Riad El Maktoub

We had a great stay at Riad El Maktoub. The location is excellent, making it very straightforward to get around and explore. The room was comfortable, spacious, and spotless. Breakfast each morning was very good—fresh, generous, and delicious. The service throughout our stay was top-tier. Ismail was welcoming, attentive, and incredibly helpful, and the entire team was friendly, professional, and reliable. Everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Highly recommended.

We had an amazing stay here and would highly recommend it. The only difficult part was finding the riad for the first time. Google Maps can be confusing in the narrow streets. On our way, a man insisted on “guiding” us even after we repeatedly declined his help, and then demanded €20 when we arrived. So I would recommend contacting the riad directly for directions rather than accepting help from people on the street. Apart from that, our experience was wonderful. The manager, Ismail, is an absolute gem. He gave me his number and told us to message him anytime if we needed help, and he guided us with everything during our stay. The breakfasts were amazing, and the cute little pool was such a relief in the 42°C heat! The lady who looked after the cleaning was also incredibly sweet, always smiling and offering us mint tea whenever she saw us. The riad itself is beautiful, welcoming and within walking distance of many tourist attractions. A genuinely lovely experience and a place we would happily recommend!

A nossa estadia foi maravilhosa, mas o que realmente fez a diferença foi o Ismail. Desde o primeiro momento recebeu-nos como se fôssemos amigos de longa data e esteve sempre disponível para ajudar em tudo o que precisávamos. Conhece Marrakech muito bem e consegue explicar tudo com muita paciência e simpatia. Se precisarem de alguma coisa durante a estadia, basta falar com o Ismail porque ele faz tudo o que pode para ajudar e tornar a experiência especial. O Riad é muito agradável, acolhedor e bem localizado, mas sem dúvida que a hospitalidade e a atenção do Ismail foram o ponto alto da nossa estadia. Saímos de lá com a sensação de que não tínhamos apenas conhecido um rececionista, mas sim um verdadeiro amigo. Recomendo este Riad de coração, especialmente pela experiência e pelo excelente atendimento do Ismail. Resumindo, o Ismail foi excepcional, 10/10, o riad apesar de acolhedor, não acompanhou a nota 10.

Não existir porta de casa de banho, e é pena o terraço não ser utilizado para zona de refeições, uma vez que é bastante pequeno.

We booked to spend our city break at Riad El Maktomb, all the communications were great, The transfer arranged by the Riad was great even though we landed much later than planned, Ismail met us where the car stopped and walked us to the Riad, 5 minutes where the most wonderful meal was waiting for us, the room we had (Sahara), was just what we needed. Breakfast everyday has been excellent, we have no complaints, Ismail is a star.

Our host, Ismail, was incredibly kind and welcoming. He gave us lots of helpful advice throughout our stay, which made our visit even more enjoyable. The accommodation was clean and well-maintained, and our room was cleaned every day. The breakfast consisted of delicious local dishes and was both generous and satisfying. The riad is conveniently located close to the main square, making it easy to explore the city. Overall, it’s a wonderful place to stay if you’re planning to visit Marrakech. We highly recommend it!

Quanto à localização diria que foi uma boa experiência ficar na Medina e proximo as principais pontos de interesse da medina. Praticamente uma imersão na antiga Marrakech. O manager Ismael faz tudo para que o hospede se sinta bem acolhido.

Claro que devemos levar em consideração que um Riad dentro da old Medina tem seus limites de conforto. Mas travesseiros poderiam ser melhores para uma noite bem dormida.

Lugar encantador para disfrutar de la experiencia de pernoctar en un Riad en Marrakech. Las habitaciones muy limpias y cómodas, un típico patio central con piscina y una bonita terraza. Muy bien ubicado, próximo a la plaza El-Fna. El desayuno y el té espectaculares. Ismail te hace sentir como en casa, muy cercano y acogedor.

Struttura accogliente e pulita, ci hanno fatti sentire a casa. Ismail molto simpatico e disponibile, la signora ci ha preparato una colazione DIVINA e la stanza sempre pulita e in ordine. 10/10

Se a intenção é ficar no coração da Medina, este Riad é uma boa opção. A poucos passos dos comércios e da praça Jemaa e Fnaa. O café da manhã tinha os principais artigos do café marroquino e ainda senti um esforço de acrescentarem algo diferente, como croissant. Os funcionários são simpáticos e prestativos, deixo meu agradecimento ao Ismael e à senhora da limpeza que não consegui gravar o nome. Também adorei conhecer a Shipi, gatinha mega fofa dos proprietários.

Falta espaço no quarto para abrir mala, inclusive pedi para retirarem umas cadeiras por esse motivo. Acho que ter aqueles apoios de mala ou mesmo banquinhos, já traria mais conforto. Não há cabides também. O ralo do banheiro estava entupido, e vi que isso ocorre muito pois uns amigos que estavam em outro quarto relatou também isso. Piscina minúscula, nem percebi que se podia usar, achei que era apenas decorativo.

Helemaal niets. Persoonlijk jammer dat riads steeds meer door Europeanen worden gehost maar dat is ook de moderne tijd.

Abbiamo fatto un tour del Marocco da Sud A Nord e questo è stato in assoluto il posto migliore in cui abbiamo alloggiato. Accoglienza familiare di Quamara che ci ha deliziato per giorni con il the alla menta più buono di tutto il viaggio. Camera sempre pulita e piscina stupenda. In generale atmosfera molto rilassante. Ismail "the boss" ha pensato davvero a tutto e qualsiasi richiesta è stata soddisfatta, con lui ci siamo sentiti al sicuro. Ritorneremo sicuramente! Un caro saluto dall'Italia e sempre forza Marocco!!!

La hospitalidad. Ismaeli se preocupa mucho de que estés bien. La limpieza. Hay una señora que también trabaja que es muy atenta, te ofrece té y también se preocupa porque estes cómodo!

Está céntrico pero escondido, como todos los Riad. Mi consejo es que cojas el taxi de aeropuerto-Riad con el propio Riad, el GPS no llega a la puerta. Luego Ismaeli te explicará cómo llegar sin problema.

Wszystko bylo super. Czysto. Basen jest malutki, raczej na szybkie schłodzenie po spacerze w upale niż na spedzanie przy nim dnia. Czulismy sie bardzo zaopiekowani przez całą obsługę Riadu. Jak gdyby ktoś nas gościł we własnym domu. Ismail miał znaczący wkład na nasze samopoczucie w Marrakeszu.

Petit déjeuner très bien ! La chambre et sa décoration ont un style traditionnel, on a apprécié. Ismail est sympathique et disponible.

Pas de réel porte à la chambre Mauritanienne, qui se situe dans le hall du riad donc bruyante. Les prix des taxis énoncés au riad sont supérieurs au prix donné par des chauffeurs disponibles au bord de la route.

What an amazing experience we had in Riad El Maktoub! Our host, Ismail was very attentive, gave us a lot of advices where to go and what to explore, small talk with Morrocan mint tea (we had plenty) made us feel welcome and like at home! Riad El Maktoub was an excellent choice for our stay in Marrakesh. It is located just a few minutes from Jemaa el-Fna square and is a true refuge amid the hustle and energy of the Medina. At first, reaching the riad may seem a bit confusing, with the narrow, labyrinthine streets typical of the city, but we quickly got used to it, and it became very easy and convenient to find our way. A special thanks to Ismail, an excellent host, always available to help and offer great tips not only for visiting Marrakesh but also for making the most of a stay in Morocco. His kindness and attentiveness made all the difference. I would also like to highlight the lady responsible for cleaning the rooms and preparing breakfast, always very helpful and attentive. Súper cómodo y bien ubicado. Nuestra habitación era perfecta, el baño estaba limpio y el desayuno es riquísimo. Ismail un gran anfitrión, te ayuda con todo lo que necesites y siempre está al pendiente. Volvería sin dudarlo!

L'emplacement de la Riad El Maktoub est idéal. L'accueil extrêmement chaleureux et convivial de Ismael qui nous a aidé et donné de nombreux conseils. Nous avons eu des échanges riches qui nous permettaient de mieux comprendre la culture. Bon petit déjeuner.

Le seul bémol est que la puissance de l'air climatisé est instable

Wir hatten einen rundum schönen Aufenthalt im Riad El Maktoub in Marrakesch. Bereits der Abholservice vom Flughafen hat hervorragend funktioniert. Ismail hat diesen im Vorhinein für uns organisiert und uns anschließend persönlich abgeholt. Beim Einchecken hat er sich viel Zeit genommen und uns direkt erklärt, was wir in Marrakesch unbedingt anschauen sollten und worauf wir achten müssen. Mit dem Service waren wir wirklich mehr als zufrieden. Das Riad ist zwar eher klein, aber genau das macht seinen Charme aus. Man fühlt sich sofort wohl, die Zimmer sind sehr schön gestaltet, sauber und wurden jeden Tag gereinigt. Auch das Frühstück war sehr gut, obwohl wir normalerweise nicht so die süßen Frühstücker sind. Insgesamt können wir das Riad El Maktoub absolut weiterempfehlen. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Abbiamo soggiornato per circa tre giorni in questo riad: l'ambiente è piacevole, curato e tranquillo, ma il vero valore aggiunto è Ismail. Gentilissimo, simpatico e sempre disponibile, ci ha fatto sentire accolti fin dal primo momento. Sono persone come lui a rendere speciale un soggiorno e a farti sentire a casa, anche quando sei lontano da casa. Un ringraziamento va anche alla signora che collabora nel riad: non abbiamo avuto molte occasioni di parlare, ma il suo sorriso e la sua gentilezza sono stati una presenza costante e molto apprezzata. Un'esperienza assolutamente positiva, che consigliamo senza esitazione. We stayed at this riad for about three days: the atmosphere is pleasant, well-kept, and peaceful, but the real added value is Ismail. Extremely kind, friendly, and always available, he made us feel welcomed from the very first moment. It's people like him who make a stay special and make you feel at home, even when you're far from home. Thanks also go to the lady who works at the riad: we didn't have much opportunity to chat, but her smile and kindness were a constant and much-appreciated presence. Riad tranquillo e caratteristico. Ottima e varia la colazione a base dolce. E' possibile anche cenare su richiesta. Letto comodo e camera pulita. Personale molto cortese e disponibile ad aiutarvi con preziosi consigli per districarsi nella caotica Marrakech.

Il riad non è per nulla facile da trovare anche perché il vicolo di ingresso è talmente pieno di merci appese che sembra l'ingresso di una bottega.

El alojamiento estaba súper limpio. Muy bien ubicado a unos 4’ de la plaza. Ismail te ayuda en todo, además nos ofreció la posibilidad de traslado hasta el aeropuerto, cosa que tranquiliza, de hecho la ida y la vuelta la contratamos con el, en la llegada te explica los sitios turísticos y donde puedes ir a comer y cenar. El desayuno que te ponen en el Riad es perfecto y está todo buenísimo. Sin duda repetiría y lo aconsejo a todo el que vaya.

Sehr schönes Riad, sehr nettes und zuvorkommendes Personal. Besonders die Abholung vom Flughafen war im Nachhinein betrachtet sehr praktisch. Auch eine kurze Erklärung zum Verhalten in Marrakesch und ein paar Tipps zur Stadt waren super. Ansonsten war das Personal auch sehr freundlich und sehr zuvorkommend.

Ismahil è stato fantastico trovandoci il taxi sia per l’arrivo che per il ritorno, dandoci consigli su tutto. Ci ha fatto sentire a casa accogliendoci con te e torta, venendoci a perdere di persona. Il Riad é in una posizione ottima sia per muoversi a piedi che da raggiungere con taxi. Un Riad autentico rinnovato con attenzione e design. Camere ampie, ricche di dettagli, pulite e letto molto comodo. Colazione molto buona! Torneremo sicuramente.

El Riad está bien calidad-precio. Es bonito, está cerca de lo principal, el personal es amable y está limpio.

El desayuno no tiene proteína ni fruta. Si te toca alguna de las habitaciones de planta baja, lleva tapones u olvídate de dormir temprano o levantarte más tarde de las 8. Tampoco podrás abrir las ventanas para que entre luz o ventilar. Solo hay gel en la ducha, rebajado con agua. Nada es grave, pero no me parece de un Riad con más de un 9 de puntuación.

Nous avons passé 2 nuits fabuleuses dans ce Riad. Idéalement placé, dans une rue au calme, décoré magnifiquement. Ismail nous a très bien accueillis et s'est rendu disponible tout le long de notre séjour, toujours avec le sourire et de bons conseils pour nos visites et expériences culinaires marocaines! Un grand merci aussi à Kamar, qui a été aux petits soins avec nous lors des petits déjeuners très copieux ! Nous recommandons vivement ce logement !

Estuvimos como en casa todo muy limpio, muy atentos. El trato Ismail fue de 10, siempre super resolutivo y muy familiar!!!Lo recomendamos y seguramente volveremos al Riad!!! Gracias por todo

Llegar al Riad tu primer día es un poco lioso, pero cuando ya sales un par de veces ya lo memorizas y llegas sin problemas!!!

L’emplacement, le lieu, le personnel

Anas hat uns über WhatsApp beim Finden eines Parkplatzes geholfen. Wir empfehlen Parking AGUERZAM. Es kostet 7 Euro die Nacht und ist ein Festpreis. Das Riad liegt etwas versteckt und Google Maps stimmt hier nicht. Ein Foto der Eingangstür füge ich bei. Aber mit Hilfe von zwei freundlichen Einheimischen haben wir es schnell gefunden. Vor Ort hat uns Ismail mit vielen Tipps geholfen. Der detaillierte Stadtplan, den wir von ihm bekamen, war sehr hilfreich. Herzlichen Dank. Er hat uns auch leckeres Frühstück serviert. Auch Karma, die geputzt hat, hat uns mal einen Tee zwischendurch gemacht und am Vortag fürs Frühstück vorgebacken. Vielen lieben Dank Karma. Alle sind sehr freundlich.

In unserem Zimmer Marrakchia im Erdgeschoss war die Luftfeuchtigkeit recht hoch. Durch die Nutzung der Klimaanlage war es besser.

The location a bit off the beaten path

Todo INCREÍBLE! Es muy bonito, la cama es muy cómoda, las instalaciones muy limpias, el desayuno muy rico. El personal del Riad te trata como familia! Lo único a tener en cuenta es que al menos en mí caso el GPS no iba muy bien y me costó un poco encontrar la entrada, pero como observación para tener en cuenta, no es culpa del Riad. Ya una vez fuimos el resto de veces no te hace falta ni GPS. Volveremos y recomendaremos éste alojamiento.

The accommodation was in a very good, central location. The people there were extremely polite, helpful, and kind. The breakfast was excellent, comparable to that of a 4-star hotel. The rooms are beautifully decorated.

We had booked two double rooms: the one on the upper floor was perfect, but the ground-floor room was small, and since its openings faced the courtyard, it was very noisy. You were forced to keep the shutters closed at all times not to be seen. The owner could consider installing soundproof interior windows, as it was really impossible to sleep after 8 a.m., and there was constant noise during the day due to arrivals and departures

Das Bett war sehr bequem und das Zimmer geräumig. Die Dusche war super - immer heisses Wasser! Das Frühstück war sehr reichlich und lecker. Das Riad ist etwas verstreckt, aber sehr nahe am Place el Fnah und daher ideal gelegen! In der Nacht sehr ruhig.

This riad was absolutely amazing. Ismail was very nice and led us to the riad in the middle of the night when we arrived late at the airport. It was also very nice talking to him and drinking tea.

Abbiamo avuto un soggiorno meraviglioso al Riad El Maktoub. Il riad è magico, tranquillo e pieno di fascino. Posizione nella zona migliore della medina, a pochi passi da piazza Jemaa el- Fna, ma in una stradina laterale, quindi molto silenzioso. Abbiamo davvero apprezzato il nostro soggiorno e l’ospitalità calorosa ci ha fatto sentire come a casa, grazie a Ismail e ai colleghi in cucina che ci hanno preparato una cena ben oltre la mezzanotte il giorno dell’arrivo e una colazione all’alba il giorno della partenza. Conserveremo un bellissimo ricordo di questo soggiorno, consigliamo vivamente questo posto e torneremmo sicuramente.

All’inizio abbiamo avuto un piccolo problema con il trasferimento dall’aeroporto, perché non siamo riusciti a trovare l’autista e nessuno rispondeva al telefono. Dopo un bel po’ di attesa, abbiamo dovuto prendere un altro taxi. Trovare il riad da soli all’interno della medina (di notte, con tutto chiuso) non é stato facile, perché Google Maps non lo individua correttamente. Tuttavia, appena siamo arrivati, abbiamo trovato Ismail che ha gestito la situazione in modo rapido e professionale, molto calmo e attento, mettendo insieme all’ultimo e offrendoci un’ottima cena e ovviamente non addebitandoci il costo del transfer di cui non abbiamo usufruito. Da quel momento in poi tutto è stato perfetto.

Ismail und die Küchen-Dame waren immer sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend ! Ismail half und auch sehr, als wir die Nachricht erhielten, dass sich unser Abflug um mehr als 9 Stunden verzögert Das Frühstück war sehr umfangreich und lecker.

Der Raum neben dem Bett war sehr eng. Bad und Dusche waren aber groß genug.

Una estancia increíble en Riad El Maktoub desde el primer momento nos sentimos como en casa Ismail es una persona muy amable y siempre atento a todo con una sonrisa que te hace sentir cómodo el riad es muy bonito limpio y tranquilo en plena medina las habitaciones son cómodas y el desayuno muy bueno cada mañana también el riad ofrece excursiones si las necesitas durante tu estancia pero nosotros ya teníamos todo reservado antes de llegar aun así Ismail siempre estuvo disponible para ayudarnos con todo y darnos buenos consejos sin duda un lugar que recomendamos y al que volveríamos otra vez

De gastheer Ismail doet zo erg zijn best om het iedereen naar de zin te maken. Hij geeft tips, als je vragen hebt krijg je een duidelijk antwoord waar je wat aan hebt.de locatie is perfect. Als je op maps gaat lopen is het lastig vinden, maar als je tegenover de patisserie chezbrahim (geel met blauw) door een tunneltje gaat kom je er .

Het was een beetje vochtig in onze kamer. Maar dat maakt voor de score niets uit.

Η εμπειρία μας στο ριάντ ήταν υπέροχη, αλλά αυτό που την έκανε πραγματικά ξεχωριστή ήταν ο Ismail. Από την πρώτη στιγμή μας υποδέχτηκε με χαμόγελο και επαγγελματισμό. Ήταν πάντα διαθέσιμος, προσεκτικός και φρόντιζε κάθε λεπτομέρεια με ειλικρινές ενδιαφέρον. Μας βοήθησε με τα πάντα, από προτάσεις μέχρι οργάνωση δραστηριοτήτων κάνοντάς μας να νιώσουμε σαν στο σπίτι μας. Ακόμα και όταν χρειαστήκαμε άμεσα βοήθεια ήταν πρόθυμος και διαθέσιμος να βοηθήσει. Ο Ismail δεν είναι απλώς επαγγελματίας, είναι ένας άνθρωπος που αγαπά αυτό που κάνει και αυτό φαίνεται σε κάθε του κίνηση. Χάρη σε αυτόν, η διαμονή μας ήταν άψογη και αξέχαστη. Τον συνιστούμε ανεπιφύλακτα.

I have never stayed in a Riad before hence I loved this concept Although it’s similar to Airbnb but with staff cooking for you and looking after you in case you need anything

Le Riad est conforme à la description, il est calme, propre et plein de charme. Ismail, notre hôte est plein de très bons conseils (lieux à visiter, lieu de change, petits restaurants sympas, etc....) N'hésiter pas à boire un thé avec lui, c'est très agréable d'échanger avec lui. La dame qui fait le ménage est très gentille et discrète et prépare de très bons petits déjeuners.

La difficulté pour trouver le Riad. Aucun réseau avec orange... Comme il est situé dans la médina et que c'est un vrai labyrinthe c'est un peu compliqué la première fois. :) peut être envisager que le propriétaire envoie en amont la façon de s'y rendre.

Muy limpio todo, impecable. Buena ubicación en medio de todo. Desayuno, si te gusta desayunar dulce, muy bueno. Buena atención y servicio de las personas que lo gestionan

Al ser un Riad con patio interior existe poca intimidad ya que se escucha mucho a las personas que están en el patio hablando al entrar y salir del hotel. Algo difícil de encontrar la puerta de entrada pues el GPS te dice q está en la calle principal cuando la entrada está en el callejón trasero.

Das Personal war super freundlich, und das Frühstück war auch sehr gut. Alles sauber, gute Lage, süße Zimmer. Chippy ist die beste :)

L'emplacement est superbe pour les visites touristiques. Ismail est très serviable pour différentes demandes. Il vous conseillera et aidera sur beaucoup de sujets. Le petit déjeuner et le repas est très bon. La chambre très jolie et calme.

Le lit est un peu petit pour 2. Il faudrait peut-être fournir un plan en avance pour trouver le Riad car ce n'est pas facile dutout. Le repas du soir est un peu cher (20 euros/per) mais il reste excellent.
