Very nice place and friendly staff! Comfortable bed and nice pool. Pretty quiet area and close to beach. Several places around within walking distance. “Guard dog Macy” was amazing.

Internet could come and go occasionally but not that big of a deal usually.

Un lugar viejo, huele mal, mientras llegamos se fue la electricidad y todo funciona a base de ella, por lo que no había iluminación, no podía utilizar el sanitario ni siquiera el portón para los carro porque porque también es eléctrico...

The Image of this house is not where you are renting but instead you are only givin a converted garage with only two beds and none of the offered service. They even said “Since there are 4 people, you can share a bed for 2 each”. They were also wanting to charge an additional price for all the other stuff. The reservation was made on the same day I went however they are still charging my card up to this day.

Lovely balconies and a beautiful classic house.

We stayed on the first warm Saturday night of the spring so it got noisy being near an entrance to the beach.

The house is charming with a lot of potential. The location is excellent, close to the beach, good restaurants, convenience stores, etc. The best thing was the hospitality by Channon and his wife who were lovely, friendly, and dedicated to making everyone feel welcomed. We were happy to see the guests enjoying the common areas, and while we prefer more privacy, I can appreciate the community spirit fostered here.

The interior is tired and needs updating. The carpets felt dirty and weirdly squishy. I appreciate that this property welcomes pets, and ideally there would be no carpeting for pets to accidentally ruin. We were excited to stay here based on the photos, but in person the interior felt much darker and heavier than expected. Even during the day, we needed to turn on multiple lights, and the thick drapes and heavy wood finishes made the rooms feel closed in. The furniture and décor are solid and traditional, but combined with the dim lighting, it gave the house a slightly gloomy atmosphere rather than a relaxing getaway vibe.

Staff were excellent at keeping the place spotless.

Jacuzzi was dirty and location was not steps to the beach. No breakfast available but not sure we would have availed ourselves anyway. Restaurants were far away and nothing to do in the vicinity.

Prime location, across the street from the beach. Hospitality and cleanliness was a 10/10. The hosts will work with you to accommodate special requests. Looking forward to staying here again.

The hosts Channon and Stephanie were amazing. They went out of their way to make us feel at home. Hermosa inn is a must stay.

We can see why this place has good ratings. It's not too big, so service was personal and quick. The place has an easy charm that makes it comfortable and unhurried. What really stands out, though, is how quickly the problems and questions are addressed. No place is perfect, of course, but when something's not quite right (or in this case when I didn't know how to do a thing), what stands out is how issues and questions are handled. Their enthusiastic handling alone would be enough to warrant good reviews. Add on to that their helpful and excellent recommendations for local food and things to do, reasonable prices, nice accommodations and a wonderful location quite literally across the street from the beach, and it definitely deserves five stars. We look forward to going again soon.

Very secure, great location, and clean! The owners Derek and Ann make this place feel like home! They are super welcoming and invited me out with them to show me live music and great restaurants! They know the whole area! Couple mins walk to the beach! Warm pool and hot tub. Book in advance if it’s high tourist season!

Martin was an excellent host. Very easy and cheap Uber ride to the downtown area although there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance as well. We had a great visit and plan to return and stay with Martin.

Cute property, well cared for. The staff is fantastic and did everything they could to make our stay great! Walk to the beach in 5 minutes and lots of places to eat and drink close by. We will be back for sure!

Beautiful room and balcony overlooking the ocean! Great customer service and amazing breakfasts. Safe inside parking and walking distance to many restaurants and of course the beach.

Everything was perfect and very good advises from Derek, and the travel back to US was perfect. Very clean, close to the pacific, safe parking, and the bed was perfect to recover.

Nothing was wrong

Wonderful location and service. Very attentive and breakfast was just wonderful. Short walk from the beach and short drive to city center. Some may complain that it does not have the conveniences and amenities of a hotel, but for a B&B, it was great. Trip was too short to really take advantage of the huge balconies and pool, so looking forward to visiting again.

There is nothing left to be desired. Derek is an AWESOME host. Blueberry pancakes eggs and bacon in the morning. Pretty much every amenity that anyone could want at your fingertips. Too many restaurants a few minutes walk away.

The location was perfect right off the beach with quick access. The owner Derek is amazing, very friendly and very attentive to any needs you may have. I have never stayed at a Bnb before and was really just our last available option but by far the best thing that could’ve happened on the trip. I am pregnant and cannot stop thinking about the complimentary breakfast of blueberry pancakes definitely best I’ve ever had. My parents are Mexican and very difficult they wanted to cancel right away but after two nights fell in love saying they will definitely stay there from now on since they go every year to visit family and have never had such a relaxing stay. 10/100 recommend. It was so quiet and so relaxing, best trip ever. I can’t find the words to express how grateful we were to find this little spot and hope to stay there again soon!

Wonderful place. We really enjoyed our stay. Our room was consisted of a bedroom with a king bed and a living area with a twin bed, as well as a pretty fully equipped kitchen - fridge, microwave, toaster oven, a hot plate, some dishes etc. Also a hot tub on the enclosed balcony. The owner was super friendly and helpful, gave us a lot of information about the area,

The staff and management were very cordial and they serve an excellent breakfast. This was our first B&B and we found we liked it much more than a hotel. We liked that the pet deposit was fully refundable.

Very picky about beds and we slept like babies on the king suite bed! Breakfast was delicious, house dogs were friendly and service was great. Nice views from the balconies, super close to the beach and only 2.5 miles to the downtown area. Would go back again!

While the breakfast portion of this bed and breakfast was decent the bed part was sorely lacking. The room smelled bad -- musty was the word my girlfriend used to describe it. The TV remote couldn't adjust the volume. And despite being near the beach there was ZERO view of anything but the neighboring lot. Some might find the place "charming" but it was a very disappointing experiencing for us.

I like the privacy and the fact that there's not too many rooms it make you feels safe, the pancakes are very delicious in the morning with coffee

Love the place, nice and cozy, close to the beach.

The host was genuine, he was friendly and very helpful. My husband and I enjoyed the game room and the walks on the beach which was just across the way. I am planning on staying there on my visits back to Ensenada.

A very nice and quiet B&B near the ocean. They called the day before to verify our arrival time which was very nice. The house had everything that we needed for our stay. Victor was very friendly. Although we only stayed one night, we are deifnitely considering a longer stay the next time we are in the area.

What we liked; security for the property was great, room and vehicles. The property is about 10min from downtown so if your looking for the bar scene its an 8$ taxi ride, but excellent to walk across the street and enjoy the beach. The staff was amazing and very helpful, I would say the only down would be the bath fixtures, which seemed out dated.

Derick was very friendly and breakfast was excellent. Beach was just one block away. I would definitely come back again.

What can i tell you? This is the best place to stay if you visit Ensenada, we felt like home away from home, you just cross the street and there is the beach, 7 eleven and oxxo are a few steps, several eateries around the corner and from walking distance from there,room booklet will give you some more recommendations to eat. Free wi-fi, continental breakfast and weekends you will have a sit in one (thanks Vicente) beds are really comfy, Uber to downtown is about 10/15 minutes and around 4 or 5 dollars. I had read other reviews of Playa Hermosa Bed and Breakfast before booking and concur with their reviews. Derek was friendly, accomodating and made some great blueberry pancakes. The location is great and nice to have secure parking.

Our stay was pleasant. Derek was extremely helpful in all aspects of our visit even suggesting his known places to visit. A concern any outsider would have just exploring unknowingly and having had less than enjoyable stays, Playa Hermosa bed & breakfast was relaxing and very comfortable, we would recommend it to our friends and we are planning on going back.

The host was very freindly and attentive. No technology friendly.

Get place to stay, very friendly. Let us know about stuff that’s around that you can do. Just an overall great stay I highly recommended.

Great location for getting around, easy to find and lots of parking in compound. Pool table and balconies are a plus

The location was perfect and the owners Derrick and Shari were friendly and knowledgeable. I would stay here again. The only downside was the hot water in the shower, it took a while to warm up and then would get cold or we would lose water pressure intermittently. A minor inconvenience in comparison to the beautiful home.

My daughter and I took a quick get away from SanDiego and spent one night here. We both loved it and hope to come back and spend a few days. The facility is secure and right across the street from a beautiful beach. Very nice relaxing experience with a comfortable room, lounge, library, pool table, some exercise equipment and beautiful top floor patio with ocean view and the best home made breakfast I've had for a long time! Shari and Derek were very accommodating and welcomed our Chocolate Lab too. They are planning to add a pool in the near future. Not the hustle bustle of a larger hotel, more like relaxing with very good friends.

My wife and I had a very pleasant experience. This was our first time at a B&B and we really enjoyed our stay. Very friendly owners. Close to the beach, secure parking. Away from the crowds of downtown. I would recomend Playa Hermosa to anyone.
