Quiet and peace surounded by nature. It was ashort walk to some good thai restaurant and cafe. room was really clean with very nice balcony to chill and have coffee. Bed was really good too. I slept really well ! Every day they provide mineral water and packages of coffee and creamer. Mr Tee and his staff really care about their guest staying there. Upon arrival mr Tee wait and pickup at the junction give a map of koh kood and brief the island and the mosquitoes time. Really a nice guesture.

It can be a bit of a distance to walk to the beach. But i have scooter so it was no problem

Nous avons séjourné 7nuits dans un des bungalows. Entouré d'arbres, au calme nous avions tout le confort: ventilateur (suffisant), réfrigérateur, bouilloire et douche chaude. Sans oublier l'essentiel... la qualité du lit! Moelleux mais pas trop et des draps tout doux, le meilleur sommeil depuis 3 mois de voyage! Une personne passe tous les matins pour déposer de l’eau et s'assurer que nous ne manquons de rien. L'équipe a été aux petits soins. Outre le confort et la propreté, l'emplacement était parfait. Nous avons loué un scooter au propriétaire, indispensable pour profiter des plages et restaurants aux alentours. Bref, n'hésitez pas si vous aimez la nature (prévoyez l’anti-moustique sur la terrasse). Un rapport qualité/prix plus que parfait. Merci à toute l'équipe !

Really helpful and friendly staff, good bungalows with everything we needed

It’s like having your own house you could live there forever… they are friendly and helpful but is peaceful. You can rent motorbikes no hassle from them and ferry bus will collect you from front.shoutout to the dude at the counter who helped me my hand he was a gentleman. Also the neighbour helped me shout out to her aswel lol.

Le cadre dans la mangrove loin du bruit des scooters sur la route malgré la proximité avec la plage et la cascade, le chant des oiseaux. L'accueil chaleureux et attentionné de Mr Tee, avec des conseils de visites. Les draps et les serviettes changés, le ménage fait. La chambre confortable avec un lit moelleux rare en Thaïlande. La possibilité de louer des scooters. Et le gentil petit chat très bavard !

The owner Tee was so welcoming when I arrived and very helpful in getting my bearings ! The bungalow had everything I needed plus very quiet and calm . Short walk to small nightmarket and easy walk to beach

L’accueil du monsieur qui s’est démené pour nous installer le second matelas comme prévu. Le propriétaire ne l’avait pas informé.

La décharge autour du bungalow, tt est en démolition, vue sur de vieux wc démolis… affreux ! Aucun remboursement, nous sommes parties de suite. Inacceptable !

Mata Guesthouse has unbelievably kind and wonderful staff. They go above and beyond to help with everything — arranging tickets to Bangkok, renting scooters, doing laundry, and more. They made my stay incredibly easy and stress-free. The bungalow was clean, comfortable, quite, and very well maintained. It was a great place to relax. The location is also excellent. There are local shops nearby, a night market within walking distance, and restaurants open from early morning, so you never feel inconvenienced. As a bonus, there are adorable dogs and cats around the guesthouse, which made the stay even more enjoyable. I would absolutely love to come back and stay here again.

Bungalow mit Ventilator: optimal geschlafen auch ohne Klimaanlage mitten in den Mangroven. Besitzer und Personal sehr freundlich. Ein zusätzliches Regal als Ablage wäre noch gut😁

Le confort du petit bungalow et la gentillesse des hôtes. Lit bon, frigo bouilloire 2 bouteilles d’eau quotidienne.

Pas très accueillant bazar sur la gauche en arrivant mais vite oublié. Petit bungalow parfait pour 1 personne. Proche mangrove = présence des moustiques pas de leur fait 😉

Il padrone di casa, la sorella e la sua fidanzata sono persone molto accoglienti e simpatiche. I bungalow sono molto essenziali ma carini, nel giardino, quando siamo andati noi, c'eramo lavori di manutenzione e non si presentava molto bene. Nel campeggio sono disponibili scooter a noleggio (6 euro al giorno) indispensabili per spostarsi sull' isola. Dal campeggio possono essere raggiunti dei bar/ ristorantini anche a piedi. Siamo stati bene a Mata Guesthaus e speriamo di riuscire a tornare in futuro.

It was completely under construction and didn’t say it until after the booking. It was messy, smelly and sinister.

Lovely bungalows inside the mangroves. Really calm place off the main road. Mr Tee will help you with everything you need to have an amazing time on the island. Scooter rental is available directly from him as well for a good price.

The mosquitos are annoying, but that’s part of the mangroves surrounding.

Tee a été au top, toujours là pour vous aider, discuter et avoir des recommandations. On peut lui louer directement un scooter (et moi qui n'était pas douée c'était génial pour visiter l'île !! ) à gauche comme à droite il y'a des petits restaurants. Tee m'a aussi aider à booker le shuttle retour. On n'a pas vu sur mer mais la mangrove et les oiseaux assurent un dépaysement total. Ils ravitaillent toujours en eau, en café, et en pq :)

Inne i djungeln bodde vi i 5 dagar. Fint med fiskar i vattnet och fåglar bland träden. Geckos, stora som små, höll oss sällskap på verandan om kvällarna. Bra rum, badrum och fläkt som gör jobbet. Nära till nattmarknaden, vattenfall och fina stränder. Supersnäll värd som hjälper en med vad man än behöver hjälp med.

Mata house is inside of the forest, quiet and authentic. The fact that is a bit away from the road makes the difference, as you can avoid the busy scooters. The cabin is simple, but with everything you need and very comfortable. Location is good, as you're close to the center and in the middle of the island to drive everywhere. They rent the scooters there too. But for sure, the best part is to have Pla, Mr. T and Cherng as your hosts! They are lovely, super nice and generous! One day they did an authentic barbecue and we had dinner together. The other day we went to have dinner together in a local restaurant. Besides the best tips to hidden beaches and quiet places. I loved to stay here for a week! Thanks for everything!! 🫶🏽

I stayed at a few places on Koh Kood but this was one of the better ones. The people who run it are genuinely friendly and the cabins are clean and well-appointed. Despite hot weather, my fan-only room was cool and comfortable. It's great value and it's in a great location. I was also pleasantly surprised that the shower had hot water. I also really like that the place is set back from the road, so it feels really secluded.

No plug socket by the bed. Poor water pressure in the shower. Lots of ants in the bathroom. But great value overall

The accommodation is good but a bit on the remote side if you don't hire a scooter. The restaurant advertised was closed. It's a 10-minute walk to the night market, but only a handful of the stalls were open.

Very resourceful and experienced in life host, Mr. Tee. Scooter rental for 250 THB always available as they are plenty, no deposit. Three lovely resident dogs roaming the yard. Delicious grill night with seafood organized. I was a bit sick in the beginning of my stay and was taken care of, recovered nicely in the tranquility. Affordable restaurants and a lively bar nearby. I liked the big elevated level next to my bed where I could keep my things on, organized.

The bungalow I stayed in was actually two bungalows combined, so could always hear neighbor's door closing. Is a bit of a walk from the closest beach, if you choose walking instead of a scooter for some reason.

Calm and quiet location in the forest. Close to the restaurants and beach... And waterfall. Friendly and helpful owner. I rested that time but they organized a grill social night in the property. Easy scooter rent from the property. Great value for money.

Nothing that could ruin my experience in Koh Kood. Maybe a smaller and warmer extra night light in the room would be an upgrade.

Mr Tee ( Mr Project) is a real nice guy. Always on the go and always there to help guest with information and anything they need. Having him there really makes this very peaceful place. Couple of local cafes just up the road, both serve really good food. The beach isn't far, about 15 mins walk or 2 mins by scooter. This is a wonderful place to stay

It's wonderful quiet place, all houses are very clean and have all you need for comfortable staying - hot water, teapod, new coffee and water in your room every day. Mr Tee takes care about everything and everyone at this place and he is the real treasure. He is very friendly and helpful and knows a lot of languages and it's easy and pleasure to communicate with him.

Mr T who is the owner is one of a kind. Such a nice man and accommodates everyone like they are his best friend. Every morning and evening he is there to say hi and have a chat, give you help and just be a smile around the place. The room is big, has a fridge and good AC. The bed is big. Warm water. Water and toilet paper given each day. WiFi was good! I could stream football on it. Bike rental from Mr T with no deposit at 250 per day. Location is not amazing if you don't have a bike as it's 1.1km to closest beach and all the good food places are 1.5/2 km away. You really need to drive a bike if you want to stay here.

I would prefer a water dispenser on the grounds to avoid unnecessary plastic usage each day. Value for money isn't as good as everywhere else in Thailand. So for what you pay you would get better quality elsewhere but it's in line with everything else on koh kood which seems to be an expensive island.

Exactly like on the photo. Nice place . Good staff. Its not fancy place, but very simple and very comfortable. Everything you need . Hot water in the shower, which you can find not everywhere, shower 🚿 with filter, have kettle and mugs. They bring us instant coffee , and water 2x0,5 and toilet paper everyday ! Not everywhere as well, only they dont have cafeteria or where can we order food but its not problem as a lot of places around even a night market. A little bit noisy neighbours and squirrels at night))) but not a big problem as well. Cute dogs and cats around . So it was a good stay

The manager was very kind and helpful The cottages are small but cozy with good facilities. Very quiet place. New waterbottles etcetera were already delivered before I even got up.

The location is a bit remote if you do not like driving a motorbike. Like me...

Mr. Tee is just amazing, he will help with precious advices for your staying in Koh Kood. It’s not the closest place to the beach, but to visit Koh Kood you will need a motorbike, so the location is actually great.

The fan was a bit loud, but as soon as you turn it off you start sleeping because visiting the island is very tiring

The owner is extremely friendly and the price is good compared to other places. It's a nice little quiet spot in the jungle, within walking distance (20 mins) of the beach. It's a simple and peaceful place.

It was a very quiet place in the middle of nature

The dogs were a little bit scary: I didn't like they were kept in cage but I could understand the reason. They were barking to the people coming through including me. One day I saw all of them (3) coming to me barking and then surrounding me but only to studying me. I understood that they were just observing who I was. Nonetheless, the way they were coming to me was a bit scary as they were growling while approaching.

Super Staff. Night Market in next 300 m. The Cocktail Bus from C ( call him: why not) was so cool. The beaches around are buetifull. All lovely people.

We stayed 8 nights at this wonderful peaceful place with amazing owners. Mr. Tee and his sister are such nice and kind persons and are always ready to help if needed. The bungalow is nice, very clean and comfortable. It is equipped with a fan (no necessary to use at night as it cools down), a fridge and a water cattle and the shower has hot water. The service is excellent: every day free coffee and water, every other day fresh towels and every three nights fresh bed linen. Wifi is excellent. We also rented the motorbike from them at a fair price. They have also 3 lovely dogs and cats which we loved to pet. About 200 meters from the guesthouse there is a local night market with tasty food and good music. We hope to come again and highly recommend this place.

very good location, within a 20-minute walk you can reach a waterfall, the beach and the night market. The owner is very friendly, every day he gave us coffee water and changed our towels. We rented a motorcycle and everything was perfect, we told him that a wheel was worn out and he changed it for us immediately.

The hosts and owners are the best! Extremely helpful, easy going, funny and good company :) Very clean rooms with working mosquito nets everywhere. No traffic noise, the location is literally carved into the jungle. Very good bug control (late April). If you like peace and quiet and the sounds of nature, this is the place for you!

A nice little house surrounded by greenery, comfortable bed, spacious bathroom, nice terrace. Everything very clean. You just hear the noice of wildlife. Nice manager. Daily roomservice, which we didn't expect for the low price. Sweet dogs. You can rent motorbikes, which you should to get arround. It's close to a lovely nightmaket where you get good food, drinks and nice vibes. A big beautiful beach is around 15min/20min walk away and some restaurants, too. We enjoyed our stay very much!

The area infront of reception and private house is a little messy. But we didn't see it from our terrace, this view was just beautiful green.

Mr. T was a wonderful host, he is a very kind and charming person! The complex is very nice and quiet, the bungalows are very well equipped and super clean. It is quite close to a night market and several restaurants and beaches. It is a beautiful area, calm and very quiet, with a lot of green around. We really enjoyed our stay, thank you very much Mr. T for being the best host on our long trip of almost three months!

The whole area is very nice with a huge garden and a fish farm situated in the mangrove forest. Our host was exceptional cool and helping. during our stay the restaurant was not open, but we could still order breakfast, could have our laundry done and rent a motorbike! If you like a quiet and charming place this is the right spot for you! Thanks again Mr. Tee We hope to be back soon :-)
