The staff was the best part of the hostel, especially the two women working at the front. They were helpful and answered all questions about hikes and gave great tips! They stored my luggage. Kitchen was decent, liked the open seating and also liked the open seating of common rooms throughout the hostel.

As others have stated in reviews, I had a single room for $50/a night (expensive in a hostel), it was tiny, and I could hear everything. I was right outside the kitchen and had to wear ear plugs every single night. I heard people getting up at 3.45am to hike to a sunrise - which is fine - no one can help the structure and soundproofness of the building. It's an older building and love the history of it, but for what I paid for and what little sleep I got, and how small the room was, while preparing for big hikes, it was tough to justify the price.

El personal muy amable y paciente en te explicar los trekking. Supimos después que fue uno de los primeros hoteles en el chalten a lo cual me sentí más cerca de la historia de la ciudad. Lo super recomiendo, un ambiente muy amable.

We stayed in the apartment which was very spacious and had a great shower

There were no blinds on the windows only light curtains on 2 of the 4 windows. There were street lights and lights attached to the building right near one of our windows so it was very bright at night. It was also a little cold but there were plenty of blankets so it was warm in bed

I like the fact that the place was very conveniently located in the staff were able to answer all my questions and give me advice sometimes.Including the weather reports and how to get to certain places

I did not like the fact that they did not offer free breakfast for the high price that I paid. Which was $18 a night? I thought that was expensive, and I think breakfast should have been included or at least something. And there was absolutely nothing. Also, the internet worked downstairs, but not so good upstairs. And also the room that it was in, it was good. But it was really crowded when they had fallen a Full House. I mean, and sometimes, you know, you'd get somebody in the room that doesn't like certain people. And they would tell you to turn the lights off and try to control everybody. So I mean, sometimes there is a personality or culture, clash, and and in that case, I would rather be by myself, or with less people in the room.

Great location, I could also borrow hiking poles. Very spacious space.

Breakfast was very rudimentary. The room was very basic and a bit chilly most of the time and the wifi in the room was bad, since I think the room is far from the router, since in the common area wifi works great. Overall, it’s on the pricey side for what you get. I stayed in a private room.

el lugar muy bonito y acogedor, la cocina esta totalmente equipada y tiene buen espacio, los baños se encontraban siempre muy limpios, las habitaciones son un poco estrechas pero nada que llegara a afectar la estancia, el lugar tiene un aroma muy agradable y los espacios son muy bonitos

Hubo un poco de filtracion de aire por la ventana tuvimos que bajar totalmente la persiana y tapar el ingreso del aire frio que aunque era pequeño el espacio se sentia el ingreso del frio, nada que no se solucionara en menos de un minuto pero estaria bueno que se revisara.

If you sleep above the kitchen it can be cuite noisy, showers are seperated between men and women but could have more privacy (there is only a curtain)

Muy pequeñas las habitaciones para pretender instalar 4 huéspedes. Los espacios para transitar la habitación se vuelven demasiado reducidos e incómodos. Entiendo la dinámica de habitaciones compartidas pero no está bien que no piensen en los desplazamientos dentro de la misma habitacion para 4 personas .

L’hostel est très propre ! Les locaux sont niquel et c’est de loin la cuisine la mieux équipée et propre que j’ai vu. Il est également très bien situé puisque les départs de randos sont à côté.

La cabaña es muy bonita y cómoda.

Absolutamente todo. Las instalaciones, el personal y lo bonito que es por fuera y por dentro. Completamente recomendable

El desayuno es, quizá, un poco caro en comparación con las alternativas que hay en el pueblo. Pero aún así es muy completo.

Zeer nieuw en schoon hostel, met veel ruimte en alle faciliteiten die je nodig hebt, op uitstekende locatie.

Doordat het van hout is en mensen vertrekken vaak midden in de nacht voor trekking, was het ook erg luidruchtig. Ze zouden wat bordjes moeten ophangen zodat mensen stiller zijn ‘s nachts.

Within .5 miles of trailheads, knowledgeable staff that was very used to trekkers and backpackers. Breakfast for $10 was marginal okay. Good setup for cooking and storage, just wish the pans and knives were better.

La ubicación es excelente, el hotel tiene espacios grandes y tranquilos para poder estar, lo mismo que el hostel, tiene una cocina y comedor que se puede usar sin problemas y esta muy completo y limpio. Es un lugar muy agradable para pasar unos días tranquilos.

El wifi no llega a las habitaciones muy bien, por lo menos a la mía que estaba en el fondo del hotel no llegaba como para ver una película o algo en el celular, había que ir hasta el lobby del hotel. La calefacción estaba un poco baja para la temperatura que hacía, pero tampoco afectaba demasiado. El desayuno un poco pobre, el café siempre estaba medio frío y no hay microondas para calentar.

Loved this hostel, clean, cosy and functional. Had a great time in the kitchen, meeting other travellers and being able to cook was great.

Only thing was lack of bottle opener in the kitchen, how are we supposed to open the Malbec?

La atención del personal

Pedí para ir con me pareja y tenían camas individuales, y los ruidos de los dormitorios Vecinos se escuchavan como si estaría en el mismo, 0 aislamiento.

Fiquei em um quarto privado com minha parceira. Quarto era simples, porém com tudo no lugar. Limpo, cama confortável, aquecedor, chuveiro bom. 10/10.

The location and the staff

We took a double room and we myst say.. really disappointing. First of all everything was quite dirty plus the room was so small there was literally no space to open up even one luggage. Wouldn’t recommend

Not much

We paid for a private room as we wanted to be well rested however the walls were so thin it may aswell been 1 big dorm. I could even hear people breathing in the room next to me. People are waking up at 2/3am to start hikes so you’ve being woken up constantly. The seating area is also placed right outside of the rooms, people having very little consideration and sat here all hours of the night. This area is more expensive to stay at because of the area, but forking out so much for a private and it then be louder than what most dorms are was a real kick in the teeth. Don’t waste your money at this hostel.

The staff was extremely helpful and help us plan all our activities. They also give you good advice weather wise. The room (private) was very comfortable and the beds and shower great!

Breakfast was simple but ok, additional cost for eggs (which were delicious by the way)

Breakfast had baked sweet foods that were good, rest similar to other hostels we stayed in the region. Comfortable rooms, built-in rack in shower for hanging washed clothes. Free luggage storage before we checked in.

Gemütliches zentral gelegenes Hostel. Außerordentlich freundliche Mitarbeitende, die jederzeit mit Rat und Tat unterstützen. Angeboten wird u.a. ein Shuttle zum Trailhead des Fitz Roy Treks (kostenpflichtig). Die Gemeinschaftsräume, Küche, Bäder etc. sind sehr sauber.

Die Küchenausstattung ist ok, aber etwas limitiert. Bspw. wäre ein Dosenöffner sehr hilfreich.

I stayed in a private room with a shared bathroom and found it very clean and comfortable. Good location - close to start of few trail hikes. Staff very helpful with planning when to do hike depending on weather. Shared bathrooms cleaned regularly.

Staff were excellent - Very helpful and friendly. Location is also very convenient for hikes and bars/restaurants.

Facilities are extremely poor. WiFi doesn’t reach the rooms. Showers aren’t great - shower heads need replacing and it falls off constantly. The bed was like sleeping on a plank of wood and the pillows are about as thick as a sheet of paper. If this was a cheap place to stay I could overlook these things but it’s expensive, and in comparison to the facilities of other air BnB / alternative hostels in the area of people we met in el Chalten and who paid a similar price to us, it’s just not acceptable. I’d personally recommend looking to stay elsewhere as a result of this.

We have stayed in a privat room in this hostel. The location was great & the staff was friendly. There is a free parking lot for the customers. Dont expect an extra comfort, but it is functional. By the time we booked our room it was one of the cheapest options in El Chalten, and for this it was totally okay.

The walls / doors are very thin in the corridor where the private rooms are. It is a hostel and a lot of people talking loudly. If you know it and it is okay for you there is no other downside.

Een gezellig hostel, met knusse gezamelijke ruimtes en heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Op een fijne plek gelegen.

De bar tegenover gaf af en toe in de avond wat meer geluid dan ideaal was in onze kamer.

J’ai aimé le lieu en tant que tel ainsi que la proximité de l’hostel du centre et des départs de randos. Le personnel est très sympathique également

העובדים בדלפק היו נחמדים מאוד ויעילים. החדר היה נעים ונוח וכלל כל מה שאנחנו צריכים. השירותים והמקלחת היו נוחים, אפשר לבשל במטבח המשותף של ההוסטל ולשמור מצרכים ומזון במקרר. הנוף מהחלון יפהפה והמיקום טוב מאוד

בשביל הכסף ששילמנו אפשר היה לתת קצת יותר והחדר יכול היה להיות נקי יותר (אבל באל צ'אלטן הכל יקר)

Il est dommage de payer un supplément pour avoir des œufs au petit-déjeuner lorsque le prix de la chambre est 40 à 50% plus cher qu'ailleurs en Argentine (effet El Chalten), même chose, il n'y a pas de thé ni de café disponible dans la cuisine

La ubicación con acceso rápido a los senderos , la limpieza del lugar, el desayuno buffet incluido en las habitaciones privadas.

Preferiría que los baños de las habitaciones privadas tuvieran bidet.

Desayunó básico tienes qué pagar extra para comer huevos, nos hemos quedado 4 noches, 3 personas en 1 habitación y no vinieron a limpiar la habitación durante la estancia, la ducha muy básica

Tudo é muito prático e organizado. Funcionários são atenciosos, quarto espaçoso e bem higienizado. Café da manhã com o necessário. Cozinha atende em tudo o que necessita. E excelente localização.

Wi-Fi fraco mas nada que atrapalhasse a estadia. Padrão da cidade.

Frühstück war recht bescheiden.

Ficamos em na cabana do Patagônia Travellers Hostel - uma entre outras opções de acomodação desse local. O aquecimento é muito bom abrangendo os dois quartos, a sala de estar e cozinha. O banheiro é razoável, mas o chuveiro é excelente. Em linhas gerais, a cabana é ótima para quem quer se recuperar depois de uma caminhada em El Chaltén e manter sua privacidade, especialmente se está viajando em família.

Os utensílios da cozinha estão precisando de substituição, especialmente as panelas. Parecem estar ali há uns 200 anos... Outra coisa que nos incomodou foi a grande quantidade de moscas dentro da cabana, o que nos transformou em exterminadores desses insetos, munidos de panos e chinelos. Pelo preço alto que se paga, não é algo que se espere encontrar...

Location was great.

Bathroom smelled and felt gross. Breakfast was toast and cereal with some cold cuts. Comforter had a brown stain on it which the staff DID change upon request.

Although well maintained, the hostel could use some upgrades (e.g. the bed).
