Buen hotel, excelente desayuno, buenas instalaciones con piscina estupenda, retirado de la playa pero con servicio de traslado desde el hotel

It is an amazing resort in a very beautiful location. The entrance and the general feeling of the resort is very positive. Very nice staff, amazing buffet dinner and breakfast. Great parking availability on site. We only stayed for one night, but will definitely return there again.

The wc flushing got stuck but upon reporting it, they immediately sent someone to fix it and they did a great job.

Na fotkách vypadá trochu jinak, spousta budov byla od jiných pronajímatelů a my měli pokoj víceméně v podzemí, bez balkonu, zhruba 9m čtverečních, nebylo kam pověsit ručník ani nic jiného. Snídaně byly dobré, bazén taky ale ceny drinku u bazénu už ne - za 2 deci aperolu v plastovém kelímku 12€ je trochu moc;)

Everything was great, starting with the front desk, where they spoke several languages, including German. Maria explained everything to us, and we received a “bonus” because we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. At the pool, Francesco also served us very professionally. We really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was also very good, with a variety of fresh fruits, cakes, breads, and cold cuts.

Très bon accueil, calme, en dehors du centre ville mais proche à 10min à pied. Navette si besoin pour le centre et la plage. Superbes buffets pour le diner et le petit déjeuner. Chambre, piscine et établissement propre et fonctionnel. Live musique le soir avec petit bar, ambiance calme. C’était super. « Merci !» pour la gentillesse de la dame de l’accueil qui parle français, une aide pour nous et un accueil très souriant.

Qu’il soit plein le lendemain et que nous ne pouvions pas prolongé 😂

Le cadre est magnifique, les piscines bien entretenues, le petit déjeuner est copieux, la chambre avec la terrasse correspondait tout à fait à nos attentes, … à 10 minutes à pied du centre historique où il est impossible de se garer. Donc nous sommes très contents d’avoir pu profiter du parking de l’hôtel. Bref, un beau séjour dans un bel hôtel.

Le fait de ne pas avoir de shampooing et de lait pour le corps, mis à disposition. Donc, c’est un détail.

leider war lediglich ein einziger deutschsprachiger TV-Sender (ZDF) neben tausend Italienisch sprachigen empfangbar. Mit der übergebenen Karte ließ sich das Zimmer (301) nur schwer (mehrere Versuche waren notwendig) öffnen Die (Tropea-) Innenstadt, war vom Resort rd. 15 min (Fußweg) entfernt !

Great customer service provided by the staff throughout my stay, the facilities and the room I stayed in was clean.

The property was overpriced for what you actually receive, mildly deceitful. To access the private beach there was a shuttle you had to take and on top of that you needed to pay extra for deck chairs which I thought was completely unreasonable as it should be included in the total cost of the stay. I found location wise it was a little bit too far away from the main centre. I found the room I was assigned underwhelming and needed maintenance, for what I paid and what was shown in the photos it was completely deceitful.

Tropea is very hilly and not suitable for everyone. The hotel is a little walk from the town.

L’unica cosa che non mi è piaciuta è la camera che mi hanno assegnato, in quanto avevo prenotato una camera superior con tutti i comfort e molto spaziosa tramite Booking, che successivamente ho chiesto di cambiare in quanto si aggiungeva mio nipote di 8 anni però mantenendo le caratteristiche di quella prenotata in precedenza senza fare problemi di costo e aggiunta dì supplemento, invece ci siamo ritrovati in una camera piccolissima con il letto difronte ad un muro senza nessuna vista ma circondata da altre camere. Assolutamente non paragonabile a quella scelta in precedenza.

The complex itself was nice but a good long walk into the centre and especially to the beach down hill and up hill to the complex . There was one lady at the reception who unfortunately i cannot remember her name She was amazingly helpful. Mi e piaciuto tutto dalla posizione della struttura all'accoglienza e buona colazione e la camera buona e ben fresca in base alle temperatura esterna, piscina bella e pulitissima.

Ce ben poco da dire di negativo, a parte che dal rubinetto dell'acqua fredda usciva acqua bollente ma dopo un bel pò arriva l'acqua fredda.

Izba- kúpelňa bola dosť obyčajná na 4* ale hlavný problém bol hluk a vlhkosť. V prvej izbe nám extrémne hlasno hučala klimatizácia, ktorá sa nedala vypnúť. Izba zároveň smrdela zatuchnuto. Po výmene izby sme však mali nový problém- bolo počuť každý krok, konverzáciu a pohyb zo schodov a chodby.

A szobák szépek, igényesen felújítottak, azonban sajnos enyhe dohos szag érezhető volt. A reggeli zseniális, a medence pedig szuper, nagyon élveztük. A személyzet kedves és segítőkész. A hotel egy nagy, szépen gondozott telken helyezkedik el, ahol a parkolás is megoldható. Összességében kellemes szállás, néhány apró hiányossággal.

Un grand merci aux deux réceptionnistes Rosalba & Arianna pour leur gentillesse, leur professionnalisme et surtout leur réactivité. Elles ont su régler notre problème de chambre avec beaucoup d’attention et tout mettre en œuvre pour que la suite de notre séjour se passe au mieux. Grâce à elles, nous avons pu oublier la déconvenue du premier soir et profiter pleinement de notre séjour. Merci encore pour cette belle prise en charge !

Je n'avais pas une grande chambre mais très fonctionnelle et j'ai été agréablement surprise d'avoir un grand balcon qui n'était pas mentionné. Système de navette pour la plage et le centre (s'il pouvait être augmenté encore ce serait top). Belle piscine pas trop de monde en août c'est appréciable. Personnel professionnel qui essaie de répondre à vos besoins (m'ont gentiment conduite au port par exemple). Mention spéciale à la dame de l'accueil qui parlait français extrêmement gentille!

Petite panne de frigo qu'il m'ont gentiment remplacé. Mais celui-ci ne fonctionnait pratiquement pas. Je n'ai pas voulu les embêter... Manque un peu d'ambiance le soir alors que le petit bar est si sympa au bord de la piscine. Housse de couette aurait été appréciable. Chauffeurs un peu froids en général.

Ein wirklich wunderschönes Hotel und für uns ein rundum gelungener Urlaub! Die Zimmer sind sehr schön, modern und grosszügig eingerichtet. Besonders gefallen hat uns das grosse Badezimmer. Alles war jederzeit sehr sauber und gepflegt. Auch der Poolbereich ist wunderschön und perfekt, um einfach einmal zu entspannen. Das Essen war sehr gut, frisch und abwechslungsreich. Besonders angenehm fanden wir auch die Lage des Hotels: sehr ruhig und erholsam, gleichzeitig ist man aber schnell in der Stadt und kann alles problemlos erreichen. Was dieses Hotel aber besonders ausmacht, ist das Personal. Alle Mitarbeiter waren unglaublich freundlich, herzlich und authentisch. Man hatte nie das Gefühl von aufgesetzter Freundlichkeit, sondern wurde wirklich persönlich und aufmerksam behandelt. Ganz besonders möchten wir Maria von der Rezeption erwähnen. Sie ist ein absoluter Gewinn für dieses Hotel – immer freundlich, hilfsbereit, aufmerksam und mit einer unglaublich herzlichen Art. Sie hat wesentlich dazu beigetragen, dass wir uns von Anfang an sehr wohl und willkommen gefühlt haben. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen und können dieses Hotel wirklich uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

The property is beautiful and only a 10 min walk to Tropea Centro. Great pool area and very well kept grounds. The front desk staff were awesome. Friendly and helpful no matter the request. The restaurant and bistro staff were great. Always helpful and very hospitable in true Calabrian fashion. The bistro food and granitas were great. And we had dinner there as well and it was good quality and value.

The rooms could use more storage options. We were travelling for 5 weeks in Calabria. The lido used by the property was very nice but the beach itself was very rocky and pebbly. Could be better maintained and groomed.

El personal es muy amable y eficiente. La ubicación es muy buena y el servicio de combi tambien.

Podrían agregar más fruta en el desayuno, y ampliar horario de restaurante en el bar (el principal con aire está cerrado al mediodía) ya que a las 14 no se puede comer más nada hasta la noche.

Della struttura mi è piaciuto il personale davvero socievole e accogliente, Bravissime le ragazze della reception e della sala ristorante e bar

Non mi è piaciuto che le stanze non erano molto pulite e piccole, l’ultimo giorno non hanno nemmeno cambiato le lenzuola, ciò trovato i miei capelli, e non hanno nemmeno pulito il bagno, la colazione orrenda, siamo in Italia e non ti fanno nemmeno il caffè con la macchinetta tradizionale, ci sono delle macchine automatiche con caffè solubile come in ospedale, ho capito che la struttura è frequentata quasi prevalentemente da stranieri ma la qualità per quello che si paga è pessima, in piscina le sedie non sono tutte uguali e poi sono rotte, bucate e sporche, poi non bastano per tutti quindi ti ritrovi che non ti puoi sedere, i tavoli del bar sono tutti scheggiati, il bagno della camera troppo piccolo se uno è in sovrappeso in doccia non ci entra, le foto non rappresentano la realtà delle condizioni della struttura.

We really enjoyed our stay, we had a lovely room (202) very close to the pool. I wouldn’t have minded some draw space in the room, but it wasn’t a deal breaker. Convenient location, the main town is a 10 minute walk down a well lit road, but the hotel offers free shuttle services before 7pm which was handy in the heat. Staff were very friendly and everything was just easy. I personally think water and pool towels should be free but oh well, it didn’t put us off. Very peaceful relaxed vibes. We would most definitely return, Tropea is beautiful. Breakfast was really busy most days but the staff were really good at turning round the tables and keeping the food topped up. A good variety of food (but no baked beans for us British folk!)

We had a wonderful time, about a 15 min walk from the train station. About 12 min walk to Tropea main town. Hotel was fabulous, breakfast was delicious with loads of choices. The pool area was well maintained and easy to get a sun lounger (we were there end of July). Superior room was a good size with nice sized bathroom. The mattress was a bit hard but still comfortable. We ate dinner one evening in the hotel which was good value and lots of choices. The rest of the week we ate in Tropea as there were so many restaurants. We did a snorkelling boat trip which was fun, and a day trip to Pizzo well worth a visit. Had the most wonderful holiday, and would go back and stay at Sentido Michelizia Tropea again. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Definitely worth the 4* in fact we had such a lovely time we would give it 5*. Thank you again.

An absolute gem in Tropea! Our stay at Sentido Michelizia Resort was nothing short of fantastic. The standout feature of this hotel is undoubtedly the staff. From the moment we arrived, everyone made us feel genuinely welcome. The warmth, friendliness and attentiveness of the team perfectly reflect southern Italian hospitality. They don’t treat you like guests – they treat you like friends. A special mention goes to the wonderful reception team, especially Maria and Natalia, who were always kind, helpful and happy to assist with anything we needed. The restaurant manager was impeccable, ensuring everything ran smoothly, while Sam and Arami in the restaurant made every meal enjoyable with their friendly and cheerful personalities. Angelo and Francesco at the pool bar were equally fantastic. What really stood out was that every member of staff took the time to greet us and make us feel valued throughout our stay. The location is excellent – just a 10-minute walk into the beautiful centre of Tropea, making it easy to explore the town while enjoying the peaceful surroundings of the resort. There’s also a large free car park, which is ideal if you want to hire a car and discover more of Calabria. We used Target Rental, who conveniently delivered and collected the car directly from the hotel. We stayed in a Superior Room, which was spacious, comfortable and very well maintained. It featured a powerful shower, minibar, TV and an extremely comfortable bed. Housekeeping did an excellent job, with the room cleaned to a high standard every day. The food was outstanding throughout our stay. Breakfast offered an impressive selection of fresh pastries, fruit, cakes, yoghurts, salads, cold meats, cheeses and fresh juices, with plenty of choice for every taste. Dinner was equally impressive. The buffet starters included a huge variety of delicious options, followed by a live pasta cooking station serving freshly prepared pasta dishes that changed daily. There was also an excellent selection of hot dishes, including meats, fish, prawns and vegetables. To finish, there were tempting cakes and some truly delicious gelato. Sentido Michelizia Resort exceeded our expectations in every way. With its fantastic location, comfortable rooms, excellent food and, above all, its exceptional staff, it is a hotel we would highly recommend to anyone visiting Tropea. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for making our stay so special and creating memories we will cherish for a long time. We can’t wait to return.

The food was great, regardless of the meal. Good stuff. The staff is well-trained and disciplined. Very good staff and very cordial. The AC worked pretty well in the room. Not overly "cool," but not hot either. Seemed just about right.

The WIFI has to be the worst we have ever experienced anywhere in the world. Didn't matter whether we were in the room or in the common areas, like the pool; the WIFI was basically non-existent.

Breakfast was delicious with tons of options. The pool bar and bartenders were very nice. The pool area was very pretty and the place overall was clean.

Our rooms had no water for several hours while there with no updates. We had to actively go ask after we were told it was going to be fixed in 30 minutes and then was still off hours later and we were trying to get ready for dinner. The rooms were quite small and the beds were not comfortable. The extra twin was very small and that area as soon as you walk in had only a bed without outlets etc. It was really hot and the AC was by the door which barely made it to the back room. Pool towels were a charge of $5.

On our arrival the reception was very nice and we were also offered a breakfast. The staff at the r eception desk were all nice and accomodating. Very nice swimming pool and good menu by the pool. Exellent location just 10mins walk from the center of Tropea.

Unfortunately the shower cubicle in our room was too small and we found it difficult to go in and out of the shower.

The staff was the absolute highlight! Rosalba and everyone at the reception were super helpful at all times. Explaining, making reservations. Bar and pool stuff as well. Facilities are great and close to downtown and beach. We had a car but shuttle service is offer.

La colazione era ottima e variegata. La struttura si trova non lontano dal centro e dalla spiaggia, per raggiungerla si possono tranquillamente chiamare dei taxi. Il resort ne offre gratuitamente a determinati orari. Ho apprezzato molto la pulizia e l'ordine delle camere, oltre che l'efficienza dello staff. Belle anche le piscine

Non ho riscontrato particolari criticità nel soggiorno. I servizi erano in linea con quanto mi aspettavo. Forse aumenterei gli orari di trasferimento delle navette, disponibili mediamente dalle 9 alle 18.

Posizione a 10minuti a piedi dal centro di Tropea. Grande parcheggio disponibile. Bella piscina e bar esterno. Buona colazione con grande varietà. Staff davvero molto cordiale e disponibile.

Camere troppo piccole per quattro persone, bagno piccolo, doccia piccola, condizionatore rumoroso. Difficile accesso alle camere con bagagli grandi e pesanti in quanto le scale sono ripide e strette.

The property had a lovely pool. It had parking. Rooms were clean.

No elevators! This was disappointing when lugging 3 pieces of luggage up 3 flights of stairs. WiFi is advertised as high speed, well falsely advertised, it was so weak. The walk to the centre of town was 10 min walk, I did not mind this. Water issues twice, it stopped working, not their fault. Not enough pool chairs for their guests. Breakfast could be improved.

The grounds to this hotel/resort looked lovely on first impression. Upon a closer look the potted plants around the site were sadly dried out and dying due to lack of care and maintenance. Moving onto the room, which was more than a disappointment. Unless you secure a pool front room facing the sea ( which is actually not within walking distance) you need to expect to be very disappointed! Our room, unbelievably, didn’t even have a mirror or set of drawers. The hanging space for two people for two weeks was wholly inadequate, and set in a cheaply put together open wardrobe. Some guests we spoke to were in rooms below ground level and couldn’t even get their swimsuits dry. They mentioned the bed clothes were damp and the musty smell in the room was sickening. We were told these were room numbers 101-103 and when we mentioned this to the manager… he agreed that these rooms were not fit for purpose and need to be taken out of commission. It’s really hard to believe this is a 4 star rated hotel, an issue we have taken up with TUI. The pool area is quite nice, with an infinity pool overhanging a leisurised swimming pool. However, the paved area around the pool bar is a health and safety hazard! On our first day, my husband fell stepping onto a broken flag stone and injured his hand and back. The manager quickly appeared and applied a bandaid plaster to my husband’s hand. He also removed the broken flagstone without delay! Later in the week, he thanked us for our complaints, which was apparently going to support his argument for improvements to the site which he’d requested earlier with the Valentour Group. We could not fault the staff as they were all very professional and supportive. As we were so disappointed with Sentido Michelizia Tropea (by the way, this was our third holiday to Calabria), we stayed at the Le Roccette Mare hotel which is in a fabulous location and IS on the beach in Tropea. We later found out that this hotel is also owned by the Valentour Group. We also noticed that if you search Sentido Michelizia Tropea, some sites show photographs of the beach at Le Roccette Mare Hotel, which it totally misleading, so please tread with caution when booking these hotels. Incidentally, whilst looking back on Tripadvisor reviews, I noticed the owner of the Valentour Group had replied to a guest of Sentido Michelizia in 2024. As a former trainer in Customer Services, I was appalled at her attitude and astonished at the lack of customer care and acceptance of a need to improve. The person’s comments in that 2024 review were unfortunately reflective of our experience two years later. Surely, owners and management of a hotel group that are continually disappointing holiday makers are in no position to tell guest reviewers that they do not like their tone! Such arrogance is beyond belief! I could go on with other disappointing aspects of this hotel/resort ( not least the boring repetitive menu, with limited gluten free options), but will leave it as it is. Having travelled the length and breadth of Italy, with three visits to Calabria and returning to northern Italy in the autumn, unfortunately, we would certainly not recommend this hotel! Thank you to all the lovely staff who tried to make the best of a bad situation.

Cleanliness was mediocre. The lobby was extremely dated. The showers in the rooms were very small.

The pool area is lovely, and the location is an easy 10 minute walk into the centre of Tropea. The hotel also offers a regular shuttle to the centre and one beach club.

We lost water twice and had ants in our room. It was quite a small room in comparison to other hotels we stayed in and felt more like a motel. The last shuttle service returns at 7pm. We were happy to walk but it would be great if there was a later shuttle.

Das Personal war bemüht um zu helfen.

Leider nicht empfehlenswert – mehrere Mängel während des Aufenthalts Unser Aufenthalt entsprach leider nicht unseren Erwartungen. Das ursprünglich zugewiesene Zimmer war winzig – erst nach einer Beschwerde erhielten wir ein etwas größeres Zimmer. Nachts war es zudem sehr laut, an erholsamen Schlaf war kaum zu denken. Besonders ärgerlich: An zwei Tagen gab es zeitweise kein Wasser. Das Frühstück war bestenfalls mittelmäßig. Die Toilette am Pool war extrem unsauber und roch stark – hier fehlt es offensichtlich an regelmäßiger Reinigung. Insgesamt stimmte das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis für uns nicht. Wir würden das Hotel nicht weiterempfehlen.

Jó helyen volt a szálloda , bár autóval kellett a városba menni ,meg a strandra, mivel gyalogosan 20 perc lett volna! De aki szeret sétálni annak nem gond! Medence jó volt, parkolás is nagyszerű,a kerti bár is megfelelő! Reggeli is bőséges volt, de időben kell menni, 9-ig érjen oda mindenki!!

7.30-kor a takarító személyzet már hangosan elkezdte működését! Annak ellenére,hogy ki volt rakva a Ne Zavarjanak felirat , voltak bent a szobánkba rendszeresen! 10-ig van reggeli , 9.45-kor már pakoltak össze , nem volt tojás , szalámi , sütemény stb. Este sokszor nem volt a zuhanysáshoz elegendő víz, sőt egyik nap egyáltalán nem volt este 2 órán keresztül!

Location and resort very nice but needs more attention. No replenishment in room. Some staff very nice, one barman very arrogantthe other very friendly. . A bit hit and miss. Taxi from airport booked by hotel did not turn up. Nevertheless we had a good time.

Some things need a bit more attention

Tropea is a stunning town with its cliff side location. The hotel Sentido Michelizia is a lovely hotel, with a gorgeous aspect and the swimming pool on 2 levels is a centre piece of the hotel. The breakfast was very good, lots of choice and there was an omelette/egg station which were made to order by the lovely Katia, who deserves a special mention. She would remember your order from the previous day and always served you with a smile. The reception staff were very helpful and very efficient in organising our return airport transfer. We also found the walk from the hotel into the town very manageable and did it at least once every day. I would also recommend using the shuttle bus to go to the beach club, we enjoyed a couple of days down at the beach and would definitely recommend the Beach club.

The only issue was the room for us was the room. We had booked a classic double which I knew from previous reviews was small (but from the size of the room quoted on booking.com, I thought it would be okay). However, the design is such that the bathroom is very big and had lots of space but the bedroom itself was very small. There was not enough space between the bed and the case storage to wheel your case. And no real space to sit in the room other than on the bed. There looked like there were some gorgeous rooms with courtyards/balconies which I would want to book if I came again. All of that said the room was clean and well looked after.

Nice hotel with great view over the ocean. Friendly staff og clean hotel. Nice rooms. Breakfast good. Pool (2) are clean and nice. Bar at pool. Only 7-8min walk to beautiful Tropea center.

Ottima la posizione 10 minuti a piedi dal centro di tropea, il parcheggio gratuito sempre disponibile e la zona piscina molto bella sono i punti a favore di questa struttura. Il ragazzo al bar Francesco molto simpatico e disponibile.

Non è possibile in un resort 4 stelle che la stanza non abbia un balcone o una zona privata all aperto. Il menu del bar con i prezzi dovrebbe essere esposto. La colazione molto ripetitiva. Ci hanno fatto pagare per fino l unica bottiglietta d acqua che consumavano giornalmente dal mini frigo della stanza. Le pulizie che venivano fatte giornalmente erano molto approssimative. Non ci tornerei per lo stesso prezzo sicuramente si può trovare di meglio.

Große Ferienanlage in fußläufiger Nähe zum Centro Storico. Standardzimmer ausreichend, sehr nettes Personal am Pool, an der Rezeption. Großartiger Pool Shuttleservice zum hotel eigenen Lido. Abwechslungsreiches Frühstück.

In unserem Standard Zimmer gab es keine Möglichkeit, nasse Handtücher irgendwo aufzuhängen. Ablagen im Badezimmer waren auch sehr knapp bemessen. Die eine Seite des Doppelbett war nur zu erreichen, wenn man über das Bett stieg, da der kleine Schreibtisch ungünstig im Raum stand. Kleider im Schrank aufzuhängen für eine Normal Große Frau nicht möglich, da die Hängervorrichtung viel zu hoch angebracht ist. Der Hotel eigene Lido, der vom Shuttleservice angefahren wird, ist nicht empfehlenswert. Es ist ein ganz schmaler Strandabschnitt im hintersten Bereich mit Kiesel. Wir waren sehr enttäuscht.

La stanza piccola e con il rumore della strada trafficata e con dei vicini di stanza molto rumorosi, la posizione che è a 10 minuti dal centro ma su una strada di traffico senza marciapiede

Beautiful property, pool, restaurant, very attentive staff from the front desk staff to all the wait staff in the restaurant and bars and the cleaners too. Free shuttle too and from the historic centre and Lido, but it was only a short walk to the main centre so easy distance. Would definitely stay again. Thank you Maria (front desk) for the lovely welcome, recommendations and all the staff for making our holiday so much more special.
