New Park Hotel Athenry vs Similar Hotels

Room was comfortable but had very squeaky floors.

Rooms often called spacious and comfortable with good beds, but some rooms noted as a bit ageing, lacking small amenities (shower cap, face cloth, toothbrush holder) and suffering from poor ventilation/absence of AC.

The en-suite was small and lacked plug sockets.

Multiple guests explicitly praised cleanliness ('Very clean', 'The room was very clean'); rooms and communal areas reported as clean and well kept.

Convenient location right off the highway, charming town.

Generally described as a good base for exploring (close to attractions for some), though a few guests found it 'out of the way' or mentioned localization concerns.

Very friendly service and a real treat in Athenry!

Staff repeatedly described as friendly, helpful and attentive across many reviews (reception, dining, helpful with requests such as providing a fan).

Delicious food and a great range; highly recommend the apple crumble!

Food and restaurant receive strong positive mentions (breakfast described as varied/satisfying, restaurant and pizza praised), with a few notes about coffee options missing and breakfast times being late for families.

Standard quality for this hotel tier.

Leisure facilities (pool, spa, gym, sauna, steam room) are highlighted and generally praised, but guests reported overcrowding at times, noise from the spa/gym area, and lack of in-room fridge/safe in some cases.

Pricey room for the quality provided.

Several guests felt the hotel was pricey for the level of service/amenities (one cited €200 room-only not reflecting 4-star expectations); perceived value is a common negative point.
