Captal Island Villa

-Far from the restaurant where breakfast is served. -I left the towel on the floor to be changed, but when i came back it was still the same. -At the restaurant, I was asked whether I wanted the food spicy or not. I clearly said no, but it was still spicy. The same with the coffee: I asked for it without milk, and it was brought with milk.

There was a very friendly atmosphere and a helpful owner and his partner, who took care of every detail of my stay. The owner, Xaa, helped me completely by chance to visit the nearby Gangehi Resort, for which I am extremely grateful — it was a unique opportunity, as before I had only seen such places on YouTube or in other people’s stories. Additionally, I didn’t have to pay for the stay at the resort, which was a very kind gesture on his part. On site, Zidane took great care of the guest house where I stayed — it was always clean, regularly serviced, and he also helped me with a very important matter, for which not only I am grateful :)))))))))

For a longer stay, the breakfast selection could be a bit more varied, although the food was tasty and fresh. The restaurant staff were also very helpful and extremely friendly.

Ritorneremo senz'altro.

The staff was amazing, the restaurant served very delicius meals. Guest relations Sru was the best, she was so helpful, very full of informations.

The rooms were a bit old and small, but really clean.

Great beach, lovely island friendly, helpful staff - new cafe by the beach served local dishes made by the women on the island in the afternoon. All the locals came and everybody was very friendly - it was a bit like tapas and very reasonably priced.

Breakfast was average at best

Very nice and friendly staff, who arranged for us to snorkel and where there to help us anytime. The location is very good, close to bikini beach. There is a big bottle of fresh water in the room every day. The chef was very good, we could choose traditional or international food and we loved the fish. We really enjoyed our stay in Mathiveri, especially in this hotel, we had a lovely holiday here and we can only recommend this hotel.

Nothing :)

Good breakfast and people kindness

Nothing to dry clothes

A nice guest house not far from the bikini beach. Good breakfast, good wifi, clean room with balcony.

Air conditioning

Overrated property and expensive for what provided - mandatory removal of shoes: embarrassing, always floor dirty because of this muslim practice. we’ve been in other guesthouse in Maldives and this was the only one requesting shoes removal - poor breakfast, chemical juice - island is a continuous working in progress, dirty and noising - scam on speedboat transportation, they ask to tourist 50$ for 2h trip while to locals not even 10$. Additionally the Indian girl managing the property didn’t want to give us 5€ back from our boat payment - don’t take kayak to go to finholu island, another Maldivian scam while you could go walking/swimming - no change of towels in 4 days - no curtain on the toilet, each shower creates an inundation

The rooms were clean and tidied up every day, which was great. The breakfast buffet was really tasty with different options to choose from in addition the coffee and tea were available all day. Overall, a fantastic place to stay. The Staff was very kind and helpful.

None

The location was very good.

Everything was great. Very clean (rooms are cleaned immediately after you leave the room...and we liked the good smell), and excellent staff. Amazing buffet breakfast. Everyday was rich and different from the day before. Delicious mas huni! You can decide to have lunch or dinner every day at Captal, with reasonably short notice. A special thanks goes to Sru, who is perfect host. Always kind, caring and smiling, and giving many good tips for a more dynamic holiday. Fifth time in Maldives but Mathiveri Is a special Island, with a wonderful beach ... and a small magic island (a sort of Robinson Crusoe's sand bank) closeby.

Nothing

Welcome drink and cold towel on arrival, luggage picked up from ferry, good breakfast, great excursion seeing mantas, nurse sharks and turtles, and very nice and helpful staff.

I liked the polite staff very helpful, the island is perfect the beaches, the local staff polite, clean room perfumed every day, pleasant.

I didn't like the meal times, there's not much choice, the time of the speedboat to the airport as well, there are only 2 times check before your flight time because the island is 3 hours away

Fantastico/Amazing

The island is very beautiful! The hotel staff is amazing. Make sure you go on excursions with nurse sharks and Mantas and turtles. It was awesome. If you come to Maldives and don’t swim with these amazing marine creatures it’s such a waste! I loved everything.

The Staff are The Best :))

I couldn’t stay more days ;((

Perfect location for any kind of holiday. Hotel is in a local island where you can enjoy all type of experience, from food to excursions and also chilling by the beaches! Staff is very friendly and they will help you find the best activities for you. Highly recommended!

The room was very clean, the location is very good, we had water in the room every morning, clean towels and sheets.

The breakfast it s not wow for my taste, but for other people I think it s a good option.

The staff is very kind and helpful. I liked the island tour they do for new arrivals. They gave me a lot of good advice. Room was cleaned every day which was nice. Breakfast was good (the maldivian one was super delicious🙂).

Very good food, enough in compare to other guest houses in Maldives. Our accommodation was located in Sunset Beach Stay. Very close to fabolous Beach with free sunbeds. We had everything what we needed. Our host was very friendly and helpful!

Just small thing: construction works next to the Sunset Beach Stay was sometimes pretty loud. But we spent most of the time outside.

Transfer from the ferry. Very good introduction with welcome juice. Responsivity to issues. Free upgrade to a room with balcony. New big water bottle each day. Backlight of the bed, and very comfortable bed.

Sewage smell in the bathroom, attempted to be covered with a very strong but horrible air refreshener. Old equipment in the bathroom. Not too clean. Balcony facing and touching the wall of another building, so no view.

Everything was great, food was excellent and we got very well cared off. We will definitely come again soon!

The Island is very nice for relaxing staff was good

The Hotel is in remote Island so it's some facilities are not same like other as usual hotels So Sometimes booking.com officials should check the value with guest payment is ok or not with shown their website the hotels enlisted

Pretty close to Stingray and Bikini beach. We were moved to another apartment in a new guesthouse which we liked a lot. The apartment was big and clean.

Breakfasts could have been more rich in variety od food (e.g. adding ham, cheese, some sweet pastry and fruits would be welcomed)

Captal Island Villa is really the best choice in Mathiveri! The staff is super helpful and kind, the hotel has recently renovated and it's cozy and clean. The rooms are spacious and the staff do the cleanings every day. The bed is comfortable and you can really have a good night of sleep. You can choose to have breakfast, lunch and dinner in here, and it's very good to have this option. From here you can reach easily and quickly the restaurants and shops and the two bikini beaches of the island. The staff will help you organize whatever trip or activity you want to do, snorkeling to the reef, seeing corals, mantas, turtles... We had the best time of our Maldives holiday in here, it's super recommended!

Spacious, clean, Saif was an amazing host

The location is close to public and tourist beach and the rooms are cleaned everyday. Bikini beach can be reached 5 min walk. Boat transfer went smoothly through captal Villa.

Hospitality should be improved. Especially for the breakfast person in charge should learn some basic hospitality.Food is monotonous and boring. For the price we pay and quality we get just not justify. They don't treat guests with respect. The team responsible for the excursion was not transparent regarding costs. Maybe next time share with guests transparent costs for each excursion. I don't understand how this Villa is so overrated under given conditions. The bathroom door handle was broken and somehow it's not fully functional . It is very sharp enough to cut through the hand twice. Maybe if you could change this it will help upcoming guests. The overall price performance ratio is low.

Very helpful and informative staff, great restaurant with super fresh food, big clean room.

Hard to say. Everything was amazing.

I liked everything, staff, location, rooms. Everything was perfect

Nothing, everything was fine

We felt like home. Great staff and excellent location. We will definitely come back again. We also appreciated support in booking the transport from Malè to Mathiveri. Recommended!

Friendly and helpful staff, clean room, good location.

My stay at Captal Island Villa on Mathiveri Island surpassed all expectations, leaving me with memories to cherish. From the moment I stepped foot into the villa, I was greeted with exceptional cleanliness that truly set the standard for excellence. The pristine condition of the villa reflected the dedication of the staff to maintain a welcoming and hygienic environment for guests. What truly set Captal Island Villa apart was its remarkable staff. The team’s warmth and hospitality made me feel like a cherished guest from the very beginning. Their genuine friendliness and eagerness to assist with any request made my stay truly memorable. Their attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond truly elevated the experience. One of the highlights of my stay was the unforgettable excursion organized by Captal Island Villa. Exploring the breathtaking beauty of Mathiveri Island and its surroundings was an experience I will never forget. From snorkeling in crystal-clear waters to discovering hidden gems along the coastline, every moment was filled with wonder and excitement. The expertise of the guides ensured a safe and enriching adventure, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the beauty of the Maldives. In conclusion, Captal Island Villa on Mathiveri Island is more than just a place to stay—it’s a destination that offers unparalleled hospitality, cleanliness, and unforgettable experiences. I cannot recommend it highly enough to anyone looking for a truly exceptional getaway in the Maldives.

Everything was perfect

Excellent stay. The hotel managed the transfer from Male Airport to Mathiveri by speedboat, and all the staff were outstanding in wanting to help. We had dinner (buffet), with a selection of local food, fresh fish. The room was very clean, with air conditioning and European 220V, the facilities are new, all the staff speak very good english, and you feel very welcome in Mathiveri where everyone is friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend.

Very friendly and kind staff! The Captai vila is very good place! We were greeted with drinks and cold towels. The guys had taken care of our luggage from the jetty to our room. One of the guys, whom we called Johnny Depp, showed us around the island and explained everything important to know about the place, very very nice and friendly! Very kind and responsive staff, always ready to help when needed. I shared before we arrived that I have a problem with coffee, I can't drink coffee which I don't like and I was offered a brand new coffee machine to use for the coffee which I had taken with me (coffee beans). The guy from the restaurant is very polite and kind, he made me coffee with a smile whenever I asked him! The breakfast in the restaurant is not very diverse, but you will certainly not be hungry. Their bread is great, it is baked on the island every day in a bakery. The island is great, beautiful huge palm trees and exotic water! Our stay was wonderful, we recommend it to everyone! I would like to visit the Captal Island villa again!

Captal Beach, dépendance de Captal Villa, is on the tourist beach, very nice and calm, spacious room.

Room was okay, but like all of the places in Maldives, you got the feeling that you don't get value for your money. Close to smaller tourist beach. They are offering good boat trips.

Waking up for morning praying call. Bring USD, you need to pay rent with USD and rate for paying Rufyas was terrible. 1usd=17,9MVR

The whole Captal Island team was very friendly and provided us a professional service. The host picked us up and brought us to the port. We liked the tasty meals at the restaurant. We recieved an upgraded room next to the bikini beach. Wi-Fi Aircon, hot water flawless. Huge variety of activities around the island.

Great activities on offer, friendly staff and close proximity to beautiful beaches. We were met upon arrival and helped with our bags. There is a small garden and living space to relax in.

Breakfast was very basic, however I understand the difficulty in obtaining fresh produce on the island.

Super kind and helpful staff, they made our stay a unique experience. The free walking tour is an excellent opportunity to get to know the island and its local people. The hotel is very nice, our room was spacious and clean, with big and comfortable beds. The breakfast was delicious and abundant. We wish we could have stayed longer!

Unforgettable experience! This accommodation surpassed all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. This accommodation isn't just a place to stay, it's a destination in itself. An absolute gem that defines excellence in hospitality. Our stay here will be etched in our memories – pure perfection!

I stayed at the extension of the Captal Villa which is brand new and comfortable.

Poor communication with the management. You have to give them multiple calls/messages in advance and still gets it wrong. I guess it’s an island way of life. Way too relaxed 🤷🏻‍♂️

Very friendly staff. Cleaning every day and water in the room. Breakfast is always the same, but the quantity is sufficient. Sometimes a lot of noise from the hallway where the PlayStation is.

On arrival, a terrible smell from the toilet. The staff solved it during the stay. Big leaks in the balcony doors. Ants and mosquitoes went in there

The accomodation was very clean and well equiped. There was a fridge in our room, we got watter every day. Breakfast is very tasty and you can eat as much as you want. People there are nice and friendly. They helped us to book speedboat (it is cheaper than if you book it on your own), waited in the harbour, took baggage to the accomodation, explained everything and they were here for us during the whole stay. I highly reccomend this accomodation!

Nice and cozy place, good food and friendly staff. I recommend this place.

Beautiful and tranquility very good air conditioning in our room

Poor selection of menu the same food every day served nothing different, when eating your main meal the dessert of ice cream would be brought out when you were not actually finished so would end up with melted ice cream if you didnt say to take it back it was like you were being rushed to get it over and done with, also while you was eating you world be disturbed by numerous persons asking how your day has been or how is the food they would even pull a chair out and sit down asking questions while you were eating so the limited food choice also went cold, the arranged activitie on two occasions nobody showed up the first time as arranged to use golf car or motorcycle to take me and second time arranged was told to be downstairs waiting for 8.15am in the morning 9.30am still waiting because other people late getting up and again the promised transfer for me to get to the harbour didnt arrive, expensive boat journey from male to the lsland we got charged $50 per person each way when the actual cost is $25, our room was apparently upgraded to a bigger room but with 12inches of space each side of the bed made it very very difficult to get in and out of bed and come 8.30pm in the evenings nothing to do not even a television in your room, the most activity the place had was around 11am time when the young boys would be cleaning the rooms with music blaring out so no real thought about the visitors l feel so much more could be done to make this a really enjoyable experience but seems to have lack of input and insight to make this happen

Spent a wonderful 4 days in this hotel. Firstly, the hotel is very sincere to the point that the hotel's employees became friends. I felt at home, very friendly and sincere people. Even a bonus can take pictures of you 😅🙏🏻 I will miss them! 🥺❤️ In general, the hotel is very clean, the staff is 100 out of 10! The food is delicious, especially the club sandwich. For such a price a wonderful hotel. The owner of the hotel organizes tours. I advise you to swim with sharks and a stingray🥹🦈😍 The owner of the hotel is also a wonderful person. It will help in everything, solve all your problems. There are very few of them) I will miss and will definitely come back here!

First of all, I express my gratitude to the hotel staff and management. I travel a lot, but I have never seen such service. The service is generally top 🔥 approach to each person, understanding and ability to be friends with everyone, this is a very good quality of staff. They are like one family, very friendly and polite, which creates an atmosphere of good relaxation and good mood. We became so friends with them that we didn’t want to leave this hotel, we even extended it for 4 days☺️. Everything is at the highest level 🔥 The manager is very nice, he even made friends with his family... he can help you with transfers and tours and generally make you a plan for your entire vacation. Thanks to them, I learned the Maldivian culture, mentality, nationality; they are very cool people with a kind heart🫶. Coming to this island, I felt completely comfortable, as if I was in heaven✨ I will not forget our tours with dolphins, sharks and manta rays, the magnificent Titanic tour, riding on jetSki .. full of unforgettable emotions. I will remember so warmly the atmospheric evenings when we all got together with sweets, played guitars, chatted until the morning, walked in the evenings next to the ocean and celebrated my friend’s birthday. (by the way, if you need a fresh birthday cake, it’s not a problem, you need to contact the manager in advance.. I was so surprised that they ordered red velvet with a wish on the island 🥹 it’s just super 😍✨) I recommend this hotel with all my heart, I know for sure that you will have an unforgettable vacation.. So warm, cozy at the same time full of adrenaline 😍🔥.. I’m already planning a vacation with my parents for the New Year with the hotel manager so that they too feel like they’re in Paradise😍☺️🙏🏻 Thank you for everything, Captal Villa Hotel 💐

I liked the food, the prices are good and very tasty, fresh, you can order it to your room.

As soon as we arrived on the island, the staff was waiting for us at the port to take us to our accommodation. They also gave us a tour of the whole island, which was very useful. The staff was always very nice, smiling and very communicative. For dinner, we had the opportunity to choose from a number of dishes. We chose 2 main dishes and they also brought us a large fish, ice cream and basically everything we wanted. The portions were huge, you couldn't even eat them. The staff was even willing to bring us snorkeling equipment directly to the beach. The room was beautiful, we even had a balcony with a beautiful view. We definitely recommend this accommodation and we hope to come back here again. :))

I really liked this place. One could feel the care on the part of the staff and the interest in clients having a good time. The hotel was very welcoming and listened to all your needs. The staff is wonderful, and special thanks to the chef for the huge portions of delicious fish that we ate every day. Also thanks to the chef for the evening of national dishes. It felt like you were in a circle of friends, perhaps thanks to the other residents of the hotel. It was also the first time I remembered the names of all the hotel staff.;)) Tip: be sure to take sunscreen with you, as it is not always available in stores on the island. In the first days, do not go to the "picnic" island )) And, if you have time, then take a ride on a public ferry, where you can admire the beauty of the ocean and see dolphins. My only regret is that I only took it once during the trip. Overall, I recommend it 100%; for me it turned out to be better than other five-star hotels (I won’t name names). If you are young and love to explore the culture and cuisine of other countries, then this is definitely the place for you. And in general, book, I think you won’t regret it.

Our stay coincided with the presidential election, which made moving between the islands a little more difficult that day but the host was very helpful with this. The staff here is very friendly and polite. We were received very cordially. Everything in the room was new and clean (fresh towels and sheets, clean toilet and shower). Everyday cleaning. The switchers and universal sockets are by the bed. All appliances were in order. Breakfast was hearty, served in the restaurant. Guys can also arrange various water activities. The island is very charming and picturesque..

Amazing place, with great food and the staff was very friendly! Enjoyed our stay! Beautiful Island

It is a cozy hotel with friendly stuff.. near to the beach .. food was sufficient..

Very friendly staff, great food, great place. Everyone doing their best to make your stay comfortable. Definitely recommend

Stayed here with my boyfriend and I was very pleased. Rooms are clean, with Smart TVs and A/C. You get towels for shower and for the beach. Everybody from staff is very kind, the chef is great, fried noodles with tuna/shrimp is a must-try. They organize excursions and trips that are great. Theh have snorkeling with sharks, mantas, rays ans turtles, we went to Sandbank and to the Lost Island. The guides that acompany you on these excursions are very professional and kind. I will definitelly return here if I come back to Maldives.

We should stay more days there...

The hotel is definitely recommendable. It is very clean and fragrant, daily cleaning, great breakfast, well-functioning air conditioning. Very helpful and kind manager and employees. You have help every step of the way, you even have a PS5 at your disposal. I definitely recommend and thank you for everything
