Good, non-squeaky private bunk beds. Lovely staff. Nice cafe attached. Gorgeous little kitty cat., and fast and cheap laundry.

Not enough toilet/shower facilities for the number of people in the dorm. Really didn't see the point of the mixed dorm having a kick that beeped everytime anyone went in or out, and I hated the teeth brushing sink being in the comman area. 🤢

Really cosy and friendly environment, the staff were so welcoming and helpful, they give you loads of recommendations for food and plan activities most evenings, the beds were really comfortable, the location is absolutely perfect, would recommend everyone stays here!

The noise from the road outside did wake me up in the night but there are ear plugs provided and otherwise the room was really great

Das Personal dort war super nett und herzlich. Die Night Market Tour war cool und auch die Movie Night. Also wirklich ein soziales Hostel. Man hat Tipps bekommen und die Betten waren auch groß mit Privatsphäre.

Leider Bettwanzen im Bett und der Flur mit Badezimmer ohne Klimaanlage.

This is hostel is such a special place! Elisa and her team created a small home away from home, making all their guests feel welcome. They give you the best tips to explore around (definitely follow the list of recommended restaurants, I had the best food), organize activities like trivia night and board games night, and even do a tour for the night market. The place itself is cozy, clean, with comfortable beds. But for me it was the atmosphere and the kindness and passion of the people that made my stay one of best of my Malaysia trip. And they have the cutest cat!

I was surprise that Ipoh accommodations were on the pricey side comparé to my other stops. We received a warm welcome, lots of information given about visits, restsurants and a WA communitiy to get in touch with other travelers. Elisa is a great host and the night market visit and movie nights were lovely.

The mattress was not that comfortable. Usually when you book a dormitory you have a common space available to cook, have a coffee. Here the common place was the cafe, so when it was closed no place to sit, hang out, not cutleries..

Un Hostel très chaleureux où on se senti rapidement comme à la maison. L’accueil du personnel est adorable, de plus chaque jours des activités sont organisées. C’est très confortable et clean. Et bien situé.

Rent, meget hjælpsomt og imødekommende personale. Hotellet havde planlagt sociale aktiviteter som brætspil og tur til nightmarket. Rene og store senge med lys og opladningsmuligheder.

The staff were super friendly and welcoming. The beds were clean and comfortable, and the facilities were great too, spacious lockers, air con, hairdryers, and filtered water. There’s also a cafe downstairs, which is really convenient. The location is great, and the hostel provides lots of useful information about things to do in the area, as well as food recommendations. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Staff is very friendly, bed and room are okay.

Bathrooms are very old, not clean enough, terrible. Also if you don't like cats, don't go there. The location is weird, it seems like an abandoned place.

It’s fantastic! Great location, great staff and great volunteers. The volunteers have honestly made my trip so enjoyable. Plus the movie nights are an awesome way to end the day. Everything is clean and really well maintained. The beds are insanely comfortable and the rooms are quiet at night. Best part is the kitten! I booked 2 night and am now staying 6!

Das Hostel ist einer meiner Favoriten gewesen! Die Leute sind sooooo cool dort, das ist wie eine Family (die Owner sowie die Gäste!). Die Betten sind krass bequem und gross, die Zimmer sind richtig grossräumig & allgemein ist das Hostel super ausgestattet.

The owner and staff were wonderful and the common area is a nice cozy cafe. There’s a very cute kitten. They organize activities and have a group chat to help connect people.

The place is right on the street so whenever there was a motorcycle or sport car ripping past it was really loud 🥲 make sure to have earplugs with you. The shower’s walls could do with more frequent scrub as there was quite grimy.

Amazing hostel, The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the bathrooms are clean. The staff is amazing and they organize different activities every evening so it's perfect to meet people. I will definitely be coming back !

La proprietaria,,non ho abbastanza parole per ringraziarla della sua disponibilità ed accoglienza. Ho avuto un problema con una prenotazione alle Perethian ed è stata subito pronta e disponibile ad aiutarmi, ha chiamato lei personalmente la struttura e spiegato il mio problema, è stata quasi tutto il pomeriggio al telefono tra chiamate e messaggi finché non risolvessi il problema. Una persona davvero speciale. Ok merito alla struttura è accogliente e pulita, io ho alloggiato al dormitorio femminile, la camera è ampia , spaziosa con tetto alto, materasso comodo, il bagno è adiacente alla camera in una sorta di antibagno anch'esso ampio. L' alloggio si trova a due passi da concubine Line, zona centralissima. La proprietaria ha organizzato un tour gastronomica al Night Market la sera con tutti gli altri ospiti ed è stato davvero una serata speciale perché alla fine abbiamo cenato tutti insieme all' hostello. Che dire rimarrà sempre nel mio cuore mi sono sentita in famiglia, a casa !!!Gtazie grazie ancora.

Unico neo l' arnica condizionata che viene accesa alle ore 03:00 pm nella camera e fa davvero molto caldo.

The most comfortable bed that I slept in while in Southeast Asia for 3 1/2 months! Elisa is always upbeat and willing to help. She’s Amazing! The hostel has a restaurant in it that was very good and the prices are reasonable. It’s in a great location. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay! I would love to return to Ipoh and when I do, I will stay here!

Location and respectful roommates

The toilet lock was not working perfectly, I was locked inside for a couple of seconds. Also, be aware that in the female dorm, there's no cover/roof of the bed, so if you were lucky like me, the light of the room would be on the top of your head/eyes and it's not possible to sleep without turning it off.

I adored everything about this hostel. The host & volunteers are so lovely and welcoming. The hostel itself is beautifully designed and has such a warm atmosphere. The beds are spacious and clean, there is free water and multiple games you can play on offer. There’s an adorable 5 week old kitten called Joaa who loves to play, you can swap books, join in with multiple different evening activities and eat in the wonderful cafe. I ended up staying here for 4 nights due to how lovely the hostel is, I initially had only planned to stay for 1! The hostel is in the most perfect location for accessing the street art & murals. I would highly recommend staying here to anybody.

這次訂的是女生背包房，不需要爬上下舖，且個人的床位空間很大，睡起來非常舒適！樓下的共享空間也很棒，在炎熱的天氣可以躲在室內吹冷氣，還可以充電，也有桌遊可以借來玩，稍作休息再繼續探索怡保市區～ 老闆娘非常熱情地接待，一直跟我們聊天，關心我們～check in的時候馬上給我們自製的美食景點推薦清單，推薦我們去吃好多在地美食，真的很感謝～我們居然還在檳城的街上巧遇，真是太巧了！

Elisa is the most amazing host! She mingles amazingly well with all the guest but is also very professional. Her excitement is very contagious :)

在旧街场核心位置，附近步行距离全是各种好吃的老店，旁边就是《流俗地》中的坝罗华小、近打组屋、鸿图酒楼等，老板Elisa贴心的准备了《流俗地》巡礼地图还有小说可以翻阅。女生间在三楼，有单独的门禁，房间非常大，床铺很舒服，干净，大家也都很有素质，睡得很好。可以选择付费洗衣也可以选择自己洗，三楼的公共区域有晾晒衣架，很贴心。跟Elisa聊天非常开心，她还会定期组织夜市巡游、电影之夜、游戏之夜的活动，一楼咖啡厅舒适，e人跟i人都能在这里找到舒适的空间。一家远超预期的青旅。

The owner Elisa is amazing. There was some activity organized every evening. She took us to a night market and showed us around. Great recommendations for where to eat and what to see. The bed was very confortable and the whole place was very clean. Thanks to the activities I got to know other guests and it was super easy to socialize. Loved my stay.

If someone walks in the dormitory, you can feel the vibration of every step rattling your bed. The main road right next to the Café is used by chads driving their insanely loud tuned sports cars/bikes until around 2 AM. Even good earplugs won't save you from that

Très calme et zen, propre et minimaliste. On s'y sent tout de suite à l'aise. Les lits sont grands et confortables, la température est bien.

L’emplacement de l’établissement était au top Mention spéciale pour la literie et le coussin. C’était très confortable et assez grand. Les espaces communs étaient mignonnes, un coin extérieur pour pouvoir se ressourcer et lire un livre. Le personnel vraiment très gentil.

Dommage que parfois on tombe sur des personnes plus respectueuses dans la chambre. Ce qui était moins bien dans ce séjour. La salle de bain pourrait être mieux nettoyée et un peu plus souvent.

Location

Elisa made the stay so wonderful. When checking in you are provided with a document that gives suggestions on food, activities and how to get around the area and areas nearby. She also organizes night market tours and movie nights. Despite how social the hostel is it’s also very calm atmosphere and the female dorm was very quiet and calm while I was there. Despite the beds only being separated by curtains it still felt pretty private when sleeping or relaxing.

There could be more frequent checks on the bathrooms. While they were clean the women’s toilet ran out of toilet paper quickly and could go a day before being restocked.

Lovely cosy hostel! The dorm was big but it felt very private, we slept well. The cafe downstairs was lively and full of charm. Super sociable if you want it to be. We spontaneously joined a hostel trip to the night market led by hostel owner Elisa and ended up chatting away into the night with our hostel mates. Elisa is really passionate and taught us so much about Ipoh culture and food and both her and Slipper were really helpful and warm, encouraging us to chat with each other. Group chat was also an excellent idea and helped us to link up with people to go sightseeing with. Very clean place, free drinking water and fantastic location. Highly recommend, would definitely go back!

Clean bathrooms and dorm rooms. Air conditioning is good and lockers are big enough for rucksacks. Security is very good with key card entrance to dorm rooms. The staff are very kind and helpful. Although a little pricy, the cafe food and drinks are really delicious!

The only common space is the cafe area downstairs. No free breakfast items, but there are plates, utensils, and you can ask for hot water.

這旅舍真的用心經營，在世界各地已經很難得遇到。他們每日都會安排活動給客人，盡力讓客人留下美好回憶。還有我非常欣賞提供當地有什麽好去處及好吃的當地食物。最值得一讚是能夠凝聚客人。令我想再來怡保，非常成功。

唯一有一點想改善的地方，如上網會間中斷掉或緩慢。不過其他都相當滿意，盼望網絡提高速度就100分

Tolles Hostel, da gibt es nichts auszusetzen :) so freundliches Petsonal! Bequeme Betten, gemütlich, Lage top. Aber eine Nacht reicht in Ipoh, so vieles gibt es hier nicht zu sehen... auch wenn man in dem Hostel gerne ein paar Nächte länger bleiben könnte :)

In particular like the female dorm, which is on the 3rd floor and is separate from the rest. Location is superior, just a couple of minutes walk from the train station, and is at center of the old town, and walkable to the attractions and shops. Very friendly staffs, and they have prepared a PDF file to provide all the information you need about this lovely town and main attractions, also set up a WhatsApp group on group activities

離熱鬧的區域超級近，走出去就到了，很多吃的喝的，還有逛的，還有一間很厲害的酒吧（椰子啤酒）。主人也很熱心，有空會帶客人出去走走。旅館1樓是咖啡廳，也是公共區域，很適合用筆電工作。總之來怡保非常推薦！

Alles war wirklich super. Es gab nichts auszusetzen. Sauber, Gemütlich, Alles was man brauch. Wir haben eine Tour mit der Besitzerin gemacht. Sie und Personal sind einfach toll gewesen. Vielleicht die Klimaanlage, aber das ist ja immer nicht so einfach.

Rien à redire, l'emplacement est vraiment au top, le dortoir (femmes) est grand et confortable, et le personnel est aux petits soins. Si je repasse par Ipoh, je reviendrai ici !

La responsable de l'auberge gère le tout avec grand soin et essaye d'améliorer jour après jour son auberge. je recommande vivement ! des activités sont également organisées ce qui permet de rencontrer du monde et d'échanger.
