The friendliest and most helpful staff I have ever met. The manager really welcomed us and went out of her way to help us organise out vineyards visits. The room was exceptionally comfortable and the pool and hot tub were great.

It took about 15 mins to walk into town.

Excellent facilities and utilities.

The main pool could be solar heated for use all year round. Appropriate lighting needed to be installed for reading purposes.on either side of the bed.

Room was comfortable with friendly staff. Patience accommodated our late check in which we really appreciated it.

The breakfast was delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My children loved the warm Jacuzzi. Lovely modern rooms and facilities. We would love to return.

It's hard to find much fault, everything is so nice. The only small complaint would be, that in such a luxurious place the two single beds in the kids' room were wooden bases and very squeaky.

I hated the automatic lighting. The lights in the bathroom switched off whilst I was in the bath and the shower! An obtrusive light shone all night in the bedroom ceiling. It’s possible to walk to the high street but a taxi is the safest option in the dark.

Most of what was to offer could not swim etc... because of the weather but should be nice during summer ☀️ its a very warm place.

As indicated to the owner/manager the pillows could maby be more firmer or ach of both otherwise no complaints really.

Loved the fact that it's child friendly and my babies had comfortable corts with clean new blankets to sleep with. The room was fair - ideal for an overnight stay. There is a lot of room for improvement for the price the property chargess. We unfortunately did not get to experience the jacuzzi as we were too exhausted. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they honestly made the stay enjoyable. They serve breakfast that will get you going in the morning.

Attention to detail. The property needs little renovations to make stays more comfortable. There are no chairs in the rooms, only high chairs in the kitchen and there is nowhere else to just sit and relax other than the pool area and your bed.

Liked EVERYTHING! From the super Reception welcome, to the overall layout of the property, to the amazing room decor (so many nice attention-to-detail touches). Breakfast was great. We'll certainly stay over again in Franschoek (and at their other hotels).

Central location. Great hot tub and good value for money. Also the breakfast was delicious to get the day started before loads of wine tasting.

Rooms are but cold in winter without a fireplace or rugs.

I love that it’s a little removed from the main road so it’s quiet. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Was a short stay so need to go back to take advantage of all the amenities. Truly enjoyed my stay.

Die Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Auch die technische Ausstattung im Zimmer und im Allgemeinen im Hotel ist ein Alleinstellungsmerkmal. Die Lage in Franschoeck ist sehr gut. Angenehm ruhige Gegend. Das Frühstück ist auch sehr gut. Den großen Tisch finde ich eine gute Idee. Vielleicht kommen so auch die Gäste untereinander ins Gespräch.

Man hat im Zimmer leider keine Wandhaken, wo man zum Beispiel Kleidung deponieren kann. Auch Ablagen sind im Zimmer eher wenig. Das Bad ist sehr geräumig. Beim Duschen macht man gefühlt alles nass. Eine Trennwand wäre hier angebracht. Durch die Größe, hat bestimmt noch die Möglichkeit eine Ablage hineinzustellen. Ein Stuhl oder eines anderes Möbelstück als Ablagemöglichkeit.

We had a wonderful stay from the moment we arrived. The place is very conveniently located and easy to find, just a 3 minute drive to Franschhoek main street and not much further to get to the wine estates and restaurants we wanted to visit. The staff are super welcoming and friendly as well as professional. They made us feel at home throughout our stay. Our room was beautiful and clean and the breakfast was lovely. This place is clearly very well managed and the staff are passionate about their business. We will absolutely be back.

We had a wonderful stay at The Lab Guesthouse. The open plan spacious modern room is beautiful designed and felt comfortable and luxurious. The breakfast was a highlight with a great variety of delicious option to choose from. We also enjoyed the heated pool.

The water pressure of the shower was very low.

Staff were friendly, room was large and nice bathroom. Good to have a pool and enough loungers for everyone.

Not any fault of the hotel, but the entire town had no electricity which meant there was no AC when it was 35degC outside. Quite a long walk to the wine tram.

Just a little glitch with a shower. But it was fixed. Overall, our host was the best. Staff was kind. Our room was clean. A suggestion - An extra mirror is needed for a family room. we had to use the mirror in another room because our room didn't have a mirror

What a fabulous find Devon greeted us upon arrival and out Villa was ready early, though they were happy to store bags of it wasn’t. We weee offered a drink on arrival while they doubled checked our property. The pool is lovely and the breakfast delusions and plentiful. Only an5!to 10 min walk into the village so very quiet

The staff were all incredibly welcoming and helpful. Always making their best efforts to accommodate me. The location was perfect for a quick overnight while attending a wedding.

The room was very close to the honesty bar and breakfast dining area. Fine for a solo traveller or couple but probably not ideal for a family.

Rooms are big and beds are good. Location outside of the centre of the village (but walkable) meant it was quiet. Good to have a pool in hot weather.

The design tries to be clever and modern, but misses the mark. Basics like NO BEDSIDE LIGHTS, so have to get out of bed to turn off the harsh blue overhead lights. Breakfast was a joke - our coffee orders were wrong over and over again, and then coffee was seriously substandard. The dogs running around barking didn't make it peaceful. Wasn't good value for money. Looked a lot better in the photos than it was in real life.

The rooms are nice and clean, and the location is splendid. The common areas are enjoyable, a glass near the pool is perfect! Wine tram terminal is a 5 minutes drive or 20 minutes walk and the whole neighborhood is safe.

The toilet in the room is really small 😂 that was the only minus point.

Sehr sauberes Haus und nettes Personal. Hatten bisschen Probleme mit der Eingangstür unseres Hauses, dieses wurde umgehend gelöst. Restaurants fußläufig erreichbar. Einstieg winetram auch nicht sehr weit.

Hotel liegt in der Nähe einer Durchgangsstraße, dadurch ein bisschen lauter.

Ich hatte ein schönes und großes Zimmer. Das Bett war sehr gemütlich mit vielen Kissen zur Auswahl. Das Frühstück wird mit viel Liebe individuell gemacht! Sehr lecker! The Lab liegt etwas weg von der Hauptstraße - ist aber tagsüber super zu laufen und abends per Uber! Alles in allem hat mich The Lab sehr positiv überrascht!!
