Cost for the parking at the hotel extra cost, bar cocktails was too high, they closed both pools down for over 4 hours stating maintenance but there was no maintenance completed. Then they stated due to bad weather, beautiful day no storms present. They stated free breakfast but it cost $23.99 per person for breakfast that was not worth it. The stated items on the menu that was not available.

The buffet breakfast was perfect; the walk to the beach was very short. Valet parking was convenient but pricey. The room was large for 2 adults.

2 fire alarms, which meant we had to leave the hotel; parking adds up; kids in the 21-and-over pool; adults with glass-bottle drinks in the pool. The room was right next to the bar, loud crowds at night.

Enjoyed the atmosphere.

Would have liked to use more of the amenities, restaurants a bit pricey. There was a charge for everything.

It was clean.

I booked and ocean view, but was given a street view. Staff lied and said that was what I booked, even when I showed them confirmation. I have always stayed here, but after that I will never be back.

Heerlijke ontspannen locatie, je loopt zo het strand op! zwembad is groot en prachtig en dineren in het restaurant is aan te raden. Er is een uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet en je kunt gratis fietsen gebruiken (wel even een app installeren, maar werkt heel makkelijk). Om in de omgeving naar winkels of andere restaurants te gaan is een auto wel noodzakelijk.

De kamers zijn OK maar niet bijzonder luxe voor de prijs die je betaald. Schoonmaken gebeurde laat op de dag waardoor ook de handdoeken pas laat werden vervangen.

Room was great! Very quiet complex! Pools are amazing! Literally my favorite part of the complex!

Parking - do yourself a favor and valet! We opted for self-park since we were only staying 2 nights. Pricing at counter was much higher than what in room information stated. Had we known it was half the price stated at the check-in counter we would have valeted. It's a fairly long way to walk with bags if you self park.

Shoutout to Hannah the manager, she was so wonderful!!! It's really is a gorgeous hotel and we loved exploring the state park and beach.

It’s our 4th annual trip. We like the staff is consistent from year to year. They are kind and professional. We loved to addition of the family pool and the property upgrades.

We love the The Lodge we try to go for a few days every year. Pristine beaches excellent friendly staff. Great restaurants on site with excellent food choices. They added a new pool and easier beach access.

The bed was uncomfortable. Too hard for us. But I know you cant put beds in that everyone are comfortable in.

Bed was uncomfortable. If you chose self park it was $15 dollars and we had to park about 500 yards from the building our room was in. The people at check in had all the luggage carts set aside for valet parking and concierge service. Since we had to walk a fair distance from the closet place to unload our luggage we ended up having to get someone to take our things to the room and tip them for the use of the cart since there were no to use ourselves. May be a high class hotel but to me it was more of a huge resort instead of a beachfront hotel. Not to my liking. Won’t be a return guest.

We recently visited The Lodge for our third stay. We love it! The team provides top notch customer service and are always so friendly and helpful. We absolutely love the new family pool! It has plenty of lounge chairs and space for our family to spread out and enjoy it. The variety of restaurants is awesome extensive and the food is always so delicious. We don't even have to leave to have a wonderful meal! We plan to return later this year for another visit!

Unorganized when checking in only a few carts for luggage unloading/loading one person to check in had a bit of a wait to check in because of these things Also they charge a fee I believe it was $15 to use luggage carts and they expect a tip we just took our luggage ourselves up to the 3rd floor Self Parking is a bit of a walk and is $15 day They have valet parking I think it was $20 day Our last day lots of seaweed and I know that’s out of the hotels control but I’ve never seen it that bad !

Just me and my twin sister on a girls trip! When we arrived it was very confusing on where to patk and how to get our stuff to our room! The man that runs the bell man service is very rude and will not let you use a cart unless you pay !! We added a night to our stay so they had us move rooms on our 4th night! That was fine but they double booked the room and we had a man walk in on us ! The front desk called me and demanded we get out!! I told her no way were we moving rooms again and the only way I would consider is if we could get a refund and we would go ahead and check out!! The front desk people are very rude and the man at the bell man stand was literally telling the other guys not to help people cause it was his job and they weeee messing with his money ! Very unprofessional and just very awkward to witness!! It’s a mess waiting your your car if you get valet and you really have to get valet or walk a mile !! The resort is nice and has a lot to offer but very very poor customer service !

Coffee maker in room was not working.

I had reserved ocean front room and they gave me room facing the road and they told he that booking.com tricked you. Then they offered me ocean front room for extra $100 upgrade fee per day. First night the ocean front room was right above the bar which was so noisy that me and my wife were not able to get good sleep. Then after complaining they switch me to a better room. It was my 33rd wedding anniversary and we had to go through this bad experience.

The room smelled like feet. The carpet or rug in the room should be removed. Noisy because of highway view. I asked for a balcony with an ocean view. Once it was booked the accommodation said garden view. Noisy highway was never mentioned. Therefore, I will not book through Booking.com again.

You don't have to leave the site - they have everything you need - food, drinks, pool, and beach access. Even though I travelled with beach gear, I opted to just use the service on the beach to make it much more convenient. The site even has towels you can use; next time I'll pack much lighter.

There was a huge glitch in the system. It took four tries of back and forth to reset our keys in order to access our room. This became a huge pain. There is also only one set of elevators for the hotel side; mildly inconvenient.

Everything was great. Staff was friendly. Room was clean.

I didn’t like there was no longer a beach shower to wash off sand. Please fix that.

They were in the middle of some construction

Lack of care: weed smell, inappropriate pool conduct, and not answering the phone. Lovely location, but unfortunately the customer service and management issues really took away from the experience. First, there appears to be a serious premises liability concern around the new pool area involving the handicap railing. For a property that welcomes guests of all ages and abilities, safety and accessibility should be taken much more seriously. The pool atmosphere was also inappropriate for families. At one point, there was a couple in the pool openly groping each other, making loud inappropriate noises, including discussing what they were doing, and behaving in a way that made other guests visibly uncomfortable. Staff either did not notice or chose not to address it, which only added to the lack of professionalism throughout the property. The front desk experience was also incredibly disappointing. One woman at the desk had a horrible attitude from the start. At one point, she answered the phone only to immediately hang it back up. When we later tried calling with a concern, we waited on hold for over ten minutes with no help whatsoever. That level of customer service is simply unacceptable for a resort property. To make matters worse, the same employee directed us to get coffee from the restaurant inside the lodge, only for the restaurant staff to seem equally frustrated because the hotel and restaurant clearly were not on the same page. We were told they were not open yet and could not even serve coffee. The workers themselves seemed annoyed by the confusion. Another issue is the coffee shop closing at 2 PM. Why would a lodge catering to travelers close its coffee service that early? Many guests arrive later in the afternoon and would likely enjoy being able to grab coffee, tea, or hot chocolate and relax on the porch. It feels very poorly planned and out of touch with what guests actually want. Overall, the property itself has potential, but the communication, professionalism, guest management, and customer service need major improvement. Right now, the operation feels very unorganized and misguided.

Love the amenities and location of the hotel. I have stayed here dozens of times over the years while visiting family. If you check in late (after 5pm), you will receive a crappy room. This has happened on several occasions. I requested a room near the elevator for my elderly parent. When I checked in last night, I was assured by the front desk that my room was FIVE doors away from the elevator. It’s actually at the very end of the hallway in a completely different corridor!!! Called the front desk and was told that there was absolutely nothing they could do about it! These rooms are not cheap! DO BETTER!

Liked that it was off to itself and away from the crowds. Liked the two pools and the beach.

No hot tub.

So clean and fresh. Staff was super friendly. Great breakfast buffets. Beach access so easy.

Weather was cool and rainy but we did get beach time in on our last day.

This is one of the best facilities if you want to be on the beach at the gulf in Alabama. The hotel has a very convenient pool and then just a few feet in front of the pool you can actually be on the beautiful white sand beach. The facility is very nice and easy to get around. The food credit for Hilton diamond members is very handy. Great food in the restaurants Foodcraft and Perch. Really enjoyed their poolside food at the Dragonfly. This is a place you want to come back to again. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Gym is well equipped and convenient. Great meeting facilities are available.

This is our favorite place! We love how close to the beach it is and the price is manageable.

We don’t like that the price goes up and down

Went to a favorite resort to celebrate our 30th anniversary and break a 12 hour drive into Florida up. The new pool modifications were welcome as were the sustainable touches, more percolation areas brought personality and beauty to the spaces and the LED lighting along with turned down lighting to encourage turtle migration were nice specific touches.

Perhaps the nicest Hilton we have stayed at and a total surprise. The views of the Gulf are priceless and all rooms have balconies overlooking the Gulf. We booked a two room suite with kitchenette. Comfy bed and powerful shower. Only miss: No robes! Excellent fitness center with two Peloton bikes. Only miss: No yoga mats. Pool area is massive with more than 200 lounge chairs and always open. Features include beach bar, ice cream shop and pool bar open until 10pm that also serves food, Two excellent restaurants very reasonably priced with fresh food and decent cocktails. Foodcraft is a must and Perch is has prime steaks. Both offer outdoor dining with views of the Gulf. Coffee shop very nice. Love the huge lobby and outdoor rocking chairs overlooking the Gulf. Great location just eight miles from the Flora Bama. Overall, a must stay resort if you are heading to the Orange Beach and Gulf Shores area.

One of the best beach views in my experience in recent years. It feels so secluded being in the state park so going onto the beach feels private and serene. They are taking great care to preserve the natural landscape. Also the hotel itself is a dream, with two “shared” balconies on each floor with an ocean view, if you don’t stay in a room with an ocean view. The state park across the street is also immaculate. 10/10 stars, such a different experience from most beach hotels, in the BEST way.

We visited The Lodge in early March. The weather was great and so was The Lodge! What a beautiful and unique place. Every employee we encountered made us feel at home. We ate onsite and loved all of the food at their restaurants. They are almost finished with a new pool, which is going to be amazing! We will be coming back this summer for sure to watch every minute of those incredible sunsets!

I loved the lobby, the valet service, the restaurants, and our room was great. The view was amazing!

They were working in the pool 2 of the 3 days we were there, so we listened to a jackhammer almost all day. On Wednesday, it started at 8 am. Also, we didn’t get any maid service on Tuesday.

Evertything is amazing in this hotel. Outstanding facilities, location, breakfast and etc.

Honestly, for a hotel at this level, charging for things like parking and beach chairs feels a bit cheap and off-putting.

Our room was not a balcony room but, right across our hallway was a large common area balcony that faced the ocean with very comfortable furniture. Just wonderful! Valet parking was very quick. The beach is so beautiful there and there is a very nice pier right next door. A second pool is being put in right now and is going to be very nice. Great restaurants right on site.

Location was the best part!

I'm not sure if our room was updated... no where to plug in our electronics. Also wish the TV was at least 50in. Bathroom need some type of exhaust fan and shower head could be better.

The fluctuation of the room pricing. Also the difference between park side and beach side was a lot. You had to pay for parking as well as a travel tram for your luggage.

The construction of the new pool did take away from the view, but we fully understand that it has to be done. We really weren't in the room during the day so the noise was not an issue

Beautiful hotel - location right on the beach is stunning! Right next to the state park which you can explore by bike. Friendly staff, amazing breakfast buffet. Large rooms. Highly recommended!

This hotel has large trash cans in the rooms and that by itself is enough for me to give it 4 stars. The main lodge is cute, Foodcraft is great, the rooms are clean and pretty good sized. There is construction on the balcony side that faces the beach, but that is a temporary inconvenience. I'm not a fan of the $15 money grab for parking in a lot that they own when even the City of Gulf Shores is offering free parking during the off season, but that's the trend these days.

Just average. I was expecting to be impressed, and hoping to have lots of activities to do on-site, but there isn't. We traveled in the off season, but still hoped to enjoy the pool and ocean. There are no cabanas by the ocean as pictured, and the pool was unheated and frigid. There was also major construction going on with the addition of a larger pool area. This wasn't disclosed anywhere when we booked. It was noisy, but only during the day. Food and beverages are VERY expensive, and the lodge holds you captive to eat there as it's not within walking distance of anything. There are also no in-room microwaves in case you want to warm up your leftovers. Also no guest laundry. The lobby area is really inviting and we enjoyed relaxing there. Overall, I expected more, and came to enjoy the ocean. That is your asset! I would have rented a cabana chair everyday i was there, if I could.
