Rancho Grande Hostel

Excelente ubicación, camino a los senderos. Tiene un restaurante las 24 horas y un barcito afuera muy lindo. Limpieza 10 puntos, todo el día. La habitación compartida tenía una hermosa vista al cerro y buena ventilación. La cocina tiene de todo. Hay espacio y wifi para trabajar. El personal, divino y muy atento.

Super Hostel très vivant et très bien situé

Que es muy bonito, las vistas, la recepción fue excelente. El tipo de gente que hay es gente muy buena... La habitación contaba con calefacción, las camas eran justas, los baños suficientes. El menaje de la cocina muy suficiente. También muy cerca a los senderos que es prácticamente el motivo por el cual fui al Chalten

Location is perfect!!

My poor rating explains this: They assigned me to the room at the end and it was super cold despite having a heater. I went down to tell them but they said they’re full. Of course they lied. And would I know? I went to this website and tried to book the same room and there’s availability. 4 nights and I slept with my socks and jacket on! The hallway, on the other hand, is so warm.’ Also, the bathroom is cold.

Such a brilliant place for hiking. Really good room, friendly staff and brilliant breakfast. We stay there 10 days and was the perfect place to explore all the hikes. Breakfast available really early if you wanted to do a sunrise hike and room was cleaned every day if you wanted to be.

Only issue was the kitchens were way too small for the amount of guests they have there. We were there in low season and it was still way too crowded at nights.

Lugar, ubicacion y cocina

The location was great, close to the trailhead and near rental shops to get equipment for the hikes. The reception lady showed us the map of hikes and explained where we could go and approximately how long it’d take, which was perfect to organize ourselves.

The kitchen was a bit small, there’s actually 2 but all the guests cook dinner around the same time so it gets crowded. The dorms don’t have their own bathroom, so you have to walk and it’s not convenient at night after a long day of hike.

Prático para fazer a trilha do Fitz Roy. Espaço comum com muitos sofás. Restaurante funciona 24 horas.

Um pouco de cheiro de calçado nos corredores porque o pessoal deixa os calçados secando após as trilhas. Mas as moças da limpeza são muito caprichosas em toda a limpeza.

Me gustó la ubicación, la atención del personal muy amable.

El personal en el lobby fue muy atento, el desayuno estuvo delicioso y me encantó que lo servían desde la 1 am.

Estuve en una de las habitaciones del primer piso y había mucho ruido tanto de la calle como dentro del establecimiento.

La cuisine... tres petite, pas d espace pour cuisiner, pas propre, peu équipée.

Muy cerca de las rutas para caminar el parque, desayuno desde la 1am hasta las 10h, a la carta bastante abundante. Restaurante en el hostal muy bueno, aunque precios un poco altos en general en toda la ciudad. La habitación estaba bien, solo que no había privacidad porque la ventana daba a la calle y las cortinas eran casi transparentes.

No hay mucho ambiente de hostel porque no ha muchas zonas comunes cómodas (solo un pequeño salón y unas mesas para comer y la cocina)

Very comfortable private room. Incredibly convenient for the walking trails. Very generous food portions in the restaurant (hot food excellent). Friendly and helpful staff.

Sandwich in the take out lunchbox was incredibly dry (dry bread with no butter / mayo etc), but this was only a minor issue during my stay.

The room was very spacious, which isn't always the case in hostels. The staff went above any beyond, helping a friend of mine get his laundry and remembering my name after staying there for three days! There were two kitchens and I never had a hard time finding space to cook or store my food. Perfectly located for the Mt. Fitz Roy hike!

The dorm doors were very loud when shut, but that wasn't a big deal.

La ubicación excelente, hotel cómodo, el desayuno muy bueno, muy limpio,.central para realizar los senderos, el personal muy amable, el restaurante al ser huesped te genera un descuento, atención las 24 horas, desayuno desde la 01:30 a.m ideal para madrugar a la montaña.

La puerta de ingreso de los huéspedes del segundo piso al cerrar hace mucho ruido y en ocasiones interrumpe el sueño.

Lugar muy amplio y cómodo, tanto para dormir, como para cocinar y relajarte en la zona del living. El internet excelente, muy rápido, ideal Para las personas que tienen que trabajar. Ademas la ubicación espectacular, ya que esta ubicado en una de las calles principales y a metros del Sendero que te lleva a la Laguna Los Tres

El internet no llega muy bien a las habitaciones, aunque no esta tan mal, ya que al no tener conexión te permite descansar mejor jaja

Wir wurden in das zugehörige Hotel nebenan verlegt. Hier waren wir sehr gut untergebracht. Das Frühstck war angemessen und ausreichend. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis im Hostel- Restaurant war gut

Todo es increíble! Súper recomendable . El personal muy cálido , la calefacción impecable , las duchas un lujo . Y el restaurant que está debajo abierto las 24 hs tiene excelente comida y te salva siempre cuando volves cansado de los trekkings .

Lo único malo es que no tienen habitaciones solo de mujeres , el resto impecable.

The draining system of the showers could be cleaned a bit more often. The community kitchen is quite small for the amount of guests and lacks utensiles but managable.

sijainti hyvä, kun kylä pieni. Lähellä osaa reittejä, toiset reitit alkaa toiselta puolelta kylää. Yleissiisti huone kerrossängyillö ja lokeroilla (oma lukko), hyvä hylly pistorasialla kaikilla sängyn vieressä, keittiössä yhteiskäyttöön jotain ruoka-aineita esim. öljy, suola, makaroni yms mitä muut jättäneet. Ruoat pitää nimetä teipillä se hyvä. On astianpesuainetta ja vessassa saippuaa. Sänky pedattiin päivittäin. Huoneen lämpötilaa pystyi helposti säätää patterilla. Yleisissä tiloissa aina elämää ja musiikkia, tarpeeksi tilaa ainakin sinä ajankohtana kun kävin (huhtikuu). Tavaransäilytystiloissa sai olla tavarat ennen tuloa ja check outin jälkeen, se hyvä! Auttavainen respa, kesällä varmaan kivat ulkotilatkin!

keittiöissä ruuhkaa lähes aina, astiat ja välineet kuluneita, esim muovikulhoista irtoaa muovia ja pannut tummuneita ja naarmuisia. Jääkaapit aivan täynnä, keittiössä ei pyyhkeitä tai siistejä tiskirättejä. Astiat pestään sienellä mikä ei koskaan kerkeä kuivamaan ja joka on likainen ja ylikäytetty (rakoilee/reikiä). Mielestäni nämä pitäisi vaihtaa yleisen hygienian vuoksi joka päivä, kun ovat näin suuressa käytössä aina. ei shampoota tai hoitoainetta tai vartalon pesuainetta suihkuissa, vessassa ei käsipyyhettä vaan käsikuivauspuhaltaja. Käytävän äänet kuuluu huoneisiin, sänky natisi paljon. Huoneissa 1 koukku per asiakas joka on todella vähän retkeilymajoituksessa. Ei kuivuria jos ulkovaatteet kastuisi! Yleiset tilat suhteellisen kylmät aina.

スタッフがとても親切でフィッツロイへ登るのにベストなタイミングを教えてくれたり、登山用のスティックを貸してくださいました。 宿に泊まるほとんどの人がハイキング目的なので、皆仲良く素敵な滞在時間を過ごすことができました。 24時間やっているレストランも大変便利です。宿泊者はディナー割引ありました。 スーパーや登山口、アウトドアショップが近くとても便利です。

Muito bem aquecido, restaurante 24 junto do hostel é muito bom, chuveiro bem quente, armário bem grande e dividido em dois.

Hard to rate this hostel, as we were kindly upgraded to the hotel next door. The staff were superhelpful, but otherwise there isn't much more i could add.

I stayed for 6 nights (travelling in low season is great - you are so much more flexible to extend a stay last minute). Comfortable beds. I asked for a lower bed as I am always scared of falling out of the upper bunk bed. Alan made it possible for me. Thank you so much! The rooms have lockers and get cleaned daily. Tha bathrooms get cleaned ALL the time (felt like every 15 minutes). The common area is big. Enough space to eat upstairs and some sofas in an open extra room and warm. Close to some of the hiking trails, possible to book shuttles through the hostel, possibility to eat in the restaurant 24 hours if you are too tired to cook. The best were the people staying there (you always find someone to talk to or do something with if you want to) and the people working there (Alan never got tired to give recommendations about the trails and to look up the weather report again and again, a girl working in reception with long hair who’s name I don’t know, was amazing when I told her about a man I met on the hike that was looking for his wife that had went missing and immediately contacted the Emergencias guardaparques even though the people were not staying in this hostel). Thank you so much! You made the difference! :) If I ever came back to El Chalten, I would stay here again.

The two kitchens are two small for a hostel that big in a town that’s so expensive. Everyone wants to cook at the same time and it’s a chaos because of that. Also the pans etc are well used and need replacement. Central heating so it gets really hot in the rooms (better though than too cold) and opening the windows during the night is not what everyone likes in a dorm… Far away from the bus station if you have a lot of luggage (10.000 ARS by taxi, there’s no Uber).

It seemed the most lively and popular place to stay in the area

Walls thin so would benefit from having signs in the accommodation areas for people to keep the noise down as I saw in other hostels. With many people with early starts it seems a reasonable request.
