1.인원수에 비해 깔개와 이불이 맞지않습니다. 깔개는 하나밖에없고 이불은 많았습니다. 색깔도 여러가지. 2.수건이 2019년 돌잔치 수건이 있을줄이야. 수건이 깨끗하지만 까끌합니다 ㅜ

저렴하고 위치 나쁘지 않고 방안에 화장실 다 있어서 왔다갔다 안해도 되고 저는 일정상 조식을 못먹었지만 이가격에 조식까지 주시면 괜찮은것 같음 1층 라운지도 꽤 크다 이불 두툼하고 좋음

화장실이 작긴 함 그리고 2층침대의 윗층 썼는데 아래층이 비어서 그런가 침대가 많이 흔들림.. 글구 난간이 낮아서 자다가 굴러떨어질까봐 벽에 붙어서 잤어요 ㅠ

아이들과 급하게 갔다왔지만 5시쯤 예약하고9시입실 아침식사도 아주 좋았습니다한국식. 식사를 주셨어요 맛있어요 설거지도 정리하고왔어요^^ 부킹닷컴예약하고 선결제안해도 되요 수건도더주셔서. ^^~샤워폼 샴푸린스도 넉넉히있어요 애들이랑샤워하고 에어컨 틀어났어요 방은 따뜻하겠더라고요 펭귄마을 가깝더라고요 밤에 잠깐 나갔다가 편의점찾으러 아침에 구경다하고 신났어요 침대없어도 애들이같이잤어

내비로가다가 조금 헤매긴 했어용 위치가 밤에 가니깐 안보였어요^^~

The check in didn’t work, and what’s app didn’t work, and the owner doesn’t check her booking messages, so you have to call her (even from foreign numbers which costs a fortune) and even then not sure she answers

Staff très très peu joignable. Faite attention à lire toutes les informations qu’il y a sur la pancarte à côté de l’ordinateur de Check in car sinon pas de breakfast 🥲 Le matin il n’y a pas d’eau chaude, donc douche à l’eau froide 🥶

В один из дней завтрак не подали. При чем заранее написали, что хотели бы позавтракать. Утром мы и ещё 2 человека оказались перед закрытой дверью. Никаких сообщений с извинениями не было ни до, ни после. При чем была закрыта кухня/столовая, то есть и самостоятельно позавтракать не было возможности. Кафе открываются в 10,поэтому пришлось менять планы.

위치 : 인근 펭귄마을이 있어서 주변을 걸어서 갈수 있는 장점이 있어요.

1. 직원 대응 : 예약했던 룸이 아닌 다른 룸으로 배정이 되었습니다. 직원분과 통화를 통해 말씀드렸는데 직원의 실수로 잘 못 배정된 것을 확인하였습니다. 가장 먼저 해야 되는 말은 "죄송합니다." 일텐데 "자신의 실수로 배정을 잘못 되었다." 뿐이었습니다. 방 크기는 똑같다는 말만 반복하셨습니다. 예약 사이트를 통해 확인한 결과 금액 차이가 있어서 말씀드리니 그때 차액 환불해주겠다는 말로 그냥 끝. 아무리 많은 예약자가 있다고 하더라도 직원 대응이 정말 좋지 않았습니다. 2. 침구류 및 수건 : ........정말 할 말이 없습니다. 첨부한 사진으로 확인해보세요. 수건은....얼룩이 그대로 다 묻어 있고, 내가 왜 다른 사람 행사 답례품으로 받은 수건을 써야 하는지....이불은.....하........정말 최악이었습니다. 3. 소음 : 잘못 배정된 룸에서 부터 잘못된 것 같습니다. 방 아래가 바로 식당이었는데 아예 방음이 안됩니다. 조식을 준비하시는지 아침 7시 조금 넘어서 부터 쿵쾅쿵쾅 큰 볼 부딫히는 소리에 그릇 소리에....밥솥 밥 다되었다는 알람 소리까지.....온가족 모두 자연 기상.... 4. 이외 : 저희가 묵은 방은 정식 숙소로 허가 받은 방인지 의심이 됩니다. 비상구 등이 샤워실을 향해 있었고, 그 비상구 등은 형광등 처럼 밤에 아주 밝게 비추고 있었습니다. 이곳에서 침구류의 찜찜함과 비상구 빛, 아침 소음으로 숙면은 절대 못했습니다. 체크아웃하며 아주 좁은 계단을 내려오는 중에 연세 있으신 사장님 같은 분이 "조용하죠? 잘 쉬었어요?"라고 물으시는데....어르신이어서 왠만하면 좋은 거짓말을 하지만 아무런 대답도 안드리고 인사만 드리고 나왔습니다. 지금까지 많은 숙소에서 지내봤지만 다른 방은 모르겠지만 제가 묵은 방은 정말 최악이었습니다.

La camera scelta riportava le immagini e la descrizione di un letto matrimoniale, molto a sorpresa ci siamo ritrovati a dormire su un futon. Inoltre, al contrario delle immagini presenti in galleria, non è presente una alternativa alla colazione tradizionale, che al secondo giorno prevedeva solo riso e pollo (?).

Ambiente caratteristico

Non era una stanza, non si poteva spegnere il segnale di uscita con una luce fortissima per tutta la notte, non ci hanno neanche dato le chiavi della stanza e non era possibile comunicare con lo staff. Un posto non adatto a chi non è coreano.

bagno senza finestra, ma solo con aeratore, ma questo da quanto capisco, è molto comune in corea. se dovessi dare suggerimento, forse ecco metterei un pochino piu' di assistenza per i check in , ma ecco , staff super gentile :)

Ambienti puliti doccia perfetta e prodotti per L igiene ( shampoo e balsamo e bagnoschiuma) buonissimi. Aspirapolvere in stanza.

Non ho avuto modo di conoscere il gestore, il Check in automatico non funzionava e ci ha accolti un’altra ospite della first house. Non abbiamo mai incontrato la signora che comunque ci ha sempre risposto ai messaggi inviati su whatsapp. I letti non erano stati preparati ( furono) abbiamo un po’ improvvisato.

It's a friendly place to stay for short duration. I like the bedding, very cute color choice.

The shower was a bit weird. it is just next to the sink for hand wash, a little bit uncomfortable.

It has an ideal location in the middle of the hanok village. The hanok is very authentic and the breakfast is delicious.

I’m glad I brought my sleep mask because the door to the courtyard is glass panels covered by paper, so the light came in somewhat. I’m not used to the thin futons, but I slept fine.

Good breakfast, the owner is easily reachable. Small locker available.

The room was comfortable and clean, in a quiet location with easy bus and walking access to the main areas of Gwangju and the nearby national park.

There wasn’t much in the way of contact with staff. We knew we would arrive before check-in time so we messaged the property on booking.com to ask about luggage storage the day before but got no reply. When we arrived, there was nobody at the property and the WhatsApp QR code on the signage to message the owner had expired. When we called the number listed, we were told to leave our luggage on the first floor. When we came back later, checkin was self-service, which we managed successfully, but compared with the other places we have stayed in Korea this guesthouse was quite impersonal.

It was a very nice, and clean, twin bedroom, with a nice hot shower. The location was good, very near to the Penguin village, market and some other main sightseeing. It was good that breakfast was included. There is a fridge upstairs for guests to use, which we found handy.

Mostly fine, but would have liked a bit more for the vegetarian breakfast. It is worthwhile advising in advance if you are vegetarian or vegan.

Located very close to penguin village, in a nice quiet neighborhood, about a 15m walk from the ACC. Rooms are small and the shower situation is a bit, well Korean, but it’s fine given the price. The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel itself was pretty quiet when we were there, maybe two other couples or so, so quiet at night. Ariene was very kind and responsive. As others have noted the checkin screen is unusable if you don’t speak Korean but we had no issue checking in manually.

The location was great. The open atmosphere and the decoration was really nice. It allowed for guests to meet each other and it didn’t feel like a hotel.

I’m American, so this may be normal in Korea. I didn’t like the soft vinyl flooring. Something about it made the room feel off. There wasn’t much storage so staying for a few days can be difficult if all you have for storage is a suitcase. The self check in did not work for me. I had to call the staff.

The best location in town I think, because you get the penguin village and the area nearby with a bunch of galleries, cafes and restaurants around. Right across the river you have the buzzing city life area with museums, shopping, night life and more cafes. The owner is a nice lady who also hosts bachata dance class, you can ask her to participate. The place offers "Korean breakfast" which has multiple variations, but if you didn't have spicy kimchi soup for breakfast before - here's your chance :) The dorm area is clean and new. There is a balcony if you need to dry your clothes, the bathroom is in the room as well, which is nice. Hike to the mountain is a short bus ride away. If you go a bit deeper into the hood, you'll discover the local place 60계치킨 광주방림봉선점 - the best Korean chicken I had in Korea. They can also make the red sauce version not that spicy if you ask.

The bunk beds have very little overhead room, they are too low, you can't sit up properly, which was a bit uncomfortable. The lockers in the rooms have combination codes on them, 3 out of 4 locks were not working because probably somebody did not reset the code after their stay.

Convenient to the sites and nice preparations on the breakfast(s). Besides, the Room is clean and comfortable. Highly recommend.

Not close to the metro but it is not to blame the guesthouse when there is only one line in Gwangju.

Clean and comfortable room or dormitory. Great facilities. Breakfast included. The staff was friendly, especially the lady at the breakfast. Calm environment, still not too far from shops and restaurants.

The digital checking was a bit complicated for me.

The location was minutes from the Penguin village and easy walking distance to public transport. AC was excellent. Room was clean and comfortable. There was an option for a Korean breakfast (day 1 - rice and soup. Day 2 - rice and chicken) or western breakfast (appeared to be cereal and toast) which has to be reserved the day before.

Couldn't check in through the kiosk and had to call the number to check in. Ari came to help us and was friendly. We were not booked into the room that we reserved - we got a room with two double beds and not a queen bed. WiFi is very weak and not secured by a password.

Hot shower, good internet, you get korean breakfast. But you must tell it before. I take it one time For me not a problem but I think the dorr is closed from midnight to seven

Breakfast was provided. The room was clean and only 2/4 beds occupied.

The owners don’t speak a lot of English but this was not an issue for me personally.

It's in a quiet location with good access to the sights. Friendly staff.

The main problem was that I didn't get what I booked. If I had the rating given would have been higher. It may just be one of those translation errors where what it says in English is not what it says in Korean. If I spoke Korean there may have been no problems.

The area was good. The room was nice. Breakfast was good. I got two eggs and rice because I don't eat meat.

There was a screen to check in, but when I entered my information it said that there was no booking. I stood and waited and then finally someone who worked there came and showed me to my room. It was quite stressful. The mattress was in a cupboard, so I was a little bit surprised when I saw a room with nothing to sleep on.

Location is very good, close to many attractions (visit penguin village, it is just around the corner!). The breakfast is really good, rooms big enough with comfortable beds.

The communication at the beginning was quite difficult.

Clean, quirky space in a perfect location for buses to Mudeungsan national park, downtown and the penguin village.

Check in was really difficult because no one was there. We tried knocking on doors and calling the number but there was no answer. Finally, the owner replied and it was all fine after that. Just a tip for the owner: stick a sign on the self check in computer to say that it isn’t working. We tried for a really long time to get it to work because it’s the first thing we saw when we entered.

I reserved the room with breakfast included, but the hostess wanted additional charge for the breakfast when i chek in. I did not like her unpleasant manners when we had breakfast next days. She treated us differently comapred to korean guests.

It was comfortable during my stay and they even provided breakfast.

Some communication problems if you don't speak Korean.

We arrived at Check-in time but Nobody there. A Message in the wall Said, that WE have to call a number, but WE Had No korean Phone number. Fortunately another customer helped US and called the number. WE got our Code for the rooms via that call and No Further instructions. There was a sign in the wall that Said, the building IS closed from 12pm to 6 am. So WE we're afraid Not be able to get INSIDE when beeing late, so WE felt Like children in a school Trip. WE also Had No Idea what WE are allowed to Drink and eat for breakfast, the fridge at the kitchen seems privat.

Breakfast! I chose Korean breakfast so it's a full course meal and was delicious. The host was accommodating.

I'm only 5'3" but the lower bunk bed is quite low for me.

Quiet, nice clean facilities, comfy beds, tasty breakfast... everything I could wish for in a place to stay! The personal lamp above each bed is very convienant. Also the location is very ideal, near downtown, the subway, and a lovely river to walk along! I will definitely book here if I travel to Gwangju again!

I don't know about the other rooms, but the room I stayed had the toilet in a separate room than the sink/shower. This was fine, just mildly inconvienant. Also, I was okay, but some travelers may have trouble sleeping on a top bunk if that's what they're left with.

Situated near the penguin village, with a lot of cafes, 30 min away from Mudeungsan, so comfortable !

The women running the guesthouse more or less on her own might need some more support. She had to handle everything on her own with 2 young kids. But she really gave it her best and was very friendly.

Very cute place in a quiet and artsy neighbourhood of Gwangju, with a decent selection of good restaurants nearby. Korean breakfast was tasty.

The hostess could have been a bit friendlier, but perhaps this was because she didn't speak English well.
