Reviewed Aug 18, 2026I expected less than what we got, very well maintained and looked after property. Everything you needed was supplied, very neat and clean and everything was in place. Hats off to the management and staff, we will definitely be visiting there again.
We did not see the big 5, lol. But nothing from the Ouklip, we really enjoyed the stay

Reviewed Aug 11, 2026The facilities were well laid out. The tent set-up was comfortable. The verandah/ kitchen was just right; no need to run around from one end to the other. The braai (BBQ) area was awesome, with enough tools to get the fire burning and the cooking taken care of. Bathroom setup was amazing. Open shower was great. Bath was big enough for two of us to share.

Spijtig dat er geen ontbijt kan gegeven worden. Winkeltje aanwezig maar vooral enkel drank.

Reviewed Jun 12, 2026I loved it here. The tents are kind of close to each other so definitely recommend staying during the weekdays so other people dont disrupt your peace. But otherwise it was wonderful. Oukilp's animals even came to visit us by iur tent during dinner. They were lovely. All the animals were actually. A family of zebras came to visit outside the fence as well so we were very lucky to have seen them. Overall this place exceeded my expectations. Definitely coming back with the whole fam.
As mentioned, I recommend staying during the weekday as the tents aren't exactly super far from each other and some people don't really know how to cater to noise levels in places like this. Lots of loud gossiping, and music. But this is hardly the fault of Oukilp.

I would've liked a restaurant and pub on site :) but this is purely personality speaking. Ouklip is self catering and for that purpose it doesn't disappoint.

The roads are not fit for a city type car, definitely will think about an off roader cause the ride was quite uncomfortable and the directions were tricky aswell.

We loved sitting around the boma fire for a braai and roasting marshmallows. We would love to visit again!

Each tent is so cozy and private and our daughter just loves the animal farm, and bucks roaming around. Both swimming pools are perfectly situated, and we love the shop,filled with anything and everything you can think of! We will be seeing you soon!!!

Reviewed Apr 2, 2026Gorgeous environment surrounded by bush. The accommodation is clean; in good condition and comfortable. The swimming pool is lovely and there is enough shade for you to sit under. The game vehicle is in good condition and the game ranger was knowledgeable and taught us a lot about wildlife.
The game drive is very expensive and you are not guaranteed to see many animals. You need to pay additional to have your tent cleaned daily.

From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the immaculate condition of the tent—every detail was thoughtfully prepared and flawlessly maintained. There is a private Boma at every tent. You have a beautiful view. This was a truly luxurious camping experience. Gilbert and Wilma are outstanding hosts whose warmth and hospitality made us feel immediately welcome.

Accommodation and facilities are pristine, with everything available at your fingertips. Gilbert & Wilma are fantastic hosts and went out of their way to make our bush experience one to be remembered forever. Will definitely be back!

We really had a very relaxing weekend and really enjoyed building a fire for a braai and even roasting marshmallows. The facilities are amazing, there was everything we needed. WiFi is charged per device! Cleaning services are also charged separately on a daily rate, including changing the bedding. Why can’t everything be included in the price? That was a huge turn off for me😒
