This is one my favourite hotels I’ve ever stayed in. A truly beautiful and historic building overlooking Lake Garda. The breakfast terrace and pool area were so picturesque. Room comfortable size and nicely decorated. Great breakfast lots of options. We would definitely stay again.

If you love Belle Epoque and Art Nouveau, you’ll absolutely adore Hotel Laurin. It was built in 1905 by a banker for entertaining guests. Unfortunately, it was used as the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry of the fascist Republic of Salò. The palazzo was converted to a hotel by the current owners’ family in the 1960’s. So many art nouveau treasures are found throughout the hotel which exudes old world charm. This is contrasted by a vast collection of vibrant modern photography. The renovated junior suite in which we stayed enjoyed a beautiful view over the manicured grounds onto the beautiful Lake Guarda. The restaurant with a gorgeous garden terrace and lakeview was excellent but rather pricey for Italy. The pool was lovely and long enough for a few relaxing laps in the morning and afternoon. There was plenty of lounge chairs and other seating options in the garden to accommodate all guests. The staff was wonderfully friendly, helpful and competent. There was also a charger for our electric car. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Laurin!

I would like more fish on the dinner menu. The shower was fantastic only a little slippery to step into.

We were very satisfied with our stay, the stuff was friendly and helpful, starting with the porter which greeted us and the rest of team at hotel and restaurant. I've also liked that there are some extra towels at the pool, which is not common as I've learned after t hat stay. Rooms are spacious and quiet. Beautiful interiors (decorated public lounges)

Das Hotel Laurin kann ich nur empfehlen , Personal sehr sehr nett mann fühlt sich einfach wohl ,kommen gerne wieder auch unser kleiner Bolonka Hund fühlte sich sehr wohl ,durfte uns immer und überall begleiten.

Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und vielfältig. Das Omelette mit Schinken und Käse war sehr lecker. Die Erdbeeren waren frisch und süss.

Det ligger precis bredvid vägen vilket innebär mycket ljud från trafik. Sängarna är obekväma och kuddarna är ännu värre. Man kan förvänta sig mer av ett lyxigare boende.

The setting, friendliness of the personel and the marveless room were superb. The dinner in Magnolia and the breakfast were perfect.

Actually nothing all was good, i have have to make one comment to improve is the coffee in the room, freezedry coffee is not done anymore there should be minimal a nescafe cup machine or similar.

Io e mia moglie siamo venuti per il mio compleanno. Siamo stati accolti benissimo, bella location, piscina piccola ma tenuta molto bene e staff gentilissimo. Ottima la colazione vista lago.

la camera molto bella e molto curata. Unica vera pecca della stanza è stata l'impossiblità di tenere spenta l'aria condizionata quando si usciva dalla stanza. Ogni volta che toglievamo la tessera per l'elettricità ed uscivamo dalla stanza tornavamo con l'aria condizionata a tutta potenza a 23 gradi quindi faceva molto freddo. Un po troppo marcato il contrasto tra la modernità delle camere da letto e la "classicità" della hall e del bar dell'hotel. Forse andrebbe svecchiato anche il resto per renderlo un po più uniforme.

Fantastisches Jugendstiljuwel, sehr gepflegt, voller Charme und bester Ausstattung. Das Personal ist freundlich, hilfsbereit und umsorgt einen unaufdringlich.

Die vorbeiführende Straße nach Salo ist vormittags und am späten Nachmittag stark befahren.

The hotel and its surroundings are beautiful, and the location is excellent. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which made our stay very comfortable. We also loved the pool area, it was beautiful, relaxing, and a great place to spend time.

The breakfast was good overall, although some items occasionally ran out and took a while to be replenished. At times, it was also a bit difficult to get the attention of the waitstaff, both in the restaurant and by the pool. As a small note, we were staying here during our honeymoon, and while some other hotels had surprised us with a small gesture, the occasion wasn't acknowledged here.

Sehr schönes Hotel , leider zu viele klein Kinder. Das passt nicht zusammen , in diesem tollen alten Gebäude. Mit dem gewünschten Klientel und sehr guten Restaurant geht das Für uns leider nicht!

Its absolutely stunning. So so beautiful. We dined in the restaurant every day because apart from very cute it was delicious! The room is huge and super clean. We loved it and want to go back :)

Salo is a bit far from the main towns in Garda! Take that into account

The staff are all so kind, helpful and friendly. The hotel building and premises are a very sensitive blend of history, genteel charm and modernity in order to provide a luxury comfortable stay. Breakfasts offered a wide variety of food. The location is perfect for a short walk into Salo and to the lake.

Everything was exceptional. The hotel is beautiful, elegant, and full of charm. The rooms were comfortable and spotless, the pool area was stunning, and the food was excellent. What made our stay truly special was the amazing atmosphere and the kindness of the staff. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.

Man kann als Gast nicht von der Eingangsebene mit den Lift in den zweiten Stock fahren. Selbst dort angekommen muss man wieder 6 Stufen hinunter gehen um ins Zimmer zu gelangen.

The location was excellent. Short walk to the centre of Salo. Staff were all very helpful and courteous. Good selection at breakfast.

There wasn't anything that I disliked.

The ambience of the Italian villa. The exquisite view from the breakfast terrace and from the lakeside bedroom.

The less expensive bedroom was not exciting.

The hotel is elegant, classic Italian and very attractive but at the same time offers modern amenities in the refurbished rooms. The location is excellent for a lovely gentle walk into the town either by the lake or through the pretty narrow streets.

Very classy property. Everything about it is first class.

Parking was the tight, but very doable.

The hotel is a close walk to town and so beautiful - old world charm with modern amenities. The staff was amazing and attentive, the views were gorgeous.

There is no direct access to the lake, BUT there are access points 15-20 min walking in either direction and the pool and views were excellent. This is just an FYI - we very much enjoyed our stay

Schöne Villa mit einem ganz besonderen Charme! Zimmer und Badezimmer sind neu und großzügig. Schöner Pool mit Service und Liegewiese. Das Frühstück auf der Terrasse mit Seeblick ist ein Highlight.

It’s not directly on the water and is a short walk from town but not directly in town. It’s a small issue.

Facility, and especially the staff, were excellent. Marika, who first greeted us upon arrival, helped me back into the tight parking space, and showed us to our room , was fantastic, and could not be more gracious and professional. Balcony was well designed to provide a decent view of the lake.

Parking spaces could have been larger, but, there doesn't appear to be much room for expansion in that area.

Super vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Prachtig art nouveau hotel met moderne kamers. Gezellig ontbijten op het terras bij mooi weer. Goed restaurant. Heerlijk zwembad.

Jugendstilvilla mit passender Wandgestaltung, Möbel, Geschirr. Große Zimmer, helle große Bäder, hauseigener Pool, toller Garten mit alten Bäumen.

Es gibt nichts zu beanstanden. Wirklich nicht.

Wenn ein Hotel die Bezeichnung "Grand Hotel" verdient, dann ist es das Laurin. Es ist zwar kein großes Hotel, aber ein sehr luxuriöses und exklusives mit einer herausragenden Architektur, exzellenten Service und sehr leckerer Küche. Die Innenstadt von Salò ist in 5 Minuten fußläufig zu erreichen, die Zimmer sehr sauber, die Lage toll. Ja, es gibt eine Straße vor dem Haus, die wir aber nicht als störend empfanden. Mehr erfreuten wir uns an dem schönen Garten und dem wunderbaren Blick auf den See. In unseren Augen ist das Laurin ein Gesamtkunstwerk!

This was a grand Villa, whch turned into a hotel in 1960. Everything is updated and beautiful. The grounds are gorgeous. Staff is wonderful. We loved our room. All was wonderful and I highly recommend. Just know that there is a 7 minute walk to the beginning of Salo's passeggiata.
