Extremly kind, welcoming and helpful staff, beautiful lush green surroundings, great lication, fantastic breakfast. Would stay there again.

Ein kleines Paradies mit einer persönlichen Begrüßung und auch Verabschiedung durch die Inhaberin. Das Frühstück wurde den Wünschen angepasst und Gunaside, die gute Seele des Hauses, hat sich überschlagen, um einem alle Wünsche zu erfüllen. Einfach wundervoll und vor allem: wir kommen wieder!

Beautiful accommodation and very spacious. Great location near the beach. The breakfast was delicious and delicately presented and served. The owner was so helpful with any of our queries and looked after our dietary requirements.

2 Gehminuten zum Strand und gute Restaurants an der Beach. Sehr nette und hilfsbereite Inhaberin und Verwalter. Liebevolles und reichhaltiges Frühstück. Wir würden jederzeit dort wieder hin fahren.

Not only a quiet lane off the main road (Galle Road) but also secure and secluded behind a high gate and wall. A very nice haven. It's just a 5 minute walk down to the Mount Lavinia beach too. Very welcoming hosts and a nice, clean room with bathroom, AC, net, and veranda for breakfast. They have clearly spent a lot of effort making it comfortable. Less than half the price and more value than many other beach or Colombo hotels (I'm a regular visitor). Tuk tuks are available within minutes outside the gates to get into town for shopping etc.

Leaving after just 2 nights. They deserve regular custom.

Ein Idyll unmittelbar am Strand. Kleine Bungalows eingebettet von Palmen. Sehr ruhige Unterkunft. Sehr sauber, extrem freundlicher Service. Die Inhaberin spricht deutsch. Sehr zu empfehlen. Man merkt überhaupt nicht, dass man in einer Großstadt ist. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

A Spacious, homely and comfortable hidden away in a great location. The owner Janitha is very helpful and is often present. All necessary facilities are provided including washing machine when required and drinking water. Caretaker Gunaseelan does an excellent breakfast with a variety of Sri Lankan or western breakfast. He is ever ready to help with any matters. The property itself is very beautiful with ample gardens and extremely safe so any children can play around or even be left by themselves in the premises. Great parking space too. The kitchenette is well provided for with equipment including a fridge and gas cooker. Overall I would fully recommend this place for your stay. Great value for money too. Thank you Janitha and Gunaseelan.

No TV but we didn’t need one. A microwave would have been nice even as a communal resource.

Excellent Location. Breakfast was very good. The Bungalow was clean and spacious. Caretaker Gunaseelan was friendly and humble. This is my second stay and would definitely come back again.

Large room set in a lovely garden - with kitchenette. Owner January’s was very welcoming and Ganu couldn’t be more helpful.

It was a little further out of the city than we expected. Although it had a great beach location but as it was just at the end of rainy season and we were only there few days it wasn’t as beneficial as we thought . But a tuk tuk was about 40 mins drive to centre and an early morning taxi to train station was 20 mins. There were mosquitos so repellant is a must

Great location not far from shops, banks and beach. Beautiful setting in enclosed garden. Absolutely helpful host and caretaker. Spacious, comfortable cottage. We returned to the Cottage gardens on our way home adding an extra night. Will return on our next visit to Colombo.

We have one complaint, beyond the control of our kind, helpful host. In the local area there is some sort of 'Nightclub.' This place inflicts loud 'music' on the precinct most nights, waking you at 1am, and persisting until dawn. We were told that tourism was important to Sri Lanka. This 'Night club' is more likely to drive visitors away. Some authority should shut it down to benefit the hotels and tourist accommodation in the Mt Lavinia area.

I arrived in Srilanka by arriving in Cottage Garden, such a nice place for stay and take Srilankan temperature. Quite, peaceful, with tortule friends who is walking in the garden. Breakfast was very good and generous.

Very friendly and helpful staff, Janitha was really nice contacting me in advance and enabling an earlier check-in. Room was large and comfortable and breakfast pleasant. Property is about 50 metres from Mount Lavinia beach.

Occasional noise from the trains passing on the Colombo-Galle line, but it rarely disturbed us.

Wonderful place with alot of green spaces around.Staff went out of the way to make us comfortable.Wholesome and delicious breakfast was served with a smile.Beach was just minutes away.

Accomodation is excellent, the hosts also. Highly recommended.

Sometimes there is very loud music from the neighbourhood.. with earplugs I slept very well.

Serene and lovely gardens, warm and welcoming staff. Delicous breakfast. A truly lovely stay.

Secluded studio cottage with a separate kitchen and bathroom and an open veranda overlooking a lush garden with many birds and butterflies flitting about and with pet tortoises. Lovely hostess Janitha and room boy Seelan, who kept the cottage spotless, made us super breakfasts and gave us good advice on what to do.

The cottages are set in a lush and secluded garden surrounded by high walls. However, the property is on a busy road that can get noisy at times.

Great location in the heart of Mt Lavinia although doesn't feel like it with the property having a beautiful garden which is so quiet and tranquil. The bungalows themselves are very comfortable and spacious.

Nothing that I can think of

The bungalow is spacious, which was great for us with all our diving gear. And we loved the peaceful garden setting. The staff and Janitha, the owner, were ever so nice and helpful. A true highlight was the home cooked Sri Lankan breakfast we had every morning! We really enjoyed our stay there.
