Palafitos Overwater Bungalows, All & More Inclusive - Adults Only

Absolutely everything! This property exceeded all of our expectations. It was breathtakingly beautiful, immaculate, peaceful, and incredibly comfortable. Every detail felt special and thoughtfully designed. The atmosphere was magical, and from the moment we arrived, we felt completely relaxed. It is truly one of the most beautiful and memorable places we have ever stayed.

Honestly, there was nothing we didn’t like. Everything was exceptional from beginning to end. Our only complaint is that we wished we could have stayed longer!

各方面都非常优秀

It was a luxury vacation that everyone should have the chance to experience! It’s clean and very modern. The property is well taken care of.

The app to order to food was not working properly, but the butlers were amazing and quick and helped with everything!

Very beautiful

Didn’t get to do anything while their, everything was closed or booked . Not great food & dead animals in guest center

Hands down, this is a once in a life experience.

That the Taqueria closes early at 5pm, it would be a good idea of it re-opened around 7pm. My wife and I love to eat late evening Tacos.

Mayordomo services

Seaweed bad

Our stay at the Palifitos over‑water bungalows in Mexico was nothing short of unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into a postcard—turquoise water beneath our feet, warm breezes, and a level of service that set a new standard for luxury. The highlight of our trip was our incredible butler Liz. Attentive without ever being intrusive, they anticipated our needs before we even voiced them. Alfonso was hilarious and the highlight of our das with his wild sense of humor. And the food—absolutely phenomenal. Every meal felt like a curated culinary moment. Fresh seafood, vibrant local flavors, beautifully plated dishes, and desserts that made it impossible not to indulge. Even room service felt gourmet. Very attentive about allergies. Between the serene setting, the exceptional service, and the unforgettable meals, this getaway was pure magic. If you’re looking for a place that blends relaxation, romance, and world‑class hospitality, these over‑water bungalows are truly worth it

That we had to leave

The lobster and shrimp options. The friendliness of the staff. The bungalow was a great experience.

Seaweed, outdoor shower didn’t work, limited food options outside of Palafitos.

Everything except expensive

Nada

Everything was amazing from the food, the staff, available amenities, excursions, and always being attentive and communicating!

If anyone can find anything wrong I have $1000 personally I will send them!

Everything: food, jet sky, ATVs, Camel trip. The people who work there were all nice.

I wish I knew that I have to schedule the activities a day before so I didn't have to pay extra for it.

Just returned from our honeymoon and didn’t want to leave. We loved everything about the property. Beautiful grounds, the bungalows were spectacular and ocean was clean and beautiful. Restaurants were very nice and you could walk around the property and everything was close by. Food was delicious! We loved the staff, room service, beach, taco bar, events, drinks. And best of all, Daniel and Enrique went above and beyond! We appreciated them so much! It’s going to be hard to top this vacation.

There was nothing we didn’t like. Most beautiful place we have ever been to.

My wife and I came here for our honeymoon in October 2025, and we were absolutely blown away by this resort. Every single expectation we had was exceeded from the moment we arrived at the El Dorado property. As soon as we pulled up, we were greeted as “Mr. and Mrs. Jones” and handed cold eucalyptus towels — a small touch that set the tone for what would be an incredible week. Alberto welcomed us right away, loaded our luggage onto a golf cart, and gave us a tour of the property on the way to our room. By the time we arrived at the Palafitos area, he already knew us by name and made us feel completely at home. That’s when we met our butler, William, who gave us an overview of the property, restaurants, and activities available to Palafitos guests. He also set up a WhatsApp chat for us with himself and our evening butler, Aldo, which became our go-to for everything — from ordering room service to booking excursions or asking simple questions. Our overwater bungalow was stunning — easily one of the most memorable places we’ve ever stayed. The king bed was incredibly comfortable, and we loved having both indoor and outdoor showers, a jacuzzi, a private pool, and even direct access to the ocean from our deck. The glass floors in the room were such a unique feature — we could literally watch fish swimming beneath us! The food was phenomenal. Every meal at the Palafitos restaurant was exceptional, easily some of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. When we mentioned it was our honeymoon, William and Aldo went above and beyond — surprising us with a private six-course dinner and a romantic breakfast in our bungalow the next morning. We also took full advantage of the activities — from a catamaran and snorkeling trip to a cave diving excursion, kayaking, and even renting jet skis. As Palafitos guests, we also had access to the hydrotherapy spa, which we visited twice and absolutely loved (especially the sauna, steam room, cold plunge, and hot tub).

Nothing

Amamos el lugar y nuestros mayordomos hicieron nuestra estancia aún más inolvidable

IT was Great

EXCELENTE SERVICIO, SON MUY PROFESIONALES , EL PERSONAL QUE NOS ATENDIO SE ESMERARON MUCHISIMO EN QUE NOS SINTIEERAMOS BIEN, FUE UNA EXPERIENCIA INOLVIDABLE. PILAR , HASSEL, Y TODOS FUERON MUY PROFESIONALES Y AMABLES, RECOMIENDO EL HOTEL 100 %

Unique was only restaurant at Palafitos Ocean was not swimmable and smells around the area on the beach not so good ( poor conditions in that department), room didn’t have iron, around the pool no one is asking for drinks, cleanliness at the pool poor. Butlers have a nice smile but work is small. Spa excellent. Entertainment 5 out of 10 Overall 5 out of 10

Everything was fantastic! Especially the service!

Staff was very nice, courteousness, and polite. Greatest time staying in over water bungalow. Great food all around the resort. The seaweed patches were big but resort cleaned them up very fast.

Breakfasts were great! Dinners super! The stall exceptionally friendly

The music playing constantly up and down the main walkway. From inside one just hears a note higher or louder than all the others.

Lots of seaweeds and no view.

Absolutely gorgeous bungalow, beach was pristine, water was crystal clear. Every single thing about our stay was above and beyond, from the room service for every meal if we wanted (the room service breakfast on our private ocean view patio was our favorite!!!), the outings and parties and activities all included, like kayaking, snorkeling, catamaran, the Mexican party with Mayan dancers and mariachi and authentic Mexican cuisine, the staff were all absolutely amazing and kind and went above and beyond, especially Alberto, Will, Danny, Leobardo, Josue, Marlene, Shirim, everyone was just so kind and friendly and the attention to detail in every aspect was incredible. The outdoor shower, HUGE jacuzzi, private pool on our deck, private tanning deck with sea stairs into the ocean, the bed was so comfortable, we just felt like royalty and never wanted to leave. We will be back again and again!!!

Everything was perfect- not ONE bad thing to say!

The absolute best experience for an anniversary or honeymoon! The staff is amazing. The Butlers were so nice and attentive and everyone was so amazing throughout the stay!

Everything was top notch! Clean, great staff, wonderful service, beautiful grounds.

Next level VIP service worth every penny.

The staff was fabulous. Everything about this resort is fabulous. We’ll go back at least once or twice a year. Love it!!!

Todo bueno Aa

The food was amazing and the people treated us so well! The bungalow was amazing. The whole trip is a once in a lifetime trip you should do if you have the chance. We rode camels and jet skis! I hope to be back again one day!

Nothing

Palafitos is one of the best places I have ever stayed. I am going to visit Mexico and stay at Palafitos again. The area, view from rooms, accommodation standards, restaurants, staffs, I mean, everything is just great about Palafitos.

This is my new favorite place to stay! The service was the best I have ever received and was consistent across the board . Ferdinand, Janet and Alberto were outstanding- extremely attentive and responsive . The property is beautiful and the overwater bungalows are very nice . Great price for what you get . They aren’t kidding when they say “More Inclusive”. Definitely will be back .

This place was amazing! 5 star treatment from the beginning to the end. Food was amazing, service, beautiful beach beside the seaweed. But it’s everywhere. The bungalow was exceptionally nice.

Everything was impeccable! Everyone was great.. food was delicious! We celebrated our 25th anniversary there..

Our honeymoon at the Palafitos Overwater Bungalows was pure perfection from start to finish. The luxurious sedan pick-up set the tone for the top-notch service we experienced throughout our stay. Our overwater bungalow was breathtaking – panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea, a private infinity plunge pool, and even a glass-bottom floor panel. The service was truly extraordinary, led by our incredible butler, Yasser. He anticipated our every need, orchestrating our stay with grace and genuine warmth. Yasser made us feel like cherished friends, always going above and beyond. Our beach butler, Rafael, was equally delightful, ensuring our beach days were pure bliss with refreshing drinks and a constant smile. The food was a revelation, far beyond "5-star." Every meal was a Michelin-star style masterpiece, meticulously crafted and exquisitely presented. We savored fresh seafood, perfectly cooked steaks, and innovative dishes that delighted our palates. The attentive staff in every restaurant made each dining experience memorable. Beyond the service and sublime cuisine, the Palafitos exuded serenity and romance. The intimate setting ensured privacy, and we loved swimming from our private deck and soaking in the sunsets. It was an immersive experience in unparalleled luxury and heartfelt hospitality. Our honeymoon was a dream, where every need was anticipated and every moment felt magical. We left with hearts full of gratitude and a longing to return to this paradise.

Everything! Literally everything!! The property is gorgeous, the staff was amazing and so welcoming and so attentive! I absolutely loved the stay and will be coming back!! This was the most royal 5 star treatment. I can’t say enough great things about this resort! Enrique and Fernando were the most amazing hosts/butlers! They need to be paid more because they deserve it 100%! They made our stay there so much better.

Nothing bad, everything was perfect!

Amazing

Everything !!!!! My butlers Janet and Aldo are the absolute best !! The food , service, location, excursions, staff etc. I could go on and on. 10/10 recommend!

Seaweed by the bungalows closer to the beach… not resort fault and they cleaned it everyday!!

All of the food at Palifitos was excellent

beautiful property and great staff

delays in getting responses to requests

This property is breath taking and the hospitality from start to finish was completely unmatched. We stayed 4 days at the palafitos and 3 at xcarat. Palafitos was by far our favorite place and most memorable given the staff and all around service. We can’t wait to come back for a full week next time!! Aldo, Janet, Alberto, you all made this trip amazing!!!

All staff was friendly and courteous. Special thanks to Yasser anf Fernando and the male bartender near the palafitos check in. Housekeeping services were excellent

Wonderful time !

A wonderful vacation, can’t wait to go back

Right from touch down at the airport we were treated so well. The staff and service was exceptional. From your personal butler to the property maintenance staff, everyone was so friendly all the time. The attention to detail and cleanliness was amazing and every request was fulfilled. Thank you Janet and Aldo as well as the transportation guy in the resort, and everyone else for making it such a pleasurable trip. The food at the resturant was amazing for breakfast, lunch and dinner and room service snacks were also amazing. The property and amenities were great including the spa, beach and pools. They worked tirelessly go get rid of the sargassium that washed ashore. We will definatly be back and add on a few extra days.

Absolutely amazing . What a wonderful & perfect vacation! our butlers Enrique & Fernando were wonderful & took care of our every wish. Alfredo & Daniel were amazing bartenders and always knew our favourite drinks and were always so friendly and wonderful. Gustavo in Ricks bar was an absolute treat! Mixing fun cocktails and always so welcoming. Alberto shuttles you around the resort anytime on the cart and is just so friendly and kind every day! Erik helped us with all the activities and even though the water was to rough to kayak far we were so thankful to him for helping us get to take them out. All the staff just work so hard to make sure your every wish comes true. We plan to come back in February it was so wonderful!

We are going back! The service was like nothing I have ever experienced. We went for a week and it was perfect

Amazing

Pilar, Aimee, and Alberto are the best!

Palafitos was gorgeous and service was amazing. Excellent food and the live music at dinner and by the pool were great entertainment.

This is a beautiful property with plenty of things to do on a daily basis or do nothing at all and relax whatever you like best!

From the moment we arrived, our experience at Palafitos Overwater Bungalows was extraordinary. Every detail was handled flawlessly, allowing us to fully relax in paradise. Aldo, our daytime butler, was incredible—his attentiveness and warmth made our stay effortless. In the evenings, Enrique seamlessly continued that exceptional service. Alberto, the bellman and resort driver, always greeted us with a smile, ensuring smooth transportation. Berta, our daytime maid, kept everything immaculate, while our night maid created a cozy, restful space. Leonardo, our room service server, delivered each meal with professionalism and warmth. The property itself is breathtaking—stunning views, luxurious accommodations, and world-class dining. Every aspect is designed for pure relaxation. From private limo pickup at the airport to a personal escort back to our gate, the service was flawless. This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience—absolute luxury in an idyllic setting. If you’re seeking the ultimate getaway, this is it. A bucket-list destination that exceeded every expectation.

The staff were excellent and made up for anything not great in the bungalow. Butlers Yasser, Aimee and Daniel were special. The food at the Palafitos was exceptional.

Palafitos was an unforgettable experience!!! The beach is shallow so the waves are never big. Staying on the water is magical. The Palafitos area is "quite luxury" style. EVERYTHING is designed to make sure you have a relaxing experience. The restaurant is wonderful. Though there are other restaurants on the property, we only visited the Caribbean once, and it couldn't even compare to Palafitos. You can have your lunch brought to you to your Bali bed. Having breakfast on our balcony was delightful. Having a butler was a nice touch. Fernanda was very attentive! Alberto was very friendly and helpful, remembered everyone's name. The beach attendant stole the show-Outstanding, excellent!!! He definitely loves his job. Made our stay extra special!!! Palafitos restaurant breakfast and lunch manager was so kind and went an extra mile 🙌 ALL Palafitos staff were next level, compared to other resorts we stayed at. There was seaweed, but they work SO HARD to get rid of it. It's going to be hard to beat this experience. Thank you Palafitos!!!!

Loved our stay at Palafitos. Pros: the service is excellent. Very, very nice staff. Our Butlers were over the top amazing. My favorite drink is Dr Pepper. Fernando went out of his way to deliver bottles to our room. William always made sure our breakfast was delivered to our room each morning. Eating on the deck overlooking the ocean was a favorite. Cannot get any better than the bungalows. The private deck and plunge pool was so nice. Used the outdoor shower. Just a step into the beautiful ocean. The beaches were clean. Our butlers made sure there was a Bali bed available for lunch and an afternoon siesta. No stress in getting the perfect beach location. Service on the beach was amazing. Food was great. This is the place for you if you have allergies. My husband is gluten allergic. All menu items were labeled. Staff always asked about allergies and assured us when the food was delivered that it was in fact gluten free. Sooo nice. All the food tasted great. Never had a bad meal. Most quiet and relaxing resort we have ever been to. Our butler helped us book a tour of Tulum ruins through Lomas. Very easy process and we were able to design our day and had a tour guide, Jesus Huet, all day to ourselves- was excellent! Cons: not really a con but just a note- the butlers are so attentive that they come around a lot during the day. Use the ‘do not disturb’ door hanger if you do not want to be disturbed. Nothing bad to say about Palafitos. Would definitely come back!

Unbelievably excellent. Best service ever.

Perfect@

There is nothing to dislike about this place from the time you arrive until the time you car picks you up. The staff and facilities are second to non and I will return

I must say this was one of favorite trips! Always wanted to do this and just decided it was time. Can’t say enough about the accommodations, atmosphere, service, food, and friendly staff. The grounds people worked so hard everyday to keep it beautiful. Includes private airport shuttle to pristine Maroma Beach with access to your personal cabanas available with picnic lunch. Plus you have access to all restaurants, bars, and pools at adjacent sister property, El Dorado Maroma. Our bungalow included several glass bottom floors, stocked minibars, and anytime free room service for breakfast, lunch or dinner on your balcony (complete with private infinity pool, outdoor shower, lower deck with direct stair access to the beautiful blue water) and your personal butler to help with all reservations and requests. Completely pampered. Best EVER!

What an absolute incredible experience to get away and be spoiled by wonderful people. The bungalows are beautiful and clean. The staff is very accommodating! Shout out to Alberto, Daniel and Janet who accommodated all of our needs and wants. The Palafitos restaurant hands down the best restaurant at Maroma Beach! The beach itself is serene and breathtaking. I can keep going on and on but I HIGHLY recommend you see it for yourself. Def worth it! Tip: book on Black Friday, travel Tuesday deal!

The peacefulness of the ocean right under your feet

The over the water bungalows were incredible. The room was beautiful and the service was top notch. The staff was so friendly and so accommodating. It was the experience of a lifetime and it was made so much better by everyone and everything. Thank you

Very relaxed. Nothing left for us to do other than enjoy our time there. Enrique, Fernando, the ladies at the restaurant were all excellent.

I'm having a problem with the billing. I was billed twice and cannot get in contact with anyone.

the best experience for your money in cancun and playa del carmen combined, we stayed at the overthe water bungalows and they were incredible the food was amazing, our 2 butlers william and yazer were outstanding, they brought to our terrace over the ocean and our private pool everything and anything we needed, from food, drinks floaties, champagne , water etc the experience of a bungalow over water where you ahve your own private pool and privacy, as well as walk down to the beach facing the sunset everyday was breathtaking. our new favorite place in the cancun area, and we have stayed in about 25 top of the line 5 stars properties in this area thru the years

The location was nice and the beaches beautiful and well manicured. The bungalow was of decent size but the furnishings dated. The food was good and the service acceptable.

The lighting in the bathroom and dressing area was terrible. We had to use a flashlight to find cloths we put in the closet. The patio and deck furniture was uncomfortable and dated as well. Our plunge pool kept running low on water and made loud sucking/gurgling sounds and kept us awake or woke us up. Adding water didn't fix the problem. The "Butler" concept is poor. We had several different butlers and we didn't know the proper one to call or text. The only way to get room service was through the butler so we went without. We weren't notified of special events on the property or adjoining properties. A daily flyer or some method of notification aside from the butler would have helped.

Absolutely the best staff and service, we travel and have traveled extensively from adventures ( Antartica, safari, Kilimanjaro ) to relaxing ( Viking River Cruise, all over Europe. S America ) ....treat yourself and go here.

Excellent Service from Alberto, Fernando & Enruqie. Amazing resort. Had a great time very relaxing

Great

length of stay

Palifatos Overwater Bungalows exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we arrived, the 24/7 butler service made us feel like true VIPs. The food was absolutely 5-star, with every meal being a culinary delight. The location is perfection—crystal clear waters, vibrant marine life visible through the glass-bottom floors, and stunning views at every turn. The private cabana service with picnic lunches added a touch of luxury to our beach days, and the evening entertainment on the beach was a perfect way to unwind. The spa experience was nothing short of incredible—pure relaxation! Every detail of our stay was thoughtfully planned, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel special on our anniversary and throughout our trip. Palifatos is a true slice of paradise, and we can't wait to return!

Nothing really. We went on an all-day excursion to Isla Mujeres and we were very disappointed. We should have just stayed on the property all week!

Excellent in every way. Planning a return trip in May!!

Palafitos was amazing and beautiful. I can’t wait to come back

Outstanding everything! What a great quote getaway

The service was excellent, our butlers Fernando and William were on it and helped us in everything.

Everything!! It was very nice, very clean, and the staff was very friendly.

Everything was great.

Unique property in this area. Service was top notch. Food was very good. We only stayed for a weekend so didn't explore a lot of the other amenities but would definitely go back.

Everything about this resort is perfect. The butlers are the best and the food and drink staff. You want for nothing. Enrique and Pilar our butlers were fantastic. Food is fabulous!!

Had a wonderful time. Aside from an awesome room, the best were the dedicated butlers that always available. We could order in our room anytime we wanted, all included. We could also enjoy the activities and restaurants at their sister hotel next door which is a short walking distance. Thanks!

Me and my husband celebrated our 15 year anniversary and were treated like royalty throughout our whole trip. The staff treated us as if we were the only ones on the resort and were available for us 24/7 and always checked on us and our needs. El Dorado Resort was also very well maintained and had beautiful grounds, restaurants, beach, and pools.

This was the best resort I've stayed at. The attention to customer service was amazing. We had 2 butlers Samantha and Janet that they went over and beyond for us. From the beach service to the restaurant and room service we wanted for nothing. I've never been on a resort where the food was amazing every meal. Definitely can't wait to return.

The food was amazing

My wife and I just returned tonight from a 3 night stay for our 6th anniversary. I could never say enough how wonderful the bungalows were, how amazing the staff was (shout out to Aimee and Fernando!!!). Our stay was absolutely perfect, the food was amazing and the views are legitimately paradise.
