A Casa do Governador

Os funcionários são extremamente simpáticos e atenciosos. Têm apenas disponibilidade para 12 quartos, o que permite que não esteja sobrelotado de pessoas e que se possa usufruir calmamente das duas piscinas. Situa-se no meio do campo e da vinha, o que permite um contacto próximo com a natureza mas a poucos minutos de carro da vila com serviços e restauração disponível.

Tudo estava impecável, desde o pequeno almoço variado ao quarto espaçoso e limpo e a maravilhosa piscina.

Sugestão: ter carregador para carros elétricos.

Chambre très agréable, climatisation bienvenue, grande salle de bain, piscines très agréables, large parking, proche d’Evora, personnel aux petits soins, petit dej copieux, nous nous sommes sentis comme à la maison. Seul bémol : literie un peu dure, mais reste très correcte.

O lugar é lindo, ótimo para descansar em silêncio, observar o céu estrelado a noite e caminhar, o serviço é cordial, quarto e banheiro muito bons, confortáveis e bem equipados, a área das piscinas é muito agradável.

Não há carregamento para carros elétricos, o layout do café da manhã é um pouco desconfortável por ser um local apertado e ser em uma mesa grande para todos, o café da manhã poderia ser um pouco melhor em apresentação e opções, não há toalhas e bebidas à disposição na área das piscinas.

Muito boa localização junto a Évora, mas fora do rebuliço da cidade. Fomos logo recebidos pelo staff super simpático e onde tenho de destacar o Sr. Manuel que de tudo fez para termos uma estadia memorável. A propriedade é lindíssima, nós ficámos na casa principal e não nas villas. O pequeno almoço é bom e os quartos confortáveis, as zonas das piscinas super agradáveis, até que alguns hospedes com menos educação tomem conta do espaço, e esta foi a razão por não dar 10/10. Apesar de saber que o staff pouco pode fazer para educar quem não teve a educação em casa, talvez uma webcam que permitisse observar comportamentos pouco aceitáveis, pudesse ajudar a monitorizar, e não passar o ónus para os hospedes , de terem que se incomodar entrando em diálogo com outros, ou lamentavelmente, como no nosso caso, simplesmente desistir do sossego que procurávamos e abandonar a área. Recomendo também provarem o vinho produzido na Herdade, sobretudo o branco de muito boa qualidade.

O facto de não haver ninguém na recepção ou staff visível, no período noturno, após as 22:00, faz com que exista uma noção de "auto-gestão" no período da noite. No meu caso tive hóspedes até de madrugada na rua, mas junto à janela do quarto em diálogo em voz alta, até que fosse à janela e pedir para se calarem.

Sem dúvida pelo fato de ser uma moradia senhorial, com história e belezas naturais, cercada de uma paisagem agrícola, com muitas árvores e passarinhos a cantarolar, tem duas piscinas em meio ao campo, imperdíveis para quem quer desfrutar o sol embaixo de uma sombra, a sentir os ventos quentes que assopram no Alentejo. A proximidade com Évora é também uma vantagem que deve ser explorada.

Wunderschönes Anwesen, tolles Zimmer und Einrichtung, familiäre Atmosphäre, super freundliches Personal. Wir haben hier während unserer Hochzeit geschlafen und könnten nicht glücklicher sein.

Gostámos de tudo de uma forma geral, a experiência, o sossego, as comodidades, as piscinas exteriores...tudo! Muito bem recebidos e acolhidos. Era tudo o que estávamos a precisar e fizemos a promessa de regressar sem dúvida. Obrigada

O que mais gostei foi da tranquilidade do espaço. Ideal para repousar a dois ou em familia. Pessoal muito atento às necessidades dos hóspedes.

Infelizmente, a boia dos autoclismo do quarto que escolhemos tinha um problema que não conseguiram solucionar a tempo da nossa chegada, tendo sido proposto outro quarto. Optamos por manter o mesmo quarto, o que obrigou a algum trabalho de ajustar a boia.

The bathroom was enormous and the size of the bedroom was fine. The staff was incredible. They prepared a wonderful breakfast every morning, cleaned the room flawlessly, and even did my laundry at no charge.

The chair they initially provided to work at the desk was very uncomfortable, but they found me a new, better one.

A casa é fantástica e o staff muito amável e prestável. Ambiente muito familiar. As áreas comuns são muito acolhedoras e fazem-nos sentir em casa.

O pequeno almoço podia ser ligeiramente mais rico, o espaço merece uma maior oferta. O quarto carecia do estilo e decoração que havia nas áreas comuns.

Tudo de acordo. Minha sugestão é que deveria ter um frigobar, para pelo menos ter uma água, e que possa ser armazenado algo necessário, no meu caso, insulina que deve estar em ambiente refrigerado. Mas o hotel me disponibilizou que guardasse na geladeira da cozinha do mesmo. Já fiquei em outra oportunidade, e o que tinha gostado muito, desta vez não foi possível, que era o funcionamento do serviço de janta.

Really great place to stay, just outside Evora. It is a short taxi ride in to the centre. The staff were super friendly and accomadation is really good, the room was excellent. It is a bit like staying in someone's home rather than a hotel and the grounds outside were also lovely.

Het was er heel rustig. We kregen een mooie kamer en het domein was heel mooi om in rond te wandelen. Aan het zwembad was het ook rustig. Het dorpje lag op tien minuten rijafstand.

Er was geen bar, maar ook geen minibar op de kamer. Aan het zwembad kon je niets drinken. Je kon er dus eigenlijk niets drinken. De bediening van het ontbijt was nogal onpersoonlijk. We konden er ‘s avonds niet dineren, omdat je dat bij het ontbijt moet laten weten, moeilijk als je er maar een nacht verblijft dan. We zijn dan maar naar het dorpje gereden. Weinig uitleg over bezienswaardigheden in de buurt of activiteiten op het domein. Bij het uitchecken werd ook niets meer gezegd of gevraagd.

Loved the 5 bedroom house. We had it to ourselves so could use the full kitchen and living area alone.

The place has a great deal with Charm. However, the sink needed to be recalled and had mold on it in the bathroom shower. There was mold and the TV did not connect so I could not watch anything. I think for the money it was more like a three star hotel

Zimmerservice bei der Preisklasse wäre wünschenswert.

Bij het ontbijt kon je kiezen hoe je eitje werd klaargemaakt. Er waren verschillende soorten confituur, vers fruit, broodjes, fijne charcuterie ... Het personeel maakte ons verblijf extra aangenaam: altijd met een glimlach en steeds bereid om te helpen. Bij aankomst kregen we een stukje geschiedenis van het gebouw mee, wat het geheel een bijzondere toets gaf. Onze kamer was ruim met een gezellige slaapkamer en een comfortabele badkamer. Kortom: een plek waar je je meteen welkom voelt.

Het linkse zwembad was niet helemaal proper: er lagen wat veren en beestjes in het water. Het andere zwembad was wel netjes, maar doordat het tussen de bomen ligt, was het water wat frisser.

Un domaine magnifique dans les vignes, les maisons sont décorées avec goût. Nous avons eu la chance de nous retrouver quasiement seul sur le domaine et de goûter leurs excellents vins. Très bon petit déjeuner, piscine magnifique et agréable

L’accueil exceptionnel de Manuel qui nous a guidé tout le long de notre séjour. La tranquillité des lieux en plein cœur de la campagne aux portes de la ville. La piscine pour se relaxer.

the two pools facility was fantastic in the heat of the Alentejo...the outdoor kitchen with wine fridge was a great help.

Lovely farm location just outside Evora, quiet with two pools. We were in a suite - beautifully decorated and very spacious. Very helpful and friendly staff; great breakfast.

Very quiet, good breakfast (amazing Croissants), and pool space were quite pleasant. The house was very well decorated and was nice and fresh. Bid and comfortable bed!

The outside lights were off, so at night it was difficult to walk around the property. The pathway to the pool is too "raw" we need to walk in the dirt.

Casa do Governador is a beautiful, peaceful place. Our room was massive and extremely comfortable! We stayed for a week and used it as a base to explore Alentejo/Lisbon and it worked perfectly.

There is nothing we did not like

The room was clean and spacious. The manager was very friendly and acomodating Breakfast was good, but limited.

The listing could have been more informative.Didn't realize it was , basically, a shared house. There were guests in other rooms who shared a common area and kitchen. It wasn't a problem, but we weren't aware of that from the listing.

The setting is gorgeous - the surrounding vineyard, pool, and well-documented Roman ruins made for an interesting and serene stay. The staff were very attentive and helpful, making sure they had breakfast ready for us before we left early for the airport. The room is lovely and the breakfast fresh and ample. The hotel is in the countryside but minutes away from Evora so easy to drive over for the day.

What ruined our last night in Portugal were the barking dogs that did not stop barking from 9 pm till 1 am and then started up again at 5 am. Given that we had to get up early for the drive to the airport, this was especially upsetting. I wrote the hotel and what I got back was an inadequate response that this is a neighbour's dog and there is no solution and, further, that one of the dogs belongs to the hotel. Why this dog, who actually barked the longest and woke us at 5, could not be kept indoors after 11 pm is baffling to me.

Idyllic setting. Close to centre but very country. The manager was very helpful and informative re the history of the property and advice on local restaurants.

Would have liked a fridge and coffee maker in the room. Had dinner one evening and we were somewhat disappointed compared to some local restaurants in the area.

a delightful surprise, the restored estate has large comfortable and lovely rooms, grounds to wander on and pools to enjoy. we were actually concerned as it's a bit from town but the peace and tranquility is worth a 10 minute drive. absolutely amazing experience and we will be back

This is a beautiful property with wonderful staff and accommodations. It is close to Évora but removed enough for peace and quiet. Highly recommend!

This little hotel was a gem, perfectly located just minutes from the city but in a wonderful countryside location. Everything was wonderful. A great base for exploration and wine tasting. It felt like the “real Portugal."

The surroundings are just astonishing. I liked to walk in the park, past vineyards, olive trees, the little lake, seeing rabbits run through the lane, and the horse:)

Very cosy and spacious country manor turned into a hotel. Wonderful common areas to sit around and watch TV or read a book. The cook provided breakfast and the manager on site was very friendly and knowledgeable about the property’s history.
