Missionshuset Bed & Breakfast

Turn left at the Sandhamn Vardshus, follow the green rocks, keep left until you reach Missionhuset - a large attractive green & white double storey house on a corner block. Easy access to town and port. We stayed upstairs in a double bedroom with shared bathroom. Not a problem, as more than 1 shower and multiple toilets available. Bed very comfortable, room clean. Tea making facilities, a fridge, microwave and comfortable chairs for lounging are available in a shared space where you can meet up and chat with other travellers if desired. Tasty, wholesome and generous buffet breakfast with lots of choices served downstairs in a large well appointed dining room. Great hosts Maria and Lars are happy to make your stay on the island a memorable one.

Clean and tidy. Breakfast was ok

Very expensive for a shared bathroom but quite adequate. Staff were helpful. Quite a way from the ferry if you had heavy luggage especially as the roads are gravel we were fine with backpacks. Felt they could offer a luggage transfer service as there is only 1 ferry a day at this time of the year . Not very secure as people who were not staying there seemed to have been invited in. Everything was clean and tidy but rustic. Beds were only adequate. No curtains which affected my sleep. Sort of like a hostel but much more expensive.

Cute, characterful and cozy guesthouse just a few minutes back from Sandhamn harbour. Staff were super helpful and great you can leave luggage in storage shed before check in if your ferry arrives early. We loved the island which was quite peaceful by late September but still warm enough to swim at Trouville beach.

Très belle maison, très bien située, proche du port. Le petit déjeuner est un régal. Frigo et micro-ondes sont en libre-service ce qui facilite les repas si besoin. Jolie terrasse ensoleillée. Partant tôt le matin, la propriétaire nous a préparé un petit déjeuner que nous avons pu prendre avant l’ouverture du buffet

Quaint island and a cozy B&B...everything was exactly as described in the listing. We rarely book places with shared bathrooms and were not bothered at all with this set-up. The place was full for the evening and we never had to wait for a bathroom or shower. It was very convenient, perfectly clean and wonderfully comfortable.

Jättefint hus med trevliga charmiga rum. Väldigt tyst och lugnt. Fläkt fanns. Otroligt bra frukost! Trevlig värdinna. Har inget att klaga på.

Det är alltid bekvämare med toa på rummet, men det var bara tvärs över korridoren och aldrig upptaget, så det var inget problem.

Old B&B house with a nice little garden and a small cottage in it. Plenty of space to sit in the sun outside. Good breakfast.

We chose to stay in the cottage because it has a private bathroom. According to Booking.com, we had to get the keys at the Sandhamns Vardshus Pub. Once we got there, we had to queue at the bar to hear that we had to go to the restaurant upstairs. At the restaurant, where we had to queue again for 15 minutes, we were told that they had no idea about the keys and that we had to go directly to the hotel. At the hotel, nobody was there before 15:00 (we arrived at 13:15), and we left for lunch, leaving our luggage unattended in the living room. At 13:30, we got a text message giving us the code of the storage room, in the back of the garden. Back at 15:15, still nobody there, but we found our key in the storage room. The cottage is 15 m2, including small bathroom in the back. This leaves ca. 10 m2 for the room and it is impossible to open your luggage, except on the bed. The cottage is ca. 2 meters away from the large terrace where everybody has breakfast or stays on the sunny days. Very close from the room = poor privacy. The wifi in the cottage was poor but good on the terrace and in the house.

Ligger bra till mellan restauranger och badplatser. Rent, fräscht, liten men mycket bra frukost med omsorgsfullt utvalda alternativ.

Delat badrum är alltid svårt, men 3 toaletter och 2 duschar delat på 5 rum funkade bra!

Mission shuset e’ veramente quello che sognavo di trovare andando sull isola di Sandhamn. Un piccolo sogno a pochi passi dal centro in una zona tranquilla vicino alla cappella ed al bosco. La struttura e’ bellissima e pulitissima. Jessica ti accoglie con un bellissimo sorriso che ti riscalda il cuore dandoti consigli e suggerimenti per rendere la tua permanenza molto piacevole. La colazione e’ incredibilmente buona e varia. Ho viaggiato tanto ma la sua colazione e’ una sicuramente tra le migliori che abbia mai provato. E’ possibile farla in una bellissima sala interna oppure se il clima lo permette in un patio fuori. Dispone di bagni condivisi ma sempre molto puliti ed essendo numerosi io non ho incontrato mai nessuno. Non vedo l ora di tornare a Sandhamn e’ pernottare nuovamente qui.

Assez facile à trouver mais on peut se perdre au début dans ce dédale de ruelles, mais c'est charmant et la ville est petite. Chambre agréable, bonne literie. Petit déjeuner compris et excellent. Très copieux et varié. Petites maisons charmantes aux alentours, maison de poupée ou chalets dans le style suédois. Plages nombreuses et forêts de pins. ambiance sur le port.

Une seule salle de bain avec toilette pour 5 chambres, cela pourrait poser parfois quelques problèmes. Je n'en ai pas eu et peut-être que sur les cinq chambres certaines ont toilettes et salle de bain, je ne sais. Pente du mur derrière le lit dans notre chambre, la 3, qui peut gêner la tête quand on s'allonge, pour lire par exemple.

When checking in we weren’t told where all the bathrooms were so we thought the only one that 10 strangers were sharing was across from our room until the second day and we found two more bathrooms plus a shower room down the opposite end of the hallway. Please tell your guests where the facilities are at check in.

Ich habe mit meiner 87-jährigen Mutter im Cottage mit eigenem Bad/WC übernachtet. Es war wunderschön, mit eigenem Sitzplatz vor dem Häuschen und nachts sehr ruhig. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr reichhaltig, das Personal sehr nett, gibt auch gerne Tipps für Unternehmungen auf Sandhamn.

Pas d'accueil. Les séjournants doivent récupérer leurs clés dans un cabanon dans le jardin. Tarif très élevé pour une salle de bain commune. Aucune attention envers les hôtes. Le B§B profite grassement de la notoriété de Sandhamn et de l'absence de concurrence sur l'île. A éviter ... si possible ...

The property was charming, clean, and very cozy. The location in Sandhamn was beautiful and peaceful, and the staff was welcoming.

Frukosten var perfekt! Trevligt presenterad och det fanns allt vi önskade. Friggan var väldigt mysig att bo i, ren och fräsch.

Hade önskat en liten kaffemaskin (kapsel) i Friggan. Den allmänna ytan utomhus var också väldigt dåligt skött. Gräs och tistlar växte hejvilt och det var torrt i krukor (jag vattnade och ansade blommorna). En rejäl upprustning av gården både inom och utom staketet behövs för att det ska vara riktigt trevligt att sitta ute.

The charm of this amazing little bed and breakfast just can't be conveyed in words - it is the epitome of Swedish style, calm, practical, relaxed and efficient. Everything adds to the experience. The breakfast has a great range of fresh food and locally baked breads. The waffles are cooked by you so they can be fresh and hot. There is whipped fresh cream, a selection of local jams, maple syrup, and Nutella to top them off. The location is perfect, just far enough away from the harbour to be peaceful and close enough that it is still on your doorstep. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The rooms comfortable. The garden is perfect for a restful afternoon and you can take your meals and snacks out there if you like Al fresco dining. All day tea and coffee is just part of the homely atmosphere.

Shared bathroom facilities are a small price to pay for the beauty of this tranquil sanctuary. With three toilets and two showers, you need never wait. If you are lucky enough to find a vacancy, the cottage in the garden has it's own private bathroom.

Vi gillar Missionshuset på Sandhamn. En pärla på Sandhamn. Mysigt och ombonat, med bra läge. Alltid lika trevligt att få bo här. Personalen, frukosten är sååå bra.👍

Vi var där när det var väldigt varmt och det gjorde också att det blev väldigt varmt på rummet. Fläkten gjorde inte ngn nytta så vi hade runt 30 grader på rummet.

Superfin frukost och så väldigt trevlig personal. Riktigt skön säng. Även om toalett o dusch delas så fanns det gott om dem och allt var fräscht.

Er was een heel goed ontbijt. Het huis lag centraal in het dorpje. Er was een tuintje waar je kon zitten. Ook was er een koelkast en magnetron in de gezamenlijke ruimte waar je ook thee en koffie kon maken met gebruik van bestek en servies.

L'accueil de la propriétaire a été parfait, la chambre était très propre, les petits déjeuners étaient copieux et variés, l'emplacement est excellent. Un grand MERCI à la propriétaire pour son accueil !
