What a fantastic, quaint place to stay! The staff were also so accommodating and caring! Wonderful experience!
Room was very nice and clean!
An amazing hotel with large, updated rooms, high-quality furnishings, and luxurious bed linens. Breakfast was beautifully presented and delicious, made even better by the hospitable front desk staff and Eddie, our server. The location is perfect for visiting the Cliffs of Moher, walking to the Aran Island ferries, and enjoying local eateries. Every aspect of our stay exceeded expectations.
Doolin Inn was an exceptional place to stay. Beautiful location, lovely and friendly people, great music at local pub. Great food there too.
The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and bathrooms were modern. It was in a great location just a short walk to the shops and the breakfast was very good! It was a pleasant surprise during our time in Ireland and we would absolutely stay there again if we stopped in Doolin.
It was close to the Cliffs of Moher, walking distance to the beach 2 km, beautiful hillsides and close to pubs and small boutiques! Gorgeous!
Great place to stay in Doolin. My only negative experience was the check in process. Our room was not ready at 3:00pm, so we waited in the lounge. No one ever came to get us. We checked in about an hour later. Everything else was ok.
Fantastic hotel, people, and location. The hotel's rooms are big enough. Nicely decorated. Comfortable beds, too. The breakfast was fantastic. And outdoor seating area nice, too. A couple of spots inside...Like a reading room. Withing walking distance of many nice places to eat and/or drink. And Cliffs of Moher just a short drive away. The staff were all very nice. Highly recommended.
Wonderful stay. Breakfast was delicious with large portions. Room was very comfortable. I just have to say, they have great hair dryers. The staff was very informative and gave me great ideas for a day trip with restaurant recommendations. And easy walking from Gus O’Connors pub and the Cliff walk. Loved my stay here.
Absolutely lovely stay. Highly recommend this Inn, a great spot for exploring the Cliffs of Moher and County Clare. The room was a little small, but totally fine for a few days, and excellently equipped with all the types of necessities and things you find in large hotel chains. The property is very well maintained, has onsite parking, the room very well cleaned, and the staff delightful and very accommodating. The property is adjacent to fun pubs, awesome restaurants, and beautiful horses and other great animals roam near by. We would definitely return to this Inn.
Wonderful place to stay — staff was so helpful with telling us what to do and where to eat as well as listen to music!
Amazing inn, loved our stay. This was our first time in Doolin. Easy to find with Google maps, easy parking, very close to cliff of moher. Extremely friendly staff, quiet, clean and breakfast was amazing in the morning. Loved our stay and if we ever make it back to Ireland, will definitely come back.
Beautiful place, excellent Breakfast, short walk to the town of Doolin which had nice shops and pub with music, Amazing cliffs of Moher short ride. Pleasant staff, Chris very helpful
The breakfast was amazing. The luxury pod room was incredible, and the staff was so friendly. Beautiful location, walkable to the cute village! Will stay here again!
This modernized Doolin hotel has all the amenities travelers can expect coming to the West Coast of Ireland. The staff were outstanding and super helpful with needs and asks. Absolutely clutch little restaurant as well, and easy proximity to all the things distinguishing West Ireland’s southern Clare landscape. 10/10
A Magical Stay at the Doolin Inn – Best Breakfast in Ireland! The Doolin Inn was simply incredible! This enchanting, magical place felt more like staying in a cozy apartment than a typical hotel. My husband and I stayed in the “Townhouse” just across the street from the main inn, which was perfect. I loved sitting by the open windows, looking out at the horses and breathing in the fresh sea air—it was so peaceful and relaxing. The entire staff made us feel like part of the family. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and genuinely caring. Now let’s talk about the breakfast—hands down the BEST of all the places we stayed during our trip! As soon as you're seated, you're offered tea or coffee. While that's being prepared, a starter tray is brought to your table featuring freshly made smoothies, a fruit and yogurt parfait with granola, warm bread, and a fresh-baked scone or croissant with butter and homemade jam. Every item was incredibly fresh—this thoughtful detail completely blew me away. Then comes your main breakfast order, and wow—your senses are immediately awakened by the delicious aromas of eggs, bacon, and sausage, all cooked to perfection. The owner and staff are simply lovely, and they truly go out of their way to make sure every guest feels cared for.
Lovely breakfast
Very nice!
Great breakfast, accommodating staff, the rooms were absolutely beautiful, spacious, very clean! In walking distance to everything from food to ferry to Cliffs!
Great location. Room was very clean and well appointed. Friendly staff
Fantastic stay at Doolin Inn. What a lovely hotel with a great staff. The property is central to all the beauty that is the charm and quaintness that is lovely Doolin. Check in was easy, the rooms were clean and spacious, beds were comfy. Breakfast is offered to guests and it is delicious! Lovely start to the morning. I would highly recommend Doolin Inn, and I will definitely be back. Shout-out to Poppy and Marie, such great customer service. Thank you!
A wonderful inn with beautiful rooms, comfortable beds and delicious home-cooked breakfasts. This place is a gem in Doolin. It also provides a great spot to explore the west of County Clare.
This review is based on a 17 night/5 property Irish road trip, so is relatively objective. I stayed solo for 2 nights in June. Easily found with adequate private parking in this busy village. Friendly and efficient staff throughout. The property is modern rather than ‘Country House’. Spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipped bedroom with good quality linen and towels. Modern walk in shower bathroom. The lounge area is far too small for the number of rooms. Breakfast was to a high standard. I wouldn’t class this as a 4 star Country Inn, rather an upmarket B&B due to no restaurant (other than breakfast), served bar area and very small lounge. Snacks, drinks and coffee etc are available in the reception area. There is a very pleasant outside deck seating area, but it’s a BYO job! There are pubs and restaurants available in the village, all within walking distance, High season produces high room rates!
Great spot to stay when going to the Cliffs of Moher! You can take an easy drive there, or hike about an hour along the cliffs. Staff so friendly, breakfast great. The town itself is a little quiet.
This place is perfect little place to stay while visiting doolin. Close to cliffs of moher. Room was huge and delicious included.
We enjoyed our stay at Doolin Inn. It was in a great location, was a big room, and had a great breakfast.
Location was convenient to shopping and food. Breakfast was phenomenal. I’m still thinking about it two weeks later. Walk ti the ferry was beautiful. Public transportation available to this very rural area. Highly recommend! The highlight of our trip to Ireland.
Everything is great at Doolin Inn. Staff, the room, breakfast. All great! About a 15 minute walk to the Pier. Restaurants down the road.
Wonderful breakfast, and very hospitable staff. Also greeted with a warm welcome. Staff was knowledgeable of local spots to explore. Definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Doolin.
Owner Anthony and his team made our 40th wedding anniversary extra special with their thoughtfulness. Cristina and Chris at reception were welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Our cozy suite with an outdoor hot tub was perfect for relaxing after exploring. The breakfast was delicious—served with care each morning. We loved visiting the Cliffs of Moher, Gus O’Connors pub, and the charming village of Doolin. Highly recommend Doolin Inn for a memorable, relaxing getaway in a beautiful setting! Thanks to Jody at Ireland Family Vacations for the suggestion.
I would have stayed in Doolin and at the Doolin in for a week had I know how beautiful it is. We stayed in The Burrow, and it was simply amazing.
Amazing hotel!!! We were there for our 25 Anniversary and our stay was fabulous! There was a cheese plate in our room with champagne. The view was magnificent. The breakfast was not only delicious but included. The bathroom and hot tub were great. Can’t wait to go back!!
Doolin Inn was a special place to stay. Unbeknownst to us, we were placed in The Burrow, which was like a small apartment. Large bedroom with sitting area, large bath, private jacuzzi/hot tub (slippers and robes furnished). Their breakfasts are delicious. My husband rates their sausage the best in Ireland. All the staff was friendly and personable, in both reception and dining. Would definitely recommend. An added plus is the hiking trail to the cliffs of Moher is very close by!!
One of our favorite places!
We stayed for one night while traveling with a tour. The staff was helpful and friendly. Our room was large, nicely appointed and not too warm. Nice little store in the lobby. A short walk for dinner and music. Breakfast was outstanding! Thank you for a great stay!
Staff were very attentive. Rooms luxurious and immaculate. Super close to shops and restaurants
The restaurant staff are incredibly friendly and nice. Breakfast was very good. Our room was nice. Comfortable. About a 10 minute walk from shops and restaurants and 15 min walk to the ferry. Coastal trail is about 10 mins away as well. It said it was closed but there were still people using it.
Absolutely quaint and perfect. Exactly what we wanted to stay by the cliffs.
Nice hotel, nice room, great parking, however thin walls. A little on the noisy side.
We will certainly return and refer this hotel. It was absolutely lovely. Clean, quiet, friendly staff, just over-all a lovely stay.
Would recommend The Doolin. The breakfast is amazing
Love loved this property! So cute and close walking distance to pubs and restaurants! Breakfast was amazing and staff was so kind!
The staff bent over backwards for us. They got us checked in early after an all night flight. They also extended breakfast hours since we slept in. cliffs of Mohr uber close.
Great customer service!
Great place near town and the Cliffs.
Town was quaint. Hospitality was great. Breakfast was amazing. Thanks for a great stay. Loved the little town of Doolin and more so the Doolin Inn.
Waking distance to great pub. Breakfast on site was excellent.
Rooms were cozy, clean, and so welcoming. I was truly wishing it was warmer and/or I had prepared better as the hot tubs looked so inviting! The staff was amazing, I cannot say enough about how kind and helpful they were. From the delicious breakfast (included), to helping us plan our day, to suggesting places for music, they were truly the best! The town is quaint, but offers many places to eat and listen to music and the location was convenient to many attractions including the cliffs the Moher. I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our time at the Doolin Inn.
Lovely
Lovely town and accomodations near Cliffs of Moher. Gus O'Connor Pub is a winner.
Great place to stay on. Proximity is close to the cliff and walking restaurants and shops.
We attended a wedding in this fabulous hotel and we were treated with so much kindness. The staff from Sarah in reception to the staff waiting on us at our table went above and beyond. Every one was so friendly. The room we booked was excellent.
Great stay, really well furnished and decorated. We loved our stay
I enjoyed the nice room and quiet atmosphere
So we wanted to give this 5/5. The location is perfect, room was newly renovated, and hospitality was great! Breakfast was also very nicely done. We were in a courtyard suite. But feel like we have to mention for other travelers: this was the hottest room we’ve ever stayed in. We turned off the heat the second we got there and it was chilly outside. I’m not sure if it’s the way the courtyard is set up and the air stays trapped or not. (And yes we realize most of Ireland doesn’t have A/C which is fine but nowhere else was like this). Apparently they are ordering fans for all the rooms which will be a game changer but… I would verify before booking. It was brutal.
Charming hotel run by a lovely and welcoming staff. A short walk to pubs and shops. Our first night in Ireland will be remembered. Their breakfast (included) was impressive. I expected to be faced with a wall of American cereals and a make your own waffle setup. They had a tray of scones and bread, creamy yogurt topped with a sprinkle of nuts and pepitas, mango tumeric milk, fresh coffee, then a hot breakfast of your choice. So delighted!
Delicious food, friendly staff, clean facility.
Great stay for a couple night relaxing.
Very helpful front desk staff Excellent breakfast
This property was lovely. We could walk down the street to a great pub where we ate and listened to traditional music. The full breakfast, which was included was delicious. We took the Doolin Ferry out to the Aran Islands and the boat that took us to see the Cliffs from the water.
Doolin Inn is an amazing place to stay. Lovely accommodations, amazing breakfast, close to town, and lovely people. Highly recommend!
This was the cleanest Inn I have ever experienced. The breakfast was excellent and the staff was excellent.
Even though I did not get the breakfast that was included, my husband and did and said it was very good!!
Excellent
Beautiful views, older building with limited staff & no breakfast available during stay.
We came for just one night, as we were passing through. The room was great - clean, tasteful modern decor, beds were very nice. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. Doolin is a very small village and it is a bit spread out, so you have one pub to walk to and a few more that are a bit further away.
Wow. What a great country inn. Staff could not be more competent, efficient, friendly and helpful. Ask for a new room (#22) and you have a spacious room, comfortable bed and large bathroom with big walk in shower as well as a personal shower. Super clean and best location in town. Without question the best breakfast (included) in all of Ireland, obviously made and served with love. Fabulous scones and accommodating chef. Plenty of convenient on site parking and help with bags if you need it. Can say enough good about this hotel.
I went for my son's wedding at the Cliffs of Moher. My son had a total of 20 friends there too. I am 73 years old and my son is 30 and all of his friends are in his age range. I was the second of our group to check in. They gave me the worse dump of a room and the hardest to get to, up very steep long stairs and down three halls. They wouldn't erven tell me where the stairs were and no one ever offered to help with my three pieces of heavy luggage. All the others in our group got much nicer rooms for the same price and ones easy to get to. I have never had a smaller more horrific room in my life and been treated so horrible at any hotel in my life. I suggest going anywhere else if you ever want to stay in Doolin
This was another small hotel with charm. We had to carry our suitcases up the stairs (but there were some awesome people that helped). I think that it was family owned and we had 2 triple rooms and 1 double room. All of us enjoyed our stay. They offered a very nice breakfast. There were some of the guests that were going on a hike with a guide the morning we left.
Lovely little inn near the Cliffs. Cozy rooms and lovely staff. Walkable to the pubs and restaurants in Doolin as well as a bit longer walk to the Doolin Pier. Highly recommend if you are staying in the Cliffs of Moher area.
Very nice Inn. Rooms small, but comfy. Nice breakfast included in the dining room. The bed was very comfy and the room had tea and coffee. Wonderful location. Short drive to pubs. Staff is friendly and helpful. An all around great stay. Scenery just lovely.
This is a delightful hotel with excellent service, a unique and interesting menu, and in the best location for walking to the Cliffs of Moher and/or taking the Aran Island Ferry. It was very clean and quiet, and secure and service was top notch.
Very comfortable and hospitable hotel accommodation in a convenient location in Fisher Street, Doolin. Restaurant and outdoor bar area with lovely views of the town. The included breakfast was tasty and generous. Friendly staff treated us well. It was a treat to come out in the morning to see horses in paddocks but be so close to the heart of the town where there were eateries, pubs and Aran knitwear shops amongst others. Also within easy distance of the ferries to the Aran Islands.
Place was over priced
Excellent hotel in Doolin! The restaurant is very good, staff very friendly and attentive. Great location; pubs, ferry, and restaurants all a short walk away. Super room we had, clean, neat and private, we did do an upgraded room, was worth it.
Loved the Doolin Inn! Perfect location and wonderful staff and breakfast! We will be back!!!
All hood
The place was great. There was a smell that seemed like a clogged drain -although our plumbing worked fine. I alerted the desk upon checkout. I wouldn’t hold that against the stay. It was wonderful in all other aspects. Staff was extremely friendly and rooms were clean and comfortable.
Absolutely loved this place. The location, room, atmosphere, food, high standard of service - this is one of those places that cannot be faulted in any way. A special mention goes to Eddie who served us food and drinks - such a genuine, hard working guy with a lovely sense of humour.
The good Parking WiFi Bed is comfy Breakfast and servers Walking distance to Gus’ for food and live music The not so good No AC. No screens on the windows. Flying bugs get in We were in the back by restaurant delivery area and dumpster (loud) View of parking and delivery area - not of horses and pasture as others have noted Towels are small and scratchy (not soft at all) Minimal plugs in walls
Ideal location, walk to town and the edge of The Cliffs of Moher. Staff was friendly and great.
We had a fantastic stay at the Doolin Inn. The staff are very accommodating. The room was comfortable and quiet—room 15 upstairs in the back. The breakfast is delicious and plentiful. Only drawback is no elevator, but the friendly staff will surely help with bags going up the stairs. Will definitely stay there again.
Only stayed one night.. room was in separate building across road from main hotel...fantastic room. Best night sleeo. Staff very friendly and helpful
Wonderful property, was delighted with the Hotel and staff.
Great property. Beautiful town.
The Doolin Inn is in great repair and it would appear to have been recently redone. Very nicely decorated, great staff and very attentive. The bed was super comfortable and the room was huge, with a view toward the sea.
I wish I had more time at The Doolin Inn - everything was amazing - cozy and sweet inn with amazing complimentary breakfast.
We stayed for three nights and it was a good location in Doolin and comfortable, clean first floor room. (Unfortunately our window faced the parking, so the partial shade was closed for privacy while we were there.) Proximity to the cliffs, the pier, and exploring The Burren was great. Breakfast was good, but egg choices were similar on the menu - they did substitute scrambled instead of poached when asked!
My family and I spent 2 weeks in Ireland and the Doolin Inn was my favorite place to stay. Even though we only stayed one night to see the Cliffs I will always remember the kind staff and great food. The room was modern and very clean. No large groups from buses. The walking trail by the Inn was wonderful for a sunset stroll. We also had a view of the horses right out our window. Highly recommend this Inn.
Wonderful location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Had dinner at the restaurant- food was great and staff were excellent. Especially Adrian made the most delicious cocktail and was kind enough to write down the recipe. Easy drive to Cliffs of Moher. Local pub was great for an afternoon drink.
Spent one night and was not disappointed. Would stay again for sure.
As great. Good location, free parking, excellent food and service. Like new excellent facilities.
The place was really nice. Great room and excellent location. Only issue was the wifi, which was just terrible.
Very cozy. Friendly staff
Amazing location and great staff and service. Highly recommend
My husband and I loved the location of the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful at check-in. Breakfast was wonderful, and the young woman who waited on our table in the morning were very considerate of my food allergies. I ended up with a delicious dairy/gluten-free breakfast. We were able to walk up the street to a fantastic restaurant and pub. It was a highlight of our trip.
Close to the Cliffs of Moher, nice breakfast, close to other restaurants, wish we spent more time there.
Delicious breakfast
The staff is sooo fantastic. And do not skip the breakfast. We were blown away by the breakfast and the staff was truly the nicest ladies I think I have every had the pleasure of meeting. Just a lovely place.
The Doolin Inn was so beautiful, I wish we'd booked our stay for longer than one night. We stayed in the townhouse and the room was completely renovated with modern amenities, but cozy antique furniture to warm the atmosphere. Every person we interacted with at the Doolin Inn as wonderful - from the check-in to dinner to breakfast. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious and the restaurant has the same familiar, but modern atmosphere that our room did. It's short walk from everything including the trail head for the cliff trail along the Cliffs of Moher. Thank you for a wonderful stay, Doolin Inn!
