Reviewed Sep 14, 2026War ein sehr toller Aufenthalt. Angenehme Atmosphäre und super schön gelegen. Die Zimmer waren sauber und optimal eingerichtet. Ich hatte anfangs Angst, dass es zu hellhörig sein könnte, aber ich habe sehr wenig von den Nachbsrn mitbekommen. Das Frühstück war gut, hatte mehr Auswahl als erwartet und die Produkte stammen mehrheitlich aus der Gegend.
Für einen längeren Aufenthalt wären mir die Matratzen zu weich.

Reviewed Sep 4, 2026Nous avons adoré séjourner dans cet hôtel pour 3 nuits. Le personnel est d’une très grande gentillesse, toujours à nos petits soins. L’hôtel a une ambiance familiale. Le petit déjeuné est très complet et le petit village dans lequel se situe l’hôtel est adorable. Nous avons pu randonner pour rejoindre Brienz à pied, et le soir c’était un plaisir de promener dans le village avec notre chien. La chambre était super belle avec une vue splendide sur les montages et sur deux cascades, un décor de rêve qui a rendu notre voyage inoubliable. Un grand merci, nous reviendrons avec plaisir !
Le seul petit bémol est que les chambres manquaient d’isolations sonores. C’était assez bruyant le soir mais je pense que cela est dû au fait que les sols sont en parquets.

Parking right outside was very convenient, and the location was excellent – only a 5–7 minute walk from Ballenberg and the woodcarving/cow experience. The hosts were incredibly thoughtful. As they knew we were leaving very early for Jungfraujoch, they prepared a wonderful takeaway breakfast with sandwiches, boiled eggs, fruit and cheese. It was so generous and kept our family going all day!
Nothing – we had a lovely stay.

The owners were especially amazing — without a doubt the kindest and most welcoming hosts we have ever met. They made us feel genuinely at home and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Everything was spotlessly clean, peaceful, and beautifully taken care of. We honestly have nothing to complain about and would happily stay here again. Highly recommended! ❤️

Die Bedienung ist Freundlich, der Empfang und das gesamte Personal ist sehr Freundlich. Das Hotel ist einfach eingerichtet, dafür mit Herz und sehr schön, ein schönes Ambiente.

Reviewed Aug 19, 2026La ubicación en un entorno precioso. La amabilidad de los trabajadores. Sobre todo Stela, creo que se llamaba así. Las camas muy cómodas, ni un ruido se oía. Ideal para visitar muchos sitios de Suiza.
Que hizo mucho calor esa semana y la habitación tenía un pequeño aire portátil pero con ese calor no daba a basto. Vieno como se avecinan los veranos tal vez deberían instalar aire acondicionado en la habitación cuadrúple que está arriba.

Reviewed Aug 16, 2026Vorab, das Hotel Alpenrose können wir uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Ein kleines, unkompliziertes, aber sehr ansprechendes Hotel in Fussdistanz zum Freilichtmuseum Ballenberg. Die Zimmer sind einfach, mit Bad/Dusche, oberländisch rustikal und top gepflegt und sauber. Auch das Frühstückbuffet ist üppig, schön angerichtet und lässt soweit keine Wünsche offen. Parkplätze hats vor Ort und die sind kostenlos nutzbar. Ein Dankeschön dem Alpenrosen-Team, wir kommen sicher wieder einmal zurück!

Teníamos el apartamento de abajo que sales directamente a la terraza y es una ventaja muy buena si viajas con niños. Todo el personal muy amable pero en especial Hugo que nos ayudo en algunos momentos con el idioma porque es el único que hablaba español.

They added in a bonus AC unit that we did not expect and it really helped cool off those hot afternoons. Breakfast was included and a good variety. Driving distance to interlaken and nearby towns.

Petit bémol : il est juste regrettable que le restaurant de l'hôtel soit fermé le dimanche et le lundi car au vu du sympathique hôtel nous airions eu plaisir à manger dans son restaurant. Cependant le dimanche et le lundi, la réception propose des adresses d'autres restaurants dans la région en contrepartie, ce qui est très bien et ne laisse pas les hôtes sans solution - bravo !

She made us feel very comfortable and went above and beyond to assist us. The owner of the hotel was also a wonderful, warm, and friendly gentleman. It was truly a pleasure meeting him, and I hope he can get in touch with me in the future. A beautiful experience with genuinely kind people. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!

Sehr nettes Personal und der Chef selbst kommt morgens an den Tisch für ein paar nette Worte oder nen kleinen Plausch. Gemütliche Atmosphäre und leckeres Frühstück. Ich hatte eine kleine Terrasse mit tollem Ausblick in meinem Einzelzimmer.
Leider keine Klimaanlage im Zimmer, nur ein Ventilator. Das war sehr schwül und warm nachts. Beim Frühstück wäre es toll, wenn die Eierspeisen inkludiert wären.

She greeted us warmly, brought water, glasses, a small treat for our children and a corkscrew to our room to help us settle in quickly and get a good nights rest. She was equally lovely in the morning at breakfast which had a nice mix of fresh breads, fruits, yogurt, cheeses and meats.The views were breathtaking and parking was a breeze. Would not hesitate to return and wish we could have stayed longer.

Reviewed Jul 13, 2026Habe mich hier sehr wohl gefühlt, Gastgeber sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und humorvoll, man fühlt sich sehr willkommen, Zimmer schön und sauber, er roch sehr angenehm nach Holz, Frühstücksbuffet (fantastisches Brot) und Abendessen sehr fein, Lage sehr ruhig und schön, Ballenberg und Bushaltestellen in unmittelbarer Nähe, Preis / Leistung top, das Hotel ist für einen Aufenthalt in der Region Brienz sehr zu empfehlen.

Reviewed Jul 11, 2026Das grosse Zimmer und Bad mit Gartensitzplatz und Blick in die Berge. Die Nähe zum Freilichtmuseum Ballenberg. Das reichhaltige Frühstücksbuffet mit frischem Brot und dem Fruchtsalat mit frischen früchten. Das nette Personal.
Für unsere Bedürftnisse etwas zu harte Betten.

Reviewed Jul 9, 2026Das Frühstück-Buffet war reichhaltig und frisch. Genügend Ware vorhanden.
Das Brot könnte man am Abend vorher backen damit es am Morgen kalt ist. Es lässt sich viel besser schneiden! Und ist einfach viel besser! Und vor allem gesünder! Ergiebiger reicht weiter!

Reviewed Jul 8, 2026The hosts were wonderful. The breakfast was nice. It was walking distance to Ballenberg outdoor museum and Trauffer’s wooden cow carving experience.
Our room had a tower fan. Others had a portable air conditioner.

Reviewed Jul 8, 2026Mysigt och familjärt hotell, ägaren och personalen gjorde det lilla extra och var mycket trevliga och hjälpsamma.
Tyvärr var hotellets restaurang stängd dagarna vi var där, söndag och måndag vilket tydligen var vanligt även för andra restauranger så inte helt lätt att hitta kvällsmat.
