checked into the room and there were wet and dirty towels on the floor in the bath room and in the shower. Later that evening, I went to check if the door was locked and the carpet was soaking wet. When telling the staff they just apologised. Nothing was done about this matter. I do not think it is worth the money.

Great location, very comfortable and good value, if a little "tired" in some areas. The staff were excellent. It has on-site parking with an overflow carpark nearby so parking should not be an issue.

The shower room was very small, the Wi-Fi system was not very stable. You could log in one moment but not the next. The large room used for breakfast is not very pleasant. No windows and rather old fashioned. It would be much better if guests could have breakfast in the function room to the front of the hotel and enjoy sea views while dining.

I spent another fantastic 11 nights at the Marine Hotel in Aberystwyth at my favourite room, 227, which I choose every summer for it's amazing views across Cardigan Bay. Awaking to the sounds of the tide ebbing and flowing is simply blissful and spiritually therapeutic. Fatima and her cleaning team were brilliant - and so helpful - and as ever kept the room spotless. On mornings when my health didn't permit me to go down in person to the dining room for breakfast, the staff, in particular Sophie, were more than willing to bring it to my room. Many thanks again! With being disabled, the staff once again effortlessly accommodated my mobility scooter, as well as any other needs. All my advance requests were arranged for perfectly. If I had to offer some constructive criticism, I would say the WiFi wasn't so great, and the shower head was difficult for me to adjust Overall it was once again a lovely experience and I'm looking forward to more of the same next year. Thank you.

The wifi was very hit and miss. The dining room was understaffed at breakfast and there was no permanent staff member at the bar from lunchtime until early evening.

Sehr kleines Zimmer, heiss und stikig. Dusche winzig klein und es kam nur heisses Wasser. Vermutlich habe ich diese Abstellkammer erhalten weil ich mit meinem Zwergschnauzer angereist bin. Nicht zu empfehlen. Für den Preis hätte ich etwas anderes erwartet. Parkplatz stand auch nicht zur Verfügung am Anreisetag. Musste einen Kostenpflichtigen Parkplatz in der nähe des Hotels nehmem. Zum hohen Zimmerpreis kam noch die Übernachtung von 30 Paund dazu für meinen Hund. Das finde ich wirklich abzocke.

Good buffet breakfast with good quality ingredients. Dinner menu adequately varied. One dinner was excellent, another was disappointing. Compact room but had everything needed - and the large bay window where we could sit and enjoy the sea views more than compensated.

Breakfast could have been hotter but always difficult to maintain temperature with a buffet.

If we had booked directly with the hotel we would have had two free breakfasts & the use of the spar which we then paid a extra £70

It all started with the welcoming team during check-in. We had a lovely chat about our travels up the coast, and then we found our room. We had a lovely room with a great view over the beachfront/esplanade. The room had a little bay window, that opened to allow the nice sea breeze in, with a small coffee table and two chairs. Ideal for relaxing while looking out and admiring the views. We had our evening meal down in the restaurant and it was very nice and the clod drinks went down nicely. If I’m ever back this way, I’d definitely be booking and staying here.

I didnt like being woke up when I payed for extra time ! It broke my sleep 😴, and the table i hit my knees on it few times very tite gap, nowhere to put shoes anyway . Carpark was full so had to park out the way ..

Lovely hotel right on the front, really friendly and professional staff, great service throughout with easy access to the pier for some cocktails in the sun and short walk into town or drive to some lovely beaches. Quality food in the restaurant which looks like it would be a lovely wedding venue. Lots of places to sit and enjoy a nice drink at the Bar.

Absolutely unbelievable service from the ladies on reception. We had booked elsewhere and it was double booked so after being offered an alternative hotel which wasn’t suitable we tried Marine Hotel and they couldn’t do enough to help us. We got a sea view luxury room for a very reasonable price. I can’t recommend this hotel enough for the service they provided and a lovely breakfast as well. Thank you so much 👏

!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID !!! Let’s begin with the fact that we booked two rooms , requested to be next to each other which the hotel agreed and had done apparently, requested this five months prior to our arrival date. We arrived to find that our rooms were separated via stairs and on different floors but technically next to each other to a degree? This is a load of rubbish they simple should have said they couldn’t accommodate it. Next, arrival. The room was so small and compact that it would have made anyone feel claustrophobic. The tv didn’t work, the curtains were broken and hanging of the rail, the toilet roll holder couldn’t stay up right as it was loose, the shower leaked, and there was scum up all the walls in the bathroom including wet tissue paper. Also there wasn’t even enough room for a wardrobe just a towel rack which didn’t not protect our clothes at all. If you had a suit or white shirt/dress, the likeliness of getting something spilt or stained on your clothes is so high in an open hanging rack and small room!! Honestly it was disgusting. And the DUST!!! If you have allergies , AVOID this place at all costs. There was so much dust I spent both nights sneezing. For *£300 and non refundable , I have never been so disappointed. We complained to staff and they simply said they’re so busy and couldn’t do anything right now. I’ve stayed in multiple hotels in Aberystwyth especially after being a student for many years there, and can honestly say AVOID AVOID AVOID !!!

Situated in prime position on Aber sea front the Marine offers comfortable accommodation. The sea view rooms are to be recommended as why else would you stay on the sea front in the first place . The rooms are elegantly furnished but not large . The public areas are spacious with a sea front bar and large dining room . The breakfast buffet delivers a good full English but is surprisingly let down by the poor quality of the sausage . Wales has many butchers producing excellent sausage so why skimp on serving these characterless skins filled with ground up skin & gonads in what is probably the best hotel in Aber? . Attention to detail matters and it can be done . Our evening meal was good . The staff make this hotel , they are all helpful and lovely . We will return and hope to see the sausage issue solved .

Given the premium rate charged for the accommodation, the quality of the room and service provided absolutely did not offer value for money. I feel it necessary to bring the following matters to your attention: Room Location and Size: The room we were assigned was exceptionally small and, to our surprise, was not located in the main hotel building that we booked, but rather in an adjacent annex. Noise Disturbances: The room’s proximity to the parking area made it highly susceptible to noise from the car park. Furthermore, the car park entrance/exit door was situated right next to our room door and closed so loudly that it caused continuous disruption throughout our stay. Cleanliness Issues: We noted several maintenance and hygiene shortcomings. The bed was not clean, the toilet seat cover was soiled, and the tower cooling fan provided in the room was heavily covered in dust inside, which raised health concerns. Missing Amenities: Basic room essentials were lacking. Despite the booking being for two guests, there was only one glass provided. There was no hairdryer in the room, forcing us to request one separately. Additionally, there was no in-room telephone to contact reception, making communication with your staff highly inconvenient. Parking Availability: Despite the hotel offering parking facilities, we were unable to find an available spot during our stay. Considering the high price point of this stay, we expected a baseline of cleanliness and comfort that was simply not met. It was a highly disappointing experience, and I trust that you will review these points with your housekeeping and management teams to ensure significant improvements are made.

Sea view double room in poor conduction with a poor shower room and unacceptable fittings. Curtains wouldn’t open and close properly and no fan provided. Breakfast was acceptable. This room cost us £145 per night including breakfast which was far too much for a room of this calibre. We would not recommend this hotel.

Room was like a broom cupboard, hard to access with luggage, Extremely small, bed was barely big enough for 1 person. Only 1 towel on arrival perhaps was only supposed to be for 1 person, but was booked for 2. Worst Room in 12 weeks of travel.

Floors aren't level, room was very small with slanting roof with limited head space. Bathroom had a pungent smell, like the drains weren't properly ventilated. Rooms are very dated and extremely basic. All the staff were nice and friendly and the location is good though.
