Well located. Spacious rooms with basic amenities provided. There’s a café on the ground floor with decent variety which is convenient.
Would have been good to have a lift but the staff was available to transport luggage. Bathroom was a little run down
Good rooms, nice staff
Food qualitiy
The Queen studio I booked here had a malfunctioning Airconditioning unit, so they placed me at one of their other hotel rooms around a 5 minute walk down the street. This room was definitely less nice, with less facilities, no rooftop, no breakfast. And the staff did not apologize or offer me some of my money back. I think this was ill-handled by them.
Wonderful hostel, well managed and friendly super helpful staff, room was excellent and I really enjoyed the restaurant, which was a great work space and peacful environment, good to escape from the busy street outside....Hauz Khas has a kind of party vibe to it which might not be to everyone's taste, but the Deer park and lake are beautiful and a real bonus for morning walk and yoga , outside gym activities
Only down side is the location is isolated from the metro and main shopping centres...so you have to catch a tuktuk every time....but I got used to it..
Friendly staff, great food, spacious room and great location
Nothing
No variety in breakfast items. Everyday same fixed items. Location of hotel definitely found very uncomfortable due to clubs located surroundings. This is very uncomfortable for taking families.there. No any good hotel nearby . No facility for lunch/dinner at the hotel. Main road is far away. Very embarassing and uncomfortable situation with families. Outside scenario is not at all healthy particularly on Friday Saturday and Sunday. Traffic getting jammed..
I was allowed early check in n late check out. I was also given a room upgrade. Nayeem n Preeti were very helpful. One call to them n my requirements were taken care of. Gautam , the boy at the property, was very polite n helpful. He helped me with my zomato deliveries too. I had a very comfortable stay.
I had to ask for the kettle, cups, milk sachets.... It was not kept ready in the room. There was no TV in the room which is the bàsic thing. So on hot Delhi afternoons when you are indoors , there was no entertainment in the room.
Room size and design, Bed, Wifi
Warm welcome from staff, especially Preeti who offered me a room upgrade and breakfast which was unexpected. She also helped me get a taxi on departure. Fantastic location with a great vibe and plenty of cafes and galleries in short proximity. Enjoyed being able to walk to the lake and visit the Hauz Khas Complex. Hotel is spacious and quiet.
The view from my room of the enormous rubbish pit in the land below was sad, but this is in no way related to the hotel itself
Though i booked a queen’s room Preeti was kind enough to upgrade it to a suite ! Room was very spacious and clean.
Bathrooms can be better
Wonderful experience and staff thank you so much
Location, staff and size of the room
Really liked the location of the place, the staff is really helpful. Had a wonderful stay
Terrible service. In fact a refund of around Rs 1400 was just not returned by the manager. He stopped answering the calls. Room level has no safety or fire exits or measures. Hot as hell with an ill equipped AC in Delhi summers. Stay away from this property
We really enjoyed our stay at minimalist. The location is brilliant, the rooms are nice and the cafe is good. All the staff were all friendly and helpful but a special thanks to Preeti who was constantly smiling and going above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience. We liked minimalist so much that we extended our stay, definitely recommend!!
General vibe was nice
We stayed at both Minimalist properties in New Delhi, but Minimalist One was definitely our favorite — for several reasons. Located in the heart of Hauz Khas Village, it offered the perfect laid-back atmosphere with surprisingly fresh air and a peaceful vibe. While the pictures online are not 100% accurate, the property still offers amazing value for money. In fact, when we returned to Delhi, we didn’t even consider staying anywhere else! What truly made our stay exceptional, though, was Preeti — she is the heart and soul of this place. No matter the situation, whether handling a power outage or helping the staff serve breakfast quickly and efficiently, she always remained calm, professional, and welcoming. She genuinely made us feel at home and even helped us with a few extra services that saved us a lot of time during our trip. People say you meet twice in life, and I really hope that’s true. Hopefully see you again in 2028 🤞
The duration of our stay. Could live there and work for a month!
the room was pretty clean
Good location. Caring staff. At a reasonable distance from the Airport and rly station
There is no lift so inconvenient for senior citizens and the persons with special needs. Lane leading to the place is narrow and congested.
Absolutely loved the location. The staff is super sweet and welcoming, while the room is quite spacious. The hotel is also in the main vicinity of Hauz Khas which is bustling and getting around is quite easy as well. Must recommend for travellers who want to stay closer to the city center.
The location and overall experience was nice.
Room is massive. Good air-con & comfy bed.
Asked several times for them to refill shampoo/shower gel as they were empty, they said they would and never did. Shower wasn’t working one morning too. Breakfast I didn’t get because timing.
New Delhi is a crazy place when you arrive at the Minimalist you are welcomed with a calm atmosphere. It is like stepping into an oasis. The staff are friendly and always tried to help with anything we asked of them.
everything Breakfast is fantastic as is the general food menu
nothing
The view and the huge rooms
everything, breakfast is great, as is the general menu
nothing
Modern and spacious rooms
Surrounding isn’t clean, washroom cleanliness is an issue too
w when we arrived, the lady at reception was incredibly helpful
no reception sign outside
The room was clean and comfortable. All the appliances- tv, mini fridge, ac worked well. The bathroom was clean and tidy. The staff were friendly and helpful.
One small note would be that the bed was creaky.
They let me pay 3x and after 2 months I have not received any compensation.
Location is nice. Gray restaurant.
But area outside is smelly. Sewage water attracting flies. AC didn’t work.
Vriendelijk personeel.
De prijzen voor wassen zijn buitensporig hoog.
Very friendly staff. Good location with beautiful views of trees and birds.
Nice cafe downstairs, nice bed and clean linen
The room door was not closing well, bathroom is outdated
Excellent value for money. Very comfy bed. After getting food poisoning they let me stay an extra night and gave me free rehydration salts. Legendary performance!
The room was very spacious, and well appointed. Comfortable bed. Powerful shower with plenty of hot water. Kettle with tea and coffee. The breakfast choice was nice. Classic Indian dishes, and continental, with unlimited masala tea, coffee, fruit juice, and toast. They have a nice dinner menu too. Preeti, and her staff were very welcoming, and helpful. This is the second stay here, and won't be the last. Its well positioned for the bohemian quarter, and local parks. Highly recommend.
The windows leaked a little rain, although it was a severe thunderstorm. There is also an unsightly amount of rubbish on the view out of the forest view windows, although I'm not sure what the hotel could do about that, it's not their rubbish.
The staff was exceptionally hospitable and helpful. I would especially like to commend Preeti from the front desk who went out of her way to be accommodating. The other front desk staff were also excellent at their Job. Preeti, while quickly understanding what we needed, also volunteered to be a guide for one of the guests and took her around to show the sights of Delhi, which took the service to a level far above the rest.
The initial interaction with the hotel was not very encouraging, because they didn't accept payment through booking.com, and separate arrangements had to be made to transfer money. We also didn't expect to walk quite a distance to the hotel as public vehicles are not allowed inside the Village. The hotel was also difficult to find but once we were inside everything else seems to work like clock work

The bedroom was ok. I got upgraded, and it was much better than the original King suite I booked but still not great.
The shower barely worked, there was loud banging noises all night, almost like someone was dragging a chair across the floor all evening.
I’ve stayed at The Minimalist One a couple of times now, and I can honestly say it’s my favourite place to stay in Delhi. There’s something very special about this place, especially the room I stayed in. This hotel stands out as one of the most memorable places I’ve ever experienced when it comes to hotels or accommodation. What makes it even more unique is the atmosphere: it somehow makes you feel like the perfect guest, which still makes me smile as I write this. The staff are incredibly kind, friendly, and genuinely helpful. You feel truly welcomed and taken care of. Whenever I come back to Delhi, this is the place I want to return to. If you’re visiting the city, don’t miss The Minimalist One in Hauz Khas Village.
Breakfast is awesome. I requested room service for my parents as it was difficult for them to go downstairs. Room is big enough for four people. We had a beautiful terrace just adjacent to our room. Location is great. Just beside the Hauz khas village. I must mention the staff services. They are always ready to help. I thank Nayeem, Preeti and others for that.
I was traveling with my aged parents. We booked a room for four people. It is on the 4th floor and unfortunately there is no lift. It was a really bad experience for people with knee problems. Our room was also not as clean as my expectations. I felt the property needs some renovations. There is no holder where clothes can be kept inside the bathroom. Also a problem with one ac. Though the location is excellent for visiting the Hauz khas village, when we arrived we needed to walk around 10-15mins from the parking lot to reach the hotel. So I suggest everyone to contact the property because they arrange pick up and drop up from the parking.
Amazing staff, great coffee downstairs and breakfast included.
Gute Lage. Hostel stilvoll gestaltet vor 20 Jahren. Freundliches Personal.
Zustand leider runtergekommen und ungepflegt. Instandhaltung schlecht.
We loved our stay at minimalist one. Very welcoming, very well located, very well kept.
Peaceful, best place in delhi.
Place is dirty.worn out and in need of paint and repairs. Cleaning staff quit en masse while we were there and we were expected to excuse the state of cleanliness on that basis! Filthy.leaking toilet in the lobby leading into restaurant that never had paper and nothing to dry your hands with. Website photos are misleading...must have been taken 20 years ago. Plate with food left on floor of hallway for 2 days on 3rd floor was only removed when we brought it down to the lobby. In summary, the place is a disaster and needs a visit from the health inspector.
Location was brilliant! Short walk to bars, restaurants, the lake and Deer Park.
Facilities were a bit dated but the hotel had a really nice vibe.
The stuff was very very helpful. They were very attentive and responsive towards everything we asked for. From a lost phone in a late night Uber drive all the way to specific dietary needs they did exemptional job while we were their guests. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was very tasty. For the usual New Delhi hotel standards it truly stands out. Could recommend this place to anyone planning a trip to New Delhi.
The street is quite busy at night and every morning you can very clearly hear the praying from a nearby minaret which was rather annoying
Location was exceptional! The staff was very helpful and the rooms comfortable.
It was a bit of a trek to get from the primary entrance to the Hauz Kaz neighborhood to the hotel. Due to street congestion, our uber driver could not bring us in - line r pick us up in front of the hotel. If you don’t mind a short two-block walk, it’s well worth it!
The room was spacious and nice, the breakfast was sumptuous Loved Preeti at reception - she was warm, friendly and was super helpful
a bit of dirt on the stairsa nd the way to the rooms
The location is close to the downtown area and within walking distance of many places. There are also good food options nearby. The room had a great view from the penthouse, and the breakfast was excellent—the café is conveniently located just downstairs. I had a great experience and will definitely be visiting again soon.
It is not the property fault but the cab couldnt get in over the weekend.
Staff were great. Preeti, in particular, was exceptional in her help, advice and patience in answering our many questions
Property, a little tired and in need of TLC. Great location.
Simple well designed rooms, comfy beds, and staff were so friendly and helpful. I was unwell for the first part of the stay and they went above and beyond for us
Hot water ran out quite quickly
Ok story time: I was in Delhi for a wedding and needed a quick overnighter. It couldn’t have gone smoother. They got my room ready two hours early, I had time to store my bags and eat. I’m especially grateful to Preeti who was not only radiant and friendly but who went above and beyond. This was my first time wearing a lehenga and obviously didn’t know what I was doing. I called the front desk to ask about their shuttle service and tried my luck to see if I could get her advice. This woman ran up the stairs, assessed my situation and went to a store nearby to get clothes pins. She helped me secure 8 different spots on my outfit and gave me 3 options to drape my dupatta. We chatted for a bit and I was very sad to say goodbye the next day. If you have a chance to stay at the Minimalist, it’s an adorable quaint hotel with interesting people worth running into at the café downstairs. The terrace also has a beautiful view. And I will always remember what Preeti did for me and how much of a difference it made at the wedding.
Breakfast was simple and pleasant - unfortunately the coffee machine was not working during our stay so we couldnt try their coffee. Rooms were great sizes and bathrooms too were great sizes. Felt safe and welcoming - reception and bellhop staff were VERY prompt and helpful. Good selection of teas in the room which was really nice after a long drive into Delhi. Mt friends booked a larger suite - so glad too as it had lots of space to sit, pack suitcases and move around - great room.
My bedroom needed to be aired out - so I had to open front door and the windows as it had a musty smokey smell for ages so opened everything while I was unpacking. But the scent went away after 1 hour of airing out so wasnt a big issue there after tbh. My friends much larger suite - no issues at all .
Hotel picked us up from airport and checked us in very early in the morning. Good location right beside the lake, which is such a nice spot to escape the madness. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the morning was great before big day trips
The staff were very friendly, the room was comfortable, and the rooftop is very peaceful and a nice place to watch the sunset!
The Deco! Breakfast! Preeti is an exceptional hotel host !
The 50% upfront payment through a link. Too stressful ! In the end the hotel agreed for me to pay on arrival. Also one night there was a party upstairs and people moving furniture at 4 am . Management should look into it. Not the end of the world .
The property had a nice minimalist design and a relaxed atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful, and overall the stay felt comfortable and convenient for a short visit.
Since it is located in a busy area and narrow streets, It difficult to uber all the way to property and sometime luggage needs to carried but nothing that seriously affected the stay
The double room we booked was huge , and with a beautiful rooftop upstairs! They had a great restaurant downstairs with lovely food . Would highly recommend to stay here, also worth it to see the buzzing village and beautiful lake only a minute away.
The facilities could need some extra love and maintenance , but everything worked well !
I liked thd coffee shop, which was a welcoming place and it was clean. Food was nice, so was coffee. The staff was also very pleasant. The staff at the hotel was very nice, I have to praise Preeti for having been particularly helpful and accommodating.
The hotel location isnt great. It is difficult getting a cab...mostly you need to walk to get a cab away from the hotel. I really didnt like the room. It wasn't that clean and it was very misty. The pillow covers were marked with blackout tint...not that clean. The room was on thd first floor, close to the road, the noise was annoying and I barely slept. The bathroom' door wasnt closing and I had to use my luggage to close it. While the staff is nice, the hotel needs a revamp, a thorough clean and better maintenance.
