El tracte rebut per Johannes ha sigut excel·lent, vam estar parlant molta estona i ens va donar moltes recomanacions i consells per passar el dia allà, gràcies a ell vam poder veure balenes en una època que no és habitual. També vam reservar amb ell la immersió amb taurons i tot va anar genial. L'esmorzar va ser molt complet.

Tot molt bé. S'ha de tenir en compte que està en una urbanització apartada i és necessari el cotxe. Tot i així, hi ha un supermercat i un restaurant.

Il titolare è amichevole, simpatico e disponibile. La struttura un po' spartana ma sufficiente - colazione molto buona preparata dal titolare in persona. Molto disponibile ad aiutare con il viaggio e i ristornati della zona.

Johannes was a wonderful host who thoroughly engaged with visitors. The breakfast was excellent and we liked the individual toasters on each table. Johannes did all the cooking and constantly engaged with us. He was great.We thoroughly recommend this accommodation.

Everything the Host was the most interesting person I have met in South Africa so far and was so very helpful in all ways from buses to tours to pubs and onwards to other places to visit super breakfast Too I throughly enjoyed my stay

Abbiamo fatto solo una notte qui ma la struttura era molto carina e particolare, il proprietario Johannes è stato super!! Da subito ci ha accolto con simpatia e gentilezza, ci ha raccomandato posti dove andare a mangiare e attività da fare, dandoci preziosi consigli. Ci ha aspettato dopo cena per offrirci un bicchiere di vino e di amaro ed è stato di ottima compagnia, anche la colazione è stata super, preparata sul momento da lui. Inoltre si trova in una zona residenziale e ben sorvegliata.

La stanza era un po' piccola ma per una notte ci si adatta.

Johannes macht es zu einem Erlebnis, lieber Kerl der jede Menge guter Tips parat hat. Sehr hilfsbereit.

Very clean and good location. Beach and restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast was well catered to our diet and Johannes was a great host.

What a warm welcome we had from the owner Johannes, safe parking, room has everything in that you need and very clean. Owner was very helpful with recommending places to lunch etc. Breakfast was one for the books, freshly made and absolutely delicious, especially the scrambled eggs. Will definitely book again if we go down to Gansbaai. Wonderful stay we had, thank you Johannes, much appreciated.

We did not have the breakfast offered as we were meeting friends for breakfast. Everything was very comfortable and Johannes was very friendly and helpful. We really appreciated the snack pack he gave us when we left.

We stayed here one night in mid November 2024, and slept well in a queen sized double bed. A big plus was that we never saw or heard a single mosquito — a surprising first for our Garden Route holiday and a welcome relief. Whether this is typical for Gansbaai, the time of year, or just a fluke, we never found out.  This long established B&B is comfortable both in the bedrooms and the lounge, which has its own TV and a private bar. A great place to relax of an evening with travel companions and the host. Our host, Johannes Bruyns (pronounced 'brains') was of a similar post-retirement age to us. We found him to be congenial, with a 'teasing' sense of humour, a real character, who regaled us over breakfast with tales from his long career of running the B&B. Yet nothing was too much trouble for him ... not even our non standard allergies. To marks for this considerate host.

Everything was good. My stay was to short.

The room is basic but provides everything you need. It even comes with a fridge and kettle. The room is rather dark but everything feels clean and it's a good place to say for a few nights. The location is good, a safe area in walking distance from the shore to watch the whales. Johannes the owner is very friendly and helpful, providing valuable advice and making me feel totally at home and even made my room after the first night.

Humour was not appropriate and included telling one of the female guests she should stay in the kitchen because that is where women belong. I did not appreciate this and when I challenged the comment we were referred to a sign outside about not entering if you don't have a sense of humour. This set the tone for our experience. I would personally not choose to return to this B&B.

The host (Johannes) was able to accommodate me last minute deciding to arrive early which was amazing and allowed me a day of exploring without luggage. Location is a short walk from a beautiful coastal hiking trail and beaches to explore and Johannes was so helpful with suggestions for where to go and directions on how to get there. The surrounding area feels very safe, as a solo female traveller, I felt comfortable walking places even after dark. I was offered a free room upgrade as I was the only guest for the night. The room was bright and clean and the whole bnb was decorated and felt homey. The breakfast in the morning was filling and made by Johannes himself. Johannes was also able to arrange a shuttle to take me to my next destination. I’ve been staying in hostels so this was a very nice change and honestly the best sleep I’ve had since arriving in SA! Thank you!
