Quinta da Idalina

Ce gîte est une pépite ! Le meilleur du tourisme rural à l écart du bruit et de la foule...la vue s etend jusqu'à la mer avec les collines en 1er plan. Le Belvédère (terrasse partagée avec tables et bancs) permet de savourer ce lieu reposant après une journée de visites et de découverte . Les hôtes sont attentionnés malgré leurs nombreuses occupations ! Restaurant familial très sympa.

Notre gîte était frais mais un peu sombre, ce qui n est pas gênant puisqu on vit dehors !

Lieu magique : accueil au top, jardin magnifique et vue incroyable! La quinta est très propre et très joliment décorée !

Hele mooie locatie, super zwembad met perfect uitzicht. Leuk appartementje met alles erin. Het eten bij hun restaurant was ook lekker.

De harde wind. Hierdoor konden we niet buiten eten bij het appartement maar daar kan men niets aan doen.

We had an absolutely wonderful five-day stay at Quinta da Idalina! The property is stunningly beautiful, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. The swimming pool was a lifesaver and the perfect way to cool off during the hot days. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the hospitality. The owners are incredibly kind, and Idalina herself greets you every single morning with the sweetest, warmest smile. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Fantastisch domein uitgebaat door een zeer hartelijke familie. Een absolute aanrader voor liefhebbers van natuur en rust. De volle 5 sterren waard!

L’entorn és molt bonic i està molt cuidat. L’amabilitat del personal de la finca, tots son encantadors.

Las vistas desde el mirador y la piscina y el cuidado de los jardines. Es un estudio dúplex, dispone de una pequeña cocina, muy bien equipada y práctica. La cama, muy cómoda. Está algo apartado, en mitad del campo, pero era lo que íbamos buscando, eso es una ventaja hoy en día.

En la planta baja falta algo de iluminación en la zona de la mesa comedor. En el baño se echa en falta unos estantes

Magnifique endroit, beaucoup de charme, appartement très propre, Joâo a été très accueillant et arrangeant, le restaurant de la famille situé à 5 mn (simple, typique, bons produits, chaleureux et pas cher). Nous avons passé 2 nuits tellement agréables et déconnectés. Nous reviendrons c’est sur !

Prachtige plek, rustig, mooi uitzicht, mooi zwembad (onverwarmd dus in december te koud), grote ruin met fruit, groentes en dieren. Ons zoontje van 1,5 vond de dieren het leukst! Bedankt!

Une naturelle époustouflante

Mi pareja y yo estuvimos hospedados en la Quinta da Idalina durante dos noches coincidiendo con el Gran Premio de MotoGP y no pudimos haber elegido mejor sitio. El complejo está construido en una ladera en la montaña, rodeado de mucha vegetación con unas vistas espectaculares, zonas ajardinadas preciosas y una decoración muy cuidada, pero lo mejor de la estancia fue conocer personalmente a Idalina y Joao Jesus que no dudaron ni un instante en enseñarnos todo el complejo y contarnos un poco sobre la historia del lugar. Estuvimos visitando a todos los animales que tienen allí, le dimos de comer a las cabras, nos cogieron unos huevos de gallina frescos para desayunar e incluso nos abrieron para nosotros la preciosa capilla Nossa senhora de Fátima de reciente construcción. Sin lugar a dudas volveremos sin dudarlo. Muito obrigado por tudo.

Nos gustó mucho todo. Esto solo es un consejo para las personas que vayan hasta allí en moto, hay que tener en cuenta que el complejo está construido en una ladera con cierta altitud, la carretera tiene asfalto en perfecto estado pero llegando hay 3 curvas enlazadas con bastante desnivel que hay que tener precaución sobre todo para motos que sean pesadas y cargadas de equipaje pero nada que impida no ir hasta allí para disfrutar del paraíso Quinta da Idalina y del sur de Portugal.

Excelente Ubicación en plena naturaleza, para desconectar. El anfitrión y los trabajadores de 10, muy atentos y Agradables.

We stayed in two quiet and cozy studios — very private, simple, but well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The place is peaceful and surrounded by beautiful nature, making it the perfect spot to relax and unwind. The staff was very friendly and always ready to help. Senora Idalina was an absolute highlight — she shared fresh fruit with us and proudly showed us the homegrown produce from her garden. The pool area is fantastic, with a stunning view over the hills, and the whole property is full of plants and animals, which gives it a lovely, authentic atmosphere. The owners also run a great local Piri-Piri chicken restaurant just a short drive away — highly recommended! We really enjoyed our time and would definitely love to come back.

Es ist einfach wunderschön dort. Es gibt mehrere kleine Appartements in einer super schönen und sehr gepflegten Anlage. Die Aussicht ist atemberaubend, vor allem vom Pool aus. Das Appartement ist schön eingerichtet und es gibt alles, was man für einen schönen und entspannten Aufenthalt braucht. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Fab view. We had the chalet which is very private from the rest of the Quinta. Joao was a good host even though we were later than we said we'd be and he had to hang on for us (sorry again Joao!). These guys also run a piri piri chicken restaurant only 5/10mins drive and it's the best piri piri I've had so far. A good option for a few days exploring Monchique.

De omgeving van de quinta ging ons voorstellingsvermogen te boven. Wat een rust en wat een natuurpracht! Wij verbleven hier vijf nachten met drie tieners van 17, 17 en 19 jaar. Heerlijk gerelaxt bij het met bananenbomen omgeven zwembad, welke een prachtig uitzicht op de Algarve had. De quinta is verder een heel fijne uitvalsbasis voor stranden, dorpen en steden in de omgeving. Idalina, een kwieke vrouw op leeftijd loopt de hele dag rond om de planten, bomen en dieren te verzorgen. We hebben allerlei producten gekregen uit de boomgaard, moestuin en van de dieren: eitjes, tomaten, paprika’s, uien, vijgen, watermeloen etc. Onze kinderen hebben het nog over de knapperige paprika’s en de allerlekkerste uien die ze ooit hebben geproefd. João, Daniela, Idalina e Nina a gatinha siamesa; muito obrigado por esta experiência única, foi óootimo!Voltaremos, com certeza. Saudades🫶

Een dingetje: De airco’s (die overigens goed werken) zouden hoger geplaatst moeten worden zodat de slaapgedeeltes op de vides ook koel kunnen worden.

Ośrodek położony jest w przepięknym miejscu na szczycie. Domki są świetnie wyposażone, czyste i nowoczesne. Ekspres do kawy z zapasem kawy kapsułkowej. Na miejscu można skorzystać z pralni, w której są płyny do prania. Prześliczny basen.

Cadre idyllique, au calme, avec une superbe vue. La piscine est magnifique. Les hôtes étaient très sympathiques et prévenants. L'appartement était fonctionnel et bien équipé. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour.

Le lieu est reposant, avec une superbe vue. Idéal pour déconnecter. La piscine est top. Joao et sa famille sont aux petits soins, nous avons passé un excellent séjour avec notre ado.

Pendant la plus grande partie du séjour, la quiétude des lieux à été respectée et appréciée par les autres voyageurs (couplé, famille avec jeunes enfants) et c'est top. A la fin du séjour, une famille avec des garçons très bougeants n'a pas respecté cette quiétude et c'était beaucoup moins agréable. Les propriétaires n'y sont pour rien.

Wir hatten einen besonders schönen Aufenthalt in dieser Unterkunft. Alle vorherigen Gäste-Bewertungen beschreiben sehr gut den persönlichen und individuellen Charme dieser Unterkunft. Die Fahrt hoch auf den Berg erfordert ein entsprechendes Auto.

Quinta da Idalina is in such a stunning location, it’s so peaceful and relaxing. The rooms were comfortable and well equipped. The view from the pool is just beautiful and the staff are so friendly, we were given freshly laid eggs from the farm and freshly grown tomatoes/cucumber/peppers which were delicious. We had a superb stay and wish we could have stayed longer. Do visit the family restaurant serving chicken, chips and salad it’s delicious. A car is essential as there isn’t really anything within walking distance however this just added to the peacefulness for us. We would love to return one day.

We had a wonderful time as a family at Idalina’s accommodation. If you’re looking for peace and quiet, this place is perfect. It offers a fantastic view over the southern Algarve, stretching from the Monchique region all the way to the sea. Idalina’s place is family-run, with a large property and a beautifully landscaped garden. What we enjoyed most was the pool area, which has a stunning view. The apartment itself was very clean, modern, and well-equipped—the kitchen had everything we needed. The family is incredibly hospitable. They run a small restaurant down in the village where we had an absolutely excellent meal. We would definitely come back.

10/10 spot… hidden treasure in the mountains with the best views

Beautifully kept throughout with amazing views from the pool and communal picnic benches. It is easy to spend the entire day on the farm and we could happily have stayed longer and used this as a base. Friendly and communicative hosts who willing spared time from their busy days to show us around The road up is steep for short stretches, tarmacked and good width and condition. The kitchen area is well equipped for self-catering. We could keep the rooms cool in hot weather and there is mosquito netting on most windows.The washing machine mentioned on Booking.com may be communal.

We like everything! Cozy 2 floor room with everything you need. Outside there is beautiful territory with tables for breakfast, trees, flowers, goats, chickens, small garden with vegetables..you can spend much time walking around:)

I fully support all previous praises! We had a great stay at Quinta da Idalina. A wunderfull location and super welcoming staff (thank you João, Idalina and Daniela!). Highly recommended. Same as eating at their restaurant. PS: We already miss the cat.

Wow. Just wow. An idyllic paradise. We stayed in the chalet and it has everything you could want for a stay. It was very clean and lovely and private. Daniela welcomed us and saw we had everything we needed, including booking us in to the family restaurant. Beautiful gardens and pool area

The only thing I can think of is that they may need to make it clearer when you book you will need a car to reach the property. Public transport wouldn’t really work

This place is the best experience we had in Portugal. Our daughter loved every minute. A beautiful place with a great view, an awesome swimming pool, animals, lovely staff, and a garden with fresh vegetables which we were lucky enough to enjoy.

The view is amazing and the hosts are really politie. They do everything to make it really nice! They also have their own restaurant which you should visit by sure!

Place Is amazing, apartment well equipped and very nicely refined. Much Better that in booking pictures of the apartment View Is very nice, there are even Pic nic table to have dinner with view. We had a problem and owner has been super helpful.

Last 2 kilometers are like mountain road to reach the place

Perfect in every single way. I almost want to keep this place a secret so fewer people are tempted to 'discover' it. Highlights include the peaceful setting (midway up a hillside), gorgeously maintained outdoor pool overlooking the valley, beautiful plants and flowers (including fruit trees such as apricots, peaches and lemons when we stayed in late May but I'm sure many more at other times of the year) and the menagerie of animals to enjoy such as goats, hens, guinea pigs, rabbits, wonderful attention and service from Joao, Idalina and others (do check out their restaurant Cafe Imperio close by for the best Chicken Piri-Piri). Simply a wonderfully relaxing experience. For those who need to stay 'connected' the wi-fi was excellent.

It has an incredible location with views down to the Algarve coast. It is set in grounds with gardens which are lovingly tended. The pool also has amazing views.

To be honest, everything was ok. Maybe in summer it's a place with too hot. That's way the swimming pool is there, :)

Wonderfully managed farm property with a warm welcome. The views were exceptional, the pool was clean with a beautiful lawn around it. It was special - our favourite stay in Portugal so far (of seven locations including a Pousada)!

This is a wonderful farm stay. The owners run a restaurant locally and the whole experience was truly memorable. They are exceptionally hospitable, informative and welcoming. Daniella is a mine of local information. A stiff walk to the historical Roman spa nearby. Their restaurant, Cafe Imperio, is really quite an experience. Hard working people with a truly ecological setting. Can I move in?

Beds and bedding were a bit underwhelming as were kitchen tools and facilities, it was not always possible to get a hold of staff on the property, but any urgent issue could be fixed with a call.

The guesthouse is a perfect place to relax and disconnect as it is remote in the mountains. But within a short drive you can discover the city of Monchique. A lot of outside areas to relax, nice pool area with beautiful view. Daniela and João are lovely hosts, always ready to help. Would love to come back here for another stay.

Not a lot of windows so a bit dark inside the house but you come for living outside here and have a nice private terrace and a lot of common areas outside

We would recommend anyone to come and stay in this beautiful piece of heaven! Our two children 3 and 5 years old loved the little playground, the hammock and the animals plus it was a real treat for them to get to pick their own fruit. The pool is just amazing, what a view! The staff is very friendly and helpfull! We hope to come back some day!

The sight is outstanding. The owners' generosity was greatly appreciated. I call it "5 star" rural tourism. It's far from being a bed in a renovated barn secluded in the middle of nowhere. This experience is second to none. The facilities are amazing. It is so charming, so relaxing. It makes you wonder about your way of life...work work work in a big city to enjoy a couple of weeks somewhere remote to cool off when you could...

The mattress was not up to our liking but it is very personal. A little too firm for our liking. The signal was not great but it is free WiFi and it was quite windy these days so we cannot complain about it. Nothing else really.
