Dragonfly Village

Le lieu est magnifique ! Entouré de végétation, avec un petit cours d'eau avec des poissons, varan,... La chambre est belle, spacieuse, bien équipée, dans son ecrin de verdure. Le personnel est adorable ! Les femmes à la réception ont même retenu mon prénom (pourtant bien difficile à prononcer pour des personnes non francophones). Le plus : proche du centre d'Ubud (15min à pied) mais au calme!

Mitten in den Reisfeldern in einen wunderschönen Garten eingebettet sehr ruhig gelegen und trotzdem ist man in ca. 20 Minuten fußläufig mitten in Ubud. Man kommt nicht mit dem Auto zur Unterkunft sondern wird an der Hauptstraße vom Personal mit Scootern inkl. Gepäck abgeholt und zur Unterkunft gebracht. Wunderbare Naturgeräusche und Glühwürmchen in den benachbarten Reisfeldern fernab vom trubeligen Ubud. Unglaublich freundliches, hilfsbereites und liebes Personal. Leckeres Frühstück und tolle Herbal-Steam-Sauna, die mehrmals die Woche mit Lagerfeuer stattfindet.

Das Moskitonetz könnte etwas größer sein, damit keine Lücken entstehen. Aber es gibt natürliches Repellent im Zimmer, das sehr gut gewirkt hat.

Super séjour au Dragonfly village. Notre petite cabane était très jolie avec vue sur les rizières. L’hôtel est bien situé à 15 minutes à pied du centre d’Ubud tout en étant au calme. Piscine agréable, soirées sauna avec feu de camp et bon petit déjeuner. Le personnel est adorable et prêt à vous aider, notamment pour la location d’un scooter.

C’est du détail mais les jus du petit-déjeuner pourraient être améliorés. Nous les avons trouvés moins bons qu’ailleurs.

The place was so calm and beautiful, the staff were amazing, lovely and welcoming. The food was so delicious healthy and rich.

Relaxing, peaceful accommodation with good breakfast. Loved the semi outdoor bathroom and timber hut 'Papaya' that we stayed in. Appreciated the filtered water provided. Friendly staff. Beautiful walk to accommodation from town (but you do have to share the narrow path with scooters which can feel a little intimidating if you are not used to it). Enjoyed a herbal sauna night with music around a fire. Can walk all the way to Pyramids of Chi.

L'emplacement dans les rizières au top, a 15 min de marche du centre et pas accessible en voiture, mais l'hôtel vient vous récupérer en sccoter avec vos bagages a n'importe quelle heure si vous les prevenez. Personnel au top! Un havre de paix ou lon voit des lucioles tous les jours. Piscine, sauna, parfait pour se détendre de la ville!

Petit dej vege pour ceux qui veullent de la viande ce n'est pas le bon endroit. Mais tres bien!chambre un peu sombre mais tres confort et a la balinaise!Pas de frigo dans les chambres.

This quiet little sanctuary is perfect if you’re wanting to slow down and truly disconnect from the real world. The location is excellent as it’s in rice fields but still walkable to get to the main street. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was staying in a little fairy cottage. The staff were excellent, the included breakfast was lovely (including cuddles from resident cat, Caramel) and the facilities were great. It was easy to organise to have my laundry done and organise any activities I wanted to do during my stay. When I had a night time flight, they happily extended my stay at a discounted rate so I could check out in the evening.

My cabin was very dark, making it difficult for me to see but I understand that would help to keep the place cool as there’s no AC. There were also lots of mosquitoes and other bugs around, but repellent was provided which was useful — but if you don’t like bugs I wouldn’t recommend this place as the bathrooms are all outside.

Friendly, rustic guesthouse with pretty gardens, overlooking rice terraces, and with a communal pool, hidden just a short distance away from the hustle and bustle of central Ubud. Delicious and generous breakfast, with responsive, welcoming and helpful staff.

Like a lot of Indonesian guesthouses, the property has many gaps, air holes and openings so you have to expect a certain amount of insect activity, especially in the bathrooms. The room did include mosquito nets on the beds, but was a little dark.

Un emplacement à l'écart de l'agitation d'Ubud, que l'on retrouve cependant en 15-20min à pied (pensez à prendre vos lampes frontales la nuit !). Environnement luxuriant et dépaysant, le personnel est au petit soin et vous trouverez tout ce dont vous aurez besoin : bungalow parsemé dans le domaine avec un chemin de pierre pour vous y mener et traverser des petits ponts au-dessus de plans d'eau où vous découvrirez des poissons, grenouilles et libellules ! Service de pressing, massage, restauration, petite boutique sur place. Le personnel qui vous aide à amener vos bagages depuis la route principale est bienvenu et nécessaire, car le chemin emprunté pour y arriver est assez étroit et partagé avec les scooters dans les 2 sens. Les chambres sont dans la tradition balinaise, sobre en termes d'équipements. Douche et toilette extérieure à l'ombre des bananiers ! La nourriture proposée et totalement végétarienne mais avec une bonne variété de plats et de boissons (sans alcool, mais on vous autorise à en ramener). Nous y avons passé 3 nuits en famille et sommes ravis de cette expérience !

Le chemin partagé avec les scooters, un peu stressant avec des enfants.

Établissement à deux pas du centre-ville, cadre calme et verdoyant, charmante petite cabane, bon petit déjeuner et le personnel est au top.

The hotel is in the centre but surrounded by ricefields and quietness. The food is good, staff very helpful for everything (including bringing luggages by scooter to the main road), and a welcoming cafe cat. The houses are cozy, with a slight retro feeling. Laundry service very good. We didn’t use the sauna and the pool but they looked very nice! Some previous reviews were reporting few light for reading in the night but they added little bed lamps :)

Toilet in open air feels nice but may need a little more cleaning. For us it was not a problem, but due to the ricefields position the place is a bit humid. Consider you are in the open nature.

I loved this accomodation, the herbal sauna, the staff (Riri was really friendly!), the other guests are awesome, they have live instruments to play with too some nights.

The room was a cute bungalow in a beautiful garden next to the rice fields, where at night, you could see fireflies. Although it was in Ubud, the place was very quiet and away from the normal business of the city. Our kids really enjoyed staying there. The staff was very attentive and helpful. The vegetarian/vegan breakfast was surprisingly good (including their sourdough bread).

There wasn't much we didn't like. If anything, in our room, the internet was not so strong at times.

It’s location, right by downtown Ubud yet in the middle of the jungle. The owner is really sweet and makes sure everyone feels at home. I loved the Saturday night sauna evening with music.

The restaurant menu is mostly vegetarian, which didn’t fit our family dietary needs. But otherwise it’s good.

La struttura è immersa nel verde ed è estremamente naturale… colazione con vista splendida, personale estremamente gentile, fuori dal caos di Ubud. Davvero consigliato ❤️

Lovely location among the rice paddies, a nice 10-15 minute walk from town.

We really liked that is was a bit away from the busy center of Ubud. We often took a motorbike taxi to Dragon Village as the kids loved that so much but walking was also nice. You feel a bit more connected to nature in Dragonfly. We loved the staff, all of them; from the baggage pick up boys, the reception girls, the cafe staff, the gardening people. They were really loving and friendly. Special thanks to Devi, Ayu and Imro for their care and smiles. The breakfast pancakes were the best.

Nothing, we loved it. The bungalows are more plain, basic and no airco only a fan but for us it was really nicer than the beautiful hotels we have been to. The kids loved it as well. Also the salt water swimming pool was nice as I can’t go in chlorine water with my skin.

Ein Garten, wie aus dem Märchen und unfassbar nette Mitarbeiter, die sich um alles kümmern. Es ist uns selten so schwer gefallen, weiter zu reisen. Man kann in zehn Minuten zu Fuß nach Ubud laufen.

Great location and good breakfast

The accommodation is little more than glamping. It literally rained on us in the middle of the night a the roof leaked. Windows don’t seal so there’s no way to keep mosquitoes out and the shower is tepid at best, never hot. For that level of pricing, I was expecting a lot more

Booking annonce " navette gratuite depuis l'aéroport ". Or, pas gratuit du tout. Nous avons payé le payé le transport à 2 reprises. J'attends vos explications...

J ai adoré le charme de l etablissement, le jardin incroyable et tres bien entretenu, le calme, la piscine, le bungalow, la salle de bain originale, les petits dejeuners fabuleux, le personnel aux petits soins . On se croirait au milieu d une jungle, c est si paisible et reposant, le depaysement est total. Le personnel est vraiment au top. Le sauna est ouvert 2 j par semaine, j ai beaucoup apprécié, avec le petit feu de camp a la fin. Les produits de la chambre sont top, l antimoustique, le savon.. j ai eu un souci d eau chaude, le personnel a reglé ca en 5 minutes chrono, rien a dire. Rien a dire non plus sur la propreté impeccable.

J ai retiré 1 etoile car je n ai pas du tout apprécié qu on me facture 600 000 IDR soit 30e car mon enfant avait fait pipi au lit le 1er soir car il etait perturbé du vol et du decalage horaire, sans aucune ouverture de négociation sur ce prix imposé de nulle part. je me suis sentie clairement raquettée et mon enfant a pleuré de honte, cela a gaché mon séjour. J aurais été d accord pour un extra mais pas autant. La facon de faire m a parue culpabilisante. J ai retiré une étoile pour le matelas qui n etait pas assez confortable. Et j ai retiré une 3e étoile pour le sentier qui a du potentiel de charme mais gaché par les scooters qui nous frolent. Quand on a le temps de flaner ca va. Mais quand on rentre la nuit ou qu on est pressé ou chargé, ce n est pas pratique pour rejoindre la rue principale. Ceci dit je me suis arrangee plusieurs fois avec des scooters pour me faire deposer 😉 Au niveau de la chambre , il m a juste manqué un peu de rangements pour les valises et habits, et le wifi vraiment tres mauvais

Amazing location in garden alongside rice fields, making it feel like it's in the middle of nowhere even though it's a short walk to one of the main streets. Also the staff are super-friendly, the best we found throughout our stay in Bali.

Room internet could have been stronger

I love the whole feel of Dragonfly Village. The timber joglo rooms, the semi outdoor bathroom, the beautiful garden setting and the friendly staff.

The hotel rooms are very rustic with its own ecosystem. Best for somebody looking for a quiet, nature time after busy days exploring Bali. They also have Sauna and cold plunge sessions that are complimentary for the guests. The staff is very friendly and the food - especially their breakfast option and vegan icecreams are a treat.

While the hotel is centrally located, the last 0.7km are not accessible by car. Great for solo travellers because Grab Scooters are the only mode of transport that can be used in this stretch. However, not ideal for families with kids.

A lovely authentic rustic experience at Dragonfly. This is my 4th visit here and it never disappoints. The staff are warm and kind and nothing is too much trouble . The steam night with firepit and drumming was a bonus.....although I got ant bites on my leg . My fault cos I couldn't apply the bug spray.

A kettle in the room to make tea or coffee would be great . We did ask for one and it was provided.

We love dragonfly because …it’s such a fun and unique space. The location was beautiful amongst the rice fields. The design was amazing and the inclusive Sauna nights were super special. The food was so delicious,especially the vegi pizza!!! There was also an adorable little cat named Caramel. MEOW 😺

Perhaps it was a little bit dark in spaces at night (we were told to help protect the fireflies:) Can be lots of insects after the rain 🌧️ (but that’s just the tropics …

Really calming environment, space between huts, beautiful walk through the garden, delicious vegetarian breakfast, lovely accommodating staff. We stayed in the family villa which had 2 bunks and a king bed so there was lots of space for our family (2 adults, 4 kids). Partially outdoor bathrooms - lovely to be out in nature and away from the business of Ubud. Good pool & steam sauna open 3 nights a week.

There is no car access (part of its charm) but the walk to the hotel takes a good 15 minutes along a narrow gang, so training our little kids (3, 5 & 6) to stay out of motorbikes’ way and walk along the side was a challenge (a bit of a struggle is character building though so we were really happy to do it). It may just be prohibitive if you’re not able to hop on a scooter/ willing to walk to get in or out every day. The walk is beautiful with rice fields and a great range of restaurants all the way along.

Der Empfang war sehr herzlich. Der Gastgeber hat sich wirklich mühe gegeben dass man sich in der Unterkunft wohl fühlte. Das Frühstück konnte man von der Menükarte auswählen, dazu gabs noch einen frisch gepressten Fruchtsaft nach Wahl, einen Obstteteller sowie Kaffee oder Kräutertee dazu. Die Menükarte ist besonders für Vegis, Veganer oder Glutenintolerante ausgerichtet. Grossartiges Essen und der Service war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich! Das Dragonfly ist eine wunderschöne, gemütliche Unterkunft mit traumhaften Garten, Swimmingpool und mein Bungalow hatte einen tollen Blick auf die Reisfelder. Alles war sehr sauber und unkompliziert. Absolut ruhig gelegen. Die Lage und Landschaft war für mich ein absoluter Traum.

Die Unterkunft liegt etwa eine halbe Stunde zu Fuss vom Zentrum entfernt. Hat mich zwar nicht gestört, ich empfand es als sehr friedlich den schmalen Pfad entlang zu laufen zwischen den Reisfeldern und Palmen. Zudem ist eine Teilstrecke zur Unterkunft nur mit Scooter erreichbar. DIe Unterkunft bietet aber einen Schutteldienst bis zur Hauptstrasse.

Wunderschönes, stilvolles Ambiente mitten in einem üppigen Garten. Es ist ein Paradies.

Winderfull and organic setting within a rice field. No cars are allowed access and so the natural frequency of quiet and sounds of toads and animals going about their business is so relaxing. superb steam and fire. Great find! I am regular now:)

The place has a unique vibe, it’s not only a “stay the night” but an experience. Nature is present there 100% fireflies, Tokek, lizards, frogs - wonderful orchestra at night 😋 the breakfast fantastic ! And the staff really helpful with everything needed.

Personally, only that the sauna was a bit crowded and “silent”. As a guest I’d like to enjoy it and feel free to talk if pleased. As I traveled with family (4 people) it became a bit challenging to fit everyone’s comforts especially with no AC and the nature inside & the main road to the village is about 10 min walk so not everyone liked the extra hustle

Staff, place, facilities, pool, sauna, people coming over are really wonderful. I had a very beautiful stay in there, I felt home. Everyone was so nice with me, and the location is a paradise.

I found mouse poop in the room one night. But the staff really helped me, they cleaned the roof with disinfectant, they changed all the towels ans sheetd from the bed. They really were sorry about the situation.

Enorm mooie plek, midden in de natuur en op loopafstand van het centrum. Het paadje naar Dragonfly Village is erg leuk met verschillende eettentjes. Heerlijk plekje. Elke dag een schone kamer en het ontbijt is heerlijk. Door iedereen werden we vriendelijk ontvangen en de sauna was een pluspunt evenals de mogelijkheid om massages te boeken. We hebben genoten!

The breakfast was wonderful. We were happy with the breakfast selection as there was a large variety to choose from as well as the complimentary fruit and juice options. It was also very convenient to use the laundry service at the resort. The staff was welcoming and very friendly. They brought our luggage from the road to the Village and back to the road at the end of our stay. Since there’s no kitchen in each villa, we were able to store our cold food in their kitchen and they were kind enough to open coconuts for us that we got from our local friends.

We are sad that we didn’t have enough time to use sauna, pool and the massage service. Unfortunately because of our busy schedule we didn’t have the time. I have nothing negative to say about the Dragonfly Village.

Toute l'équipe est aux petits soins dans ce lieu incroyable. Au milieu de la nature nous logions dans des bungalows typiques confortables. Jolie piscine avec sauna. Accessible par un chemin pavé d'environ un kilomètre au milieu des rizières. Tout proche du centre-ville mais au calme. Restaurant vegan. Un Havre de paix. Une expérience hors du commun.

Echt een pareltje om het Balinese gevoel te ervaren. Op een 15 minuutjes wandelen van het centrum tussen de rijstvelden ligt deze fantastische oase aan rust. De sauna en het zwembad waren ook super. Alsook het ontbijt en het uiterst vriendelijke personeel maakte het compleet.

Airco op de kamer. Het is er echt wel heet en vochtig. Maar draagt weer bij tot de experience.

Das hauseigene Restaurant war sehr schön gelegen, man hatte eines Ausblick auf die Natur. Das Frühstück was sie angeboten haben war vielfältig uns sehr lecker. Das Personal war sehr nett. Es wurden Massagen angeboten.

In dem Zimmer gibt es keine Klimanlage und da in dem kleines Haus besondere Verzierungen ins Holz an die Wand geschnitzt wurden kamen somit Mücken rein. ( Hatten dagegen auch bestimmtes Spray gekauft). Die Dusche war Outdoor und in einer Badewanne ( war etwas niedrig)

Very nice and Bali feel hotel. Breakfast was good. The surrounding area was very pleasant and idyllic. We had the big house (Blue star or Blue moon). My wife really liked it and it was a great experience. No A/C but fans kept temperature pleasant- first night was best sleep I have had in some time. Quite area. Nice restaurant on site and also nearby (we ate at both and the one just north of the both on the walking/scooter trail was really nice). We enjoyed our stay

Only really drawback was that the hotel is not accessible by cars so you have to walk 700m and bags being transported by motorcycles. It is ok but we had some heavy showers during our stay- would not have been so nice to be caught in one of these to/from hotel. Again, it is minor but for some it may be an issue.

Gardens were exquisite, and the food (breakfast) very tasty with loads of variation.. staff are always willing to assist and please. My group of friends have all said that we want to go back.

El entorno es increíble. El café/restaurante que tienen es precioso y la comida que hacen está espectacular.

La llegada fue accidentada, pues no nos contestaban en ninguno de los canales de comunicación. Tuvimos que pagar a un chico que tenía una moto para que fuera a ver si estaba abierto el alojamiento. Se resolvió relativamente fácil, pero fue un gesto feo por parte del personal. El camino hasta el alojamiento no se puede hacer en coche, lo que dificulta el acceso, especialmente si viajas con niños pequeños, pues te pueden llevar en moto, pero los pequeños (aunque se hace) no deberían viajar en moto.

Cet endroit est un petit paradis! Havre de paix en pleine nature, animé par des gens incroyablement gentils , merci à tous et particulièrement à Ayu et Imra pour leur gentillesse et leurs sourires! Super petit déjeuner, chambre propre, rien à redire!

Amazing location, surrounded by cafe, rice fields and a few little shops. Great walking area. Herbal sauna was a stand out and very relaxing.

Shower was very basic, no table in room. Lots of spiderwebs. No coffee in room.

Schöne Anlage, sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Mitarbeiterinnen, gutes Frühstück. Die Lage ist angenehm ruhig und man ist zu Fuß in ca 10 Minuten im Zentrum. Sehr nah gibt es gute Cafés und Restaurants.

Very beautiful hotel with great bungalows in the calm and beautiful countryside outside of Ubut. Delicious food, great massage offers and very well taken care of premises. Nice staff. The place is the perfect location for long walks through ricefields and green, undisturbed of loud traffic noise and crowded streets. Highly recommend!
