Reviewed Jul 23, 2026The food was very nice, home cooked and very delectable and had a nice variety. Owner even gave us a mini tour of the area, very informative. The cottage itself was very well designed with a balcony overlooking the valley. The toilets was very clean considering the high mountainous area. Overall a fantastic 1 night stay perfect for our adventures trip.
Long winding road to reach there and lots debris on the road, not there fault but the journey through the hilly mountains was a challenge.

Reviewed Jul 12, 2026Mysigt boende med fantastisk utsikt över bergen. Mycket god middag med många olika rätter. Väldigt hjälpsam värd som tipsade om vandringar och fina platser att besöka. Varje kväll kunde man följa med värden på en kortare promenad där han berättade om djur, växter och området.

Sengene var meget ringe og virkeligt hårde. Dyner og puder virkede lidt slidt. Øvrig interiør virkede desuden også lidt slidt

Unfortunately, I had to leave unexpectedly one day earlier due to a medical emergency, and within minutes the staff went out of their way to organize transportation. They even returned 300 NTD since I was not having dinner that day. This is exceptional care and service, and it speaks so highly of the hospitality and warm-heartedness of the Taiwanese people. I cannot recommend this place high enough, particularly if you are interested in exploring tea farms, waterfalls, and the remote countryside of Alishan.

Reviewed Mar 11, 2026The location is incredible. Just a beautiful place up in the mountains. Enthusiastic host who loves nature. Delicious meals. Friendly people. Good walks nearby (tea plantations, bamboo grove). Staying here was a highlight of our trip to Taiwan.
Nothing. Just be careful to check directions beforehand and maybe use an interim waypoint otherwise Google Maps might take you a narrow and impractical short cut.

Reviewed Feb 12, 2026I liked everything except for being cold in the evening. We got warm by getting into bed with the electric blanket. The location is fabulous for some great walks in the jungle. The room was large with nice hot shower and balcony. The owners were fab and produced super meals, partly tailored to our tastes!
Cold at night in February....of course it is!

En plus, nous sommes végétariens et ils ont adapté le menu pour nous, c’était vraiment très gentil de leur part. Vraiment une expérience au top!

Reviewed Jun 29, 2025Everything. The service and food totally exceeded my expectation. Momo (Mr Lai) when realised we did not have our own car, bothered to make sure we were well taken care of, arranged our walking itinerary, and arranged our transport when leaving. Food provided was healthy and tasty Taiwanese homecooked food which suited us very well. Room was very spacious and comfortable with a wonderful view. Also Momo conducts free tours for his guests to local village, to see fireflies (when in season) and that makes the stay more meaningful, at least to us. All in all it was the highlight of my Taiwan trip.
