The staff was amazing. They accommodated my last minute requests and went the extra mile to make me feel welcome. It was a quick getaway that I had planned and turned out just as I expected thanks to everyone.

Some of the amenities could've been better. (Rather available. Because the room was definitely missing some) 😄

Reviewing Grids by Epic. Because when i reached with my family for the checkin @8pm i, was asked to shift to their sister property Grids by Epic. The staff was cooperative and helpful..but they couldn't compensate for the poor location and construction of the property

One the worst stays I have had. Firstly ,the owner should never make you shift at the last minute. If the hitel was under renovation, this should have been informed prior to us. That was very unfair. The location is pathetic. Feels like you are stranded at a desolate location. No nearby cafes/shops/ restaurants/supermarket. The road in the front is so dark..u wont feel comfortable to walk out after sunset. Therefore u will have to take dinner at the hotel... Which has a very shabby menu and the preparations are not good. Plus, they are very costly. The property has a small pool right at the entrance even before the reception.. so anyone near the road can have full view of the pool. The rooms dont have a wardrobe.. you will have to manage out of your suitcase. The plumbing system is faulty...the water collects after 5 mins of shower.

The property was clean and peaceful. I was able to work remotely on the wifi with little difficulty. It is located a short walk to the beach and to the central area. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

Интересный отель в колониальном стиле. Расположен недалеко от пляжа, но при этом достаточно уединенно с закрытой небольшой, но красивой территорией. Вкусные зав раки и ужины. Очень отзывчивый и доброжелательный персонал. Просторный номер.

Немного уставший ремонт, но не очень критично. Во время отдыха однажды вечером отключили воду. Было некомфортно. Вопрос решили утром. При полном заселении меняется формат завтрака и посадочных мест не хватает. Мы попали всего на один завтрак в формате буфета с полной посадкой и даже немного очередью. При менее плотном заселении завтрак с индивидуальной подачей по выбору.

Удивительно, что отель 3* может быть лучше многих 4-к, и это правда, все дело в менеджменте отеля, они непосредственно участвуют в организации качественного отдыха, решают любые вопросы оперативно! В отеле чистота!!! А какой завтрак, все очень вкусно и качественно, мы остались очень довольны, да еще за такую цену))) На дереве в отеле 3 обезьянки, они не спускаются и безопасны. Рядом пляж, но мы выбирали черепаший в 3 мин езды на туке. Он интереснее! Алкомаркет при выходе из отеля, что тоже огромный плюс на Шри)))

The hotel had nice architectural features. Rooms were a good size with strong AC and wifi. Staff were friendly and a short walk to the beach and local amenities Breakfast provided was also a generous offering with good choices.

The hotel does not have many facilities on-site for things to do. It has some lounge chairs in the centre for sun-lounging but not much else. However, the location means that the beach and local town are walking distance.

Great location. Spacious and clean rooms. Helpful staff. The manager Mr. Sanath went out of his way to make last hour arrangements for a drop-off to the airport at very reasonable rates.

Locatie was goed, de kamer was ruim.

Schimmel op de kamer in de badkamer. Bedden waren slecht. Ontbijt was karig en ingewikkeldwaar je uit kon kiezene wat je krijgt, je kon maar 1 eitje krijgen. Als je om nog 1 vroeg kreeg je dat niet. Erg dure accommodatie voor wat je krijgt. Zou er zeker niet terug gaan. De hele dag harde housemuziek wordt er afgespeeld bij de bar. Er zit helemaal niemand. Totaal niet uitnodigend.

Das ganze Personal war überaus freundlich und hat uns jeden Wunsch erfüllt.Sie haben nur für uns- 2 Schweizerinnen eine Kochdemonstration im Garten durchgeführt. Die Küche hat uns jeden Wunsch erfüllt und alles haben gestrahlt.

Die anderen Gäste- alles Russen- waren unfreundlich und rücksichtslos, auch dem Personal gegenüber. Das Überqueren der Strasse zum Meer war gefährlich.

Отель не новый и можно конечно придраться к мелочам, но все перекрывает атмосфера отеля. Администратор Таруша всячески готов помочь.

Персонал очень вежливый, быстро реагировал на любые проблемы. До пляжа 3 минуты - идеально.

Вай фай почти не работал. У меня были важные видео встречи онлайн, но вайфай вообще не тянул. Даже обычную почту я не мог открывать и читать. В итоге пришлось местную симку купить, но и она слабо работала.

Very loud (heard everything and everyone from outside), room was unfinished (no lamp etc), quite dirty, didn’t change sheets/towels at all even though they said it is done every 2 days

Frühstück war sehr gut. Die Hotelanlage war gespflegt und idyllisch. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Jeden Tag gab es kostenlos Wasser für uns.

Das Hotelzimmer hätte etwas sauberer sein können. Sessel war dreckig. Waschbecken war nicht sauber beim Check in. Die AC war ziemlich laut.

Epic Unawatuna was amazing, but what made it great was Pasindu. He gave us his number, helped us with everything we needed, and made our stay unforgettable. Absolute legend – thank you, Pasindu! 🙌

Wat een waanzinnig grote kamer! Van buiten lijkt het allemaal redelijk klassiek maar de kamers zeer modern en van alles voorzien. Personeel is vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Tharusha, die ons welkom heette, was zeer gastvrij.

De bedden zijn groot maar matrassen zijn wat doorgezakt. Strand is dichtbij maar niet al te schoon.

De ligging was wel goed, op korte loopafstand van Unawatuna beach

De prijs is veel te duur voor wat je krijgt. Alles is gedateerd en er lijkt niks meer in geïnvesteerd te worden. Schimmel in verschillende kamers, airco’s die herrie maken alsof er een vrachtwagen stationair loopt naast je bed, karig ontbijt, een dakgoot die lekt, enz

Stunning hotel, in a great location in Unawatuna!

We had an issue with our bed, but the staff came to deal with this immediatly, which was unexpected as it was 10.30pm!

Ben ubicat. Té un jardí i un espai molt maco. Habitacions espaioses i comodes. El personal és molt atent.

L’habitació que ens va tocar era a sobre de la cuina i el menjador que tenen, i es sentia molt de soroll. Una mica car pel que realment era.

Персонал приветливый, внимательный, видно, что стараются. Номер чистый, убирались каждый день. На завтрак вкусные панкейки. Выдают пляжные полотенца всегда чистые. Частые гости семья обезьянок, добавили эмоции своим визитом) Рядом пляж, алкомаркет и фруктовая лавка. Рекомендую однозначно!

Gave 2single beds instead one double bed. But it was okay. Maggarretta pizza was like bread, not good at all.

Расположение отличное. Как выходишь с отеля, сразу алкомаркет, и чуть в сторону пляжа метров 300-400 лавка с продуктами, продавца зовут Санду, самые спелые фрукты и самая низкая цена.

Such a beautiful building, gorgeous garden, comfy beds and exceptional service from the staff. Has a little restaurant on-site, very reasonable. Some extra touches like tea/coffee in room, TV and modern bathroom.

It might be scary to cross the highway to get to the beach if you have small kids but easy for adults

Obiekt bardzo ładny z zewnątrz. Pokoje przestronne. Smaczne śniadania

Otrzymaliśmy pokój w którym była pleśń i grzyby. Po zwróceniu uwagi personelowi otrzymaliśmy inny pokój, w trochę lepszym stanie ale również pełen pleśni. Ponieważ był już późny wieczór zdecydowaliśmy się zostać w obiekcie jedną noc. Następnego dnia rano poinformowaliśmy personel że rezygnujemy z dalszego pobytu i idziemy do innego hotelu. Dopiero wtedy personel się zmartwił (zapewne obawiając się negatywnej opinii). W tym momencie reakcja personelu była odpowiednia, zaproponowano nam zakwaterowanie w innym ich hotelu. Odmówiliśmy, ponieważ mieliśmy już zrobioną rezerwację w innym obiekcie. Jednak uważam że w ogóle nie powinniśmy zostać zakwaterowani w takim pokoju, personel obiektu znał stan tych pokoi i wiedział że jest w nich pleśń, jednak z premedytacją położono nas w tym pokoju, licząc za pewne że jakoś to zniesiemy. Jest to z mojej perspektywy niedopuszczalne. Takie pokoje w ogóle nie powinny być udostępniane gościom, gdyż zagraża to ich zdrowiu. Najprawdopodobniej problem z pleśnią występuje tylko w pokojach na parterze (pokoje superior). Uważajcie na ten hotel.

The staff were friendly and good. The dinner and lunch were good.

We didn't get the room that we booked. The washroom was stingy. We felt itchy after using their uncleaned bed sheets. They switched off our WiFi 2 hours before the checkout time. They didn't give 1 hour late checkout.

Sehr freundliches und bemühtes Personal. Schon beim Check-in meinte der Herr, dass er jedes Problem sofort beseitigen würde. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich den Herrn am Frühstück, der uns mit viel Aufmerksamkeit und Herzlichkeit bedient hat. Das Frühstück war liebevoll gestaltet und hat einen tollen Eindruck hinterlassen. Auch der Innenhof ist wunderschön bepflanzt und sorgt für ein angenehmes Ambiente.

Am nächsten Morgen war ein starker Schimmelgeruch wahrnehmbar. Erst da haben wir die deutlichen. Schimmelflecken an Leuchten und Verdunkelungsrollo gesehen, dachte das gehört so zum Look (s. Fotos). Schimmel stellt eine erhebliche Gesundheitsgefahr dar, insbesondere für die Atemwege und die Lunge. Hier besteht dringender Handlungsbedarf: Die Rollos sollten regelmäßig gewaschen, die Leuchten gründlich desinfiziert und auch die Klimaanlage regelmäßig gereinigt werden, da sie Schimmelsporen verteilen kann. Zum Zeitpunkt unserer Entdeckung konnte der Besitzer leider nichts mehr unternehmen, und da wir ohnehin abreisten, haben wir es nicht weiter angesprochen – letztlich sollte so etwas im eigenen Interesse des Gastgebers selbstverständlich überprüft und vermieden werden. Das Bett war nur mäßig komfortabel.

Just stayed at Epic Unawatuna and honestly it was a solid 10 out of 10 experience. It was our first time there and it totally lived up to the hype. The whole place is super aesthetic, cozy and calming, the perfect spot to just relax. Our room was spotless and completely matched the ocean vibe. All the towels, bedsheets, the room itself and even the bathroom were perfectly clean, which made the stay super comfortable. The staff were amazing, super friendly and gave us all the insider info on places to check out around Unawatuna. The beach is just a short walk away and they even provided free towels. Facilities were way above expectations and the food was really good, especially breakfast. When we decided to stay another day, it wasn’t made into a big deal at all. Even with room services, it was literally just one call and everything was sorted instantly. One thing I genuinely appreciated was that as locals we were treated the same as non-locals, which is such a plus. For the price you are paying, everything feels more than worth it. We originally booked for one night but ended up staying two because everything was just that good. Epic really is epic!

Troppa umidità che non si riusciva a togliere neanche con il condizionatore, il letto e successivamente i vestiti e qualsiasi altra cosa erano tutti bagnati come avesse piovuto, da risolvere

Goed ontvangen door personeel en we mochten eerder inchecken. De kamer en de badkamer waren erg schoon. We kregen elke dag schone handdoeken en extra flesjes water. Daarbij als je naar het strand wilde, kreeg je strandlakens mee.

Las sábanas estaban sucias. Un personaje del equipo entró en nuestra habitación sin siquiera preguntar a las diez de la noche.

La struttura è bella, le camere erano abbastanza grandi e le abbiamo trovate molto pulite. Una nota particolarmente positiva va ai bagni che erano spaziosi e con un box doccia grande. Personale gentile.

The property was amazing and very well-maintained. The staff were extremely polite and went out of their way to help us with the menu, our luggage, and even allowed us to enjoy our own drinks in the restaurant. It truly turned out to be one of our best nights in Sri Lanka.

Erg schoon, netjes verblijf! Voor ons zeker 1 van de beste verblijven tijdens onze rondreis in Sri Lanka. Het eten, zowel ontbijt als diner, was echt heerlijk!

El personal muy atento, zumo de bienvenida y nos facilitaron la habitación antes de la hora. Habitación muy grande, todo nuevo y muy limpio. Y el desayuno muy rico y abundante. Muy recomendable.

Epic is located in a tranquil environment and it always utters the calming nature of the place which is like a little fortress. The structure of the buildings will prove it. Anyway, the worm welcome of Mr. Tharusha was there until we left the premises as he was very cordial and concerned about our facilitation. Rooms were specious and has been furnished with comfortable beds and chairs. Bathrooms were equipped with quality materials & hot water heater is working well. Mr.Saman was a nice person to have a conversation with & overall staff were very nice to treat us even with a smile whenever they see us. To mention about the meals, it was a delicious English breakfast.

La struttura è immersa in un'oasi verde. Molto tranquilla. A due passi dal mare. E il personale è veramente super disponibile. Si dorme molto bene.

Chambres spacieuses et bien équipées, cuisine de qualité. Bon rapport qualité-prix près de la plage.

Beaucoup de cafouillage et de perturbations. De retour de ville au soir du premier jour, une des chambres n'avait pas été faite, ce qui donna lieu à une première réclamation, puis elle le fut bien trop longuement et incomplètement, ce qui obligea à trouver refuge dans une seconde chambre dans l'attente du ménage de la première et donna lieu à une seconde réclamation qui aboutit à un troisième ménage de finition du second! Un personnel compétent et sérieux éviterait tous ces problèmes particulièrement agaçants.

Excellent location, a short distance from the sea. Lunch was delicious. Room is spacious and comfortable. The staff were very helpful.

The bathroom sink had some leaks.

Loved the place, the staff were really sweet and lovely very helpful for everything. Especially evening staff. We really enjoyed our stay from start to finish cant fault anything. Breakfast was nice they provide decent options. Would recommend.

El desayuno, la atención del personal y la habitación (grande, cómoda y bien equipada). Nada de insectos. Tenían vigilancia por la noche.

Las obras a las 8 de la mañana, porque están haciendo reformas en el hotel (supongo que al ser temporada baja), que generan bastante ruido.

No pool in the facilites, however they have an agreement with the next hotel to use their pool for affordable amount of 5€ per person

Piscine pas directement dans l'établissement

This was our 4th day of our road trip and we stayed here for two nights. The staff were absolutely amazing! Janith, the manager, gave us a tour of the property and truly stood out – he's the pillar of this place, and we experienced great hospitality from him and the rest of the team. Shanka was also fantastic. My partner is lactose intolerant, and Chef Indasiri went above and beyond to prepare fresh coconut milk for us in the morning – such a thoughtful gesture! While we didn't catch everyone's names, every staff member we encountered was friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious, comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and well maintained. The property itself is beautiful and in a great location, close to the main attractions in Unawatuna.

We didn’t try the food as the menu didn’t appeal to our tastes, but everything else about our stay was excellent.

Camera molto ampia, bel bagno . Ben curato e pulito . Lo staff gentilissimo e disponibile . La posizione è ottimo , a due passi dalla spiaggia , basta attraversare la strada ! Colazione nella media .

Un po scomodo il letto ,troppo molle, anche i cuscini. Forse è questione di abitudine.
