By far the best sleep I have ever had in Ipoh. The place is located at a busy street, but sleeping in the hotel is peaceful and quiet. Good security, aircon is cold too for two super hot days. Will come again!

It’s a place that has history and the owners are proud to display it. The staff is very polite, unobtrusive, friendly, welcoming. Easy access to the Concubine lane and museums, lots of food options around

The street that seemed empty during the day suddenly became loud and noisy right when we went to sleep. Cars revving with engines, fireworks on the occasion of the Chinese new year. At 8am on Sunday the shop across the street started playing loud music. There’s nothing the hotel can do about it, we were just unlucky probably.

The room is on the second floor without a lift. Is not suitable for elderly. Aircon is noisy during the whole night. The sound proof is bad, I can hear the sound from the next room. The roof at the toilet is leaking when raining, the dirty water drops from the roof when sitting on the toilet bowl. I feel frustrated when I stay here.

I like the location, the decoration of the room and banquet hall is beautiful, the staff is also very friendly, I still choose to stay in your hotel, just hope you can keep the hotel clean and tidy

The bed in my room (2) on the ground floor was unstable and the cleaning was not done well and not up to standard...the sofa outside was not cleaned and had a lot of sand on it

The property was in an excellent location, close to the centre. The building has been thoughtfully restored and our room had everything we could need. The air con was very efficient. The owner was very friendly, and helpful with tourist advice. Great value for money too!

La ubicación es lo mejor de este alojamiento, a 1 minuto de cafeterias y tiendas. La habitación tiene aire acondicionado.

Las instalaciones. Acceso a habitación con escaleras muy estrechas y habitación muy pequeña. No hay desayuno.

Ottima posizione vicino alla stazione dei treni e alla zona dei ristoranti e al vicolo Concubine Ln . Hotel molto pulito e ricercato negli arredamenti. Camera grande e pulita. Staff molto gentile, ci ha anche anticipato il check in.

Unico nota negativa non c’è l’ascensore per salire alle camere superiori.

沒有電梯，行李需要搬到2樓會稍微辛苦。

The location was great. The hotel was basic but fine. I liked the open brick aesthetic.

We did not see any staff, cleaners or other guests except for check in and check out. The reception desk was unmanned the rest of the time. The room was not cleaned during the 3 night stay.

The location is ideal for anyone exploring Ipoh. There aren't many hotels in the Old Town and Ban Loong is in easy walking distance of all the pretty streets and alleyways. It's an old building which has been superbly renovated. The rooms are functional and vary greatly in size. But for 1-2 nights that's fine. Friendly staff, no.problem to deposit luggage etc.

Location is convenient to walk to all the old town attractions. We got the front Deluxe room. Very nice with attached bath, however there are street noises but it’s ok as it’s not a busy road. The private car park is really an added value as getting a car park is difficult in Ipoh. The room is well lit.

The toiletries could be better. The toilet seat is too small for the bowl, should get a suitable size. There is no suitable lounge area for relaxing and to enjoy the heritage building.

I like old heritage building. Luckly i got My own bathroom when i book the hotel. I am So happy.

Sharing bathroom might not convinent to some people but i am ok.

We really enjoyed our stay in this quaint old building with a lot of history. Good location, with shops and restaurants nearby. We stayed in room 10 that had lovely big windows which let in an abundance of light. The room was minimalistically decorated but suited the room which has old brick walls. Very friendly staff, complimentary refills of water in a very nicely decorated lounge. Highly recommend this place.

Shower temp was unable to be adjusted, bathroom seemed half renovated, room not cleaned or refreshed during our stay. Not exactly a ‘boutique hotel’ but maybe it will grow into the name.

The room is spacious. They provided free parking for their guests (but I think it is limited). The room is clean and the common area is well decorated.The location is near to Concubine lane & ipoh park. Walking distance to the Ipoh train station too.

I think it is just Ipoh in general, but the place can get a little too quiet at night.

Maybe for others, the water pipes might be disturbing especially during night time. A bit dusty on some surfaces.

The edges of the double bed or window frame can be cleaner if done so. Have to bring own shampoo... But overall, pleasant stay.

We had stayed a few weeks back and decided to visit Ipoh a little more so chose this beautiful place again. Did not disappoint again. It’s just great.

Close to all food and attractions. Room is beautifully decorated. Reliable WiFi access. Host are very surpurb. Let us to leave lugguges before check in. Will stay again when next to Ipoh again

Loved the location of the property as well as the history of the building; the hotel has a story behind it which they are not capitalizing on.

The lack of additional touches in the room such as an extra side table or shelf unit, artwork to accentuate the walls. The TV was impossible to work which was frustrating.

Excellent, helpful staff: Went out of their way to accommodate odd arriving and leaving times.

We were surprised bathroom facilities were shared - they were fine, just hadn't expected it. No problem, we will use this hotel again.

Great little spot near all the action of Ipoh. The bed was super comfy and the room was nice and dark / quiet despite being on a main road.

Great room (we booked a superior room), with a large bathroom. Very helpful staff allowed us to check in early as the room was vacant and stored our luggage on day of departure.

This property has been well renovated and is very comfortable. My room was spacious.

There was dirt and dust around the edges of the room and on top of the light fittings when I arrived. But otherwise the room was spotless.

The place was clean and comfortable. Fill very secure with a door lock. We check in 2pm. The staff very nice women. Thank you assist us. The toilet very big and clean. The vibes very nice

The walls are thin, and you can hear the doors opening and closing from the other rooms, and footsteps from the stairwells.

Super location, the bed was clean, and I loved the water dispenser (the water was very cold).

Very noisy at night: we were woken up multiple times by very loud banging noises from what we think were the pipes on the ceiling (we stayed in room #1). The WiFi was also very bad. I was also very uncomfortable that the front desk staff left their email open when they weren't there. I could see a lot of emails including private data, and it felt very unsafe.

Live cockroach in the room and could not stay another night. Four walls of brick made it feel like a jail cell. Water condensing and dripping onto the bed.

Great little hotel in the old town, in a pretty quiet area

Very nice hotel in the midst of Old Town Ipoh. The rooms are as advertised, with exposed brick walls, TV and bed. Our room had an ensuite bathroom, which had a brand new instant hot water heater that worked great. Clean and comfortable! The shared bathrooms in the hallway looked nice and well maintained (even though we didn't need to use them). Great location to for easy walking around old town or over the bridge to the new town.

We had an issue with a few mosquitos getting into the room. Not quite sure how they got in considering we didn't have a window that opened in the room.

The sink was broken. When we turn op the tap, the water sinks on the floor and there was a problem with water heater. The water was coming from heater. Also it was rainy when we were there and it was so noisy which blocks to sleep

Staff might also want to check if the bathrooms are supplied with enough toilet paper and soap on a daily basis.

Very comfortable, clean and the lady was so kind. Good price good location. We just parked our car at the designated hotel parking and just booked grab to travel around the famous location - as the hotel located nearby to everything so the Grab fare were not expensive and no need to think about finding parking. Recommended!

It’s at the centre of Ipoh. Nearby a lot of coffee shops and popular eatery places.

The toilet is very small. Below of basin is leaking thus toilet was wet throughout our stay. I think the room only will be made up upon request.

The hotel is clean and has character and the staff were helpful.

There is no restaurant in the hotel so no breakfast I knew this when I booked but on reflection I think it needs something like this. Location is handy for the station.
