All went well. Excellent location. Parking rebate of great value. The pub/club noise was minimal ( we were advised of this before booking). Lovely spot, good breakfast offered too.

Excellent location. The room and bathroom were very clean.

Lighting in the room was very poor. There were two wall lights and two lamps but no ceiling lights. Shower head needs descaling and tile grouting needs to be redone in places. the corridors were very dark. Need better lighting throughout. There was a smell of stale cigarettes throughout.

The shower was absolutely scalding hot, not safe for anyone to actually use. They did fix this when we went down after trying to ring reception from the room for 20 minutes however the guy was not very apologetic and said “ugh this happens a lot leave it with me” The ceiling also seemed to have some water damage in our room.

Tony and the restaurant manager on Sunday morning were wonderful and very accommodating.

Could've used 4 pillows instead of 2 on the bed and we only had one hand towel for the entire stay. We mentioned it once but arrived back late and didn't know who to contact at that hour.

Location was good, breakfast was not too bad, staff was lovely, comfortable and huge bed. People complain about noise, but before you’re coming - you read reviews, and in our case - on booking it’s clearly marked. If I want to sleep - I will sleep, so it wasn’t a problem for us. We also had some tea/coffee, sparkling and still water in the room. Our bed was made everyday, and towels were changed daily as well.

Shower room was tiny, water was quite hot, when we’ve tried to contact property before the arrival - no response, no answer. TV didn’t have any Netflix/youtube etc. It was almost 200€ per night, so I would say some things could be improved. Room in general was quite old, and also not enough lighting.

Staff was fantastic. Lift was broken and they all brought all the luggage all the way up to the room while we were parking the car. Fantastic service.

We requested a quiet room for the baby. Unfortunately they gave us the that was furthest away from reception. Lift was broken and had to go up 2 flights of stairs, down a corridor, up 1 more floor up a narrow turn, all the way to the end of the second corridor, and the door that's most far away. Unfortunately, despite this, the room was right in front of the nightclub behind the hotel, which meant it wasn't quiet. It was a known thing because the room had green single use earplugs for the nightclub noise and rowdy people. Hard to believe that this was the quietest room. But it sure was the most difficult to reach with 5 pieces of luggage and one baby buggy. The earplugs did work, for us adults, no noise once you put them inside the ear, but the baby didn't have earplugs, so sleeping was most difficult. Hard to bathe baby since it has a standing shower instead of a bath. Didn't have non slip mat for the shower, which caused a couple of slipping incidents.

The location is good. I met 3 members of the staff, the night guy was quite nice, the other two, nothing special nothing bad. The bed is comfortable enough.

The room was small, there was space just for the bed and a little desk under the table, if I had a "20kg" suitcase I doubt I would have had space to open it. The shower was quite dirty (I avoided having a shower just in case), the paint in the wall was unfinished/it felt... The room was extremely hot and noisy. The heat forced us to open the window which increased the noise coming from the street. They provide earplugs, which is not an acceptable solution when proper windows and AC exist in 2026.

I had a super late check in due to my flight getting delayed, but was able to get in the venue as the staff was really accommodating with the situation.

The design of the hotel is lovely, it's so beautiful! The garden bar is amazing. Love all the areas on the first floor that you can lounge.

The room was extremely small, the photos make it look a bit bigger. It was fine, just pretty cramped with nowhere to put luggage.

The hotel rooms and hallways could do with a bit of a revamp, rooms are a bit noisy due to outside noise, lifts weren’t working, toilet in our room was difficult to flush. Tv in the room but no active channels except the radio It’s a shame cause the hotel has great potential

Central location, generous breakfast

HBD advertise facilities include a restaurant and lounge bar. Arrived for one night stay and there was no access to restaurant or lounge bar on day of arrival due a private outside event being held on premises. Offered an apology on check out but surely not acceptable. Maybe brighten dark corridors and rooms with a lick of light coloured paint?

Our room was in an attic- lift was out of order, had to climb 3 flights of dark , narrow stairs to get to it. Zero storage in the room, not even a space, other than the floor, to put a hairbrush. TV didn’t work -2 hangers on a wall in the bedroom for a wardrobe. No water at all in hot tap in bathroom sink. No hot water in shower, Nespresso machine in the room, no coffee pods, stains on the bedside locker and lamps- no staff at ‘reception’ on checkout

Ce n’est pas mentionné dans l’annonce que le petit-déjeuner n’ouvre qu’à 9h30 le dimanche. À préciser pour ne pas être surpris si on souhaite partir tôt le dimanche matin. La partie véranda n’est pas accessible pour le petit déjeuner le matin lorsque la zone est privatisée la veille.

The location and breakfast (top quality). Staff at breakfast were brilliant but staff at check in were poor.

The room was very small and the bathroom and shower tiny. Late at night staff kept banging doors which made the walls shudder. Seemed to be moving between their quarters and another room. Annoying and kept us awake.

There wasn't anything really, maybe brighten up the rooms and corridors with brighter colours -but I appreciate in an old Georgian building there is only so much you can do. Parking is not exactly close, and expensive, but that's the reality of Dublin City Centre

Staff , food and drinks were all vert good. Bit pricey but for the quality of the food and drink I would say its worth it. Location was also very well placed.

The rooms wasn't great, grim stains on carpet chairs and backboard of bed. Room was a touch too cold and the bathroom had a strong smell of cigarettes during the night possibly coming from the vent.

Maybe not the best hotel room I have ever seen, but the restaurant and the staff made everything pleasant and amazing.

The room: really small, no frames on the walls, plus I asked for the bath instead of the shower and I didn't find it.

Staff were excellent, so helpful and friendly. Location was central. Breakfast included was beautiful. Room was cozy and clean. I thought it was great value for money. No noise issues whatsoever the earplugs given in the room were great. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

Locatie op loopafstand van centrum. Letterlijk een warm ontvangst met een open haard aan. Rook heerlijk bij het binnenkomen en zeer aangenaam, aangezien het buiten koud en nat was. We konden koffie en thee zetten op kamer en dagelijks 2 flesjes water aanwezig, top.

Het was koud op de kamer en het duurde lang voordat het een beetje aangenaam was. Jammer.

The location was ideal for what I was needing it for. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Room was basic but clean and comfortable.

The only thing I didnt like was the noise level but the hotel did provide earplugs so kudos on that. Parking was hard to find but a member of staff helped me with that.

We got room number 15. The moment we got inside, we thought that it was odd to see ear plugs by the bed, but we didn’t think so much of it. At night we found out that ear plugs were not of much use, because the noise level from the party downstairs was unacceptable. Actually, it should be illegal. This was one of the worst nights ever. We left the hotel completely tired and we’ll never come back. Your money will go straight to the toilet staying there.

Läget var bra. Personalen framförallt i restaurangen är supertrevligt.

Det luktade så starkt rök i restaurangen pga den öppna kaminen. Hade konstant ont i huvudet. Vill du sova något fredag och lördag så är det fel ställe. Restaurangen har en nattklubb. Det var mina värsta 2 nätter helt utan sömn. Öronproppar hjälpte ingenting. Alltså det är riktigt högljutt. Utanför kommer och går folk till klubben så det skriks osv. Kommer man dit sön - torsdag är det nog ok.

Room was great, I stayed here on a Sunday and had no issues with noise and had a great nights sleep. The bed was really comfy, although you only get two pillows they're quite big so I didnt have an issue. Can tell they listen to reviews, with shower cap provided if you want to use the rainfall shower even though there was a normal shower head there too. Overall a really pleasant stay and would definitely book the junior suite again. Location is really convenient with bus stops and st stephens greene at your doorstep. Staying here in December was nice, christmas decor and coming in the door felt like meeting the warmth of a fireplace.

Il soggiorno purtroppo è stato disturbato dall'eccessiva confusione. Le serate organizzate regolarmente in hotel rendono difficile il riposo notturno; in particolare, l'ultima notte siamo state svegliate per ben quattro volte dall'allarme antincendio scattato a causa della festa al piano inferiore. Avremmo gradito anche un po' più di comprensione e disponibilità da parte dello staff nel gestire questa situazione e un'altra richiesta.

Lack of ironboard but I made do just fine. Oh the shower pressure was really bad actually. Once it heated up the pressure disappeared.

The nightclub was very noisy but I didn't mind at all. The hotel interior was very nice, as was the lounge and resteraunt.

We had a junior suite which was very spacious. Room was very clean, all facilities worked well. The bar closed a little early which was disappointing as we arrived back from the Concert Hall at 10.30 to find it closed. As we had passed a few places to finish off here, it was disappointing to have to go out again. Breakfast was excellent and the staff on duty were as always, very friendly and professional. We love coming here.

DEVE essere evidenziato che la struttura prevede una discoteca,attiva nel fine settimana e che il rumore e la musica ,molto alti,disturberanno il sonno. Non siamo riusciti a dormire fino 2.30/3.00 del mattino. La camera è pulita,il bar/ristorante è carino,ma le parti scale/corridoio dell'albergo sono pervase dal fetore della moquette non esattamente pulita.

Breakfast was at 8 am. So I missed it due to an appointment at 9. Given a quiet room but the loud music kept going till 11:30.

Extremely Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the Money I stayed at your property on a Thursday night for a business trip, where a restful night’s sleep was my top priority. Unfortunately, my experience was so poor that I feel compelled to share the details, as it’s clear the owners have never spent a night in these rooms themselves. 1. False Promises and Ignored Requests From the outset, I explicitely requested a quiet room—both when booking and again upon arrival. This was not a casual preference; it was a necessity for my work commitments the following morning. Yet, I was placed in Room 22, which had a broken window facing a busy main road, making sleep impossible due to traffic noise. When I complained, I was moved to Room 33—only to discover another faulty window, this time facing the bar and garden area. 2. Unacceptable Noise Levels There was no warning about the late-night bar and DJ, which blared music until 2:30 AM. At 2:00 AM, a loud alarm (similar to a smoke alarm) went off briefly, adding to the chaos. Even after the music stopped, the whistling from the faulty window (thanks to strong winds) ensured I didn’t sleep a wink. The bed was uncomfortably firm, and the phone in the room kept rebooting, its bright screen lighting up the room repeatedly. 3. Basic Maintenance Would Solve These Issues This isn’t about luxury—it’s about basic functionality. Proper soundproofing, fixing broken windows, and ensuring room phones don’t malfunction are simple, essential fixes. The fact that these issues persist suggests a lack of care for guests’ comfort. 4. No Accountability or Transparency At check-out, there was no staff present to address my complaints—not that it would have mattered. The problems were so glaring that any apology would ring hollow without tangible changes. While earplugs were provided, they were useless against the relentless noise. There was no warning anywhere that this property is unsuitable for guests who need a peaceful night’s sleep.

Location and decor for Christmas.

Room was freezing, with the old heater taking hours to heat the room. No answer from front desk when rang at 8pm. Coffee machine was faulty. Room was scruffy, paint chipped around doors and walls. Dirt on the bathroom wall. Shower looked grimy with the old stained grout. Stayed on the 1st floor, the emergency exit on this floor was open to the back entrance the entire time which felt unsafe. Overall, seemed understaffed on arrival and at breakfast.

Your menu was lovely. My room was clean and the bed comfy. The staff were very nice and apologetic where needed and made amendments. I ate a starter and breakfast it was very nice. It was a good location for what I needed. Nice touch with the ear plugs and the water in the room.

The stairs leading to my room a bit dated and need refreshing The room was a little small but good for the cost. The alarm went off 5 times on my stay. It made me concern and anxious. I didn't sleep very well after that. The coffee machine and phone didn't work in my room I did inform the male receptionist, unfortunately it didn't get sorted.

Loved the woman on check in she was exceptional the staff were friendly and it felt very safe
