Nuestra estadía en esta cabaña en Rapa Nui fue simplemente maravillosa. La vista es espectacular; despertar cada mañana con ese paisaje fue una experiencia inolvidable. La cabaña es muy cómoda, acogedora y está equipada con todo lo necesario para disfrutar de una estadía tranquila y relajante. Además, la anfitrióna fue extraordinaria: siempre atenta , amable y dispuesta a ayudarnos con cualquier consulta o necesidad. Sin duda, un lugar totalmente recomendado para quienes quieran disfrutar de la magia de Rapa Nui en un entorno cómodo, silencioso y con una vista privilegiada. ¡Volveríamos felices! 🌺🌊✨

Acogedor, limpio

It was a few kilometers away from town with a view of fields and the ocean. Everything was very peaceful and the morning sunrises over the ocean were fantastic. The place was tastefully decorated and very, very clean. We enjoyed it so much. We have stayed in more expensive places that were no where near as nice as Maunga Roa.

The only thing we didn't like about the place was that we had to leave. Seriously

The accommodation is beautifully furnished with a great view, making it a very pleasant place to stay. The host is friendly and helpful, offering useful advice and recommendations. However, it is located a bit far from the starting points of organized tours, so you will need a car to reach them. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place.

Sensacional! Carla e sua família são anfitriões incríveis. Fomos muito bem recebidos e nos sentimos em casa. O local estava sempre muito limpo e sem bichos, o que parece ser uma exceção na região, rodeada de mato. Alugamos um carro diretamente com a proprietária e foi uma decisão extremamente acertada. Foi uma estadia mágica, recomendo 100%!!! Iorana!!!

É um pouco afastado do centro, então alugar um carro é essencial. Com carro, é perfeito! Se tiver que apontar algo “negativo”, que na verdade é mais uma questão de alinhamento de expectativas, é a impossibilidade do uso de secador de cabelo (a energia cai). Fora isso, amamos tudo!

Это идеальное место на острове. Лучше и не могло быть. Нам всё понравилось. Кровать и подушки удобные. Очень чисто в домике. Территория зеленая и ухоженная. Тихо и спокойно вокруг. Изумительный вид на океан. На окнах москитные сетки. Карла нас встретила в аэропорту и помогла арендовать машину. Дала всю необходимую информацию по острову. Мы однозначно рекомендуем это место.

Нужно иметь ввиду, что домик находится за городом и до него на машине добираться минут 10. Кому-то это будет неудобно, но для нас это было плюсом, так как любим уединение.

We loved every minute of our stay. Carla and her family were welcoming and kind. The cabin was beautiful. The view was serene. It is about 15 minutes out of town so renting a car is a good idea. The hotel helped with this and gave us better treated than we found online!

My favorite place during our trip to Chile!!! Absolutely amazing spot, hidden gem, super comfortable. We stayed in the cabin for a family or 4 people, with very nice style and good rooms. The host provided us with all the necessary information and helped out to find the guide. Truly lovely place, 100 percent recommend! Breathtaking view!

O tamanho da cabana e a possibilidade de ver o nascer do sol. O facto de me deixarem fazer o check-out até às 12.00 (ao invés das 10.00).

A distância da cidade (cerca de 7 kms). O hotel é numa estrada de terra e a maioria dos táxis não vai buscar ou levar os turistas à porta, deixando-nos num entroncamento a 20 minutos a pé do Lodge. De noite não há qualquer luz no caminho de terra, o que dificulta a caminhada. Para além disso, quando aluguei o quarto foi-me dito que me iam buscar e levar ao aeroporto. Foram-me apenas buscar. Por fim, a resposta às mensagens por WhatsApp também poderia ser mais rápida.

A acomodação é maravilhosa. A vista é sensacional. O Atendimento é impecável.

Very nice welcome from Carla at the airport. We communicated very easily with WhatsApp and she gave great explanations about the town and recommendation for a taxi driver. The lodge is very peaceful, surrounded by farms and large windows to enjoy the sea view. The place is extremely clean and spacious, very quiet.

Just to note you need to rent a vehicle to stay here or use taxis

Wspaniałe miejsce. Domek fantastyczny, czysty, świetny taras z widokiem na ocean - wspaniałe wschody słońca. Właścicielka -Carla równie fantastyczna, jak i jej mama, która zajmowała się na miejscu domkami. Obiekt jest oddalony od stolicy wyspy, dlatego konieczne jest wynajęcie samochodu- ale to nie problem. Polecamy to miejsce!

Super ruhige Lage, aber nur mit eigenem Leihwagen erreichbar den man über die Unterkunft erhalten kann. Das Bett war das beste unserer ganzen Reise. Ganz klare Empfehlung, denn im Ort hätten wir nicht wohnen wollen.

Es hat Mücken dort die bei der Dämmerung raus kommen, vermutlich sind sie unter dem Haus das keinen Bodenkontakt hat. Darum konnten wir weder morgens noch abends draußen sitzen. Ein Mückennetz im Bad und am kleineren Fenster im Schlafzimmer wären hilfreich. Dennoch würden wir diese Unterkunft jederzeit wieder buchen.

Eine absolute „Piste“ zur Unterkunft

El alojamiento es completamente nuevo cabañas espectaculares!!! la limpieza de la cabaña. Todos los días fue muy buena, nosotros salíamos con toda la calma a las 10 de la mañana y ellos se encargan de hacer el aseo completo.

La verdad no hay nada que no me haya gustado la vista que tiene el mar y un sector más rural, me encantó estás a 15 minutos del pueblo en auto alejado de todo lo que es boliche, restaurantes. Movimiento del turista en sí, por lo que para mí fue un agrado.

The hostess, Carla, is extremely friendly and helpful, really helped make our stay enjoyable.

The access road to the property is in bad shape (like many dirt side roads on Rapa Nui) and there is a gate and key to gain entry, which can be a hassle. The sun can be intense in the afternoon and the unit gets hot.

This was a lovely place to stay with superb views. Very dark skies so perfect for astrophotography. They met me at the airport with my rental car which they arranged and took me to the bungalow which is set in lovely grounds. Very clean and the owners spoke excellent english and were very, very helpful. Always available on Whatsapp.

It was ok but the track down to the bungalow is interesting and there was no microwave or oven in the bungalow which limited cooking options but found restaurants in town.

El lugar maravilloso, tiene una vista espectacular de la isla y el amanecer 🌅, Carla muy amable te espera en el aeropuerto con esos collares preciosos, te explica todo como funciona la isla, lugares , todo, te esperan y te dejan todos los dias plátanos de su propia cosecha, exquisitos y su mamá un amor de persona, todos muy amables. La cabaña 1000% recomendada, solo se respira paz en ese lugar, increíble para descansar.

It was clean, staff friendly and helpful.

No hairdryer; I can’t let my hair wet as it produced me headache, so I didn’t was the hear this days. Have a hairdryer will be a good thing to have.

Las cabañas son cómodas, bien equipadas, y la vista del amanecer es precioso. Están un poco alejadas, pero en realidad en auto desde acá uno está a 20 min de todo.

La loza era para 4 personas, y éramos 5. No hay horno, sólo quemadores, y un pequeño frigobar. Igual cocinábamos poco y tenía lo suficiente para prepararse un rico desayuno. Uno de los días, se hizo aseo, pero no las camas. Nunca tuvimos tan clara la política de aseo, pero la verdad tampoco preguntamos tanto.

Estava tudo ok, fomos bem atendidos e sempre tinha fruta que deixavam, a cama quentinha, confortável.

A parte do banho é uma cápsula bem apertada e vasava água, achei mto apertado e sou uma pessoa pequena, mas meu esposo teve mais dificuldade. Apesar da água ser quente e ter bastante água, essa questão de ser apertado é bem desconfortável

Que sin previo aviso, y sin ninguna justificación creíble, al cuarto día de estancia me cambiaron de una cabaña a otra moviendo todas mis cosas. Esto fue inaceptable, y no recibí ninguna compensación por ello.

Maunga Roa Eco Lodge is very cozy in a quiet and peaceful location with a beautiful view to the greenery and ocean. It’s just a 15 minutes drive to the main town. They clean the house everyday and the host is friendly and helpful. We enjoyed having breakfast on the balcony while watching sunrise. Would highly recommend!

The space was great. Bungalows were nice

No heating or a/c. We were there during winter and it got really cold. Also didn’t have hot water and had to forego showering on 2 occasions which is not acceptable for a 4 star hotel

The apartment gets cleaned every couple of days. the staff is great, especially the cleaning personal.

Booking has marked the property in completely location. Following the booking location took us an hour to drive around very bad roads before figuring out it’s wrong. When I brought this up with the staff she was unhappy about my complain and blamed me for using booking.com map. The location was very inconvenient anyway.

Very clean and good view.

There were a lot of mosquitoes, especially after it rained. Since there were no window screens, we had to keep the windows closed or burn mosquito coils to keep them out. The room didn’t have air conditioning; although we were given a fan, we couldn’t open the windows, so the air quality was poor. My wife and I got bitten by mosquitoes every day. Although Booking.com listed the check-out time as 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, we were required to check out at 10:00 AM. The host explained that the actual check-out time depends on the circumstances. The hot water in the shower only lasts for about ten minutes. After that, it immediately turns cold, so you have to turn off the shower, wait two to three minutes, and then turn it on again to reset.

Spacious cabin. Great view. Good beds. Excellent cleaning. Great location.

The location is a dream. Away from the tourist traps, it was an authentic Rapa Nui experience. We felt like kings in the 2 bedroom Bungalow. The hosts were extremely sweet and very helpful and personally came to pick us up at the airport. The fact that they rent their cars out to you is super convenient as well.

The house is tiny, so it is very romantic and cosy. It is in the wilderness of the island, and you can actually see sunrise from your bed! But that is just one thing. The hosts are fantastic, they rented me a car (no papers needed, no credit-card) and they even put flowers everyday in the house, after cleaning (which was not necessary, but they still did it every day!!) AND they drove us to the airport, too!! (Thank you so much for everything!)

I only had 1 night on Easter Island (RapaNui) but what a great place to stay ! Carla the host, picked me up from the airport and couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. I also took up the offer of using one of their cars as rental for 24hrs. A must do to give you the freedom to drive around yourself. The property was fantastic. Quiet, clean, comfortable with open views to the coast. And the night sky (if clear) - wow ! Thanks Carla for a memorable stay 🙏😀

Host was welcoming, location was beautiful, and place was clean. Car rental was easy.

Even though it's an echo lodge, I expected a warm, dry place to sleep, which this is not it. I booked because of the great reviews, which probably occurred during summer. It rained often while we were there, and we were expected to get out on a muddy road to lock a gate even though she said the area is safe. There were no amenities you would expect at this price point compared to other lodgings on the island. We had no hot water at all because they turned off gas, which was unpleasant after long flights and a cold, rainy day. Once they turned it on, still not warm enough. The showers are very small and do not drain and leak. They did give us extra blankets when we asked, but no dry towels as other reviews mentioned. I was told checkout was 10am even though the listing said later. I came to enjoy and relax, but I could not do so because I was harassed for payment every day and overall uncomfortable. We offered to pay the first day with a credit card, but she asked for cash (listing said cc were taken). The atm did not work for us, and her card reader did not work. So bring cash from the mainland as this is understandably a remote island. And only book in summer.

The location was perfect for what I wanted...Quiet and solitude. If you want to walk to restaurants book a room in town. The location seemed to be 1,000,000 miles away from civilization, but in fact, it was only 14 minutes from town. I felt like I had the best of both worlds. The view from my bedroom window and patio was picture perfect. Watching the sun come up every morning filled my heart and soul. Sidenote: This site has a glitch and will not allow me to give staff, facilities and cleanliness a rating. Staff (the owner) was a kind and generous woman. The facility and cleanliness was top-notch.

I would've liked some teabags or instant coffee in the room. It would've been a perk to starting my mornings in such a beautiful location. That would be my only request if I stay there again.

Maunga Roa Eco Lodge made our stay in Easter Island an absolute dream. The home was beautiful, decorated very nicely, quiet, and the absolute most amazing view one could have on the island. You are away from the hustle and noise from the town and can truly have a retreat with peace and quiet. The host was amazing and made sure everything was perfect. We enjoyed coffee on the covered deck overlooking distant Ahu and the ocean and even cooked a couple meals in the well appointed kitchen. Every day there were fresh towels and bath mats, we even got some fresh eggs from the hosts farm. You will love this gem of a retreat. The view alone is simply worth it. My partner and I had an AMAZING stay at Maunga Roa Eco Lodge. It is family run and they are incredible people. We would go back just to visit them. The bungalow was immaculate and so beautiful. You could tell they took a lot of pride in it. We really enjoyed waking up there and having coffee on the porch while looking at the waves from afar. Beautiful grass for yoga, they had bikes for us to use for a 25 mile ride around the island, and they were also so flexible with the rental car. Carli, our host, even offered to meet us at the airport to do our final check-out so that we could enjoy the island with the car as long as possible. She was extremely kind and generous. Maunga Roa even left us fresh eggs and a few pineapples that were grown in the garden right outside of our door. Rapa Nui was so special, but the main reason we want to go back is for the people. This Eco Lodge was beyond perfect. We only wished we stayed longer.

Kind home owners, clean and beautiful facilities wotg surroundings. Very easy car rental from the home owner. Tap water is so clean, and it is drinkable. Fresh welcome fruits and eggs available. Very lovely family owned lodge.

The bumpy off-road drive to home was long and a challenge for us.

We loved staying here; the porch is cozy and overlooks the ocean and family farm. The building was well kept and comfortable. The views were incredible! Karla and her family were wonderful hosts, checking in on us and willing to help with things like tours. The cottage is about 15 minute drive to town. We rented a car from the family and had no trouble getting around. They picked us up and dropped us at the airport too.

The cottage is quite lovely with a beautiful scenery. The hosts are amazing! They were attentive to my needs and provided eggs, tomatoes and pineapples. I was very sad to leave after my two week stay. I will be back!

Beautiful property exactly as described! Carli is super nice and friendly and picked us up from the airport for free and showed us around town and let us stop by the market to buy food before checking in. There’s 2 free mountain bikes to use at the property too, and also she has a car you can rent for cheaper than what rental car companies charge.

Road is a disaster, and very poor indication to reach. In case of strong rain it could be risky to reach the home safe.

Easter Island is an amazing place! And we are happy that we chose this house to stay in. We spent a week there and didn't want to leave at all. The breathtaking ocean view, the tranquility, and the cleanliness were outstanding. The hosts even changed the bathroom mats and kitchen towels every day. It was especially delightful to have fresh farm eggs and bananas delivered to us. We really want to come back again! Thank you for this wonderful week. It is important to note that the location is quite remote, and a car is necessary. We rented a car directly from the hosts without any bureaucracy.

Carla and her family were the kindest hosts. The wifi worked better at Maunga Roa than it did at our hotel in Santiago. We really enjoyed our stay.

This place is absolutely awesome, it has a picture perfect view of the ocean and the rough cliffs of the island. Waking up to such a view through the large windows is a real treat. The host was also very caring and helpful with all kind of things, even providing free range eggs and fruit from their farm. You can rent their car or use the free mountainbikes they provide to explore the island or go into town. The cabin has everything you need and is nicely decorated and very clean. You have a lot of privacy, there's only one other bungalow on the property. The star gazing was unbelievable. I would definitely choose this property when returning to the island.

it is absolutely beautiful! sea views and big sky! we had everything we needed. it was sparkling clean with comfortable bed and little living room and kitchen. we had a veranda with table and chairs. wonderful! we were treated to champagne and fruit for our anniversary. our hosts were wonderful. Always responded immediately

just be aware that the last 1/2 mile of road is very rough. Driving slowly is a must!

Great place with extremely helpful owners! Located in the center of the island gives to an option to be on a beach oa in the city in 15 minutes with a car (that you can conveniently rent at the lodge- highly recommended as the price is fair and you greatly minimize the paperwork;) in the night it is silent and perfect place for stargazing! And don't forget about a juicy pineapples!

This self contained fully equipped eco lodge is spacious, very clean, with a balcony overlooking the farm to an amazing view of the ocean and sunrise. Hot water shower and flushing toilet is not a problem at all though you have to be mindful of your usage of electricity as this eco lodge is powered by solar battery. Hire of a vehicle is definitely a must for this accommodation as it’s about 10-minutes distance from the town area and about 5 minutes on a bumpy road to reach the lodge. Mobile Wifi is provided which is really good to enable us bring along round the island and to communicate with the host and should there be any need arising. All in all it was a very pleasant and comfortable 7 days stay for us here. The hosts are very friendly and we like their motivation to provide the best!
