We loved staying here. Staff were amazing - friendly relaxed vibe. Excellent pool to cool off and fantastic food. Nice touches included introducing us to Sri lankan coconut pancakes. Yum!

So many monkeys - intimidating at first but you soon learn relax around them.

Das Personal war hervorragend. Man wurde bei der Anreise mit kühlen, feuchten Tüchern und kühlem Welcome Drink begrüßt. Das war bei der herrschenden Hitze eine Wohltat. Toll ist die Lage, mitten im Dschungel. Man kann viele Tiere beobachten. Und auch die Ancient City ist nicht weit. Das Essen im Restaurant war sowohl das Frühstück als auch das Abendessen hervorragend. Auch der Service war spitze. Das nächste Mal werden wir sicher länger bleiben.

The staff and service at Wild Escape Hotel are exceptional. They are very welcoming, helpful and attentive. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the wi-fi was very good. The food was also generous and delicious. They thoughtfully gave us extras like free dessert or free pancakes. We enjoyed swimming in the pool while watching the monkeys play.

Camere pulite e tenute molto bene. Fare il bagno in piscina circondati da uccelli splendidi e scimmie è un ulteriore bellissimo plus! Rapporto qualità prezzo imbattibile. Le personnel nous a organisé un safari en 10 minutes, ils étaient tous au top, un grand merci à eux. De plus les repas étaient très bon et copieux. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir.

The garden is very big and beautiful, and wild animals come around. I saw several groups of monkeys (macaque and bearded) for extended periods of time, an eagle. They told me they see lemurs from time to time (like once a week), that they would let me know if they would appear. Our two rooms were very big and had big balconies and I spent quite some time watching the monkeys from there. The pool is very big and beautiful.

Per uscire la sera bisogna farsi venire a prendere e portare indietro perché c'è pericolo di incontrare elefanti lungo la strada ma pochi tuc tuc sono disponibili ad arrivare in struttura.

Prachtige plek,met hele grote tuin. Mooi zwembad en het personeel was echt geweldig! Zijn super netjes, spreken goed engels, lachen heel de dag. Het voelt hier zo warm! Wij deden ook een safari via het hotel. Wij hadden Shiran als driver en guide, ik raad hem iedereen aan. Hij heeft zoveel passie voor dieren en daardoor ook zoveel kennis. Je merkte aan alles dat hij zoveel plezier beleefde aan ons alles laten zien en vertellen. Dat maakte het onbetaalbaar. We zagen wel 100 olifanten die hun weg naar het water aflegde.

Verfrissend zwembad, heerlijk na een heet bezoek aan Pollonawura. Ze regelden voor ons fietsen om de stad te bezoeken. Het hotel is vlakbij de uitgang van de stand en we mochten de fiets achter laten aan het hotel. Lekker eten.

Sie liegt mitten im Grünen und man kann dort viele Tiere entdecken. Unser Zimmer war hübsch eingerichtet und sauber. Was die Unterkunft aber wirklich besonders macht ist das Personal. Alle sind sehr zuvorkommen. Der Service auch beim Essen ist großartig. Das Essen war total lecker! Es wurde sich auch sehr um unsere Kinder gekümmert, dass sie auch etwas zu essen finden. Der Manager hat extra noch Haferflocken für sie gekauft. Danke nochmal! Das Preis-leistungsverhältnis ist wirklich gut!

Accueil au top! Les chambres sont spacieuses et propres. La piscine est très agréable, on est dans la forêt et c est un régal d avoir les singes endémiques à notre porte le matin ! Le wifi fonctionne bien dans les chambres ! Le petit déjeuner a été le meilleur de notre séjour et en plus ils ont préparés quelque chose de spécial sans gluten pour moi! C était délicieux - ils ont même ouverts 30min avant juste pour nous le matin pour qu on puisse profiter de notre petit déjeuner dans le calme avant l arrivée d un groupe ! Nous avons egalement dîner sur place , et on a choisi le poisson pêché le jour même dans le lac - parfaitement cuit ! Franchement une très très belle surprise et de loin le moins cher de notre séjour !! On reviendra les yeux fermés !

Nous avons rarement rencontré un personnel aussi accueillant et à nos petits soins. Nous avons dîné au restaurant de l’hôtel, excellent. Très agréable de se détendre dans la piscine après les excursions. Tout était propre et confortable, hôtel à côté de la sortie du site archéologique et dans la nature. On aurait pas pu rêver mieux !

Excellent customer service from all staff. Fantastic food which was created to our individual tastes. My husband likes extra spicy and that’s exactly what he received. The staff also recommended a great tuk tuk driver who took us to the ancient city. The wildlife at Wildescape was first class and we saw many animals and birds from our room. Our room was very comfortable and full of natural light. The pool was clean and refreshing after a day exploring the local area. We highly recommend this place as it is more than just accommodating.

Muy próximo al recinto de Polonnaruwa. En la jungla, con todas las comodidades necesarias, habitación amplia y cama muy cómoda. Muy buen desayuno y cena exquisita.

Zeer vriendelijk personeel. Zorgden voor lekker eten, hulp bij het boeken van de excursies en tips voor onze verdere reis.

Sitio muy tranquilo a 10mn en tuk tuk de los sitios arqueológicos. Personal muy amable y atento. Habitaciones muy grandes y limpias 2 opciones de desayuno: continental o Sri lankais muy bueno y en cantidad. Nos organizaron el safari y el guia de 10. Muy interesante, mucha información y paraba cada vez que veía un animal. Llegamos un poco temprano y nos dieron una habitación más grande que ya estaba lista

Supervriendelijk personeel en management dat erg behulpzaam is. Ze helpen je met plezier bij de huur van fietsen, uitstappen, vervoer, … Erg leuk resort dat dicht bij de uitgang van de site ligt met erg ruime kamers. Bevat ook een restaurant waar je s’avonds lekker en erg betaalbaar kan eten (en wij kregen er steeds een dessert van het huis bij). Was voor ons de allerleukste plek van ons verblijf.

The staff are unbelievably helpful, going beyond the call of duty & without whom we'd never have experienced the once a year Poson Poya parade nor eaten the best curry in Sri Lanka, nor would we have been in the awesome Kaudulla National Park by ourselves without the manger arranging it all for us within minutes of our late afternoon arrival during a national pilgrimage holiday. I credit the manager solely for making the best day of our holiday happen here: Kaudulla wild elephants gathering in the afternoon & a parade of elephants & dancing in the evening: you have to see it to believe it.

De mensen waren zeer aardig en behulpzaam bij alles. Je wordt ontvangen door de manager die ervoor zorgt dat het je aan niks ontbreekt. Het hotel ligt erg mooi in het groen en je wordt omringd door apen en vogels. Fietsen om de oude stad te verkennen kan je gewoon bij het hotel vragen (1000 roepies per dag per fiets). En regel ook een safari via het hotel. Dat is veel goedkoper dan online via de geijkte aanbieders. De jeep haalt je op bij het hotel, doet de safari en brengt je weer thuis.

Ruime kamers, lekkere bedden en goed ontbijt en eten in het restaurant. Heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Toen wij er waren was het erg warm en dan is het heerlijk even afkoelen in het zwembad.

Un escondite en plena selva. Habitaciones amplias y muy cómodas. Tiene una piscina de buen tamaño, entre árboles y al atardecer vimos algún mono acercarse a beber. (Inofensivos, más asustados por nuestra presencia que nosotros por la suya) Cena variada y riquísima. También muy buen desayuno. Y todo el mundo muy amable. Un sitio de 10!

We only stayed one night but it was the perfect place to get up early and see the ancient city ruins from as they are about 500m away from the exit. The rooms were huge and clean and comfy. The food in the restaurant was very good and we were given a complimentary desert and breakfast was large and filling. I had the fish of the day which was delicious. Everyone was really welcoming and although it’s not particularly big it was nice to have the pool to dip in. It’s definitely wildescape with lots of animals and birds around

It is a great place. Loads of monkeys around. Nice swimming pool and hammocks. The staff and the manager are amazing and they go above and beyond to help you. Handy location as it is located very near to the ancient city exit.

Die Lage mitten in der Wildnis und trotzdem nicht weit weg von der Ancient City ist super. Es war sehr ruhig, das Personal total beflissen, einem jeden Wunsch von den Augen abzulesen und auch wirklich sehr gut ausgebildet. Wir bekamen eine ausgezeichnete Bedienung beim Essen. Dazu waren die Zimmer gut ausgestattet, groß und luftig und zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Einiges auf der Anlage ist noch im Bau, und recht modern. Trotzdem fügt es sich sehr gut in die Landschaft ein.

Dieses Hotel haben wir wegen einer Änderung unserer Route kurzfristig gebucht und wurden total überrascht. Die Zimmer sind einfach, aber sauber und mit allem was man braucht. Abendessen und Frühstück waren sehr lecker und am herausragendsten war der Service, der mit einem 5 Sterne Hotel mithalten konnte und gleichzeitig wahnsinnig herzlich war. Am Pool kann man wunderbar Affen beobachten.

Exactly as described. Close to the Gal Viharaya exit. Friendly and very helpful staff. We had two deluxe double rooms and enjoyed our short, one-night stay a lot—including the swimming pool. The AC worked really well. ​We ordered dinner and it was really good; they even managed to include fried lake fish at very short notice. Breakfast was also fine, with both Sri Lankan and Western options. ​Overall, a very positive stay.

Staff gentilissimo e premuroso . Ci hanno accolti benissimo con cocktails di benvenuto, asciugamani freddi profumati. Dato la possibilità di usare la piscina di sera anche se chiusa. Offerto anche la camera dopo l'orario del ceck out per una doccia rinfrescante e partire puliti.

Trovato qualche insetto di troppo dentro la stanza, ma è normale dato che l'hotel è immerso nella natura. Qui in Srilanka non usano le zanzariere alle finestre😂

Great staff, very friendly, very helpful. Great tips. The best food I had till now in Sri Lanka. You will be staying in the middle of nature. You can rent a bicycle to go to The Ancient City. I also booked the Elefants Eco Safari. Make sure you book it with them. Best price and you will get the best driver and tourgids. After my trips I had a nice and quiet swim in the pool.

Мы с удовольствием провели здесь время и не пожалели о своём выборе. Желание прикоснуться к истории Шри-Ланки была выполнена. И плюсом к этому была возможность хорошо отдохнуть в этом отеле, хорошо покушать и отдельное спасибо за организацию дальнейшего трансфера. Большой плюс этого места - наличие бассейна.

Рядом сходить погулять или пошопиться не получится. Но всегда можно вызвать тук-тук и прокатиться.

Apartmán byl velmi prostorný a pohodlný. V restauraci, která je součástí ubytování, jsme dostali na uvítání studený nápoj, objednali si výbornou večeři a ráno vychutnali bohatou snídani. Kdyby večer nepršelo, mohli bychom si užít i bazén.

Een hotel waar service en klantvriendelijkheid bovenaan staan! Hele vriendelijke mensen, alles werd geregeld voor je en ze stonden altijd klaar om te helpen. Twee keer ook daar avond gegeten, allebei de keren heerlijk en we kregen iedere keer een ander dessert 'on the house '. Tafels werden zelfs tussen gerechten door schoongeveegd, hier kan een sterrenrestaurant nog van leren! Het ontbijt was ook goed. Het hotel heeft fietsen voor ons geregeld om te huren en deze in Hotel laten afleveren. Toen we door een stortregenbui die bleef aanhouden niet terug naar hotel konden fietsen, regelden ze dat de fietsen op locatie werden opgehaald, zodat wij tuktuk konden nemen. Veel diersoorten te zien op het terrein. Kortom, een must stay in Polonnaruwa!

We loved our stay here. The staff and manager were super friendly and we experienced exceptional customer service. The wild life around the place were entertaining to watch from your bedrooms. Pool a great place to relax after a long day of sightseeing. Food was delicious, especially the Sri Lankan breakfast.

Nothing, but if ever there is a chance to have screen doors to balconies, we would have loved to sleep with doors open and hear the animals. This of course may not be possible though.

I had a wonderful experience with the hotel property. The place was clean, beautifully maintained, and had a very relaxing atmosphere. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the surroundings felt peaceful and welcoming. Everything was well organized, which made the stay smooth and enjoyable. This is a lovely place with a large garden, nice pool and great food.

The property is on a quiet village road amidst the jungle. I loved that we looked out at trees from both our front and back decks and could watch the monkeys and squirrels. I also loved the pool! But the location was only just one highlight. Everything exceeded expectations. I would give wild escape a 13 out of 10. The meals were amazing- with Michelin starred service. I had an Ayurvedic massage that Kumara also arranged which was exceptional. The value of this special place far exceeds the cost. Wildescape is an absolute highlight for us!

The location is excellent, conveniently close to Polonnaruwa Ancient City, making it perfect for sightseeing while still offering a calm and serene atmosphere. The swimming pool was clean and well-maintained, set in a beautiful natural surroundings ideal for relaxation. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed with great cleanliness and cozy beds. The food was delicious with a good variety of both local and international options, making the dining experience enjoyable. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

The host and staff were incredible. It is run like a high-end hotel (so many small examples of attention to detail) which is exceptional as it is great value for money. The host helped us arrange bikes and made special efforts as we are recently engaged. I wouldn’t expect much as it was such good value however there were flowers beautifully set out on the bed. The staff were so friendly and helpful. It was also Sri Lankan New Year and there were additional snacks and treats complementary for our stay. The rooms were lovely and clean, the pool was great, food was delicious and the location is set in peaceful nature. We were so impressed!

Beautiful hotel with excellent service. The staff is welcoming, friendly, attentive, courteous, speaks excellent English. The room is very clean, bed is comfortable, kettle, hairdryer, shampoo and shower gel are provided. Very clean beautiful pool with a few sun loungers. Pool towels are provided. Located in a lush jungle, there are even a fish pond and frog pond where the lovely staff allowed us to feed fruit to the fish! The breakfast was amazing - buffet when there are many guests and a la carte if less guests. There are both western and Sri Lankan options. Many vegetarian options. Everything is delicious and clean. The dinner is also fairly priced, with generous portions and fabulous tastes. Cocktails were just 1200 LKR!

A sun shade by the pool would enhance the experience. Tap water (shower) can smell a bit mouldy. Entrance to the ancient city is a bit far to go by walking.

Breakfast and our other meal (dinner) at Wildescape were excellent. Our group were exceptionally happy with this accommodation and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again or recommend it to anyone else.
