Small and cozy hotel with a really attentive owner who looks after all you needs to make sure you have a comfortable stay. And the vegetarian breakfast was a real treat and I’m not even a vegetarian!

Heerlijk hier verbleven. Van het warme welkom tot het vertrek. Martin, de host, was fantastisch. Schone ruime kamer, maar toch ook knus ingericht. Badkamer was ruim en luxe. Het hoogtepunt was het ontbijt, zo uitgebreid hebben we het niet vaak gehad. Het was voor ons echt bijkomen van de mooie omgeving. Verder was het goed te vinden en goed bereikbaar met een auto. Als we ooit terug gaan naar de Isle of Sky boeken we hier.

Sehr guter Service. Der Eigentümer war immer zu erreichen, da er ebenfalls im Haus wohnt. Zum Frühstück gab es jeden Tag Variationen mit selbst gebackenen Broten, Keksen und Muffins.

Das Zimmer ist für 2 Personen schon eng, geschuldet dem Alter des Hauses.

Il soggiorno è stato eccezionale, ha superato ogni nostra aspettativa. Dalla location meravigliosa, alla colazione superlativa, alla gentilezza dei proprietari, non potevamo avere esperienza migliore.

La camera e il bagno sufficientemente grandi, puliti e con tutto il necessario. Salottino a disposizione per la lettura o per sorseggiare un buon whisky. Eccellente la colazione, preparata con cura, dal padrone di casa, con prodotti di qualità . A disposizione un piccolo buffet e a scelta una portata. Martin , che si prende cura di tutto, è un vero padrone di casa, accogliente, disponibile, premuroso. Certamente ci ritornerei

Martin heeft ons voortreffelijk en gastvrij in ontvangst genomen, hij verdient een gouden medaille voor hospitality! Een lekker ruikende kamer en beddengoed, zo fijn. Het ontbijt inclusief een vers eitje maakte onze ochtend en dag start perfect en niet te vergeten zijn te lekkere baksels (zie foto, dit was tijdens onze wandeling). De omgeving is prachtig en indrukwekkend om het wandelen echt te ervaren.

Martin war sehr nett, unsere Zimmer war sehr sauber und komfortabel, wir hatten ein Wasserkocher im Zimmer mit Kaffee, Tee und Milch dazu. Das tägliche vegetarische Frühstück war immer gut und frisch gemacht.

La habitación está bien, es amplia y tienes snacks y cafetera para usar. El anfitrión muy agradable, te orienta en visitas a realizar por la isla. El desayuno amplio y rico. Todo hecho en casa.

The host was the best we have ever had. So welcoming. Would come home to the smell of baking every day. Every morning we would get to eat the home baked treats as part of the amazing breakfast.

Lovely property, showcasing beautiful artwork throughout. A real comfortable vibe to relax. Martin was great at making things better than imaginable, he made scrambled egg like something I've never tasted before, this also went for the porridge, never had I tasted porridge like it, cream and a small shot of whiskey, brown sugar I believe. He does his home baking so breakfast treats were delicious and I was grateful he let me sneak some away with me. The bed was verycomfortable, I need to know what brand it is because I need one. Overall very enjoyable.

Het ontbijt is geweldig er staat een buffet met allerlei baksels die de host zelf maakt. Daarnaast krijg je ook een kaart met dingen die je nog los kunt bestellen, dit is zonder meerprijs. Alles is heerlijk, voor mij het beste ontbijt wat ik in lange tijd heb gehad. Pubs zijn niet in de buurt maar je kan daar op locatie allerlei drankjes en snacks pakken. De host is erg vriendelijk en denkt graag met je mee over jouw activiteiten op Skye. Onze kamer was niet heel groot maar wel voldoende en aan echt alles is gedacht. Al met al een uitstekende uitvalsbasis om Skye te ontdekken.

The breakfasts were truly exceptional - homemade with fresh ingredients, the kind of meal you genuinely look forward to when you wake up the next morning. Our host was wonderful and full of passion for what he do, and went out of his way to give us loads of helpful tips for our Isle of Skye trip. Easy and lovely to talk to, he made the whole stay feel personal and welcoming.

The breakfast was excellent. Easy parking. The location was perfect for exploring the Isle of Skye. Excellent place if you wand good intel on where to go from Martin.

Without doubt one of the best places I've ever stayed in. The breakfast and home baked bread and cakes are exceptional . The rooms and attention to design details are extraordinary . Martin a perfect host and clearly has put his heart into this.

Cannot recommend this place enough! Not only is the location quiet and serene, Martin is an incredible host whose keen care and attention make everything better. From the incredible breakfast to the bespoke daily itineraries, Martin's warm and unpretentious presence breathes life into this remarkable little slice of island life. Everything! Martin was the perfect host, and an incredible baker (the breakfast was sublime!). The property was so tastefully decorated and I wouldn’t stay anywhere other than here when we return. First class accommodation and hosting in a beautiful area with a wonderfully stocked honesty bar too!

Absolutely loved our stay at Roskhill House on Skye. We visited as a couple and it was exactly the kind of warm, cozy and welcoming place you hope to find on the island. The rooms were beautifully cozy, comfortable and full of character, making it easy to relax after a day exploring Skye. Martin was a fantastic host: friendly, helpful and genuinely welcoming without ever being intrusive. Breakfast was excellent, with great quality and plenty to enjoy before heading out for the day. A real bonus was the impressive whisky selection, which added a lovely local touch to the stay. A charming place with great hospitality, cozy rooms and a wonderful atmosphere. We would happily stay again and highly recommend it.

Everything was perfect!

Martin is an excellent host and cook! His breakfast are all homemade and very delicious. When we first check in, the house smells of cinnamon and gives really good vibes. We felt at home immediately and our rooms are comfortable. The bathrooms are modern and very clean too. Parking is free at the property. This property is located on the more peaceful west side of Isle of Skye, away from the crowded and busy Portree, which is on the east side of the island. Truly enjoyed with our stay and wish we could have stayed longer. There are only a total of 5 rooms and is mostly fully booked during the peak season.

Es war extrem sauber! Die fünf Jahre sieht man den Zimmern auf keinen Fall an. Die Deko wird mit viel Liebe ausgesucht und im Haus gibt es immer frische Blumenarrangements. Der Inhaber ist sowas von freundlich und zuvorkommend, man erhält gute Ausflugs- und Dinnertipps. Das Frühstück ist mit so viel liebe zum Detail zubereitet und wir hatten hier die besten Scrambled Eggs unseres Lebens.

A truly beautiful place to stay. The owner, Martin, prepares amazing breakfasts, and all the spaces throughout the property have soul and character. You can really feel that he puts his heart into his work. The entire place is full of thoughtful little details that make it feel warm, cozy and welcoming. At breakfast, Martin even translated the menu into my native language and it even included the day's weather forecast - such thoughtful touches that make the stay even more special. I will definitely come back!

One of the highlights of our scottish road trip! Delightful host, INCREDIBLE (I cannot stress this enough) breakfast, a lot of attention to detail, plenty of useful tips, we had an absolutely wonderful stay, I would recommend this to anyone travelling to Skye (and I would recommend anyone to travel to Skye).

We truly appreciated the hospitality and the attention to detail that has gone into creating this lovely cottage. Martin made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. He was warm and accommodating, prepared a delicious breakfast every morning, and offered excellent recommendations on places to visit. The room was perfectly clean, beautifully designed for comfort, and smelled amazing. The location is also fantastic—set on the quieter and more beautiful side of the island.

I have nothing but good things to say about the place

A very cosy and stylish B&B located in the beautiful Dunvegan. We are welcomed by Charles and taken very good cared by Martin during our stay. Every details are well considered. The breakfast is healthy and delicious with all home made pastry, yogurt, fruit salad… the scramble egg is THE best I had in Scotland. There is also EV charger which i haven’t seen in any other accommodation yet. Bring all the convenience. There is a very helpful website of the place with all detailed information for the area. The thing we love most is that there is a “Honest bar” in the living area, plenty of whisky, wine, beer we can have with self service. We had a great time there every night. If we come to Skye again, we will definitely stay here again, no doubt. 10/10

Das Roskhill House war ein Highlight auf unserer Rundreise durch Schottland. Das ganze Haus und die einzelnen Zimmer sind sehr gemütlich. Man fühlt sich nicht wie in einem Hotel sondern in seinem eigenen Zuhause. Die Zimmer waren sauber und sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Alle benötigten Utensilien sind vorhanden und es steht sogar Tee bereit. Das Frühstück ist extrem lecker und alles vor Ort frisch zubereitet (selbst das Brot wird selber gebacken). Das Essen ist Vegetarisch und auf Wunsch auch Vegan aber selbst für mich als Nicht Vegetarier war es perfekt. Die Lage ist super um die Insel zu erkunden und der Besitzer gibt gerne Ratschläge für die Erkundung ohne Aufdringlich zu sein. Pure Empfehlung!

Beste Unterkunft überhaupt! Sehr zuvorkommende Gastgeber, die uns nett begrüßt haben. Es wurde direkt nach Allergenen für das Frühstück gefragt. Super Frühstücksangebot, auch glutenfrei und vegan. Das Zimmer war sehr gemütlich und stimmig eingerichtet. Alles was man brauchen könnte, steht zur Verfügung. Man fühlt sich gleich wie Zuhause! Mit 2 Heizkörpern kann man die Raumtemperatur passend einstellen.

Roskhill House is an excellent B and B. Martin and Charles were excellent hosts who were kind, friendly and helpful in giving suggestions of places to walk and eat. The vegetarian/ vegan breakfasts were fresh,varied and delicious.

Roskhill House was our very favorite place we stayed in Scotland. It is a delightful bed and breakfast. Everything about it is charming. The rooms are so comfortable and beautifully decorated, the hosts are so kind and knowledgeable, and the entire B&B smells like something delicious is baking because it always is! I have not stopped thinking about the yummy porridge that I had for breakfast there. It is absolutely the best breakfast that you will have at a B&B. And if you need help planning your day out or figuring out where to have lunch, the hosts will help make sure that you make the most of your time on Skye. We can't wait to go back!

In Sachen Unterkunft war das Roskhill House sicher das Highlight unserer Schottland Rundreise. Super nette Gastgeber, alles sehr geschmackvoll, modern und liebevoll eingerichtet. Sehr ruhig, wir haben geschlafen wie Murmeltiere. Und das Frühstück ist der Hammer!

Es ist fast unmöglich hier ein Haar in der Suppe zu finden. Für uns war jedenfalls alles perfekt.

The B&B was absolutely lovely! Very clean with a nice area for breakfast and a little snug for the honesty bar. The location of Roskhill was relatively central on Skye, which is nice if you want to explore the whole island. The breakfast itself was delicious with quite a few options!

The bed wasn’t very comfortable.

This was next level accomodation. The attention to detail, food began breakfast made from scratch was varied and delicious. Service was lovely rooms were very tastefully appointed and beds very comfortable. Best accommodation in this category that I have ever stayed at. Will be back in October.

Das historische Haus wurde von Martin und Charles rundum renoviert. Unser Zimmer (Doppelzimmer mit kingsize bed) beeindruckt mit Designer-Assecoires, tollen Wandbildern und toller Ausstattung (zB mit eigenem Kühlschrank, wirklich bequemer Sitzgelegenheit und genügend Stauraum für Kleidung und Koffer). Die Gastgeber haben auch den Aufenthaltsraum und den Frühstücksraum funktionell und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. So sind alle Blumen frisch in Vasen schön arrangiert und sorgen für viel Atmosphäre. Das Highlight des Tages ist das Frühstück! Das Buffet ist ein Gaumen- und Augenschmaus! Je nach Wahl wurde von Martin Porridge und Eier in den verschiedensten Variationen, frisch zubereitet. Martin backt dabei neben dem Brot auch diverse Kuchen mit hochwertigsten Zutaten. So stammen die Eier von den eigenen Hühnern. Ich empfehle Cheese-Scones und das Porridgebrot. Er bereitet alles mit Herz und Leidenschaft zu, und das schmeckt man! Die Gastgeber stehen auch gerne mit Tipps für die Tagesgestaltung zur Verfügung. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt! Wäre der Weg nicht zu weit, ich würde sofort wiederkommen!

Exceptional stay at Roskhill House, everything was superb. The location was secluded, a short driveway, off the main road. Ideal to see Dunvegan & different areas of the Isle of Skye. Martin & Charles complimented each other in their daily running routines of their high standard accommodation. Both were great conversationalists with a lot of knowledge & experiences. Beautiful designed decor & lighting enhanced all areas. No. 5 a ground room, very clean, large area, well appointed with very good facilities. Breakfasts were fantastic, Martin showed his culinary skills, produced daily tasty surprises & lots of choices. Breakfasts to remember! Roskhill House is a highly recommended stay on the Isle of Skye.

Nous avons passé un super séjour, la chambre est juste parfaite, les petites attentions et la propreté sont au rendez vous Les petits plus, l'excellent petit déjeuner et je n'en fais pas des tonnes ainsi que le bar à Whisky très convivial qui permet de finir la journée en discutant avec les autres vacanciers et nos supers hôtes. Au plaisir d'y retourner.
