Provider-sourced guest reviews.
This was one of the best resorts I stayed on. Very quiet and close to a lot. The beach was right across there is a strip for food and fish market relatively close by and very walkable.
View was nice, staff was very kind (bar staff didn't smile), clean rooms, big paint patch on wall though and lights on one bedside table didn’t work. Food was fine but nothing special. The chef loved their pepper in dishes (too much), items on daily menus not available, too much buffet. Want to be able to order entrees. Also don’t tell the customer how to cook their meet.
The staff was great, the chef was excellent, very nice pool near the entrance to the restaurant and they offered all inclusive packages!
Loved our stay! Nicki and Christina were the best! They were very helpful and friendly.
Nice beach nice rooms.
Very first day, they were no face towels, looking out the sliding glass door was an eye sore , I thought we were making a reservation on a resort we were so wrong. The third night there was a big cockroach running across the floor. We were also told that they didn’t supply face towels. The beach was dirty and lots of seaweed. We like Barbados, but we won’t go back to the hotel again and it only had one restaurant.
Very upscale location. Nice beach Great staff New feeling Underground parking
Best all-inclusive hotel I've ever stayed at. The food was INCREDIBLE. The staff was so personable and helpful. The view of the beach was divine and there was a lovely swimming spot just steps away. It's a short walk to Oistins for some food, dancing, and people watching. I WILL be back next year.
beach is a block down and full of seaweed. rooms are lovely and stay was nice
The Abidah by Accra was the perfect escape for our honeymoon—elegant, serene, and tailored for romance. The adults-only vibe made it feel extra special, and the staff truly went above and beyond to make us feel celebrated. The rooms were immaculate with beautiful views, and we loved the poolside atmosphere and cocktails. Our only real disappointment, which wasn’t the hotel’s fault, was the seaweed along the beach during our visit. Unfortunately, it limited our time in the ocean. That said, the hotel itself was spotless and well-maintained, and we still enjoyed the beautiful coastal views. We’d definitely recommend The Abidah for couples looking for a peaceful, romantic getaway—with the note to check sea conditions depending on the season.
Not the definition of all inclusive when it comes to selection. Only has 1 restaurant and very few selection of liquor and wines. Room was nice but the view wasn’t. The ocean view was horrible, water dirty and a big boat sit in the view the entire trip.
The staff were aaaaall amazing, friendly helpful, great location, looooved the jacuzzi
A bit smaller than expected, however the food, hospitality and staff was exceptional.
Where do I even begin! There wasn't a meal that I didn't absolutely love! The staff were so incredibly sweet and the hotel itself was beautiful. Special shout-out to Jalisa and Andreah who were top notch! Would absolutely come back and can't wait to do so!
Everyone at the hotel was super nice and accommodating. Food at the restaurant was phenomenal!.
I liked the 3 course meals. I liked the ambiance of the hotel plus the secluded , yet accessible location.
The staff was excellent, the food was great, overall had a nice stay , only complaint I have they need to have more toiletries available, I would definitely go back again
This resort is close to the beach. It is all inclusive but very quiet. The rum punch is really good so it adds value to the all inclusive option. It isn't a turn up spot at all. The people are amazing staff is great. The only downside to my review which I would have rated it 5 stars but it's 4. There was a leak on the 1st floor when i first arrived and that leak stayed the entire time. The carpet was wet and it looked crazy as the pipes were showing. But overrall it's an excellent property. Very close to Ostin's fish fry on Fridays. Everyone is very friendly. I would definitely return back. Miami beach is steps away from the resort! Best part is there are no kids running around. You can take the shuttle to the sister resort to visit the beach. I miss it already!
Enjoyed the hot tub, beach and food. Delicious!
Our overall stay was OK, but we did not have wash rags the entire stay. The breakfast and dinner was mediocre. our last day in Barbados a huge cockroach and its babies found its way into our room since it was our last day we decided not to complain. But I guess they had some construction going on because the ceiling on our floor was open. We loved the hot tub on the patio!
Jacobi, Dewaye, Juleesa and a few others were WONDERFUL. The bartenders were GREAT.
Perfect!!!!
Sharon was excellent host and the bartenders omg they was the 💣 the drinks was excellent. Over all enjoyed my stay. Would definitely recommend.
Had a great time in Barbados. The hotel was also great, clean, and staff were friendly. The only downside was the hotel only has one restaurant which is understandable because is not really in a tourist side. Food was ok however, we were able to use the amenities from their sister hotel Accra.
Will stay again.
I loved this hotel it was nice and quiet. The staff was amazing. Shout out to the bartender Rico he was so polite and kind. Everyone that I came in contact with was very helpful and professional. Thank you for a great stay.
What an amazing trip!! The staff were phenomenal!! Could not have asked for a better trip!
The pictures of this property are very outdated and not at all the current condition of the property. Elevator maintenance multiple times, horrible food selection, no entertainment or amenities, huge leaking hole on first floor hallway just left to drip all over the place. Complete disappointment and waste of my hard earned money.
Great food and 90% of staff. Cleanliness was not 100%.I ñad to killl a water bug and an adult rooach. Room has a stong bleach smell.
First… Truly enjoyed staying at this property. Read the reviews and know this isn’t a 5-star property. We did love the staff we made relationships with, enjoyed the food a lot, and loved the location. Our room (grand oceanfront) was also lovely! At checkin, we were told the ac unit wasn’t working + the jacuzzi. We were disappointed and were told we would receive a 10% refund - even signed a form. The ac wasn’t working upon arriving to the room but then later was working. The jacuzzi never worked. Checkout day, I asked about the refund for the units not working and they said it’s easy, just call Expedia. Since the trip, I’ve spent numerous hours on the phone with the property + Expedia. When Expedia and the resort finally connected on the phone together, the resort told Expedia they couldn’t find my reservation. When I talked to the resort, they promised every time it would happen any day. We stayed a week in late March/early April. Still haven’t received any refund even after the property states I should get a 10% refund. So as much as I loved the trip and most of the experiences at the resort, I would not stay here again nor recommend it due to the lack of poor customer service.
10 out of 10!!! The staff, the location the food options where all excellent!. I would not only recommend this resort but am considering re booking this November for my winter break. Honorable mention also goes to Expedia for making this booking so easy. Everything was just as promised without any hidden surprises or disappointments. Thank you all for making this solo birthday vacation so memorable 💖
Very old. The whole thing needs some updating. People were nice. Food was not so good but I always found something edible.
The property was quite comfortable with the beach right there. The staff was amazing, they went above and beyond.... and the dinners were 10 stars 🌟 all the way!!
Beautiful hotel and friendly staff!
I had a good time
I really enjoyed my stay. The staff was super friendly, the bartender was top notch (Andrea) and of course the food was great (Leo). I will return
It's a beautiful room, as shown in the brochure. However, the central air conditioning does not work, and a portable unit is installed through a slider. It's not nearly enough to keep the room cool. The temporary solution looks permanent. The manager said they would get back to me with compensation. I have never heard from them. The website should let guests know what they are getting.
Was informed pool was being shut down right after i arrived and didn't open until day i left
Nice area, close to town. Staff very friendly. Beaches around wasn’t to nice as water was rough. Could be a weather system that caused it.
Property is in beautiful location. Front desk staff provided excellent service. Other hotel staff may need additional training.
All staff members were friendly and willing to assist. Walking distand to Oistins on Friday nights.
Everything was perfect, no complaints. Definitely going back.
A beautiful resort, but, for an all inclusive resort. They should serve better alcohol beverages.
Pictures online was very misleading, the resort did not look anything like the pictures as advertise, the staff was very rude and not friendly, the beach across the street were not swimmable. Hot tub did not work in my room, a/c had issues and was not very pleased with the food provided, also for an all-inclusive resort the bar choices was very limited as well, did not have many options.
Upon arrival I thought the hotel was pretty appealing. Everyone was friendly and ready to assist us with check in. We were offered drinks and were assigned rooms pretty quickly. The rooms were a nice size, with a king sized bed, and there was a ceiling fan in there also. The toilet is in a separate room from the shower. The shower is a little tricky to operate, you have to pull that top handle pretty hard to get the water to flow. The jacuzzi was clean and hot. The food was delicious, we had breakfast, lunch, midday snack and dinner. All the meals were hot, tasty, fresh, and the dinners were plated beautifully. The staff was pretty accommodating with any request or concerns. There was one waitress that was pretty stern and was not very friendly in her responses to our request. Other than that all of the staff is awesome. We were there for Mother’s day and the hotel had a beautiful luncheon with decorations and a small gift for the mothers, they also had entertainment for us on Saturday night. It was really nice. You can walk to the beach, you can walk to the fish fry, there are tables, across from the hotel that is reserved for the guest to sit and watch the ocean. It is super easy to get transportation to anywhere you want to go. The manager helped us to get a special private tour arranged at the last minuet, it was great. The hotel has a type of open air concept so the hallways and dining room all allow fresh air to flow from the outside.
The hotel was in a convenient location for me, across the road from the sea, parking and close to local transport too. My hotel room was absolutely huge - I loved it. The hotel is very well presented and clean, but they just need to keep on top of some general maintenance eg broken wardrobe door handle, wobbly soap dish and a replacement safe not being bolted down. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay there again.
I greatly enjoyed my time here. I would describe it as an all-inclusive boutique hotel. Single building. One pool, restaurant, bar. Delicious food, great drinks, friendly staff. Short walk to the beach, great view. No complaints. I would return.
Loved all the staff. The food was fantastic, you could tell the Chef really cared. As a smaller property he was able to give us a lot of options. Would recommend this hotel and want to come back.
I will definitely come back,i wish it was kid friendly and the Bar opening later..like 12am
The staff is so nice. I would recommend staying here.
The staff was friendly, attentive, and made you feel welcomed. The hotel is walking distance to the beach and Oistins Fish Fry on Friday nights. The pool was clean, the beach was across the street and staff readily go back and forth to accommodate you. It was a great experience and I will be returning!
Upon arrival, I was given a letter to advise room air conditioning was not working. The letter stated a refund would be made. The food was not desirable. All inclusive hotel with limited food choice and can only eat at time scheduled. If you miss it, too bad. Nothing for you to eat. No room services. I have yet to get refund I was promised in writing.
No hot water after midnight , no water for a day. Small inclusive menu. Ceilings need repair. Water faucet sprayed water to the door due to pressure
Wasn't what he expected as far as the property. However, staff and food were excellent
Hotel is very limited ands AC was not working and we requested change of rom with the same category we booked they said they didn’t have and they offered 10% credit if they are to change us to a different category room. We had to make another booking to a different resort to enjoy our vacation.
The stay was amazing. Our room's hot tub was not working but other than that everything was perfect!
This is my second time visiting this hotel and again I have had an amazing time. The management and the entire staff was amazing. I will be returning very soon.
.
We had a wonderful stay at this lovely boutique hotel. Our room, an Ocean View room, was huge, modern and clean and we could see and hear the sea from our balcony. Unfortunately, our hot tub didn't work which was disappointing but the only negative. We were advised to request a refund from our travel provider, which we have received. The food was always top quality and the evening meals always amazing. Staff are always professional and most are friendly. We didn't use the pool area, because with a beach so stunning just over the road, we didn't feel the need. We always got a sun lounger and had cocktails brought to the beach which was an added bonus. The area around the hotel is a little quiet but we managed to get wherever we wanted to go with ease, ofen being picked up and dropped off at our hotel. Would definitely recommend!
It was a good saptay but the food was a bit off. Very clean! Nice staff.
Cleaninesz was not up to part the rugs in hallways are dirty and destroyed. Room attendant doesn't clean the floors when they service the rooms. But overall hotel experience wise was great.
The staff was very friendly, but the food not to appealing . The room was tidy but wifi connection wasnt stable .
Small hotel, great food
The hotel has an intimate feel to it. We didn't feel like guest, but more like being at home with family. The views of the sea, and beautiful sunset was more than amazing. The food and drinks were excellent. Lounging by the pool was relaxing. I recommend this hotel any day.
Rooms were spacious. No problens with a/c or with getting a beach or pool chair. Wait staff and bar tenders were all very attentive. Chef made sure to accommodate my vegetarian diet.
Loved our stay
There still seem to be some bad reviews about this hotel but we would not hesitate in recommending it. Our room was very spacious, well appointed and clean. Everything worked, including the hot tub. One morning the air conditioning broke but this was fixed within an hour. On the same morning the lift also stopped working but maintenance got it fixed within a couple of hours. The pool area is small but we never struggled to get loungers. The food was varied and always delicious. The hotel is quietly situated but in a good location to visit the Oistins Fish Fry on a Friday evening. There is also a bus station there so you can get to most places on the island. The ZR reggae buses pass by frequently if you’re brave enough to take a ride. We took advantage of the shuttle bus to the sister hotel a couple of times and enjoyed our days there. Would recommend the Sunday buffet lunch there, which is accompanied by live music. The beach there is lovely there too, with plenty of loungers and umbrellas. From that hotel you can walk along the coastal Richard Haynes Boardwalk (1 mile each way) plus there’s shops and bars nearby. The staff at the Abidah are all very friendly and helpful. If you’re looking for a small quiet hotel (44 rooms) this is worth trying and we intend to return.
Food was great although a bit salty. Staff were amazing. Beds not the most comfortable could use new mattresses. Overall a good experience and nice to stay at a boutique all inclusive.
We booked for 2 days of alone time during a family vacation. What a disappointment, dirty room, dirty hot tub and shrugs when we complained. I’m a returner, we shall not be returning. Expensive nightmare.
This was the worst all inclusive I have ever stayed at! The smell in the room was horrific…smelled like a septic tank(the taxi drivers kept asking why did we stay there it stinks and they hate coming to pick people up from the property cause it stink)! The food was 2/10 at the resort…the alcoholic beverages as good the first day and after that they tasted like juice extremely sweet….but it was great food and drinks on the beach and around town. We couldn’t get towels as we requested…one time they only bout dry towels and no hand towels said they were out of hand towel(lucky I didn’t have scissors I would have made my own hand towels) ! This whole place needs to closed! I wouldn’t ever stay at a property owed by this place!!!!
The Jacuzzi no working
Trash wouldn’t recommend this place for a sog
Checked in to a freezing cold room. Turned off the air conditioning and the walls and surfaces covered in condensation. Hot tub was the filthiest I’ve ever seen. Finally cleaned after 24 hours but left cold with no instructions on how to heat it up. Extractor fan in bathroom not functioning so more condensation everywhere. Duty Managers beyond useless. I had pre-paid unfortunately, otherwise, it’s not worth even half the price. A total disappointment.
It is a small clean hotel. Rooms are large. Downside, one small dining area....super small buffet. AC did not work in our room for two nights, we were able to move rooms after that for the rest of the trip. The pool is shockingly small. Staff was great.
We had a wonderful stay here. The atmosphere was peaceful and perfect for relaxing. It was exactly what we needed. The food was great, there was a good mix of options and fresh flavors. The location is perfect if you enjoy the beach and if a few steps away. The staff made the experience even better. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, welcoming and helpful. Overall, it was a quiet, relaxing getaway in a beautiful setting with great service. We will definitely go back.
Food choices were very limited, but not bad. Fish was often over cooked. My hot tub was empty and dirty when i arrived, but maintence cleaned and fixed this on the sevond day after i spoke to front desk. Cocktails were consistently good. The pool is small, but plenty of places around it for getting sun. The beach is only a 1 minute walk away. The hotel has limited space on the beach, so it can be hard to claim a lounger/umbrella. The water is great, but there rocks underfoot as you enter/leave the water. I wish i brought water shoes this trip. There are local food places within walking distance if you want to branch out from the buffet on site. The hotel will shuttle you to the larger Accra hotel (max 2 times), which has a bigger beach and great restaurant. You get a wristband while at the other hotel that ensures your all-inclusive status, so you can eat and drink there at no cost. Overall, Abidah was a good stay, with some nice perks.
besides our delayed check in everything else was good. I did feel like we could’ve been upgraded a room or given some sort of incentive for the inconvenience especially choosing this property for a special trip.
The staff seemed nice but did not pay attention to details when confirmed with them several times. My husband booked a massage for us but when he went to double check there was nothing noted about a massage. I asked for laundry services and I was told to leave it in the bag on the bed. After coming back the room was cleaned but the clothes were never taken for laundry service. The hot tub was not clean, a part was missing inside, and a screw was loose on it.
Jacuzzi in balcony.
This hotel is not as advertised.....Honestly for a tourist it's in a very very unsafe rural area. The neighborhood was not at all described in the description otherwise we would not have booked this hotel. The same night minutes after checking in we had to book another hotel in a safer area. I am currently in the process to get a partial refund for what was supppsed to be a 4night stay....Although there is a 24hr cancelation policy I have filed a dispute with my bank since I'm within 24hrs of the lasg (2 nights) of my stay. Rightfully I deserve a PARTIAL refund for false advertisement of the room AND the neighborhood area.
We had the absolute best time at the Abidah. The grounds were perfect. Loved the quaint neighborhood and the beach is 60 second walk away. You could walk right down to Oistins too for fun any night. It was totally perfect. Staff was so attentive and went above and beyond. Special shout out to Nikki at the front desk, Sharona, Kyle and Kristina in the dining room and Victor and Andreah at the bar. Truly Everyone was wonderful and We felt so spoiled and taken care of. And the chef was fantastic!!! Wonderful food and drinks all around. Fun music playing all the time. Would definitely recommend it to anyone and will be back one day! Thank you Abidah for the best honeymoon ever.
the ambiance, the cleanliness and the staff. When I booked my trip I was a bit nervous as this was a solo trip. Upon arrival the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The front desk staff, waitress and housekeeper they were all nice. However, the only issue I had was that they didn’t make a celebration as big as other countries I visited. I was celebrating my 50th. I had make mention but no card or special treatments.
Had an amazing time staff are so helpful friendly The chef went out of his way as I’m gluten free cooking me personally amazing meals . Food is excellent room lovely big Hot tub slightly annoying as had to keep asking for it to be heated up. Waiter bought us drinks round pool and on the beach and even to my partner who was fishing in front of the hotel couldn’t ask for More . Can’t wait to find another deal so we can come back . I did exercises on the beach with locals at 6am so welcoming can’t local vibe about the area . Did Ositins fish market great fun Plus got up went in local bus 6am on a Sunday saw them take race horses in the swim at pebbles beach . We t to sister hotel on free shuttle bus beach fab much nicer walked the Broadwalk but hotel old Abidah far nicer . Thank you to all the staff Trish and Ian
My stay at The Abidah hotel was nothing short of awesome. From Nikki at check-in who made sure our welcome mat was placed to the bartenders Rico and Kyle who made our drinks with love and other staff. The room was beautiful, jacuzzi was relaxing and the food was awesome from breakfast to dinner. I will definitely recommend The Abidah Hotel!
It’s nice and quiet especially for older age population! Right across the street from the beach.
Great location great staff !! Except for one roach on the vanity top in the washroom .. don't know how that got there. ... water control were confusing both in the shower and the hot tub. ... labels/ markings would have work out fine.
Most staff very helpful and friendly. Relaxing vibe, so much better than bigger hotels
Rooms and property are beautiful! Easy walk to oistins area and Miami/enterprise beach. Wouldn’t return though. Staff seemed like they didn’t want to be there. Was only here for 5 days but seemed like the bartender/front desk staff was missing half the time. Breakfast is weak, like an American motel breakfast buffet. It was all inclusive but we went elsewhere for most of our food/drinks. Was hard to get chairs from the hotel on the beach- when i go to the beach i don’t Want to wait 30min for someone to get a chair. Don’t see this place lasting longterm heard it’s for sale so might be why staff were uninterested. So much potential but seriously lacking! Wished i stayed In my air bnb for the entirely of my stay in Barbados instead of this place.
I throughly enjoyed my stay at Abidah. We were welcomed by incredible rum punch and afternoon tea. I stayed in an Island View room with a hot tub which was beautiful, spacious and looked just like the pictures. Abidah is centrally located by Oistins, so it was easy to get around town while also being right next to the beach — locals said that it’s the best beach in the area too! The food at the restaurant was exquisite and picturesque and we never waited long for our food. I want to shout out Neil and Tyrell who were amazing and hospitable during our stay. Tyrell made the best rum punch I ever tasted!! I will mention that the hotel could pay particular attention to maintenance issues. The AC never worked during our entire stay and we did notify the front desk about it. There weren’t a lot of bugs but I did see a couple in the bathroom, it might be a good idea for the establishment to look into this also. Other than this, I would still come back to Abidah. Thanks for a lovely first time in Barbados!
Loved the food the staff the beach and quiet location
No paper towels in the place. Had to use kleenex to dry hands. They told me that was what they wanted us to use.
This was my husband's and my first visit to this island and we truly enjoyed it. I am glad I picked Abidah by Accra. Small boutique hotels appeal to us and the location gave us an opportunity to experience local culture. Our room was spacious and clean, which is important to us. All the food was very good and the staff personable and helpful. We had no issues finding empty sun beds by the pool or on the beach as some reviewers mention. We did have an air-condition give up on us but it was quickly addressed. We had a lovely time!!! And take it easy with the rum punch...
Had a great time with my bestfriend ! 2nd time in Barbados and couldn’t of had a better experience. Everyone, was so friendly and accommodating. Would most certainly come back. We had a great experience in the hot tub with some champagne, everyone was wishing me a happy birthday and went out their way to make it special for me too!
Barbados is great. The people are amazing. This property has seen better days. The maintenance has been lacking and the menu is slacking. Some great people on staff some that make it seem like you are putting them out to do their job. Room was not cleaned several times during stay. Will come back to Barbados but not here.
The staff, especially the front desk, really didn't seem to care all that much. They did not know much of what there was to do in the area, they seemed to only do what was minimally necessary and were not all that upbeat. The all inclusive food was modest and not all that creative. A couple of the dining wait staff did seem a bit more customer oriented. The trip to their partner facility was okay and worth taking for a better beach, better facility and a better area around that hotel. All in all, just a modest place to stay that was not a good value for the price.
On arrival late afternoon, couldn’t get into hotel due to FOGGING, (fumigating) waited outside at least an hour, eventually got into room 204, Hugh room a/c was nice and cool, although as advertised we had a hot tub on the balcony which was empty and no electrics ,went to reception who first apologised and said she would log it , then immediately said to contact your agent (we booked through expedia) to claim a refund which I done when returned home and got a refund of £426 it pays to complain, Then we noticed no safe, but had one installed , limited pool area sun beds , beach sun beds were never on time, food was very good if it wasn’t there you could ask for something else, lack of seating outside, we did have cockroaches in our room as did other guests, also I never saw the pool being cleaned, above the waterline was not clean plus the stainless steel ladder was rotten. Small things which could be avoided,Andraeth was a star remembered our drinks and names.
The Abidah Hotel is a friendly and relaxed environment. The staff were great and very helpful. I would like to extend my thanks to the lovely Sharon who made our stay very special and so much fun, I think she liked my rendition of Suspicious Minds 😎Also Andreah behind the bar kept us lubricated throughout our stay. The food was lovely. Once again thanks to all the staff for a fab stay.
Small friendly hotel, good breakfast but some of the evening meals left a lot to be desired. Lack of room round the pool and you have to be up early to get a sun bed, people tend to put towels on them and go to breakfast or leave for most of day empty with just a towel on it. Beach is lovely but sometime struggle to get sun bed too. Room was large and maid came daily, hot tub worked but air con was broke and had mobile unit in room. I would suggest you request a room on at least 2nd floor, we were in room 112 and looked out at black plastic screening. Maintenance left a lot to be desired, but we were told by other guests that it was up for sale. Went to sister hotel and also told by guests there that maintenance issues and also up for sale.
Food was ordinary. AC was located over our the bed and noisy. Tv plug was broken Room was a good size and comfortable. I would not go back
I recommend this place is walkable to the beach and to great food in the area
