Location was closer to the town and the tourist attraction points. The rooms and the bathroom were clean. Customer service was excellent.All around it was an excelent place to stay.

The hotel was very central but also very quiet. The rooms are very clean and the personal was very friendly.

バルコニー付きの広い部屋、暖かいシャワーあり。ホストは適度に親切。チェックアウト後もロビーのトイレを借りれたのは非常にありがたかった。

徒歩圏内にめぼしい施設はないが、スーパーマーケットなどには行ける。 ガイドブックに自転車はたいがいの宿で借りれる、とあったが借りれなかった。なお、遺跡巡りを自転車でしている人もいなかった。宿からやや遠く、遺跡も広いのでまず無理。トゥクトゥクで巡った。

Perfect for a 2 night stay. Cool and quiet in a bustling hot city - loved sitting on the upstairs veranda for breakfast and with a cold beer at the end of the day. Very accommodating staff.

Clean , comfortable able rooms

The Why Not Palace is a good value Hotel (Homestay). We had dinner one night in the hotel and the the traditional Sri Lankan food was excellent.

The staff in the hotel were very friendly but their English was not very good which was a pity.

Lovely hosts who really want to take care of their guests. Spotlessly clean rooms with excellent AC and comfortable beds. Bedlinen was crisp and fresh. We travel budget , which this is, but this was the first bathroom of our holiday that I actually wanted to use. It had hot water, a short curtain and a slightly sloping shower towards the drain. So no flooded floor! Breakfast was also very good. All a joy since it was also on a very quiet street giving an excellent nights sleep.

The house is lovely in a quit location but with an easy reach to town. The breakfast at the terrace are absolutely amazing. Host is kind and helpful.

WiFi didn't work for me but I had my sim card

Staff were exceptionally attentive. Breakfasts were delicious; on our 3rd day we were asked if we would like the sri lankan breakfast- it was great, thank you. Room was very comfortable. Reception area was very pleasant. We did a lot of walking around the ancient city.

The building may be great, but the interior is nothing short of beautiful and cozy. We really liked the breakfast saloon and the terrace invites you to have a beer at the end of the day. The staff was really helpful give is directions for the walkers restaurant nearby and the buses we had to take the last day.

The fan in my room didn’t work. We couldn’t get wifi working until the owner was called. The instructions weren’t clear in regards to connecting. The breakfast was ok.

The MOST AMAZING owners you could ever imagine. So-so naturally and gently cary! Very positive, smart, beautiful and interesting personalities, they do their business with all their hearts, so you will find the hotel: very cozy and spacious, super clean and tidy, decorated with paintings made by one of the owners ❤️ They helped us to arrange the tuk-tuks and and safari to Wilpattu with low prices and lovely drivers, did our loundry (huge amounts) in a short period of time. The breakfast was amazing: various and beautiful, it contained both european and national srilankian food. Beds were comfortable to sleep, bedrooms - accurately maintained and renovated.

We arrived late at night from Wilpattu and the hosts swept us off our feet with their hospitality. We were fed a superb dinner and given a much needed drink. The breakfast was also excellent with a bevy of fresh fruits, tea, coffee, and juice on offer. The room was big and equipped with all the right amenities including a good shower, fridge, and AC. At one point in the night the power did cut out but a simple flip of the breaker outside our room and we were back up.

The room and hotel lacked cosyness, as if it had known better times. Also there were ants in the room. I found the bed not too comfy.

We enjoyed three wonderful nights at the guesthouse. The room was good, with good beds, a good shower and some extras like a table, several chairs and a rack to hang your cloth. Good airco too. Wonderful owner and his wife, who did everything to make you feel comfortable. They arranged a safari for us in Wilpattu, on our request, and they did that in a honest and efficient way, without trying to get something out of it for themselves. Very reliable and friendly service.

As in more comparable accommodations, sanitary and woodwork could do with some improvements. But no real problem really. The location maybe not ideal, but in our experience, there is no ideal location in Anuradhapura. Everything is a bit dispersed and also due to the heat, you will need a tuk tuk for everything you do in the city anyway.

Our room was lovely and spacious , nicely decorated, nicely furnished, clean, good bathroom, nice little balcony to sit out. Very high ceilings on the first floor rooms. Good air conditioning. Comfy bed and pillows. Electric shower worked well with plenty of hot water. Would have been nice to have coffee & tea making facilities in the room. Location was OK but we think the location of any hotel is not the best owing to the large area covered by the ruins. Unfortunately, you really need a tuk tuk to get anywhere. Restaurants were hard to find close to the hotel. The hotel does provide breakfast at extra cost, we did not have breakfast as we decided to eat out. The WiFi in our room was not good, infact is, was the worst we'd experienced in our five weeks of travelling in Srilanka. Otherwise all was good.

Clean place, nice AC room, decent location, friendly staff. Bicycles available. They are the perfect mode of transport there. We went to do a round of the many temples on one day and rode to Mihintale via side roads the next day. Wonderful sunrises and sunsets and swimming at the resevoirs

They charged twice the ordinary price for the bicycles.

we stayed in an enormous, beautiful room. It was spotlessly clean and modern with lots of cozy touches. The bathroom was great. The room had a very efficient fan and aircon. the beds were very large and super comfy, and we slept really well. We had the warmest of welcomes and met all the family - everyone was really friendful and keen to ensure our comfort. We had a delicious and very large breakfast. we stayed on our way back.from Jaffna to Colombo by train and the hotel was conveniently located for the station (a short tuk tuk ride) and some good local restaurants.

The couple who run the hotel were very friendly and accommodating, along with the other staff at the hotel. They made a great home cooked breakfast on request and prepared a packed meal for us on the day we left. They also put us in contact with a tuktuk driver to take us to various locations in the city. The room was a generous size, was clean and the beds were comfortable. The hotel felt warm and inviting. Great value for money. The location seemed quite good. We had to get a tuktuk to the main tourist spots but it was a short ride and not expensive. Will definitely stay again next time I visit.

The shower had hot water but it was a little tricky to keep it at a temperature that wasn't too hot or too cold. Other than that the stay was perfect.

We like the outside appearance of the property and the large clean room. The shower was fast and hot. The staff were all lovely and welcoming and we had a delicious evening meal and breakfast. A really great stay. Thank you

We had a massive room, with an en-suite with a lovely hot shower and a nice balcony. Staff were lovely and helped us to arrange a tuk-tuk for a day’s sightseeing and onwards travel at a very reasonable price, as well as looking after our bags after check out time.

What a nice place, the owners are so helpfull. They have a great contact with a very good tuk tuk drive to help you to see everything around Anuradhapura. We had a really nice connection and she even introduced me to her daughter. Would definitely stay here again. Also breakfast and dinner are an option. And very tastefully.

Lovely welcoming hosts who made customer service their priority - we felt like we were in a 5 star hotel. They gave us a choice of room and both rooms were very big with elegant ceilings. The breakfast was exquisite with a plethora of local cuisine. Highly recommend getting the daal and sweet pancake.

Heads up: bring the 3 prong converter

Huge room with lovely high ceiling, sparkling clean, good A/C. Lots of room in the family room for all four of us. Central location near to a couple of good cafes. Best of all - the fabulous family running the hotel were so welcoming and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend

They were not there when we arrived. They didn't help us and we had a lot of questions. They must be there for the guests. There was justo an employee who didin't speak english.

The staff was so friendly! Pushpakumara went out of his way to help us find a tuk to see all of the beautiful sites. He even helped us arrange for breakfast, although it was not included. The room was clean and comfortable. Would definitely come here again.
