Molto bella e particolare la camera, spaziosa, confortevole e pulita, inserita in un contesto davvero degno di nota! Gentilissimo l'host che ci ha consigliato su come muoverci e dove andare. Forse avremmo preferito una colazione un pò più ricca e varia. Assolutamente l'ideale se ti fermi per una o due notti

L’emplacement de la guesthouse dans un quartier très safe . À distance des lieux d’intérêt en UBER ( entre 2 et 5€ la course ) . Le jardin est très beau , terrasse sympa , logement grand et confortable pour notre famille de 3 . Et merci pour l’accueil . En somme un très bon séjour . En prime on a pu laisser les bagages jusqu’à l’heure de notre vol en fin d’am . Merci

Fijne guesthouse op een goede locatie. Wij met een gezin van vier hadden een fijn verblijf. Twee losse bedden één op de begane grond en één op de vide. Één twee persoons bed op een aparte kamer. Helaas zat het weer niet mee, 10 Augustus, met mooier weer zal het vast heerlijk vertoeven zijn in de tuin en zwembad. Vanuit dit guesthouse een heel goed gids geregeld die ons Soweto heeft laten zien. Al met al een aanrader.

Eigenlijk niks. Hou wel rekening met het feit dat Johannesburg veel stroom problemen heeft. Maar dit ligt natuurlijk buiten de macht van Lucky Bean.

el desayuno muy bueno, las chicas son un amor y tanto conway como natasha muy simpaticos y atentos, te organizan el planning del dia en un momento. la zona es segura para andar y en las inmediaciones hay unos cuantos bares y tiendas

Eine wunderschöne Unterkunft in toller Lage. Conway und Natascha haben uns so herzlich aufgenommen und mit vielen Tipps und Angeboten versorgt. Auch das Team war super. Diese Unterkunft kann ich wärmsten weiterempfehlen!

Man sollte sich darauf einstellen, dass die Unterkünfte (ich denke das ist aber überall so) im Bad keine Heizung haben.

Chuveiro parou de fornecer água no meio do banho, em pleno inverno, muito frio, mas muito frio. FOI muito desagradável. Tampa do vaso sanitário desgastada, precisando ser trocada, box do banheiro extremamente sujo, sem shampoo ou amenidades Tv não funcionava, em plena Copa do mundo gostaríamos de ter assistido aos jogos. Não tinha secador de cabelo. O aquecimento do chalé era a gás e não podia ficar ligado a noite, portanto não tínhamos um ambiente aquecido a noite toda. As grandes janelas de vidro deixavam o quarto ainda mais frio.

Le logement était charmant, mignon et propret. Les deux propriétaires sont de très bon conseil et le personnel est super sympa. On recommande !

Everything was great. The welcome was warm and friendly. Hosts were super informative and helpful. They were determined to ensure that we had the best time and gave thoughtful and useful advice about where to go and how best to get there. Room was well appointed and furnished. Beds were comfortable and the breakfasts were good.

Only issue that we had was caused by the extremely cold weather conditions - water pipes froze overnight and we could not have hot showers in the morning. But hosts were helpful and considerate and it was not long before the pipes thawed.

Fantastic guesthouse with the best hosts Conway and Natasha. This really was a home away from home with a wonderful quiet, peaceful room, lovely breakfasts, friendly and kind staff. My hosts provided great ideas for meaningful tours to better understand the history, culture and people of Jozi, and checked in with me regularly to for example to see if I had dinner plans.

Conway met us on arrival and provided some great recommendations for things to do in Johannesburg. The Red City Sightseeing hop-on, hop-off bus was an excellent way to explore the city. We also found Uber to be a safe, convenient, and affordable way to get around. We also enjoyed the breakfast provided each morning.

The warm welcome of the hosts, when we arrived and during breakfast and how helpful they were with helping us plan our stay in Johannesburg. Also, it was very nice to upgrade the rooms.

Sehr netter Gastgeber, der viele Infos gegeben und für uns eine Tour durch Soweto organisiert hat. Die Lage ist in einer gut gesicherten Umgebung, das Auto konnten wir hinter verschlossenen Türen parken , die Entfernung zum nächsten Restaurant mit Uber in wenigen Minuten. Netter Frühstücksraum mit freundlichem Personal, Frühstück wird frisch zubereitet.

Es gibt nichts zu beanstanden.

Onze vlucht kwam laat op de avond aan, maar Conway had geregeld dat Derrick ons kwam ophalen van het vliegveld. Conway, zijn vrouw en team zijn super gastvrij en op aanraden van hen hebben we een tour samen met Cecilia door Soweto gedaan, heel indrukwekkend en een aanrader! De accommodatie was verder basic maar schoon en goed verzorgd. Het ontbijt bestond uit yoghurt met toppings en een vers gemaakt eitje met verschillende opties. We hebben een prettig verblijf gehad en komen hier graag nog een keer terug.

Het appartement is wat basic maar prima voor een aantal nachten.

Les + : Accueil parfait et sympathique par le personnel. Bonne literie, salle de bain spacieuse. Logement sécurisé et situé dans une zone sécurisée (Melville). Bons services (lits, vaisselle, thé, café, draps, ...). Possibilité de prendre le déjeuner (non testé). Quelques restaurants à distance de marche et facilement accessibles en Uber pour le soir. Beau jardin. Les - : chambre à rafraîchir notamment le tapis plein qui dégage une odeur de "pas frais" (personnellement je n'aime pas car allergie). Pas de moustiquaire aux fenêtres. Pas de prise près du lit comme indiqué. Le ménage pourrait être mieux fait. Étagère rouillée dans la salle de bains, tâches de rouille sur les serviettes, ...

Odeur due au tapis plein, je pense. Le manque de moustiquaire et pas de prise près du lit.

The staff were perfectly considerate and accommodating. Conway graciously organised airport transfers. The accommodation conveniently shows in pick locations for tours and is perfectly spacious and clean.

The room was very comfortable and quiet and the location was very close to where i needed to be. The recommended Italian restaurant was close and the food was very good.

I had a very late shower one morning and the hot water was finished.

Rustig, ruim en prettig verblijf in fijne wijk in Johannesburg. Uitstekend ontbijt. Vriendelijk personeel. Goede suggesties en hulp bij plannen excursies.

Chambre spacieuse, cadre agréable et très calme (jardin luxuriant et piscine). Hôtes et personnel attentionnés, conseils avisés pour les visites. Bon rapport qualité/prix.

La chambre aurait peut-être besoin d'être rafraîchie (peinture et moquette).

Fijne guesthouse in de veilige en leuke buurt Melville. Lief personeel. Mooie inrichting met Afrikaanse kunst. Fijne tips van Conway gekregen. Volgende keer blijven we zeker langer! Er valt nog zoveel te ontdekken en zij bieden originele tours aan.

Sehr schönes Guesthouse in einer sicheren Lage. Die Gastgeber geben sich sehr viel Mühe einem viele Tips für Johannesburg zu geben.

Lovely guesthouse with amazingly kind and helpful personnel. Nice neighborhood, they arranged an amazing Soweto tour with Cecilia, and their dinner recommendations were excellent. Would 1000% recommend and we looking forward to staying here again when we return.

The property is well maintained with beautiful artwork, lamps, pool, and landscaping. Great breakfast available, as well as wine and beverages on property. Host and staff warm and welcoming. Tremendously positive experience!

Mooi klein zwembad en tuin met veel groen en bloemen We hadden problemen met eea de gastvrouw heeft haar best gedaan om een oplossing te vinden.

Onze kamers waren duidelijk toe aan een grondige renovatie, geen deur in toilet maar een gordijn, stoffige oude gordijnen, tapijt oogde niet schoon, buiten/ tuindeuren met grote kieren Volgens de gastheer waren het budgetkamers, op booking.com nagekeken, stond niet vermeld, als wij het hadden geweten hadden we absoluut geen budgetkamers geboekt.

Un havre de paix qui permet de se poser et de profiter de Johannesburg . Accueil de grande qualité avec de nombreux conseils ( visites , restaurants ). La visite de Soweto avec Cécilia était parfaite . Chambre confortable et la piscine est un plus indéniable . Une adresse de qualité .

The place is itself is really beautifully decorated, this is one thing. Then there is Conway giving you the best advice to discover the city, he is really nice and available. The staff is also great and kind and the breakfast was perfect. We came here back 8 years ago, so it was our second time and it is even better than in our memories !

Confortable, quiet, safe, clean, great location, beautiful with lots of art. Owner and staff were terrific and offered us great tips about how best to enjoy the area.

It was a pleasure staying at lucky bean guesthouse - friendly staff / perfet location / good advice. We did enjoy staying in the garden and make use of tbe swimming pool after a full day of visits

La chambre, le jardin, la maison, tout était superbe, charmant et de bon goût . le quartier était très agréable et très « secure », à proximité d’une rue très animée et en face d’un petit restaurant plein de charme et délicieux . Nos hôtes étaient très prévenant et ont même pris de nos nouvelle, inquiets pour nous quand nous sommes partis au parc Kruger qui était en alerte 10 crue et inondation.

Our stay at the Lucky Bean could not have been better. It was our first stop on a month long vacation and the welcome we received after a long, long trip has set the tone for the rest of our trip. Conway and his entire staff go the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable in a relaxed, beautiful location in a wonderful part of Johannesburg. Our room was tastefully decorated and looked out onto a beautiful garden. He made arrangement for a tour of Soweto with the amazing Cecilia who I also highly recommend. In addition Conway coordinated our transfers to and from the airport with his driver Derrick who was also fantastic. All communication was clear and timely. The breakfast offered was cooked to order and delicious- a fabulous way to start the day before exploring Johannesburg. I give Lucky Bean my highest recommendation!

Located in one of the green safe areas of Johannesburg. Very friendly and helpful hosts.

De rust, het vriendelijke personeel, de groene oase, de mogelijkheid voor de late check out.

Die Lage der Unterkunft ist ruhig. Die Einrichtung ist jedoch sehr abgewohnt. Am Schrank hing der Griff herunter, und die Küche war stark heruntergekommen – die Schränke fielen fast auseinander. Die Außenanlage war komplett zugewachsen. Mit einem kleinen Arbeitseinsatz könnte es dort wieder sehr schön sein. Das Frühstück war gut. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, und auch die Eigentümer waren sehr hilfsbereit.

Tot molt bé. Els amfitrions i el personal molt amable amb nosaltres. La casa és molt bonica i està en una bona zona, molt tranquil·la, tot i que l'Uber segueix sent imprescindible per moure's.

Si haguéssim de dir alguna cosa, l'habitació era una mica humida i ens va faltar un assecador de cabells. A l'habitació no n'hi havia, i no vam pensar a demanar-lo.

My boyfriend and I had a short but sweet stay at the Lucky Bean Guesthouse :) Everything was well taken care of and the very friendly owners even helped me organize a little surprise for my boyfriends birthday by putting up balloons in our room. Highly appreciated!

Het personeel was heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Heerlijk ontbijt. Kregen ook goede tips voor restaurants en activiteiten. Komen zeker terug!

I had a great stay here. The owners and staff are friendly and gave great recommendations for food, activities, getting around, etc., the location is easy to get to and from and very safe, and the room was cozy. Great breakfast too!

The host was very nice, made arrangements for us to be picked up from the airport and saw to our requirements. The property was also very nice, with friendly staff.

Très jolie guesthouse dans le très beau quartier de Melville. Superbe jardin fleuri, avec piscine, très calme, parking sécurisé (et quartier secure, on peut s'y balader à pied sans problème). Très jolies chambres spacieuses et confortables, et nous avons été surclassés. Une cuisine commune est à disposition des hôtes, très pratique. Accueil très chaleureux de l'équipe de la guesthouse et des propriétaires. Une offre de petit déjeuner (non testée) est aussi disponible. Et pour se rendre aux différents sites à voir à Johannesburg, Uber et Bolt fonctionnent parfaitement.

We had a very good time in Lucky Bean Guesthouse, it is such quiet with nice view of the garden from our room. We were so nicely welcomed. We also really apprecied all the advices given to us to discover Jo'burg and excellent restaurants too. It's a city quiet difficult to apprehend. We appreciate the great care the ladies took for us at the breakfast.

Superbe maison avec un jardin verdoyant et une belle piscine. La chambre était spacieuse et très confortable. Le quartier de Melville est très beau et sympa, et a une localisation idéale pour visiter Johannesburg. Natacha et Conway sont des supers hôtes, très accueillants et surtout plein de bons conseils pour visiter la ville et y manger. Je recommande à 100% nous avons adoré notre séjour!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Lucky Bean Guesthouse. Lovely friendly staff, clean and confortable with a lovely garden and pool. Walking distance to the cafes/restaurants on 7th Ave as well as to a small shopping centre. I also did the tour of Soweto with Cecilia which the guesthouse organised and it was excellent.
